Greetings Everyone! You know me as Enji-chou but my name is Kyla Estelle McNeilly!
As some fo your guys know on this guild I’m a recent graduate from BCIT, Richmond Christian Secondary, and blooming independent artist.
My skills vary from computer graphics, cartooning, Anime, Landscapes, Realism portraits; in digital, watercolour, and oil acrylic mediums. I’ve received awards for my work, and have taken part in conventions as a guest artist, hosting an exhibit of my work yearly for the past 3- 4 years.
I’m going to be honest- I just foudn out today that my family has fallen on hard times, seems like a traidtion every years- but the way my parents are dispariing.. I think it's going to be serious.
The only skill I have to offer to make things right is the gift I have in art. So I offer my services on all scopes of my expertise to anyone who will have me. I do not ask for ridiculous amounts for my work, we’re all being affected by this financial crisis- pay me only what you know is fair for the level of quality you’ll receive in return.
Tis season to give as they say, and I love what I do, and I give all my heart into anything I shall make for you. I would consider it a privilege to work for my keep and make my family have a wonderful Christmas this year.
I my rates are usually 50$ for an original oil painting, custom made to the clients request. But everything and ANYTHING is up for Negotiations.
Anything extra will simply cover expenses for bigger canvas and more paint if I run out!

again, I never thought it would come to this, but I never saw my mom and dad look so scared before. I'm trying to find a real job but the resession has really cut them up short. This is all I have to fall back on.
Perhaps it would be selfish if the money was all going to me- but it's not. Whatever I earn form this, will be sent to my folks to fix whatever is making them weep behind closed doors.

...Just an idea, Kyla and other WLer's, but why not make a request for face emotes to use in the RP's? I know some of you guys were doing sprite edits on KH face emotes for awhile there, but maybe Kyla can draw you ones that are more catered to being exactly what you want instead of relying on a sprite frame? You might even like them more just because they're drawn vs. pixlated.
For instance, you could request HAPPY RIO FACE, saaaaaad Rio face, I AM GONNA KICK YOUR a** RIO FACE, wtf are you talking about Rio face, etc.
Then it'd help Kyla as well as give a little plus in your posts.
Again, just an idea. "Times is hard" I know.

Wonderful idea, Rae! Kyla, if you could give a price estimate on those emotes, it's something I would seriously consider, especially if the proceeds are going to help out you and yours. I'd also request a Christmas present for Evan, but I have no idea what I would go for... sweatdrop Just a general "package" suggestion: 1 (neutral) 2 (neutral + emotion of choice) 3 (neutral + 1 emotion of choice + 1 artist-select emotion) 5 (neutral + 2 emotions of choice + 2 artist-select emotions) 10 (neutral + 5 emotions of choice + 4 artist-select emotions) 15 (neutral + 7 emotions of choice + 7 artist-select emotions) List of emotionsI checked my sprite sheets and they mostly have only 5 or 6 different emotions including Neutral, Angry, Surprised, Happy/Laughing, and a random emotion such as Sora and Riku's cocky grins, or Larxene's playful wink. However, because we are playing as ourselves and the RP setting gives us more leeway to use and express emotions with our characters than a video game does, that gives more room to use the various face emotes with a wider variety of available emotions. Hence the bundles of up to 15, although I dunno if I want to put you through that kind of work, Kyla-chan... Also, I'm pretty sure you can advertise your art on deviantart.com and sell your already established artwork as prints. I don't know the details because I'm not a Deviant myself, but I have seen several cases where people were selling their artwork there. I'm sure you could also sell pieces or prints on E-Bay, and probably get a really great deal for them to boot! Now these are all just suggestions, you don't actually have to do any of them. Yeah, depending on your estimate of something like the above, I'd probably order some myself! xd I've been trying to get them for forever, and the fact that it'd be going to someone I actually know/actually needs it is better.
Although, it does depend on how much, too... I'm kinda... lacking money right now... ^^; *thinking CHRISTMAS PRESENTS and HAVING TO BUY A NEW ID CAUSE I LOST MINE and CLOTHES and MORE PRESENTS and TRAIN FARE and FOODZ and LAUNDRY and BUBBLE TEA and SAVING FOR DISNEY WORLD and LOANS*

But Rae- you're idea is ingenious! Bobbi your organization is perfect@!
I could deffinatly pull something like that off! It's a common pratice for animators to make a sheet of expressions to refference so we don't get confused as we make illustrations, so I've been practicing this whole time on you guys, I didn't think those expressions would be so useful. But you're right!
When I come up with a price, I always rate it like this. Time vs.Effort.vs resources vs.result.
Meaning, if I spend a lot of time- if I struggle or I find it easy - I use up my ink/pencils/paper - and if it looks good, or shitty= that usually effects the price.
Like..
if it's easy- I don't use a lot of time - I don't use up alot of my stuff- and it looks good, the price is fairly cheap.
or - if I struggle with the different people- it takes a lot of time- I us eup my pen ink 1 or 2- and it looks good- it maybe a bit more.
BUT- if it looks bad- I'm willing to lower the price cause I REFUSE(inspite of all the work) to charge ANYTHING for CRAP!

Ebay might be a good way to do it. I just set up a paypal acount, I'm still tyring to figure out how that all works. On deviantart- there's no process that sends any of my earned money to my acount-which confuses me..(where does it go? confused )
Anyone got experiance in this kinda stuff?

...Well paypal's fairly straightforward. You send an invoice to the person for the amount you are charging them and for what services/goods. (Technically you could just request money, but using the invoice allows you to itemize exactly what's being ordered. It helps protect both the buyer and the seller in the event of a scam/lack of payment.) I think paypal charges a fee, but it's tiny... I don't think it'd hurt your wallet. You get the person's address, but not much else about them. Paypal's supposed to maintain privacy, after all.
That's my experience from buying/selling on EGL, anyway...
DA, no idea. Why not ask someone who already sells prints on there? Or you can do commissions out of your journal. Lots of artists do that,
...I don't think ebay's a good idea. In my experience, ebay can be kinda shady...
And... even the roughest ballpark estimate would be helpful for us potential buyers to decide if we can request your services. ^^;

Yeah, I think just paypal-ing it is the safest way. Then I think you can actually do it from here or your journal on DeviantArt. :33 And the expressions idea is great, since I often have a hard time with those to actually draw them XD
