Mahogany Sunset Round: 6 Stage: 1 - Shallows Breath: 6/10 (-1 with roll) Score: 4Once again, the little mare's clumsiness showed itself, and she stubbed her other hoof on a web of rough coral as she passed above it. This time, she even scraped it. Dang it! Round: 7 Stage: 1 - Shallows Breath: 5/10 (-1 with roll) Score: 4 (+1 with roll)And here came the otter once more; he forgave her, albeit with a sigh, and then declared himself to be her traveling companion. He was an extrovert, he claimed - he did better around people. The little mare, already exhausted by him, just shook her head and gave him a rueful smile. She could use more friends, even if she had set out on this journey to be on her own.

Round: 8 Stage: 1 - Shallows Breath: 4/10 Score: 5Drifting along, and sometimes clinging to the otter, the little mare finally found herself in front of a small tunnel. Exchanging a glance with her otter friend, the pair of them played hoof-paw-rock until they could decide who would go first. The mare, naturally, lost a few rounds, and therefore would be the first into the cave (which, naturally, she would have been anyway, considering that she started this journey on her own).

Sangria was still trying to find the right place to dive headfirst into the waves. Alas she was distracted by yet another piece of jewelry. Oh well, finders keepers.

Round: 9 Stage: 2 - Trench Breath: 4/10 (-2 with roll) Score: 5 (+3 with roll)The little mare did her best to keep her fins quiet as she and the otter roved about the trench. It was not a well-lit area, of course; trenches hardly ever are. She followed him occasionally, but mostly he followed her. Her skin crawled as she gazed down dark tunnel after dark tunnel... and finally found something that made her nearly jump out of her skin and run screaming for the surface. She settled for startled silence instead as she gazed into the large eyes of the smooth-shelled reptile before her. Even the otter behind her, who bumped into her, fell into a mute awe, staring at the creature. Letting out a few bubbles, the mare slowly backed away the way she had come, letting her tail fin propel her away. Before she completely left its sight, though, the mare bowed to the turtle, offering respect for its great size, long life, and many memories.

Well it helped ease the sting of rotten coral. Sangria stuck her nose into the water and gently bit down on the pearl necklace that had been dropped.

Round: 9 Stage: (3 - Cave) Breath: 6/10 Score: 3Her journey had finally ended. Sangria stood in front of the altar in the cave, the one she couldn't find at all yesterday, and stared with reverence at the structure. She nosed gently at the slab of rock and could imagine the fear that creatures felt as they stared, knowing their life was coming to an end. Closing her eyes Sangria swayed back and forth before her ears pricked forward. Something else was down here, something old, something ancient, something that exuded a dark presence that she was picking up on. Although knowing she should be scared and turning around she could not help but admire the scratched markings that her sharp gaze was picking up on. Hearing a shuffling sound further into the cave the mare stood at attention before sinking into a kneeling position. As a sign of her respect for the dark entity Sangria placed all her found jewelry onto the altar and gently placed on of her needles there too. It wasn't said but she directed the thought to whatever lurked in the shadows. "I pay you my respect. Continue to live in the shadows as you have done." Once more smiling ruefully at him, the mare dove deep, back into the trench, to see what more it had to offer her.

Round: 11 Stage: 2 - Trench Breath: 4 Score: 8After wandering a bit more now that her lungs were filled, the mare wondered how this rumored population had ever survived down here. She could barely hold her breath through encounters with unfriendly coral, her... friendly... otter, and a surprise sea turtle - how had they managed to stay hidden for decades? And only begin to appear now? While pondering this, the mare felt an elbow in her side. Her companion pointed ahead with a sleek paw to where a drop-off led even deeper... And across the way, a cave loomed. Fear shot through her, but this was what she had come here for. Trepidation tugged at her, but she crept forward all the same.

Round: 12 Stage: 3 - Cave Breath: 4 Score: 8 (+10 with roll)The little mare approached the mouth of the cave, and within, spotted something sinister. Having become rather fond of her otter companion, she bade him wait outside; this place felt unnatural. Creeping further into the cave, she found a rectangular platform, upon which were set all kinds of trinkets and old, aged bones. While this place felt sacred, it also felt profane... and at the sound of a great moaning from deep within the cave, the little mare propelled herself like a shot out of there. She and her new otter companion got the heck out of dodge. Mahogany Sunset: Otter, rerollAdventure Complete / Ran Out Of Breath (Bold one) Total Score: 18 # of Rounds: 12
