For all the grief that her tiny body had given her, there was one thing that it was good for. As the screeching above them all turned to bad-sharp mirror-splinters, she was able to duck and dodge them, narrowly.
Up onto her toes she went, spinning in little circles to try and avoid the sharp edges, to try and keep her footing as best she could, hunching down into a little ball to protect herself, and-
She wasn't ashamed to admit, hiding between someone else's legs.
But, eventually the slivers were too much- not for Charybdis, but for the rumbly path she stood on.
As she tumbled down, her shrill, childish shriek of terror split the air unchecked.

Eternal Scylla - Bottom Path, Minor Wind, Kung-fu-fighting, balanced
Cracking, crushing, shaking, and the loss of her teammate's hand in her own- it was sudden, and Scylla was both bereft and infuriated. Panicked cries, people losing their footing and falling to the mirror wraiths, and she felt...
Helpless.
Scylla's Sorrow. She knew the words, didn't even have to speak them, and she could set the power free- to do what? Tumble into oblivion? Grab out to create a bridge to something that wasn't there? She was always too cautious. She never took risks. This was why she was losing- why they were losing. But she couldn't take the chance that she would be more hindrance than help.
Turned out, it would have been futility. The ceiling was caving in, it seemed, somewhere above the smoke, dropping shards of curling mirrors onto the pathways. She was able to dodge the large shards, but there was no amount of dodging that could keep you afloat.

"I'm--" 'Okay' wasn't really a word that she could utter in regards to her current state. Sore. Tired. Exhausted. Achey. Frustrated. Angry. Worn. Defeated. Those were all words that seemed to work far better, but she couldn't tell Danny that. She couldn't seem hopeless when, between the two of them, she was the one who should have been able to do something about their predicament.
She wanted to tell him to let go of her hand, that he'd make better time running forward on his own. She didn't, couldn't, holding on to his hand tightly even as the pathway began to crumble away beneath their feet, destruction raining down from above.
"Danny-- Danny, I'm sorry." Her apology was heartfelt, if it could even be heard over the shouts of others around them along with the rumbling crumble of debris. He might have been able to get out of this, if there even was an out, if he hadn't come back for her. Instead, down they both fell into the dark.

Mathias (-1)
Mathias had not been prepared to switch to a defensive stance so suddenly, and as he heard the sounds of shattering glass and the wraiths started to scatter, he barely managed to get his arms up to cover his vitals - for all the good it did him.
Likely due to his proximity to the roof - he had very little time to defend against the falling glass shards. He felt several of the larger ones sink into his shoulders and back, as the smaller ones cut against his arms and legs - opening small, painful cuts along his body.
Imara and Delilah are going to KILL me. He thought, as the ground crumbled away beneath his feet, and he started to fall, hissing as he started to pull the larger and more easy to reach shards of glass from his body. Gritting his teeth as the pain threatened to black him out.
The sudden change from being mobbed by actual nightmare fuel - to being assaulted by the roof had Phrygia wheeling. But he did manage to avoid the worst of the debris, getting a few small cuts along his cheek and hands from some of the smaller, faster pieces of debris. He winced at the pain - but it wasn't the worst thing ever.
That was, until the ground opened up again and they were falling once more. Phrygia cussed as he fell, hoping against hope that the next time they landed it would be somewhere that made a just a bit more sense, and he could find Wallop.

For as tired as Sharatan was - she was able to avoid the worst of the debris. As the Wraiths scattered, she'd heard the shattering glass and had dropped to her knees, covering her head with her arms and hoping that Itsuki and Zeta had had the mind to do the same.
There weren't earthquakes often in D.C. but she'd been to visit her father's family enough times in Japan, that she'd been forced to pick up a bit of earthquake safety. There was nothing to brace against here though, and so she just had to hope that whatever was above them would block the majority of the debris.
"Zeta get down!" She'd managed to shout. "Itsuki you t-"
Then she was falling again, the ground crumbling away, and this time - she screamed in blind terror as she fell.

Chrysocolla wouldn't have said she was particularly good at dodging, if asked, but she was clearly better than everyone else here - all around her people were stumbling, crying out, and the scent of blood was starting to tint the air; but she was undamaged, unhurt, and she kept running until the ground beneath her began to crumble and splinter.
Not again. It wasn't panic, but it was something halfway like it; she paused, trying to find a way around the gap - and when there wasn't one and when even beneath her heels there wasn't anything, she lashed out with one hand and gripped onto the ankle of a passing Order signature, falling too fast to actually get much of a glimpse of them, and pulling them down with her.

Anakeion was so focused on the wraiths she'd forgotten situational awareness entirely, and it came back to bite her less than a minute after as shards of glass pelted her - she dropped her staff and stared at her bleeding fingers like they'd personally offended her, and there was blood on her face, and it was too risky to move when she was - she knew she was hurt. Maybe not how badly, not really; but her fingers and face were cut, and she could feel an absence of fabric where one of her sleeves should have been covering. That, too, was bleeding.
She reached down to try and rip some fabric off her underskirt as a makeshift bandage, but the ground crumbled beneath her, and Anakeion fell.
-- Juliet She would have fallen anyways, give it enough time, but Benitoite's strikes at the wraiths caught her in the crossfire; Juliet's lips parted in half-a-question as the force pushed her off the path, and she was falling, her tiara dislodging from her hair before it, too, disappeared into the smoke.
Perhaps the realization that she had forgotten to give her name, ontop of trying to single handly take out the wraiths to protect the scared senshi and cat in her care had been the cause of Lacrimosa's failure to pay attention to anything else around them. She was struggling as it was, having become fairly drained in her attempts to protect everyone and herself.
She wasn't doing a good job of it and she was glad Itsuki wasn't here to see her fail.
In the slowness caused by the draining of the wraiths, as the debris came falling down she struggled to protect herself, hoping her sleeves would deflect some of the worse damage. She couldn't help a flinch at the sound of fabric tearing and she hoped her fuku would be alright in the end.
It was only as the path fell out beneath her, slowed down further by the debris and wounds left behind (on top of the draining from the wraiths) that she once again turned for her companions, reaching out to try and grab ahold of Isolda.

It was like the world was crumbling around them as pieces and shards of mirror cascaded down upon her. Hy-Brasil did her best to avoid a large portion of them but a few managed to cut some fabric of her uniform and hit hard enough to possibly bruise.
Those falling pieces quickly became to least of her worries as the ground crumbled beneath her.
She fell herself slowly plummeting into the ether below. Others were falling with her.
She both feared and braced for whatever impact may come.
There was no catching a break for Isolda. No sooner had the wraiths come through and zapped her of most of her energy, when the ceiling above them started to crumble. It was so much effort to tilt her head upwards and dodge the bigger pieces. While she avoided by flattened completely, she was still pelted by smaller pieces. She heard fabric ripping as well, how did that work anyway? Would her uniform be ruined forever? There was also blood running down her arm now, was Hania okay? She hoped he was okay.
She looked down at the cat in her arms, but instead of paying attention to him, she noticed the floor under her crumble away. They hadn't been fast enough. The other Senshi was reaching out for her hand. It was hard to shuffle Hania into her right hand and reach out toward her new friend with her left. It wasn't the best hold in the world, but at this maybe this would keep them from being too separated. For all Isolda knew this was the end, might as well go out with a cat in one arm and holding a friend's hand. Sounded like as good a plan as any.

Sailor Lacerta
She was still so very tired after the encounter with the wraiths. Though it seemed like only moments later the creatures vanished. It was then that she picked up the sound of splintering from above and got a sinking feeling that whatever was now coming wasn't going to be very pleasant at all. Minutes later her fears were verified as a rather large piece of debris smashed into the staircase just beyond where she had been standing. The result was more sections of the pathway breaking away.
It was then that she began to feel fear that maybe she wouldn't make it out of this situation. Lacerta registered the stinging sensation of being pelted with small objects before trying to race back to Mel's side. A piece of glass struck her outstretched arm as she tried to reach for the feline, cutting her in the process. The wound itself wasn't too deep but as blood welled up to the surface of her skin she could feel the sharp throbbing pain that began just as the path below her feet broke away sending her tumbling into the darkness below.
"Mel!"
Her sudden cry was cut off as rapidly as it had appeared.

You manage to escape without more than a bruise or scratch (unless you choose to take more damage), though the ground still crumbles beneath you. You are thrown off balance and topple towards the blackness below.

reaching towards Mel, cut as a result and now falling, falling, falling ... lol.
How had this happened? Myrrha had been easily navigating through all the obstacles in her way with ease and yet it was the friggin ceiling caving down that would be her downfall? The teen hadn't been able to escape the bombardment and had the bruises to show for it. The main concern was that the path had shattered below her feet causing her to fall off the path into whatever awaited below.
Myrrha's fingers clenched her shoulder tightly as she fell in an attempt to stop the flow of blood from a deep laceration. A rather nasty shard of mirror had sliced into her uniform and managed to bite deeply into her shoulder. As she had clutched the wound in alarm she had continued to be pelted with other debris. At least no other cuts were sustained but even bruises would hurt in the amount that she obtained in the few moments of chaos before she'd stumbled off the shattering path. It was not easy to keep the mind focused on a task when also trying to make sure that whatever landing she had would not incur more injuries.

Irkalla, Page of Cosmos:
Irkalla had still been heading in a downwards direction when cries of alarm started echoing around the page as she descended. What was going on now? Pausing momentarily was probably not a wise idea and yet she could not stop herself from doing just that.
At first it was hard to ascertain just want she was seeing but slowly it dawned on the Cosmos Page that the ceiling was falling down around her. Pieces of mirror began to rain down around her and she stumbled once as a vicious piece of mirror landed near her feet, slashing through a piece of her uniform as it passed her. Mildly cursing Irkalla decided to move quickly away as she witnessed the pathway crumble even more. A section of the stairway broke away in front of her and now she was stuck. Knowing what was to come was futile to try and outrun Irkalla braced herself and surrendered gracefully to the knowledge that soon she too would fall into the abyss below. Still jogging on the path she was on she heard the cracking from above. At the sight of the mirror shards coming down she picked up the pace again grateful she didn't have to fight any more specters she charged on ahead. Ananke was able to stay ahead... until a shock wave from part of the path being destroyed caused her to fall on the ground. A smaller shard nicking her face. She she felt a small dribble go down her chin and she looked over to see that the path she was on could soon be tumbling to the void.
"Ananke Portal!" She used her attack so the portal swallowed the oncoming piece couldn't destroy her path. The second portal she opened so the piece fell over into the void. Quickly getting up she managed to get away from the crumbling of the path and the shards of mirror.
