Dumuzi’s eye twitched at Theo’s response to the offer of getting him into the conversation. Serious, Theo? Dumuzi gave him a deadpanned look. ”That’s not the p- You know what, never mind, I’m sorry I bothered.” Dumuzi gave an exasperated sigh and mentally threw her hands into the air. Good golly trying to get any sort of conversation out of this guy was like pulling teeth. At least she had Isis and Leon to talk to for a little while, and she was happy that they shared something that could be conversed about. It was really nice to have conversations like this as it made the time go by faster and more pleasantly. Dumuzi turned forwards again, her face somewhat soured as she crossed her arms under her elongated sleeves of her Yukata, thankfully, Leon and Isis where there to distract her from the frustrations that were building inside of her. Dumuzi looked over at Leon as he gave her some knowledge from his experiences with grooming rock pokemon. ”So, polish and maybe a little bit of sandpapering? That sound easy enough… granted, that being said it’s probably going to be a lot harder than it sounds.” Dumuzi mused at her own famous last words. She was probably going to find that sanding down the rock pokemon- if it was needed- was probably going to be either really hard or make her look kind of foolish, perhaps she should stay with the polish for her Carbink if or when she finally caught one. ”Hehe~ Thanks for the tips Leon, I appreciated it. Though, I almost cringe to think about doing that with an Onix, that must have been a long, horrible day for you, did you at least have help?” That sounded like a story all on its own, though Dumuzi couldn’t decide if that would be a horror story to be told, or an inspirational one of perseverance.
Dumuzi’s ear twitched a bit and she happily brought her attention towards Isis once more. The gentle smile returned to her face as the topic was brought back to the pokemon contests. ”Yes, it’s kind of a hobby of mine, I haven’t done it in a while, but I do enjoy sewing and stuff like that. The only problem that I would have would be to find the place to set up shop for a while and make my own costumes. I imagine that it wouldn’t be very easy to do it in a tent out in the middle of nowhere –doable, but not easy.” Isis then informed her that she had a friend who had a friend who did costumes as well. ”Oh? That sounds like it could be a fun experience sometime. Princess Zelda and… dark Link? I can’t say I’ve heard of the later character but I know the former one.” At the offer of perhaps letting her meet up with her friend Zero and by extension his friend who did costumes, Dumuzi pondered for a moment. ”Sure, that might be a fun and good idea. Honestly, I’m a little stumped when it comes to some of the costumes, I have a rough idea, but maybe a pair of fresh eyes could help me out and give me some fresh ideas that I may not have thought of. I would appreciate that, but if this friend of a friend is busy, it’s okay, I don’t want to barge in on his business and precious time or anything.” Dumuzi was fairly quick to answer Isis’ question about who was going to be her stars for the Smart category. ”I think I’m going to put my Ralts- Titania – into the smart category, she’s a psychic and fairy type and the psychic types seemed to have strong bend towards the Smart category, and if I can manage to find one, I would like to get a Cottonee or Whimsicott in as a back-up. So, yeah. Those would be my choices.” Dumuzi pondered over the suggestion of a more ‘cybernetic’ feel for the smart. It was certainly a possibility, and it would be cool to do and a challenge to make, but she wasn’t sure if it would fit with the pokemon or not. She could explore it a bit more at a later time anyway. ”I’ll maybe draw some concept designs later on, thanks for the suggestion, Isis.”
Dumuzi fell into a thoughtful silence as their two older companions and new friends started to talk with Theo a bit. She brought her hand up to rub the elbow of Kai as if rewarding him for being so good. She couldn’t believe how she had lucked out when she came over to make sure that nothing was wrong and that everyone was okay on island three. She was glad that she didn’t listen to Theo when he thought that perhaps they should stay out of it. In only a few hours within a night, she had earned two new friends who had already helped her out so much with her contests knowledge and they were even willing to branch out and offer to get in contact with other friends of theirs who could help her out as well. It was a strange, and yet wonderful experience to be a part of this new community, she hadn’t even started yet and already she was being helped out. It made her feel really good and it was a far cry from feeling like the outcast she had been her whole life. She may have finally found a place in the world that she belonged to, and went from trying so hard to have a few friends, to making many in a short span of time with little to no effort on her part, all she needed to be was herself and allowed her interest to be shared. Most people teased her because she could sew and enjoyed doing it, but Isis thought it was really cool and was even willing to hook her up with someone she knew of who could help her and maybe even give her some pointers to polish her skill.
Dumuzi’s face softened when Isis mentioned that she preferred photography. ”I can definitely see where you’re coming from, I use my drawings as kind of an escape though, so all the time and effort is a therapeutic and rewarding thing for me, as I’m sure that your photography is to you. Maybe sometime I’ll let you see inside of my sketchbook. Maybe.” Dumuzi teased a little bit at that one, honestly he wasn’t sure if he would let that book be opened by anyone ever! It would be like showing someone your dirty laundry in a way, it would be just be embarrassing! Not that her art skills were anything to be embarrassed about, but it would be showing someone briefly into her psyche and that was always awkward. Speaking of being awkward, Dumuzi brought up her hand to cover the mouth in attempts to hide the teasing smile that was growing. ”Oh my! Well, I’m glad that the Sleuth cracked the code to the Groomers heart to find her Prince then. Becoming someone’s princess sure seems to be a happily ever after to me~ You’ll have to fill me in on all the steamy, scandalous details later, Isis!” Dumuzi wasn’t dumb, she knew that what she had said previous was totally made up –spare perhaps the inquiry into the grooming bit where Dumuzi guessed that she met Leon- but it just too cute to see Isis’ face go so red with embarrassment and then hide in the Jinbei of her date. Dumuzi burst into giggles and covered her mouth fully now. That was too adorable! She hoped that Isis would forgive her for that, but at least she was in a teasing mood with her now, and Isis should take it as a true sign of friendship from Dumuzi. It was… her own little way of accepting others, when she felt close enough to tease people it usually meant that she had gotten very comfortable with them.

A burst of fire and some screaming marked Roxy's exit from the arcade. Chica ran out after her. "P-piiii?!?"
Thunk, thump!
"Pichu!!" A great wooden wheel, charred black, rolled straight for Chica. She leaped out of the way, and it crashed into the arcade behind her. The only part of the wheel still visible was the one, after Roxy had burned it to a crisp.
Chica decided she had had enough. She spotted some rings on the ground nearby, and zapped them. They went flying towards Roxy, conking her once, twice, three times on the head. The Charmander went down, even as one of the rings bounced off her noggin and onto a moomoo milk.
Alex wandered through the smokehouse that was the arcade, coughing deeply as he tried to find his pokemon in the mess. A nearby machine had spit out a few tickets after getting smashed by a giant wooden wheel. Alex took them, because everyone else was too busy complaining about silly things to care.
Though he was still looking for the wayward Charmander and Pichu, Alex couldn't help wanting to play that nifty darts game. He picked up a bunch of darts and walked up to the board, popping them one at a time. When he was done he walked up and tugged on the attendant's shirt. "Huh?" The guy had been busy looking in the direction of the smoking arcade tent. "Tickets." Alex held out a hand expectantly. "Sure. How many?" Alex paused a moment. how many tickets was a lot of tickets? "Th-three?" The man grunted and looked at the dart board. "Nah son. Here you go. Good job, haven't seen many people get all of them." Alex took the six tickets excitedly (double the fortune he'd asked for!). "It wasn't very hard, though."
Alex finally spotted Chica standing triumphant over the comatose form of Roxy. "Oh! You found her!" Alex ran up excitedly and picked up the Charmander. Her tail slumped in the air, whacking against Patches' body. "Sauuuurrrr." He slumped even further, and fell from Alex's arms like a slug, straight into the fishing tank. Unfortunately, since Patches was in the water now, that meant Alex could only get him back with one of the tiny nets. Just as he was despairing of having to say goodbye to Patches forever, a very confused boy simply reached in and heaved the Bulbasaur out.
It seemed his input on grooming rock pokemon was appreciated. It was, of course, not a common type of pokemon to be groomed. He was glad he wasn't asked about grooming things like garbador and muk. He never worked with either of those, nor would he have any idea how to groom them for a contest. "It can take a lot of elbow grease though, to get them polished nicely. It takes a lot of patience, especially with the larger rock types." Leon commented. He smiled a bit sheepishly as he was asked if he had had help with the Onix. "Ah... well, I didn't actually have help that time. It took a long time. At least it paid decently enough." he answered her. Then he realized he hadn't given the girl his number, which might come in handy if she ever had more grooming questions or whatever. "Here. I'll give you my number so if you have any questions about grooming or something, you can get a hold of me." he told her, then exchanged numbers with her.
The two girls conversed more, Isis offering to hook Dumuzi up with a friend of hers that made costumes. One of which was that Princess Zelda costume in which she first met him. Leon with held a snort at Theo's response to Isis and him. And before he could even say anything, the boy just left them, though he said he'd be back. Studying wasn't exactly equal to being prepared to gym battles, especially if he came from a region that didn't have gyms or battling. But, if the boy didn't want advice, so be it. He shrugged it off for now, returning his focus to Isis and Dumuzi.
After feeding into Dumuzi's wild, romance driven fantasy, the most adorable thing happened. Isis seemed to be incapable of jumping in and saying that's not how it went at all. And instead of just pouting in denial, she actually hid her face in Leon's jinbei. Her very, very red face. The movement had caused her to press a bit against some of his hidden, tender bruises, but he barely flinched, far too occupied with Isis's cuteness to even acknowledge the bit of pain. Not to mention that it wouldn't have really bothered him even in a different situation. He was quite shocked that he didn't get called a dork or anything like that. For a moment, he felt almost concerned. A gentle smile formed on his face though, and he couldn't help but enjoy the feel of her hot face against his chest. "Oh Dumuzi. You don't get to know those things until you are at least twenty-one." he smirked, hugging Isis in the arm he had pulled her close with. Of course, there wasn't really any steamy details. But really, who was he to deny the teenage girl her romantic fantasies?
It wasn't long before they finally made it to Cape Brink. There was music playing, and there was plenty of dancing going on on the makeshift dance floor. Well, if you could call it a floor. It was more like the flattest area here where people just seemed to designate the dancing to. It was outlined with strung up paper lanterns, though they weren't quite lit yet, since it was still a bit light out. "Here we are. Cape Brink." Leon announced to the group, though it was quite apparent by it's appearance.
