A voice spoke behind Kakyo, the Yamazakura having approached from behind as Kei distracted the attention away from her. She knew he would have hoped for a peaceful encounter, but... in a world like this one that was almost impossible. "If you won't join us peacefully, then let's solve this with a fight. Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."He had been hoping to talk to the pale man and convince him to join the cause that they had pledged themselves to; though he didn't sense any vindictiveness in him, it was clear that any chance of simply talking their way out of a fight non-violently wasn't going to be possible. He glanced to his side at the moment when the Vulture had declared himself unwilling to turn and knew that the silent approach of his companion was successful...the frontal diversion keeping the sniper and the Boss focused on himself long enough for her to approach and give them an advantage if they were the first to be attacked. Didn't seem as though that was this man's plan, however. But if he insisted on staying in the city and opposing Saiduq's Kingmaker Scenario...they had no choice. This was as good a chance as they would find to win more followers for their cause.
"I apologize for this. I did not wish for a fight," Kei glanced up at the sniper in the canopy and simply shook his head at him, Mo-Po setting the gun aside for the moment in response, "Kaori, please be careful. And try not to harm him too badly..." He had been surprised that Mo-Po missed the girl sneaking up from the side of the warehouse...but knowing Mo-Po he'd just seen her, though she was cute, and decided to take the gun off of her and see what happened. Kaori Sakurazaka, the Wild Cherry Blossom of the Human Weapons Unit Kaori took her stance, as the man rolled his neck and took his. She knew better than to overestimate an enemy, and this man had the posture and body of someone who knew what he was doing. Eyes narrowed... and for a moment she stood still, both her demons and his fighting on the sides. She analyzed his stance...and she noticed it changing just slightly. His muscles seemed more relaxed...his shoulders weren't tense... his eyes glowed.
A possession... This would make things more difficult. The man darted forward, his powerful fist meant to break her jaw right there and then. Her arm deviated the attack, Kaori countering with a low jab. He stepped back, avoiding her attack just barely, making the girl to growl. He was faster than she had anticipated... more so because of the demon who was taking control of his body in that instant. A kick was blocked by his arm... and he surprised her with a punch to her abdomen that took the air out of her lungs. Still, the girl kept on her feet, a cough escaping her before she was over him again. She couldn't lose! She wouldn't lose!
Two...three hits... a few more returned to her. He caught her fist and hauled her against the warehouse's wall... the girl turning and pushing her feet against the concrete wall for impulse, going back to him for a flying kick. He fell back but was up again...
She was breathing heavily... but trying to level her breathing and heart beat...the girl exhaled deeply. She gazed at Kei for a fraction of a second, before returning back to her foe. She waited for him to make the first move... and as he neared and tackled her to the ground... her hips shifted under her and her legs crossed over his front, arm locked in a submission hold.
How long would it last...? She wasn't sure it would be much longer.

He had been expecting a Hell of a fight, but he damned sure wasn't expecting someone who was so...superhuman? It was like she had been trained for this, her mechanically-brutal moves and the preternatural control that no normal person could have. He had given damned near as much as he had gotten, but he wasn't nearly as refined as her and her stamina was impossible to keep up with! It was going to end soon...and so he made his move, but it was a mistake, ending up on the bottom of the girl's submission and feeling himself pushed to the brink, he knew that it was going to come right up to the breaking point before he knew whether or not he could escape it.
And he did...turning his thumb down into the center of her torso he let his arm go limp and slid out of the hold! But no sooner had he gotten out and rolled to his feet and she met him with a knee that only his crossed arms blocked! He was pushed back and a jumping punch hit his guard again and he took a few steps back again. She would have come again but it was at that moment that he raised a hand in front of him and called out to her in a voice that stopped her in his track.
"Enough, enough already! Damn...there's no way I could beat you straight up like this. What are you, some kind of a machine?" he spit to the side and cracked his jaw, setting it a little more comfortably upon his face once more...and it was in that moment that he began to make the connection between the points on her face that were familiar to him, "Violet hair...red eyes...fights like some kind of a devil...all right, no choice. The Vultures will join your revolution, for what it's worth. On one condition...your name. Because my time is short, I'll kill you..."It wasn't easy for the swordsman to sit on his hands and let his companion fight on her own, but not for any kind of lack of faith that he had in her ability to win the fight. It was his instincts, that driving need to fight and to draw his blade...and the man was obviously a skilled opponent, one that would be worth challenging with his sword. Could this man prove his equal the way that Kaori had once, so long ago? ...No, he wasn't on her level no matter how hard he fought. If he had weapons, maybe, or some trick up his sleeve...but she wasn't using her Scardead, either. There was nothing that street brawling had on their years and years of training...and it was beginning to show when the man at last rolled to his feet and called the fight to a close.
"Nice fight," he spoke at last after things came to a close, moving to his companion's side to take a look at the scuffs and bruises from the rumble just now, but his hand found her shoulder just as soon as the man named his condition, "You don't need to tell him...if he refuses, he's out." Kaori Sakurazaka, the Wild Cherry Blossom of the Human Weapons Unit He was strong, she would at least admit that. The girl didn't finish the fight completely unscratched, the bruises and opened wounds starting to roughly show through her pale skin. Red and purple splotches covered her arms where they had blocked the coming impacts... her shoulder was bleeding, having landed on it when he had thrown her... Many other nicks and little bleeding scratches were seen, but despite that, the girl didn't look done at all. If anything, there was still quite a bit of fuel in there. She breathed heavily, ready to strike once again when the man's hands rose in the air, calling for an ending to the fight. Kaori stopped on her tracks, and it was only then that she permitted herself to relax...feeling the knots in her muscles untying when Kei rested his hand on her shoulder. She turned to look at him and nodded... a small thanks for his support...for being there with her.
They had won. They had recruited one more for the cause.
" A machine? Not anymore..." A wry smile was sent his way, but there was something in her eye that burned darkly. The man asked for her name then, and with a hand gesturing it was alright, Kaori stepped forward, a curious gaze on her crimson eyes. "Why would my name matter to you?" In this world... would they still be wanted men? Would giving out their names be as dangerous as it had been before? Not in their world. In their world they would be completely free. "I'm...-"
The noise of the fight had attracted a big group of demons...all different kinds surrounding them. Kaori cursed they had let their guard down...just as a voice echoed inside of her mind... and power surged through her. A tiny smirk crossed her lips...
She DESTROYED them.
Afterwards...the girl rolled her shoulders, returning back to the matters they had been dealing with before having been rudely interrupted. "My name... is Kaori Sakurazaka."

"I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"He knew the look in the eyes of the girl and her companion when he had asked her what her name was...that was the look of someone on the run, someone with something to hide. Whether or not they wanted to tell him who they were he really had already made up his mind about what he was going to do. He would join them. Still, that they didn't want to talk about it at first gave him a small moment of pause, but only a small one...he knew what it was like to not want anyone to know who you were, to find you. His Vultures were still alive because the Lin Kuei didn't yet know who he was or who they were. And when they did find out...that would be their endgame. Either victory or defeat. That was another lifetime, though...this world had changed. Immortals meant nothing in the face of absolute deletion. And these two seemed to at least have the power to potentially remake the world...somehow. He supposed that if he couldn't, maybe they could?
...But before he could tell them it was fine, that he didn't need to know their names, a demon attacked...and the girl showed that she still had so much power left in her reserves! She obliterated that thing easily! And as the demons closed in, Kei warded off a few and himself...he smashed a rather obnoxious looking devil with big lips and a top hat. Destroying it had been easier than expected. But when he heard that girl's name...that was something that he couldn't swallow quite so swiftly. No, now that he thought of it...it all made sense. Yeah, this was some kind of backwards fate, wasn't it?

What had been so interesting about her name in the first place? He had intended to ask one or the other about that...but no sooner had the question been raised between them than once again that Septentrione loomed around the corner. Their bane, Benetnasch...taking Kaori's shoulder he nodded down the road. They needed to run, meet up and talk later.
And as he did he saw that Kakyo had already begun to retreat into the warehouse to avoid the attack in his own way. Could they trust him to keep to his word? He refused to believe the excuses they gave, that Sapporo had been evacuated and that no one was lost in the battle. The people of Sapporo were just as strong willed as anywhere else, they wouldn't die just like that. But then Yamato Hotsuin had chosen to wipe the city of the face of the map, and without even consulting someone from Sapporo, he'd performed an 'evacuation' and declared the city empty of anyone of use. Kyuzo was trying to draw upon new and more powerful demons for the coming fight, finding the sealing stones across the city. Had he been in a calmer mind, or if someone else had been there to offer a cooler opinion, Kyuzo might have been forced to reconcile the fact that his demons were already at the very top of the totem pole, as far as strength was concerned. But it wasn't just about the strength of his companions...he wanted to make himself stronger as well. He needed the power to cut down Hotsuin, and the other unjust pretenders to Heaven's Throne. Kyuzo was searching for App Users who'd chosen to side with the so called 'Usurper of Polaris', but he hadn't found any of their truly talented fighters so far. It seemed like this city had a far smaller demon population than the others, but then he remembered the first day was significantly easier in Oshu than others, as well. He'd been a large part of that, and now he was here as an invader just the same as these creatures. "I...won't become like you!" No, that was wrong! He was here for the sake of these people, who were being guided through persuasion and misdirection towards this creature's path. Whatever the Anguished One was, his silver tongue was forcing others to walk his path even to their own ruin, and he would break that false allure with his swords, no matter the cost.
