Well, she should have expected this since Dugtrio was the strongest of the three Ground-types she was going to use at the next Gym Battle. The other two were still lagging behind but Graveler was coming at a close second. It would still take some time for the newly evolved Pokemon to reach thirty but it would be enough time to raise the other Pokemon she wanted to focus on. Firstly, it would be the Poison-type Pokemon since they would be effective against the Grass Gym Leader.

With a few more buttons pressed Dugtrio was sent out of the party and replaced with the female Nidoran that she had been raising before. The Zubat and the female Nidoran would be her main helpers in that grassy terrain. Misa was aware that there were Pokemon that would use Poison-type attacks so she had to be ready for them. Plus, it was nice to have another team member on the team. It was good to have a fresh face once in awhile so that things were kept lively.

It wasn’t an especially strong Paras so there shouldn’t have been any problems with maybe one hitting it or giving it an extra blow. Butterfree fell to the ground with a thump, its eyes a clear indication that it could no longer battle. Well, besides the eyes the fact that it couldn’t lift its own body up was another indicator that Sandshrew was victorious. Yet Misa’s gaze was on Sandshrew as its body glowed and shimmered with a bright light. She had just experienced that light with Geodude from before and now it was happening with Sandshrew. It could only be evolution and a wonderful evolution for Sandshrew.

The light faded and so did the Sandshrew. In its place was a yellow Pokemon with brown spikes protruding from its body. Its small hands were now shaped into sharp-looking claws that looked ready to battle its opponent. Those oval eyes transformed into an almond shape and the creature still looked quite adorable to Misa. She wanted to hug the creature right then and there but they were in a Pokemon Battle. Hugging and cuddling would have to wait until the two were victorious.

Well, the Trainer seemed to be rolling her own dices to see if Sandslash would unleash a weak attack. Though maybe the opposing Trainer didn’t know that Sandslash had learned a new attack that would one-hit the Butterfree. ”Alright Sandslash, use Crush Claw!” A form of, what appeared to be, electricity surrounded Sandslash’s claws. They began to glow blue as the evolved creature closed in on the Caterpie. With one fell swoop of its attack the battle ended.

Much like the last Butterfree, this Caterpie was no different in how it was defeated. The Caterpie was on the ground as it no longer had the strength to pick itself up from the ground. Even the Trainer didn’t look very happy as she gazed down at the defeated Pokemon. Seeing that the last three Pokemon were all Bug-types Misa guessed that she was more of a Bug-type specialist. It reminded her of the last battle she had with that boy, was she waiting for him?

Though it did decide to play defense it was not able to stop the momentum of the attack. The Beedrill was sent flying into the insides of the cave where the Trainer began to call out for it. There was no response to the girl’s call and as such, she entered the cave.
