The Wild Ponyta was munching on some grass when the two strangers popped out. It didn’t find them the least bit interesting as it bended over to munch on some more grass. Though, it could have guessed that the human was interested in a battle. It was the only other explanation as to what had brought those two here. Honestly, for a Pokemon that was really difficult to find it was actually really easy to catch. When the two of them fought...well more of Dewgong just sending that Ponyta from being perky one bit to on the floor fainted. It was clearly a one-sided battle even when there was another type disadvantage. Dewgong had an advantage and disadvantage. It didn’t have any Water based moves while its Water typing did allow it to withstand any fire type attacks that Ponyta could throw at it. Although it didn’t seem like Misa had to worry about any Fire-type attacks from this Pokemon. When the creature was registered in the Pokedex it was revealed that it didn’t have any Fire-type attacks. ’Well, at least I was able to fulfill the Pokedex a bit.’ It was a relief to be able to catch all of the Pokemon in the area. It was like checking off a checklist of things to do.

So, in the meantime it was probably best to head towards the Pokemon Center. The child had sort of forgotten to heal her Pokemon. Well, she didn’t have anything to actually heal thier PP so perhaps it wasn’t all of her fault? Misa was already on top of the hill, overlooking the city but she already had a good idea as to where the Pokemon Center was. This wasn’t her first time coming to this place. The girl didn’t come often enough to be considered as well known as the locals but she could navigate the streets now.

Descending the hill Misa took in the view. There was no longer any Pokemon in this area that could help fill out her Pokedex. After all, one of the few reasons why a child was off on this journey was to help the Professor by filling out the dex. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing since it helped her Pokemon, helped Misa get to know more about the Pokemon and...just get her land. After all, it was the reason why she was out where she was now. If going on a journey and filling out something for someone was all that was needed to fulfill her dream, why not?

Now that a thought came out of all of this thinking, Misa had come some way since the adventures started. Besides battling the Gym Leader the girl had made some progress with her Pokedex. There were still plenty of Pokemon she had yet to catch but that was why she was going off to catch Pokemon in areas she had already visited. Now, all she could with the Pokemon that were caught were to evolve them. In Dewgong’s case she may have to breed it if she were to ever meet a Ditto. But besides a few exceptions the Pokemon she had would require much work.

She tried recalling all of the Pokemon she was able to catch or attain through some odd means. Like with Dewgong and Sylveon, they were obtained after the Trainer abandoned them. She didn’t understand why that was the case. Dewgong and Sylveon were beautiful in their own right. Surely, when the time came for Misa to use Sylveon it would prove to be just as strong. Dewgong was a key member in her group, much like how Goodra once was. Misa wanted to win any of the Gym Battles with the Pokemon from that region. It personally felt unfair if she were to use a Pokemon from a different region. The only exception were if Pokemon found in other regions were also found in that region too.

This was reason why Misa was making sure that her team consisted of only Kanto Pokemon. Well, that is to say that they may have originated from Kanto because the girl hadn’t been to the other regions. It would take a while till her Pokemon could beat all the other Gym Leaders...even though that wasn’t her true goal. But the true could be obtained through defeating all of the other Gym Leaders. It was just a matter of how long till she could go off to battle, observe, and collect more friends as well as occupants for her future Daycare Center.

For now, she would have to focus on raising the Pokemon in her team. Everyone member, except for one, could evolve but that didn’t mean that the one who could no longer evolve have no uses. She was planning on using this Pokemon in the next Gym much like she had used it in the previous one. Misa would be relying on her teammates and those that she may catch in the future. ’I’ve got to think one step ahead though, after the next Gym I’ve got to find out about the next Gym Leader.’ It was interesting for Misa to take such an interest in battling. But she believed that battling could show a whole new side of Pokemon.

Misa was already learning a lot of things about her teammates. She was learning so much more than compared to her time in Pallet Town. The first Pokemon she was having the pleasure of being on this journey, was showing her a new side of Pokemon. It may have been a Pokemon that didn’t show signs of affection Misa was grateful for the companionship. Nothing was perfect, Ivysaur clearly not being her ideal of an affectionate partner, but it definitely showed that there were a lot of imperfections in the world.

Ivysaur was an interesting partner to say the least. When Misa was thinking about partner Pokemon in Pallet Town she did have some ideas along with concerns. She thought that her partner might bully her or not listen to her. Then she believed that all Pokemon were very kind to their partners and got along well. She wasn't sure if she could say that about the two now. Ivysaur did its own thing and so did Misa. When there was something Misa needed done then she could count on Ivysaur. If she was trying to converse with the dual type then she wasn’t going to get much of a reaction.

Ivysaur was like a wake-up call. A Pokemon with such an attitude didn’t even register in the child’s mind. All of the Pokemon she met had been so kind and sweet that she never thought there would be someone like Ivysaur. Her current self was grateful for the change in attitude. There were times that Ivysaur’s attitude did cause some concern for herself. Misa didn’t know if she would be a capable Breeder since it looked like all Breeders were capable of handling any type of Pokemon. She wanted to become the sort of person who could take on any challenge that the world was going to throw at her.

As Misa descended the hill, she had been maneuvering the streets to get to her destination. The mind was still occupied about Ivysaur and how much it had actually been a help to Misa. With the way things were going though there was still much to learn. When it came to Kanto Pokemon her knowledge was spot on. She thought about what the future had in store for Ivysaur. ’I guess with all this training, Ivysaur will evolve will into a Venusaur eventually. It is going to be hard for it to move around and to be stealthy. I wonder if that is what Ivysaur wants or if it doesn’t care about its appearance.’ From her memories with Ivysaur it didn’t look like the dual type placed any attention upon itself.

And then the thoughts about the next Pokemon came up, Pidgeotto. It wasn’t all that long ago that the Lv. 2 Pidgey had grown up and spread itself into Pidgeotto. Ivysaur’s and Pidgeotto’s evolution definitely showcased her ability as a Trainer but did it as a Breeder? The girl continued to feed the Pokemon food she made herself. By continuing to practice the recipes, along with making new ones, felt like they were the only skill she was confident in when it came to being a top notch Breeder. Other skills were still unknown to she. Maybe grooming...but the girl didn’t know much about it.
