Quoth The Raven: "Nevermore"
Tyrese laid out a pallet of colors for Sela to chose from, smiling as she chose a glittery red to match her clothes. He wondered what a toddler knew about color coordination, shaking up the small glass container as she held her hand out. "Not yet, Miss Lady. Eat first." He advised, putting away the remaining colors. Sela slumped back into her seat, dragging the dessert close and trying to take a hefty bite out of at least half. Sugar first thing in the morning was his first mistake, and he doubted she'd be full from one cupcake. Ty leaned across the table to wipe around her mouth when Lillian slipped into the booth with them. Sela, of course, responded with an excited squeal of "Mommy!" While jumping up to climb in her lap. Ty, leaning away, looked between Lillian and the gift she nestled in front of him. "So, first off- hi." He corrected, one arm laid along the booth top as Sela happily opened her gift. "Welcome back. How did everything go." He continued, drawing out his sentences and eyeing the flat, square package laid out last.

Demon ║ 22 ║ $905 ║ Music Artist ║ After Christmas Lillian was instantly relieved by the greeting she was met with by her daughter. Relaxing her shoulders a bit, she loosely wrapped her arms around the child as she kept her close. She was glad that she wasn't met with outright hostility, though granted, that was probably because she opened with handing out presents. But, if it meant a moment of not being berated for being a terrible person, she'd take it! Looking up from the excited toddler in her lap, Lillian smiled happily at Ty, "Hi," she greeted back, forgetting she hadn't even said it. It was just so natural for her to start conversations without politically correct greetings that she hadn't even thought about it. There were too many comforts around him. It wasn't a bad thing, but other people might mistake it as such given that they were currently physically, emotionally and mentally distant from each other. Of course anyone would be as candid as she was when the man sitting across from her was the first person she ever trusted enough to say the famed three words too; the same could once be said of him.
At his question, Lillian bit her tongue for a split second as she wondered if she should even mention to him about the state of mind Finn was in. They were...friends. Well, she wasn't as sure about that now, but they were once and he might still care a little. At the same time though, that was more a conversation for Finn's wife; not that the woman wanted to see her. "It wen-" "Woooooooooooooow" Sela cooed loudly as she opened the box and the scene began to play out with the tune. Bouncing with what little energy of joy she could muster, Sela turned halfway to her mother with a twinkle in her eye. "Mommy! Mommy!" she exclaimed as she pointed to the scene still playing. "Its...amzing!" she added, emphasizing the 'g' as she tried to pronounce the word right. Looking down at the small child, Lillian smiled thoughtfully, glad that she liked the gift so much. It didn't take much to impress her though; not that it was a bad thing! Giving Sela another kiss atop her head, the young woman's attention turned back to her ex. "It went well actually, and I'm sorry I couldn't write back to you but I was swamped the entire time, Barely got any sleep," she explained with a slight hint of a sympathetic look upon her face. Her expression turned a little more serious as she dropped her gaze to the letter she had in her purse before jumping back up to look at him. She couldn't remember all of what he wrote, only bits and pieces jumped out at her, but one was well defined in her head. "I'll go to the island with you."

Quoth The Raven: "Nevermore"
Tyrese peeled away the paper wrapping around his muffin, glancing up to Lillian and the child every few seconds as Sela got her gift open. He watched with questioning intrigue as he took the first bite, inspecting his own gift with renewed interest. How did one go about doing that? Sela was absolutely enchanted and he couldn't blame her. Taking another bite, he nodded at her remark and opened the flat package. Should it matter whether she wrote back? When he found out she was gone again it only made sense she couldn't. Gone where? He hadn't asked. And she plainly had the option not to reply, like he said, he didn't know if she cared about closure. Hell, at this rate he was doubting she even needed it. She looked fine- good. He placed down the cd, not that he'd been looking at it closely, and placed his food back on the table. Sighing heavily though his nose, the wolf ran his fingers through his hair and turned towards the window to contemplate on her sudden statement. So she wanted to go, for whatever reason. So did he, still. "I can't do it yet, I have other stuff to take care of." He mentioned vaguely, listening to Sela open and close her music box.

Demon ║ 22 ║ $905 ║ Music Artist ║ After Christmas At his answer, Lillian quickly shook her hands in front of herself, "No, no, no, no, don't even worry about it! Do your thing," she replied quickly and giving a soft chuckle. She didn't want to try and ruin whatever plans he had going on; it wouldn't be right after all that she's done to him. Her shoulders slumped a little at the thought about all the pain she has put him through over their time together and apart. A light sigh left her lips as she dropped her gaze to her enamored child, a moment of sadness glimmering in her eyes. Slowly she closed her eyes to calm herself down before engaging him again. "I'm just saying that I'm ready to go when you are," she added with a compromising tilt of her head. Giving him a small smile, she momentarily dropped her gaze to the CD she had given him. Knowing that Sela was still preoccupied with her Christmas gift, seemingly unable to figure out how it works by closing it slowly to try and find out where the picture goes, Lillian kissed the top of her head once more before looking back up at Ty. “I know this is going to seem petty and selfish, but I was gone to work on that,” she said pointing towards the CD that lay on the table. “I hate myself for missing Christmas with you guys, but it was hard to get away when I was auditioning people and recording that.” Again, she knew the reason was dumb but she was not only pretty far away from the island, there wasn’t much access to a phone either.
After a few moments, Lillian let out a small sigh and slowly moved Sela over - along with her music box. Leaning into the table a bit she pushed out her chair and got up, “I’m gonna go get some coffee.” Drumming her fingers along the table’s edge, she turned and walked her way towards the line of social elites and hipsters getting their coffee. She was still a little tired and needed a slight pick me up. “Oh…” she breathed as she remembered that her wallet was still in her purse. Spinning around, heels clacking against the floor, she shuffled back over to their table and crouched down to grab her wallet from her purse. “Forgot this,” she said as she shook the wallet before returning to the line.

Quoth The Raven: "Nevermore"
Tyrese was called to attention by the hurried way Lillian complied with him, turning towards her and away from his constant trance out of the window. He paused at her sudden guilt ridden demeanor before brushing his fingertips over her wrist. He couldn't bring himself to excessive touching, "I think we're both done being angsty teenagers. All I really want is to put all of this behind us." He tried to explain, although it was no where near what he'd been trying to say. Despite that this was indeed his point, he'd been aiming for it to come out differently. As he tried to phrase it in his head, there were suddenly a lot more truths to be revealed then there was time for- and not in front of their kid. He resigned, pulling his hand away and reaching to undress a sugar packet for his tea instead. He poured and stirred with milk, sipping from it as she explained about the cd. He wanted to get in another word before she left for coffee, "I don't mind you pursuing your dreams, Lillian. Just make sure you're spending enough time with Sela." He shrugged. He wasn't accusing her otherwise, he was just putting it out there. She'd been gone for nearly a month last time, and was gone again not even a month later. They could balance this parenting thing just fine, he could keep Sela whenever, as long as Lil was otherwise doing right by her. She could follow a dream just like he was, but she couldn't forget this half in her adventures. That was all that worried him about her trips. She wasn't really going back to live those lost years right? He wasn't entirely convinced not, but he wasn't going to interfere either. Turning to his gift, he began to open it, seeing it was his own matching music box before offering to paint Sela's nails. She gave a congested sniffle, giving him a half interested glance. "I gotta do tis, daddy." She refused and the wolf chuckled, holding his hands up in surrender.

Tsukasa Inamori|| The Fox || 22 || Single || Journal || For some reason, Tsukasa had a feeling that the young lady was not exactly in a good mood. Her eyes were still hidden behind her round sunglasses so he was not entirely sure of his gut feel. That said, there has never been a time when he back down from such challenge. Besides, he did receive a smile from her thus pushing the thought away for now. "You're most welcome, princess." He followed her in and closed the glass door behind him as the female entered the cafe. The relaxing scent of freshly brewed coffee tickled his nose as soon as they stepped in. If he remembered correctly there are six employees, seven if he would include him. With how their scheduled the he would need to buy around three or four coffees for the crew and him.
Tsukasa would stood right beside the blonde as he looked at the menu. "I wonder what would be best to order." He said pretending to think out loud. It would be much easier to ask one of the staff but what fun would that be? Turning his head to face the young maiden, "Sorry to bother you princess but may I ask what type of coffee you'd recommend? I only arrived here a few days ago so I am still unaware of a lot of things. With beauty and elegance such as yours I assume that you would come here often, am I right?" That was not a complete lie. A part of it was true at least. He is still new here but that doesn't mean that he was not knowledgeable of the place. On the contrary, he had the menu fully memorized before he got to the island. The problem here now is that he haven't interacted with the staff so he had no idea what would tastes they would prefer to drink.

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Upon entrance, Zara had taken off her sunglasses and hooked them on her shirt, the handle of the glasses resting between her breasts. She blinked her sapphire eyes a few times, adjusting to the light, and finally stared at the Cafe Menu as if she could spot something new to try, but deep down Zara knew she her choice would be the regular. As she stood there, eyes fixated on the menu that hung above the Cashier's and Barista's heads, the man who had opened the door for her stood behind her and continued to speak. Whether it was her he was speaking to, she was uncertain. From the corner of her eyes, Zara stole a glimpse of him, before blowing at her bangs and answering casually, "I prefer a non-virgin White Russian; it usually comes with a respectable amount of Vodka mixed into it - though I'd assume that's not the usual person's choice of coffee in the morning. Depends on the person I suppose. Simple flavored Cappuccinos are a safe bet... mocha, vanilla, caramel..." It took no time, however, for things to get interesting. Zara's lips curled into an amused smile. "With beauty and elegance"? Was he flirting with her? Her annoyance and irritability was gradually being replaced with amusement. She looked over her shoulder at the man with a deviousness in her eyes, "You're not trying to swoon me, are you?" ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Moonbucks Cafe ᴡɪᴛʜ A Handsome Stranger ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ 100% sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single ᴍᴏᴏᴅ Amused ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ [x]

Tsukasa Inamori|| The Fox || 22 || Single || Journal || An eyebrow raised ever so slightly upon hearing her first recommendation. Vodka this early in the morning. Indeed that was quite a peculiar taste for a young lady such as herself. Her preference in terms of her beverage would reflect that she's the type of person who's tend to go out to parties and have some fun. It was quite unusual for the female does not seem to possess such trait. Her innocent appearance was in contrast with her mentality he supposed. Perhaps this person also wears a certain mask same as him which intrigued him all the more. "I suppose going for the regular ones would be best." His eyes fixated back to the menu and nodded gently as he tried to look more interested about the coffee than her. There was no need for him to have a look at her face. With the tone she used it was more than obvious that he was successful in capturing her attention. Unfaltering smile coupled with innocent eyes tore themselves from the menu and was brought back to the person standing beside him. For a few seconds, he looked at her quizzically as if he was trying to decipher the meaning of her words. "Uhm...Does it look like I am?" Turning his body to face her completely, he started to rub his chin, his golden brown orbs never leaving her sapphire ones. He would give it a few more seconds for her to answer before continuing on with his speech. "I'll just leave it up to your imagination." He said with a playful wink. Luckily it was his turn to order thus taking his attention away from his target for a moment to speak with the cashier. "Good morning. I'd like to order four cappuccinos and a large non-virgin White Russian for the lovely princess over there." He mentioned pertaining to the blonde behind him. When the cashier asked him of his name and if it was for here, "To go please. And its Tsukasa as for the White Russian..." He would turn his head to face her waiting for her to say hers. These coffee shop's ways of personalizing their products can be quite handy to those who wants to acquire another person's name.

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ It was Zara's turn to raise her brow. This man was... interesting. More than she can say for the others she had met within this city. She licked her lips that curved in a cheeky smile, "Leave it up to my imagination?" She paused, twisting a ring on her finger, "My imagination tends to get wild and sinful." she finished, her words contrary to her soft, innocent voice and casual tone. As the two stepped up to order, the man took over and ordered himself. Zara stepped aside, for a second feeling slightly betrayed that he reeled her in only to delay her chances of getting a cup of coffee, but it turned out that the man had ordered her coffee... for her. Her betrayal was quickly replaced with gratitude, and now Zara was feeling flattered. "Zara." she said to the cashier, and turned to faced the man named Tsukasa. Tsukasa Inamori|| The Fox || 22 || Single || Journal || Tsukasa continued to ignore her presence for a brief moment, pretending to be more focused on his order. His ears though never cease to listen to her soft gentle voice that continue to draw him closer as he continue to speak. The more she talks the more he got hints of her alter ego. Maybe this young lady would be able to amuse him further while he's staying here in the island. Zara. Tsukasa could not help but chuckle softly upon hearing her name. After paying for their coffee, he turned to face the princess behind him. "Zara? Well, I've couldn't have picked a better nickname for you." He would then reach for her hand to place a gentle kiss on her feeble knuckles. Raising his head, the fox looked up to her through his long lashes with a smirk. "Pleasure to meet your acquaintance, my princess." He stared deeply into her eyes for a few seconds before letting go of her hand guiding her to one of the table near the counter. Pulling a chair as he did. "Wouldn't want to have our darling princess to stand while waiting for her coffee, now would we?" The coffee he ordered was still to be prepared by the barista so he thought it would be wise to use this chance to built a little more rapport with his new target.

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Zara was taken aback by Tsukasa's audacity by taking hold of her hand - better yet - touching her without her permission. Yet she hadn't snatched her hand away and scolded him like she usually would another man. Instead, she looked just as deeply into his eyes as he did her. For a second, Zara saw the faintest something in them that came off a bit threatening. The smirk that followed upon his face only made her feel all the more small and vulnerable: thus leading to her need to pounce and conquer. She felt her heart begin to race, her blood rushing with adrenaline. 'Prey! Make him prey!' she thought, but quickly shook the thought out of her head. She mustn't give in to her whims and predatory desires. It was a feeling she hasn't quite gotten used to yet, despite her 20-something years of being a siren. Zara diverted her eyes from Tsukasa and felt her face turn red. She mentally cursed herself for blushing. 'He probably thinks I'm blushing over him. As if I'd ever do such for a man!' she thought, in attempt to make herself feel bigger again - a common act she does seeing that she had an awful Napoleon Complex. Upon hearing him call her princess, Zara stood up straighter, puffed her chest up with arrogance, and ran her fingers through her hair, "Likewise I suppose, Tsukasa." she said in her soft way, saying his name slowly as if she was trying to taste it... but her nose was stuck up in the air snobbishly in her small attempt to feel in control. Zara accepted the seat he had pulled up for her, picked lint off her white jacket and sat with naturally perfect posture; legs crossed, chest high and chin up. She supposed the nickname "Princess" did suit her well. ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Moonbucks Cafe ᴡɪᴛʜ A The Handsome Stranger Tsukasa ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ 100% sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single ᴍᴏᴏᴅ feeling small, fragile and is absolutely annoyed by that ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ [x]

Tsukasa Inamori|| The Fox || 22 || Single || Journal || His actions were rewarded by a wonderful blush which boosted the fox's ego. She was conscious of his presence. Her actions says so. Prepping herself to look confident in front of him. What a wonderful sight it was. He was leaving a good impression. That was good. They all start this way. After ushering her to her seat Tsukasa took the seat right across her placing his chin on his palm as he locked with her lovely sapphires once more. His thumb started to gently rub on his perfectly sculpted lips as he did. "I do hope the coffee arrives soon. I still need to report for work. How about you, princess? Do you need to go somewhere after this?" Sadly, he's needed to report for work. It would be a shame to leave her be so he figured it would be better to know something about her in case he would like to create a planned accidental encounter.

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The way his thumb messaged his lips was distracting. He was distracting. Zara stared for a moment with whispers in her head repeating over and over 'Make him prey, make him prey.' He was teasing her. That was it. She never liked being teased. Zara looked up from his lips to his eyes. She was supposed to be the tease. All she wanted was a cup of coffee and find a little place for leisure time until it was time for her to go to work. But instead, she was sent this golden eyed, silver fox with an awful way of striking nerves. What probably bothered Zara the most was how much she loved the challenge, just as much as she loved how he called her Princess. "I'm off to work as well," she held eye contact, trying to find again whatever it is she thought she saw in his, "Later on in the day anyways. But until then... nothing." Wasn't it a shame he had to leave soon? Zara wanted to say she didn't care, but truthfully she hoped to see him again. She wanted to know what was behind those eyes, she wanted to wipe the intimidating smirk off tempting lips, she wanted her power back. Veni, Vidi, Vici. She came. She saw. Tsukasa Inamori|| The Fox || 22 || Single || Journal || Her work place never came up. Such a shame. He could always say that he happened to be around the place and decided to drop by. Alas, things didn't play as he wanted it to be. There was one thing he managed accomplish in this little conversations though. Lovely eyes of sapphire were fixated on his precious lips. She wanted him. Or so he thought. Her eyes met his golden brown once more, locking as if she was trying to decipher the meaning of his look. He always loved it when he feels needed. Accepted. Wanted. "I see." The unfaltering smile was still plastered on his face. This much would be enough to have her think about him for sometime. Lifting his chin off his hand, Tsukasa sat straight up mimicking her proper posture. His feet flat on the ground. "Such a shame." Stern lustful look transformed into disappointment in an instant. He was a master of disguise, possessing mask tons of masks, using them in the most appropriate way to benefit him. As if on cue, the barista call out his name. "Excuse me for a sec" He stood up from his seat and took their order from the counter. It took him awhile before he got back. He borrowed the marker they used to write down their names and started writing number right below Zara's name. Thankful for their help, Tsukasa waltz back to her handing her the White Russian. "I'm afraid that I'm running late as it is but in case you get lonely...you can always come by the Captain's Desk. I'll personally serve you to the best of my abilities." He said with a playful wink, not mentioning about him leaving his phone number on her cup. "Until then my princess." With one graceful curtsy, the young man locked eyes with her for the last time before he headed out of the shop. It was true that he was late for work. Not to mention that it was its first day being the pub's manager. But the main purpose of his sudden departure was to have him linger all the more into her thoughts. As he stated before....... he'll leave it to her imagination. It would be up to her if she was to follow him to his work place or not.
