He was trying not to think, trying not to see the obvious carnage that had occurred in the room that he was searching. Everything looked dirty, soiled in some way, and everything else just.
"Ya, there's gotta be something. Just keep looking." He glanced over at Chel and Chris and....Oh, hello Oliver. With even strides he made his way over to the young man, and crouched down next to him, noting how he was trembling. "You hurt, princess?" He asked, even in a situation like this, not giving up the little pet name he had given him. Another glance over showed no sign of the blood on the life trainees body had come from any wound, and he stood, hand rubbing over his own face as he made a slow turn around, looking at everything in the room.
"There's gotta be something..."
He began walking, beyond the room, to a set of stairs. Up or down...
He went down.
He found a body.
He had no idea the body had already been checked over but he went over towards it anyways, his weapon drawn, giving the body a swift kick to see if it made a response before rifling through his pockets, looking for anything of use (or anything that might have possibly been missed).

"Soon isn't - " Robert sniffed, a loud and violent sound. "Isn't fast enough. Gotta get him in a pod now. Soon is too late."
But he was calming down, having sedated from the moment Stormy's arms wrapped around his body. Much like a child, all he really needed at that moment was a hug.
He turned his head, and finally looked at Wilson with sullen, watery eyes. The man was searching the body that had triggered Mark's episode, and that made sense. Everything he did made sense. Robert hated Wilson, in that moment, because he made sense.
"Just." His voice muffled through a tragic pout. "Hurry. Okay."
Rep moved to Simon's side, and spoke to Allan, but Mimsy wasn't listening. It would have been disrespectful for her to, in the same way that touching the body had been, in her mind. She watched Shiloh leave the room, and stared at him down the hall, until Shu began to tug on her clothes.
"There is no need to apologize. You are doing all that you can," she assured her, hugging her close. It was an odd time for an apology, she thought, but she opted out of questioning it. Harrison even provided an easy distraction.
"I failed to bring mine, due to the fact that it is either in the pants or coat that I also failed to bring, but I discovered this in another room. It was John Smith's phone," she explained, as she pulled the phone out of her shirt pocket. "We could try..."
H is alive, he'd said.
So, of course, Dr. H was exactly who Mimsy attempted to call, on John Smith's cell phone.

[ hospital - basement ]
There were a few more distant gunshots just outside in the hall, a clang of metal--and later, a rather familiarly hissed curse. After a short delay, Jack entered the room, a little bloodier than before but otherwise the same narrow-eyed guy as usual.
He pocketed the strange gun in his coat, kicking a corpse on his way in. "Fill me in," he said briskly, without preamble and without mincing words. He also seemed to expect to be followed, as he took one look around the hospital without stopping.
"If someone is in need of a patch, tell me." Jack actually wasn't being sarcastic about this.

[ SECURITY ROOM ]
He felt as though he couldn't breathe.
Somewhere in the back of his mind Gale could still hear Mark squawking at him about miniskirt Mondays and telling him that he needed to get him a pair of live dolphins to ride around Deus every day - and then later shoving a tablet, Ben's tablet at him and telling him that he should look at it and remember to do good things - and this was the Mark that Gale remembered right then and there, the ridiculous, outrageous Mark, the Mark that never seemed to shut up and the Mark that Caelius had once (or twice) thrown out of a window.
This was not that Mark. Not anymore.
Gentle hands smoothed across his back - Stormy, her voice low and quiet in his ears, a soothing presence, but Gale was still frozen in place, a look of stunned horror etched into his expression like it had been stamped out of metal. Babbles of French, Solia's voice, and then Stormy's attempting to reassure her, and Gale still couldn't seem to move from where he sat, a few feet from where Mark had...
Robert's angry, anguished yell dragged him out of his stupor. All at once everything came rushing back to him, the pain in his leg, the pain in his chest, and Gale heaved a sharp breath inwards, as though just having broken past the surface after being held underwater.
He glanced at Solia, and then at Wilson, kneeling beside and back at Robert, but really he was looking for Stormy, who had moved over beside the enormous Life hunter to wrap her arms around him in a hug. Gale pushed himself vertical, but his injured leg gave away, and he collapsed again, swearing.
His eyes went to Solia. "Je ne peux pas marcher," he said, in a tired sounding voice. "J'ai besoin d'aide."

ALL PLACES
The alarms began to blare all at once, the literal cherry on top of the ice cream sundae of everything gone wrong. They blared all directions, and then a voice, robotic, over the system. Pre-recorded.
"Detonation of main island bases in T minus 300 seconds."
Five minutes. Five minutes. That was how much time they had to get out and activate the lighthouse portal.

All hunters may go ahead and do their last things before leaving! Feel free to post the actions in BOLD RED, and take anything you'd like with you (that is accessible/ that you've seen) and I'll try to get to them if I can , but I'll be pretty busy this weekend so I figured now was the best time to escape - Once you get to the lighthouse, whomever has [ MARKS LAPTOP ] will have to simply hit the enter button that already says "RUN PORTAL" on the window. The alarm, the lights were already blaring. If Allan had heard Rep, he didn't say a single word. Perhaps a part of him already knew.

Mark's tablet weapon was next to him, as if it had always been there. It would be taken by anyone who wanted to carry it.
The body next to Mark was just a nameless face. It wasn't anyone they recognized. There was absolutely no reason for the Death assistant to freak out over it unless he had mistaken it for someone else.

Deryk looked up as he heard the announcement, briefly distracted in his distress over what seemed to have happened to Mark.
"...No. Nononono. Guys. Gotta move. Now!"
He looked over the others.
"Anyone can't run?"
He didn't have much muscle, but he was willing to try and help someone get to safety regardless.

There was no thought as she picked up Mark's weapon tablet. She'd left Nevada's behind on accident; she would not make this mistake again.
The alarm blared and it set her anxieties right into a flare, but her exterior was calm. Or perhaps neutral. Dead even. She was long, long ready to go by now, having helped very little, having accomplished next to nothing. Everything about it, about her, now felt emptier.
"Then now it is," she told Robert with a small nod, patting his arm after getting up. "You get him safe, I'll keep this safe." The tablet was tucked under her coat, slipped partially into the belt despite the obvious awkwardness of it. It would not be left behind it if was the last thing she did.
Then Stormy turned, tugged her beanie tighter (it was there, it was consuming her head, scratching its existence into her scalp) and knelt beside Gale, taking his arm and sliding it around her to help him up. Leg shot, she remembered belatedly. It'd need a check up after this. "Do you need me to carry you?" she asked. An automated response, muted concern at most. If it weren't for the dire level of their situation, she would have crashed by now--but she could not, would not, show the extent of her breakdown. There was no point here. There wasn't any point at all.
It was the sight of the tablet in Stormy's hands that set off a fresh new wave of tears, but they didn't stop him from hearing - and responding to - her order. She had the tablet (oh God his weapon's a tablet it's too late it's too late) and he had Mark (cold skin against his naked chest everything felt so cold) and the alarms sounded like music to his ears.
A self-destruct warning was exactly what Robert was hoping for, though he would have appreciated it just a few minutes earlier than this.
"Okay boss," It was unclear whether he was talking to Stormy, or the body he patted on his shoulder. "Job's done. We're leaving now. Let's go."
He cringed as he lurged forward, his other wounded shoulder suddenly reminding him that he'd been shot too. It was so easy to forget you were in pain when you'd failed the one and only thing you were trying to accomplish. The man on his shoulder was dead. Not protected. Dead.
Couldn't even get that right, could he?
He walked past Stormy, past Gale, past everyone who'd come flooding into the room, refusing to look anyone in the eye as he carried Mark out. They were too late, just as Gale had been. Just as he'd been. Everybody was just a little too late.
He stopped at the exit to the facility, standing in the doorway he'd carried Mark into just a few moments ago, and turned to look down the other hallway's direction. Mimsy was still down there, wasn't she? There was no hope for saving Mark, now - he would wait there for her.

Hospital 2nd floor - Exiting the building
She wasn't sure if she'd started to black out or what exactly was the answer. All Fini knew was that there seemed to be a small gap in between when she first arrived on the second floor and the suddenly very loud siren blaring. It startled her and thankfully she was already leaning against the... very disgusting wall. Heart pounding she held her breath as the recorded voice filled the ******** my life." Fini growled pathetically, glancing at those who were lingering upstairs before making a beeline for the stairs. Best to get down them while she could still hold herself upright. Mostly. And hopefully Oliver would still be down there? She really wished she knew where Finn was. Or Ripley and Abbi. Or Jack.
Making it to the main floor, Fini was struggling to catch her breath and felt dizzy and everything was throbbing and hurting. Vashi was mumbling things to her but she couldn't focus on them.
"Ne... Need to... get out of here." There was no exact person she spoke to, but the sun trainee pushed at anyone that may have still be frozen to the spot as she limped past.
