He was small. Hopeless. Just the same, pathetic bear he always was. Teddomination visibly wilted, overwhelmed by the sheer sense of nothingness he felt. Could they even do this? Would they ever get out of this game...?
...Wait.
Wait, no. He had fiends. There was ALWAYS an out, so long as there were friends to fall back on. Drawing the card, Teddomination played it with shaky paws and broken nerves.

He felt like everything was starting to fade a little, a sickening feeling of becoming lost, invisible. He slugged his chainsaw up, his cards shivered uncertainly, and he felt a giant headache coming up. He didn't like it at all, it made him feel gross.
Wrong.
He decided that he would call on a request to the kingdom of Pride, like he had before. They would even up this score.

That crown looked really really familiar. But as much as she tried to place it, because it was on the tip of her mind, she just couldn't. Her huge axe almost fell from her hands as a crushing weight fell on her, a power that made her feel as if she had eaten that one dessert again but with added bad things. She felt so small, smaller than usual but useless.
But you've been helping! A part of her said. She was helping, right? She looked to the others, asking them silently with pleading eyes.
Maybe... maybe... if she pressed one of those cards.... Boss ability: The damage and heal and defense cap for your characters is 10. That means even with a luck multiplier and special abilities, 5 x 3 for example = 15, but with the cap it is 10 damage. That means you cannot exceed 10 on any stat ever, even when healing/defending others. Your minipet ability also counts towards your damage/heal/defense cap.

Dreadpirate receives a strange invitation via private message. He recognises a few of the names of party members mentions. Even if he didn't, he'd still have accepted the request and offered his assistance. He finds himself teleported in the middle of a dungeon, a fight already underway. "Thanks for the invite," he says. As he turns to the boss, he feels his confidence draining away. That's... a really huge boss. Probably gonna squash him. He tightens his grip on his sword. He'll try his best anyway. It might help to use an Ability Card... He activates Berserker. He summons Arpakassu so he doesn't have to worry about healing himself. He felt himself growing smaller, more insignificant with each movement. His legs felt like molasses, but he couldn't give in. If he did, then would it not meant that the beast won? He grimaced, small as he was, and struck at the monster before him.
Sure it hurt. Sure he probably wouldn't win, couldn't win, but... he had to try? Even if there was no chance... he couldn't give up before them. What an awful feeling, how hopeless this all was, they were just going to die. HIs needle felt so very heavy his heals seemed ineffective, he'd seen his death, he'd seen his better self… he'd seen the death of friends and so much more… How on earth could they overcome such futility? He glanced up and saw a familiar face, Dreadpirate, and it took his eyes off the boss for long enough that he could move closer "Hey…hey it's been a while!" He said anxiously. I…It's good to see you." He said and hunched into his own shoulders, curling in under the doubt and the anxiety that pressed down against him. "I…It's O.T. remember me?" You begin to lose your sense of self. You fade away, smaller now. You feel tiny and insignificant. Your weapons become heavier and so does your heart. A small part of you fights, but it seems hopeless. OCTO sighed-- was healing people really worth it? She wasn't feeling any better, being here in this dungeon, killing monsters and healing others. It all felt like a dream, a special dream, that couldn't... couldn't be true. She frowned to herself. She was so pathetic...
But then she realized Frostpaw needed hp. So she pulled herself out of self-depreciation, sucked in her chest, and continued healing others.

(( Stays in Berserker mode unless I post otherwise. )) "I remember," Dreadpirate says with a smile for the dormouse. He remembers OT being incredibly helpful during a dungeon run or two. "Good to see you again. And thanks for the heal." The Dormouse class isn't a front-fighting class, but the way OT is hunching up makes Dreadpirate think of Caterpillars instead.
