Never Again...
Herald gave a small smile before getting out as well, grabbing the second towel and beginning to dry himself off. After he finished he set the towel back and walked into the bedroom, putting his clothes back on before laying back on the bed. He looked over at Emma as she dried herself off. "Sorry if I took up more of your energy," he teased her.
☽"Not even tired..." Emma replied with a smirk as she went through her clothes. She quickly slipped on her clothes which were a bit tattered now. After that she jumped into bed next to Herald. ☾

Herald laughed as he heard Emma's response, taking her into his arms as she got into bed. "Well, try and get some sleep anyway," he told her. "We might not be getting much later." He wasn't aware of the refugee camp that had been created, but he knew the survivors of Death City must be regathering somewhere and probably rallying around Shira and her team. There would definitely be some kind of counter-attack in the works. He didn't know when, but he was going to be a part of it.

Herald nodded as he stared up at the ceiling. He would have to contact Eric and the others later to make sure he was in on whatever plan they had. Not that he would necessarily follow it, but it was good to know just in case it was something worth doing. He idly wondered how many people made it out of Death City. It didn't particularly trouble him, but the amount of people they had at their disposal would be an important component to whatever plan they had to retake Death City.
☽Emma closed her eyes and quickly drifted off, revealing how tired she was from the day. She kept close to Herald as she had what seemed to be a dreamless sleep. ☾

☽ Emma's eyes scanned the book she was reading underneath a tree she found and took a liking to a couple months back. Her tail swayed slightly while she was reading. She sighed then as her mind wandered once more Nothing yet... wonder when we will get some action... she thought with a pout. She had been training for a bit, now she was just itching to battle Divine or Scarlet or any other opponent. She shook that feeling off and tried to focus on her book once more. ☾
Herald came out of the fortress, stretching briefly before he walked down the winding path and into the field of flowers. Emma was under her favorite tree reading a book as she liked to do. He walked over to her, sitting down by the tree and then leaning back to lay on the ground with his arms folded behind his head. "You're getting stronger," he told her. "All that training is paying off. It was a good idea to focus on you being able to store more energy so you can stay in your other forms longer."

☽ Emma nodded "Yeah... too bad I didn't think of that in the past." she said with a slight joking tone before she marked the page she was on and placed the book down next to her. She looked down at Herald then "You seem to be doing better with speed. At this point you have an excuse to dodge instead of taking the hit and being reckless." she told him with a smirk. ☾
Herald looked over at Emma as she spoke. "I'm not about to reduce how often I go on the offensive," he replied. "My increased speed will help, but my form is built for taking punishment, not dodging it. I intend to use my speed to attack faster, not dodge." He leaned back again, looking up at the sky. "That's more your forte than mine."
