"The name's Gertrude, sir." She didn't like this man's tone, but she didn't see the need to act in kind. Not yet, anyway. She'd bottle up her discontent and pour it on something else. Something bad. She was glad the bartender was coming with more coffee. That was definitely one of the better things that happened lately. What with her home collapsing, her friends dying, teleporting into a bar where the doggone chairs exploded, hearing The Voice and all. "Thank you." She helped herself to a cup -- black -- drained it, and headed on her way. (Exit to The Old King's Labyrinth.)

The traces of silver clinging to Jordan's Miasma wisped into blue as he stepped back through into into the casino. Most of the people attending the meeting had dispersed, he noted, probably either to gather Miasma or brave the tower themselves. As for him, he needed a clean shirt to replace the one that had been torn by debris and a pill. "Ferros," he said to the bigger man. "Go upstairs and get me a shirt, will you?" Ferros nodded and moved off towards the elevators. The bartender fetched a bottle of water for Jordan; he swallowed one of the pills from his vial and slipped the vial back into his pocket. A small group was gathered at on of the tables; it included Saliva, but Melvin was nowhere in sight. Jordan crossed the room and touched Saliva's arm lightly. "Saliva," he greeted her. "You look tired. Has Melvin gone to take a rest?" His eyes flicked to the others in the group, taking note of who was there - G, Taima, Jing, Nuk. All marked allies.

The elevator was fancy, like most things in the casino, and Rep for the second time that night looked out over the strip as he waited with Melvin for the elevator to head up to the penthouse floor of the building. "I warn you by the way, it's no a wee shower." He said in an offhand sort of way, it was a strange thing to warn someone of but he had his reasons.
There was a chime as the lift stopped at their floor and Rep headed out into the hallway and through the door. The house within was sheer extravagant expense, the reaped rewards of all the pies the Watch had its fingers in. He led the way through to the shower and proved just why he'd warned Melvin beforehand.
It was no conventional shower, housed in a large room with glass - unfrosted - walls. There was no conventional showerhead in sight, the water was sprayed direct from the ceiling and walls of the shower area, backlit with blue light. Just beyond the shower itself there was a roaring fireplace and beyond that lay the master bedroom. It was not a shower that afforded privacy, visible from most places within the house.
"Beggars can't be choosers though" he said. "Get yourself sorted out and we'll see what we can do about getting you clean clothes."
(( Idea of what the shower's like ))

Saliva sat up a little straighter from where she was resting on the couch, having tried to get most of the dust and debris from her long, red ringlets and clothes. "Jordan. Oh, no. Melvin was having a bit of a breakdown from being dirty. I WISH he would have rested first. Rep took him after Melvin practically was in tears." She said with a smile, pointing in the direction they went.
--
Melvin stood before the massive shower, not caring about the room or the unfrosted glass, but at the large shower jets that were set on the walls and ceilings. Melvin's own money had gone into something similar, but even this topped his own shower.
"Pretty." He whispered, before looked back at Rep. "Thank you." And Melvin really meant it. The shower to him was a loaf of bread to a starving beggar, and Melvin set to work undressing, showing that despite his position, he still had ample scars including one around his neck. The jungles had not been kind to him. After a few minutes, the sound of the jets could be heard.

((Entering~))
"Hm."
That was the only sound the doctor made as it returned, a bit dusty with the debris of Silver. Its conclusions were... rather inconclusive, truth be told. It had sustained no great damage nor found any great answers. Just a collection of items, like some sort of ancient and rotting shopping list.
It wondered if that great sign of Protection was anywhere in Harrison's possession.

Rep gave the other man a smirk, Melvin was strange, a foreign sciencey type. But for whatever strange reason deep in his innermost drives - it was exactly those sort of helpless nerdy types he found himself drawn to protect and help. He blamed B0nez. "Yer welcome." he said gruffly. He was actually surprised to see that Melvin was as scarred up as the rest of them and realised he knew very little about the guy other than that he was a bit weird and very valuable.
"I'll go see if I can like, rustle up some s**t for you to wear." Anyone else he might well have gone found somewhere to keep an eye on them having a shower - because he didn't need to be ashamed of being a complete pervert when he had the power to be. But with Melvin there was just an urge to get him sorted out.
He rummaged through the wardrobe, looking through the various outfits. None of his outfits would do at all, too fancy and ridiculous for Melvin to pull off. Instead he gravitated to B0nez lesser worn hoodies, picking out one he hadn't seen him wear in ages, emblazoned with a pixel skull. The rest of the clothes he grabbed out of his own extensive and hardly worn wardrobe, a variety of t-shirts, denims, trousers and the like and wandered over to the shower.
He didn't give a damn if Melvin was in the nude or not as he set them over by the fireplace. "I'll leave these here."

Out of everywhere Melvin could have ended up, being in a realm of protection was the place he most needed. While Saliva and the others were good as protectors, Melvin instead reaped that quality and stayed behind their shield and served them all as best he could - even if he made it difficult half the time. It was the only reason he opened his mouth when Harrison gave the call.
After spending a little longer than he should have in the shower, he stepped out, dried off, and pout on the clothes offered. The clothes fit - but just barely, and the hoodie was bigger than his other one, which was great considering he liked to use it like a turtle used it's shell. He did inspect the crude skull on it, but it looked near new and he wasn't about to punch a gift horse in the face.
Stepping out, held his dirty, folded clothes under one arm and looked around the massive pent house. He'd never been up here because he never had reason or cause to be allowed up here. Considering the open layout, Harrison either liked to watch for pleasure or for security.
"I like your shower."

Rep didn't mind waiting for Melvin, the penthouse was his centre, the seat of power in the kingdom and a place where he felt he could relax. While he waited on him, he sat at one of the computer workstations in an adjoining room - still easy to spot. It was a sprawling blue LED covered behemoth of a PC, and Rep, for whatever reason had hand glued the name ALEX above the six monitors in bling diamonds.
Rep swivelled in the leather chair when he exited the shower and set the machine back to screen saver, apparently the network it ran on was called Selene.
"It's a ******** nice shower." he agreed. "Most s**t's nice up here though. Have you ever seen the view?"

Rep was right to assume Melvin wasn't here to mess with anything. The network the massive computer worked on and it's location, any possible way to break into it, or even just sharing that information was not something he even bothered to give a thought. Just as Melvin was safe here, everyone else was safe around Melvin.
At the question, he just shook his head.

Rep's enthusiasm seemed to kick in at the chance to show off, however small the opportunity may have been. "It's amazing!" he said, and was up from his chair like a shot. He headed out of the penthouse onto the rooftop. "Come see it." The swimming pool was as extravagant as was to be expected, lit up brilliant blue against the night, sprawling right up to the absolute edge of the roof so it looked like the water simply stopped of it's own accord.
He edged around the pool to a seated area with loungers and a clear veiw, spread out directly below was the strip, the huddled casinos and clubs, the neon and clustered screens, the lights dazzling and theirs, from here you could see all the way out to the darker edges of the kingdom, where life wasn't so ideal, and beyond even that to a thin strip of desert that was all the world beyond.
The redhead, normally grim and irritable couldn't keep the massive grin off his face as he took a deep breath of the cool night air. "Worth ******** fighting for right?" he beamed.

Melvin followed along, up to the roof and edging along the pool. It was a pretty pool, with what looked like clean, blue water. Still, he liked the shower more.
Moving along, he stopped to stand alongside the man to see where the world seemed to drop down to a length of neon lights and signs.
He watched for a moment, taken in my the artificial beauty, before he heard Rep speak. Thinking, he frowned. "I have been in the company of drug lords, all of which lavished themselves in gold and diamonds, and many people fought and died for his trinkets. It was not worth fighting for."
He turned to look at Rep. "People, that is worth fighting for. I would fight for Harrison." He paused. "I would fight for you." He returned to looking at the pretty lights. "It's pretty though. My lab doesn't have a view." Or many windows.

Raising a brow Rep looked as if he was thinking about it. "Things are nice though." he said, as if weighing it up. He liked possessions, money was power, money bred envy and respect, it made people jealous and made you attractive. It had a lot going for it. But people had good things to be said for them too. There was sex. Sex, sex and sex. Those were all very important factors in why people mattered in general. Also he needed people to do the things he'd rather not, and to heap him with praise and flattery. A kingdom without people would only be half fun.
"But I guess you are right." he conceded. People were important, some more than others, Harrison, B0nez and Jordan he'd do anything for, he'd let all of this burn for their sakes, as much as he loved it. The rest of the crew were growing on him to various degrees aswell, he felt warmly towards them.
"People are more important like, overall. But they are so much more fragile, it's a shame, blink and they are gone. I try to enjoy them while I have them." his smirk twisted up a little higher. "But that's cute, I appreciate that you'd fight for me, I fight for all the bastards that work for us, whether or not they care."

[enter] Despite his plans when he left silver kingdom, by the time he had managed his way back to blue kingdom he was tired, and hungry, and very uncomfortable in his still slightly damp cloths. Despite wanting information, what he really wanted was a bath and a change of clothes. His minor injuries were bothering him. He felt a moment of strangeness as all of the miasma he had collected vanished. He slouched in, looking at some of the others blues who had made it back before them. He had information, yes, but no one get knew he was the one who triggered off the tower. Maybe he could convince someone to get him a change of clothes. He looked around for a good target.

Jordan's eyebrows lifted slightly. "He took him up to the penthouse?" That was unusually generous of Rep; then again, having Melvin on the verge of a breakdown from dirt wasn't a good thing, and for all that Rep was often selfish, he knew the value of taking care of your people. "All right. Do you need anything, Saliva?"
One of the Silvers had returned - the one that had had to be stopped from bolting. That the man had come back was a good sign, and Jordan studied him. The Silver hadn't yet pledged to Blue, but if he had gone out and retrieved Miasma for them, he might be willing to be recruited. When the man looked his way, Jordan smiled and nodded.
---
Upstairs, Ferros stepped out of the elevator and swiped his card in the reader beside the apartment's door. As he entered, he called out, "It's me. Ferros," in case anyone was in the house; Rep had been known to pull claws or firearms on unannounced visitors, and Ferros hadn't seen the red-haired man downstairs.
