Miyuki nodded, "The weather has always been good wherever we traveled in the Westland, and the Eastland and Southland are both deserts..."
It was a pity, weather changes were quite nice, sometimes.
"Well... maybe we'll be in Amon Darthir in time for winter, while I like playing in the snow, it's easier to get around without it."
Though she was probably a tad too old for that now.

Earendil started counting down in his head, but before he even figured out how long it would be before they started out on their trip, Shiro already had the answer to Miyuki's implied question.
"We'll probably be in Amon Darthir for the whole of winter," he said. "If everything goes well, we should arrive there at the beginning of winter, perhaps a bit before. And I'm sure no one will be in a huge rush to leave Amon Darthir ... I'm sure Alassëa would appreciate if she had familiar people around her as she gets used to her new life, at any rate."

"Yes!" Miyuki was happy because it meant she could find some old friends and see how they were doing.
Though she was well aware she was probably now slightly older than most of them, but that was alright.
"Then we can also see how it has changed, since now the city has expanded and they can explore the rest of the island."
"Hmm... that's a good point, who knows what they've been up to now," Lin murmured thoughtfully.

"And then I can see what it's like," Andarien grinned.
"Indeed you can," Earendil chuckled. "And I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself."
He looked back at Lin. "At any rate, perhaps we should let Andarien get back to his lessons," he murmured. "We were also going to look for Lancaeriel and Sir Valdemar, were we not?"

Lin nodded at this, as Miyuki spoke up, "If they're still researching, they should still be in the library. Unless they took it to Sir Valdemar's study."
Though the young kitsune was use to seeing both elves in the library doing some sort of research by now.
"Then let's take a peek in," Lin murmured.

"The study is closer," Earendil murmured as the three of them headed to the door again. "See you later, Andarien. Oh - and tomorrow morning, instead of lessons, we're going to visit our Uncle Eldrin, my mother's brother, all right?"
Andarien's eyes lit up behind his goggles. "Yeah! I didn't know we had an Uncle Eldrin!"
Earendil chuckled. "Well, you'll meet him tomorrow. Be good, now."
"Uh huh!" Andaerien beamed and returned to his work.

Lin smiled, glad that went over well as they headed back out the door and down the hall to where the library was.
Once they were out of earshot Miyuki asked quietly, "Can I also learn the long bow ada?"

Earendil blinked down at Miyuki, surprised by her request. Yet at the same time, he was proud of her.
"Of course you may, Miyuki," he replied, equally quietly, realizing that she probably didn't want Andarien to overhear. "Then perhaps tomorrow after we visit Uncle Eldrin, we can go to the city and have bows made for both you and Andarien."

Miyuki smiled and nodded at this, even if it didn't suit her it was worth a try. Besides, if River was coming then she could ask River for help as well.
"It's good to see you're settling into your own lessons," Lin murmured softly.
It wasn't the same as Lin directing Miyuki, and to Lin, the sign of success was when her own children would start taking their education into their own hands.

"Very good to see," Earendil echoed. He put one arm around Miyuki's shoulders and gave her a light squeeze. "I'm proud of you, Miyuki."
He smiled at her as they approached Sir Valdemar's study. The door was open slightly, but nothing could be heard from within.

"Hm.... I wonder if they're in the library and not in the study," Lin couldn't hear anything, not even a rustle of paper.
"Or they could be reading really really hard," Miyuki suggested, "They were quite absorbed into it last time."
Though she admitted, she didn't even hear rustling, but they could be still on the same page!

"Well, there's only one way to find out," Earendil murmured. He reached out and knocked on the door.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The heavy door echoed the taps in the study, but there was no answer.
"Looks like we should try the library after all," Earendil shrugged. "Unless they're so into what they're reading that they don't hear me knocking."

"They are the same two who can read all through the night without realizing it," Miyuki pointed out, "It might be a bit safer to take a peek in just in case...."
She had to get her mentor's attention after all before the lesson could even start.

Earendil considered for a moment, then nodded.
"Hello," he called out, pushing the door open a bit further. He peeked into the study, then pushed the door open a bit further to show the others that there was in fact no one in there.

"Huh... I guess they must still be in the library," Miyuki murmured as she peeked into the empty study.
"Let's head onto the library then," Lin murmured in turn.
