Blake's anger subsided as Rosa seemed unhurt. He couldn't understand why someone would put their partner in harms way like James did. Blake went over to pick up the blade that was shot at him. Dissolving it into his own blade, Blake began to walk off. If you still want to fight, it'll be your funeral. Otherwise, I'm going home. Blake walked over to Rosa before leaving. Nice job, but you ought to get a better partner than him. Nudging the both her and Juliet, he shared a small bit of his magic in order to speed up the time it would take to heal their wounds. He pulled out a roll of bandages and wrapped his arm once more. You two should be back in action in a couple of days so take it easy...
James kept his gunblade on Blake as he lowered his guard. For one tense moment it looked like he was about to pull the trigger. Then the moment passed and his arm flashed back to normal. He turned and walked back towards Rosa, Juliet and Max just as Blake was walking away. He didn't respond to Blake's comment about finding a new partner, instead simply straightening his tie as they passed each other. He was silent as he stood with the group, obviously unhappy with the result of the battle and Rosa's actions. He didn't understand why she had suddenly quit the battle. It didn't make any sense. The battle hadn't been over but she'd just walked away? They could have both been killed! He grit his teeth as he thought of how lucky they were that their enemy wasn't willing to do something like that.

The closer she got to Juliet and Max the more she avoided eye contact. She felt ashamed that she had just ended a battle with no reason and for that matter, is now unsure about who her partner really is. This worried her. Afraid that if she didn't figure it out soon, James and her would not be able to resonate souls anymore. Juliet had spoken to her and Rosa glanced at her form the corner of her eye then back down to the ground."Thanks." She stood silently next to the too and faced back towards James and Blake. It appeared that Blake had agreed with Rosa to end the battle and started walking towards them. And had some how healed there wounds, to the point to were they were almost gone. But that wasn't what surprised her, it was his comment about finding another partner. 'Why would he say that?' She asked herself and he walked away. James had decided to join the group and walked past Blake with no reaction and stood with them. Rosa wasn't sure if she should say something, or give him the cold shoulder. 'I need to now what happened.'She thought to herself and glared at James. She thought about what she was going to say.

James returned Rosa's glare with a blank stare. It wasn't that he was purposely giving her the cold shoulder. Quite the opposite: he was trying to figure out why she had walked away from the battle. They still had a viable opponent and they were still able to fight. That was all you needed, right? He could tell she was mad at him, but he didn't know why. "Why did you abandon the fight?" He asked her. His voice was calm though there was the slightest tint of annoyance to it.
"Oh thank god", Juliet let out a reliefed sigh when Blake put his weapon down and started walking towards them. Blake also commented about Rosa needing a new partner and as sad as it was, Juliet kinda agreed. James seemed a little too coldhearted to be someone like Rosa's partner, but.. there's always a possibility of it working. Maybe Rosa saw something in him that we couldn't see? Blake also did something to two of them that Juliet didn't understand right away, the pain of the injuries had vanished with the adrenaline, but she would notice it later on.
Rosa obviously wasn't her normal self, how could she be in this situation anyway? Juliet lifted her hand towards Rosa when she had turned around, but put her hand back down before reaching Rosa. "That would be kinda weird, huh.." Juliet came from family where sign of affection were quite rare so she wasn't used to showing them that much either.
Rosa wasn't the only one who wasn't happy how the fight had gone as James walked towards them with a tense posture. When James asked Rosa a question, that was when Juliet snapped. "ARE YOU A FOOL?!" Juliet shouted, stepping in between Rosa and James, as if protecting her. "WHY DIDN'T YOU PROTECT YOUR PARTNER?!" As Juliet shouted she raised her hand to slap James, but Max grabbed it to stop her. "Stop it", Max said with a quite calm tone. He did sort of understand why James had done it, James had told them about his history a bit afterall. However that didn't make it any more right. "If he's really that weak and doesn't believe in his own power to defeat his opponent without killing him, then let him", Max was provoking James, but it was also correct, it's much more easier to kill than keep alive. People usually opened up more when they were mad, either that or drunk, and Max didn't see any alcohol around. "Fine", Juliet said after a while and pulled her hand free, moving aside from the two of them. Max followed her without looking at James even once.
Not sure whether Juliet and Max are still there or not so I'm gonna assume they are sweatdrop

James's attention went to Juliet followed by Max as they each said their piece. His slight change of expression indicated that he'd finally realized what everyone was so upset about. "I see," he replied. "You didn't understand the strategy?" He held up two fingers. "Blake is soft. I believed that if I transferred the damage to Rosa, someone whom he would feel bad for if he hurt her, he would stop the attack mid-way through causing less damage for both of us than if he did the full thing. He did." He closed one finger. "By allowing Rosa to take most of the recoil from the shot, I was in a perfect position to fire a blade straight through the opponent. If it was someone besides one of Lady Death's retinue, they would have been skewered and I would wager the battle would have been over in our favor." He closed the second finger. "Isn't it smarter to take a little damage immediately than much more damage over a longer amount of time? I'm trained to think ahead. I'm also from a place where survival is..." he didn't finish the statement, looking as if he hadn't meant to add the second part. But his composure was back immediately. He didn't seem offended that Juliet had tried to slap him or that Max had called him weak. In fact, it was a little strange how James seemed to almost completely fail to respond to emotional situations.
James looked over at Rosa as if waiting to see if she understood what he was saying before looking back at Max. "It's not a matter of whether or not you're "strong" enough to leave your opponent alive. If you need your opponent alive, you keep the alive. If you need them dead, you kill them. Strength and weakness only factor into how well you can accomplish either of those two things. That is all."
It occurred to Blake as to why James had such a reputation after hearing his logic. He was cold and calculating like a machine. And as everyone knows, machines feel no emotion. Blake was somewhat impressed as to how James came up with a strategy like that. The hole being soft thing was a bit much. Its not about being soft, its about knowing how far to go. If I fought the way you do, there wouldn't be a lot of you or you're partner left. When Blake finished wrapping his arm up again, he faced the group. Although I have to give you props on that killer strategy, quite impressive. On that note, you shouldn't have put you're partner in danger like that. No matter how great a plan you might have, you can't sacrifice your partner. That's a last resort and even then it shouldn't be taken.

Rosa was surprised to see how Juliet reacted. Juliet took her place in between Rosa and James and went to slap him. Luckily Max had stopped her and talked some sense into her. Rosa sighed and looked up as James spoke his piece. She understood his plan, it was very impressive, but she didn't like that fact that she was willing to put her into a situation like that. Blake responded to Jame's comment and Rosa decided to put her imput into it."Blake is right James. You just didn't know when enough was enough. But there is something else."She stopped to figure out how to put her words together that she was about to speak. Rosa decided that she was just going to say what was on her mind, there was no other way to get the answer she was looking for."There was something that I felt. Earlier, when we linked souls. Thought it was only for a brief moment. So I ignored it. But then it happened again, after Blakes attack, and you wanted to kill him. It was a cold and ire feeling. I know that something like that is suppose to happen when partner's link souls, so tell me. What is it?"She asked her question in a serious tone. She wasn't about to take no for an answer. If her and James were going to continue being partners she needs to know what she had just experienced.
After James had explained his point to them, Juliet wanted to rise two certain fingers for him too. Juliet tried to understand the point he was giving them, but to her it was all a load of beewax. Juliet let out a loud frustrated groan as Max patted her on the back in a try to comfort her. "NONE OF THOSE--" Juliet realized she was still shouting so she lowered her voice. "None of those points explained the fact that you tried to kill or atleast seriously injure your opponent in a SPARRING MATCH", Juliet just couldn't keep her tone low, rising her voice at the end.
Max was just quietly observing the people from the side, moving his glance from person to person as they spoke. He soon became quite annoyed at this as the conversation slowly drifted into something he wouldn't care about anymore; the past and sob stories. Max rolled his eyes and moved her stare into his nails instead, acting like they were much more interesting than the things happening around them.
As Rosa asked questions from James, Juliet was spacing out and glancing at Blake's direction. She was thinking about what Blake had said earlier about not sacrificing your partner, which had been quite moving to be honest. Despite those words, the black haired guy with those soft brown eyes seemed not to have partner of his own? Soon Juliet realized she had been staring him for a little too long, so she quickly shook her head and moved her attention to James who seemed to be everyone elses center of attention too.. well except Max's. This did however feel quite awkward though, as it was probably their own personal matter. So Juliet took steps closer to Blake in case the situation would get all uncomfortable and they'd need to scram.
James listened to Juliet's and Blake's responses. They both though he had caused too much damage, Juliet to Blake and Blake to Rosa. Why was it that everyone was constantly worried about the amount of damage someone else took? He didn't get it. James was about to respond when he heard Rosa and the words froze in his mouth. She felt that!? He thought worriedly. He quickly looked down at his watch, holding it up slightly. He saw the problem; the dial was slightly off. That was how she was able to feel it! He grit his teeth slightly before looking back up at Rosa. "I'm sorry," he told her, his voice had lost its edge and was completely calm. "My wavelength is a bit strange and sometimes it throws people off. It's something I inherited from my grandfather." Everything he said was technically true, though of course he had left out the most important part. His facade was convincing, but the last thing he wanted to do was make his little secret public. Especially with so many people around. "If you're worried about madness or black blood, don't worry: I don't suffer from either one," he assured her. This was a full truth. James's....condition had nothing to do with madness wavelengths. If she found out what he really was though....He gave Rosa a smile. "It's nothing to worry about, I promise."

Rosa listened to Jame's explanation and could feel like he was leaving something out. He used very little description as possible, and made his comments very open to interpretation."Fine."She left her reply short and simple. After all she was still upset with the way he had acted in the match."Though I am your meister, and you my weapon. We need to stay on the same page or this will not work. Do you understand."She explained very seriously. It was clear that James could function without a mesiter, but Rosa couldn't without a weapon, so she had to make sure they were on the same page from that point on. She connected eyes with James glaring at him before sighing, letting go of all the tension."Anyways, what are the plans now guys?"She asked everyone else, it was time to change the subject.
Max didn't buy James's explanation at all, not even the parts that were true. But then again, he really didn't care about the truth either so it was fine by him. Juliet didn't really even know how to be doubtful so she accepted James's story so-and-so. It wasn't really up to them either, it was up to Rosa if she believed him or not.
Max was reliefed when the subject had been changed by Rosa and actually felt a little thankful towards her for that reason. Juliet looked pondering when asked about their plans for the day, she hadn't really thought about the subject.. well she barely ever does. "We couldd.." Juliet thought outloud, stretching the words as she did. "Go for a drinks? As a sign for new friendship?" Juliet had a wide grin on her face as she said this. Max let out a loud grunt as a disagreement, he just wanted to go to sleep. He did know though that if he asked a permission for this, he wouldn't be allowed. Juliet pretended not to hear Max's grunt and instead was looking everyone elses expressions, stopping at Blakes. "What do you guys say? It would cheer up the mood!" Juliet had a smile on her face as she brought her arms behind her and leaned forward a bit.
James was relieved that Rosa accepted his explanation. "Understood," he replied simply when Rosa asked. And he did. He could understand Rosa's desire to know the full story and for him not to do things she didn't expect. Those concepts were familiar to him. He still couldn't understand why she cared if all that happened was that their opponent was hurt more than they were planning. "We'll fight by your rules next time." That was a total lie. James never fought by anyone else's rules. But if that's what it took for Rosa to calm down and trust him again, he would say it. Still, unless the matter was urgent he shouldn't push his luck. They were a brand new team after all. He looked over at Juliet when she asked about drinks, using the distraction to quickly adjust a dial on his watch. That should do it he thought to himself. He could tell that Max was not up for drinks and was still suspicious of him. He could practically smell mistrust. He glanced at Max for a quick moment before looking back to Juliet. She didn't seem too suspicious of his explanation. Either that or she just hid her suspicions a lot better. James believed it was the former.
If Max didn't trust him or believe a word out of his mouth, that was fine. But if Max started digging into his story, he'd have to kill him. It was the only way. Hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with that. But that was later. Now was drinks. That is, if everyone was up for it. He looked over at Rosa, allowing her to make the choice. "I'm okay with it if you are," he told her in a friendly tone, seeming to forget all about their previous disagreement.

Blake's attention turned toward the wound Rosa was able to inflict during the fight. Her accuracy with pressure points was surprisingly good. He could feel some of his energy twisting in that spot as his wavelength settled. During this examination, he felt the gaze of someone whose soul showed sings of curiosity. Blake grinned as Juliet shook her attention off of him. He didn't mind being watched, so long as he wasn't he wasn't being monitored constantly. The idea of getting drinks didn't seem so bad to him, as long nothing crazy would happen. I guess I'm down... Blake turned to see Juliet smiling. Not knowing what to do turned to his sword inspecting it.

Reya herself could use a drink and was relived that she still wanted to go get some."Good I could use one."She admittedly told the others the noticed that Blake was looking at where Rosa had hit him doing the battle. She smiled and placed her hands on her hips."You got lucky, if I hadn't of miss your wouldn't be able to move your arm. Next time I wont."She said teasingly to him. Then noticed that when he saw Juliet smile he turned his attention down toward his sword.'Is he nervous?'She asked herself and let out a small chuckle without saying anything."Well Juliet I guess you should lead the way yes?' Considering she was the one who knows where to go.
