Amarus had sort of phased out for a moment, but tried to listen with whatever part of her mind hadn't checked out and become immediately occupied with whatever song was playing. It seemed to be even more awful than before; was that possible? Whatever. She didn't really care that much. She wondered how Jin was doing, if he had eaten any of the other minis yet. Oh, her tiny devourer.
There was some hugging going on in her peripheral vision, and then suddenly Mot said her name, and she snapped back to the scene, bells jingling. She set her punch down for a moment in order to clasp her hands and bow to the very good friends of Mot. "Pleased to encounter you, friends of Mot," she said, looking between them. "You have been practicing dancing too.. Mitsu?"
Amarus made an attempt at conversation. A sad attempt.
And then she picked up her cup of punch and took a deep sip. Please save her, punch. She had not studied for this kind of interaction. Group dynamics... she couldn't quite manage.

The reaper glanced back at the punch table before she took the seat that Sammy offered. Mot seemed to be introducing a ghoul next to him, and underneath her mask Hel’s brows furrowed. Was…that…his date? Did he…bring a ghoul to prom? That’s what her mind said he did, immediately, and she frowned, her stomach twisting terribly. Jealous. Her attention snapped back to Sammy though, and she took the seat next to her. “ Oh…ha…not really, friend…I pretty much just arrived…” And did one troll dance with Titus. “ I…uh…” She really wished Sammy didn’t ask how she’d been. “… I have been…okay. Oh, do not worry.” She waved a hand at her. “ Things happen, ya?” Very hectic. “ We should train together sometime then, to make up for it…how have you been? Oh uh…” Her gaze drifted back over to Mot, but she shook her head. “ No…I came by myself.”

Herryk had to admit, he was pretty impressed by False and his actions. While he was upset with himself, well. False had been there for Freya when Herryk hadn't been. There was something to be said about the gentlemanly way the reaper boil had handled himself. If False had been anything but respectful towards Freya... well, he'd have been a smear on the floor before he could have taken a single step.
"The booth is all of this.. technology, so it is not such difficult work," Herryk rumbled softly, wrapping his arms around his beloved Freya, "so much of Herryk's time has been spent wondering where Freya had gotten to." Her smiles brightened his own spirits, and Herryk cupped her pale cheek in one broad hand, leaning forward so that he could whisper a soft, "Freya is the most beautiful ghoul that Herryk has ever seen."
He pressed a kiss to her temple.
"Ever."

"You should have a Death Jewelcrafter to make you a set, I hear their craftsmanship is excellent. ... Would you agree Heidla??"He continued to dance, merry for the moment to enjoy a familiar pleasure, exchanging a smile with Fai as he crossed to face his fellow clansman, mirroring his moves as they clapped and twirled before joining in a circle once again. Albeit a special circle, with so few members, and Heidla dancing a bit of her own accord. As he began to tire a bit, Kiwi eased the tempo gently slower, giving a final twirl and rattle of his wrists as the song playing over loudspeaker came to a close. It was a tiring dance, but an invigorating one. He stretched and smiled, glad to have shared the experience with such good friends.
"I think that's enough for now. ... Should we make our way to the tables for refreshments?? ... I'm quite curious what you scarelings partake of at Prom." And as ironic as it may have sounded, he was a bit famished, and quite thirsty after such vigorous dancing.

Something clearly made the ghoul uneasy. She seemed so stressed stiff, not at all like the wild and free ghoul she recalled in the past. Her own face was wrought with worry and confusion as she watched the other.
Slamming back a cup of punch she stood up. "We will train. Today. We dance." A hand snapped out to Hel, "You look stressed, you don't have a date, I'm sitting about all dolled up which I never do. Junko wouldn't dance with me and if you don't I might just have to go and cry about how none of my friends love me."
"Come my... slightly less winged friend, lets go turn some boils heads on the dance floor."

And just like that, at the drop of a hat the tables turned. Everyone just left! How rude of them to leave him behind. "Well if that's how the game is going to be played, so be it." Either way, Lou was going to win. Whether he slow danced with the untouched flower or made everyone so miserable they rued the day of prom.
Another awesome swish of the boil's cape and he was off to hide until a perfect time presented itself.

The offer of refreshments was tempting but this was a dance. It would be super lame if she copped out by just going ahead and going to the refreshment stand first. The refreshment stand was almost a death sentence to an evening. Tahki actually pondered both choices for a while before she decided to go ahead and answer. "Dancing sounds nice," She gave the horseman a serious nod. A death sentence to the evening did not sound like something she wanted to do. Tahki gave Mengyao a smile before she started off for the dance floor.

" Spike the bunch?...", she asked again. Eisheth wasn't sure she understood it correctly. The drink tasted good, seriously good and refreshing. " You know, on Famine I was dealing with different poisons mostly, and we had a fun habit of adding different potions to each other's drinks. They were made of some local crops, and sometimes their effects were interesting: some potions could make you small, the size of the palm; some might get you so high all you could feel was a pure sense of happiness; some changed the colour of your skin into blue or pink. Is it something like this?", now the alchemist was really curious. Could the halloweeners really succeed in potion making? That was quite unbelievable. She looked around curiously, and was a bit surprised to notice some horsemen chatting with the students, and even some fellow faminers, was it Kiwi and Faiyum on the other side of the room?... Wow. So she wasn't the only one of them to come here. And... that bastards! Nobody even spoke a word about it back at the reserve! Though she didn't either.

Taima stood a little straighter, her feathers fluffing as she fought the urge to preen. Yes, she was bold--if Taima had a last name, Bold could have been her middle one. It was a trait she had been accused of having too much of in the past, so that this stranger acknowledged it as a good thing put him way up there on Taima's list of Awesome People. "Taima," she finished for him. She reached up to shake his hand. "And what are your intentions here, Mister...?"

"Well, yes, a drink would be most refreshing," Fai agreed, straightening his robes discreetly. "But Kiwi, we must make sure that it doesn't smell of mint," he added quietly to his partner in crime. "I have come upon several mint flavored drinks recently, I do believe the outcomes are varied, to say the least." He was thinking of their experiment on the scarelings, but the mind clearing tea did drift through his thoughts as well. He offered his arm to Heidla, seeing that she looked a bit fatigued. "Perhaps we could find someplace... away from the loud boxes where we can chat?"

As soon as the feline duo reached the table, Riyo released the boil's hand in favor of pouring him a cup of punch. She was fairly certain that with Junko watching like a hawk, nothing would come of it... But if there was one thing gnomes were good for, it was doing something they were specifically told not to.
"Here." The bakeneko offered. If anything, Deacon had at least succeeded at taking her mind off-
... Titus. She caught him approaching out of the corner of her eye. Hm. What to do? Oh, right.
Riyo looked at him only for a moment before turning her attention back to the boil in front of her. No greetings, no insults, no slap in the face. Just one bare, frigid shoulder aimed his way.

"I suppose so," Shun said to Mitsu. Cuteness factor was something beyond him as well. He didn't know how to gauge that sort of thing but because she said that, he had to wonder if there was something between the two. Hm. Well that was fine he supposed. Turning back to Mot, he nodded quietly. Well, at least he was up to being able to show himself. The mention of dancing lessons reminded him that the poor girl had not been so coordinated with it in the previous year. It would be good to see how she was fairing now with it. As far as Amarus went, he nodded quietly to her in greeting. After doing so, he just took another drink of his own punch.

"Mmm well, not like with real spikes or anything. I guess its just a cultural type saying. Ya know liiiiikkkeeeeee....." Mei furrowed her brow in thought while cupping the elbow of her arm holding her drink with her free hand. "Mother would say 'Fly in the ointment' or 'I feel like a six legged octopus'. I never really got that last one..."The ghoule snapped her fingers. "Yea yea! Exactly that! Though usually whats put in the punch just makes you tipsy. Inebriated. I've never heard of anyone becoming smaller of their skin pigment changing from it. Though maybe if a species had a bad reaction it might happen." She giggled at the thought, adjusting her mask before it slipped down her face. "If you are interested in poisons or potions there may be someone around here, perhaps a couple students or teachers that have a vested interest in them too. Wouldn't hurt to ask around. As for me, I'd probably end up blowing half the school." As Eisheth glanced around so did she. Mei tilted her head as Alex came into view, gathering up a plate full of snacks. She gave him a little wave with a gloved hand. "Hello Alex! Hungry?" She giggled, turning her head to catch another familiar Horsemen's gaze. Mei nodded her head towards the other in acknowledgement.

Heidla was thankful - both for the strong hand of her kinsman and for the suggestion to make a pause in their dancing practices. She was far better in chatting than in dancing: at least, chatting came natural to her, while dancing was something she had to copy. She was also relieved at the thought of refreshments - she definitely needed a drink. "What type of drinks do they serve here?" she asked her partner. Meaning: hopefully, not the same type as I make at home, as that would probably be of no use here. Then she remembered that Famine were good at potion-making, and relaxed. If the drinks are bad, they would fix it somehow. She smiled to Kiwi: "You're right, our jewelcrafters are most dedicated to their art. That's their life. We, Death clansmen, prefer things not imbued with real life - we give our hearts to dreams and stones". She sounded quite vague, probably.

"I promise that most land-walkers actually have decent taste in music that does not involve acting like a chicken," He chuckled, shaking his head at the music that was currently being played; it was amazing that they would even play this, even if the theme - and decor - of the prom was elegant, and surprisingly well-executed. Then again, considering what they did at Scarentine's, this should have come at no surprise.
"I do not see any games to be played, Amphi," He replied, sounding amused. As they reached the refreshment table, he removed the ghoul's hand from his arm to get them both a drink, holding out a cup of punch for her to take upon his return, "I doubt that they would have the budget to provide toys every event."
At Xiu's comment, he grinned, "Extremely so." Taking away part of tonight's entertainment? No, thank you; besides, a part of him didn't want someone to be the target of ungentlemanly behavior. That would be a path not to take tonight.Inu-Mitsu trains... Even if idek if Shun and Mitsu are still there. :'D
