((Since the priests are kind of NPCs, I hope you don’t mind my taking control of the situation! If you do, let me know and I will rewrite Lorathin’s part.))
Agrona could not help but laugh as Kirin informed her of where Lorathin had truly gone, the sound filled with deadly joy.
“Fantastic!” she chortled, approval gleaming in her eyes as she looked to him. “I’m not sure who to root for; your exorcists or Lorathin!”
She followed at Kirin’s side as he continued to lead the way, her smile slowly fading.
“Though I don’t blame someone of your stature for underestimating Lorathin,” Agrona began, her next words almost melancholy, “but it takes far more than a simple ‘hole through his chest’ to kill him. His soul, if you want to call it that, isn’t attached to his flesh.”
__________________
As he appeared in a swath of thick darkness, he raised his remaining eyebrow at the words painted on the building in front of him.
“‘Dawn Trotters Head Quarters’?” he read aloud. Before the last word could leave his mouth, four men were before him, pointing their spears toward him, their expressions both surprised and displeased.
Fury passed Lorathin’s face as realization dawned on him.
“I’ll kill him!” Lorathin growled beneath his breath as one of the exorcists—clearly the leader within the small group—dared speak to him.
“I won’t be the one going there today,” Lorathin snorted as the man moved to raise a whistle. Before the whistle could touch the man’s lips, Lorathin’s body turned into a mass of black. Its center made a wide birth around the exorcists’ spear, staying clear of the many crosses adorning the man’s figure.
Within less than half a second, the darkness had entered the man’s body only to spew from his back a moment later, leaving him to collapse lifeless on the stairs he had guarded, blood with trails of black dripping from his open mouth.
Lorathin’s body reformed, his expression smug as he examined his handy work.
He hissed in pain as his right arm suddenly began to burn. He glanced to where a large wet spot stained the fabric of his cloak before turning his attention to the young man who had tossed Holy Water at him, the other two remaining guards readying to strike with their weapons.
With a snarl, he pulled off the cloak, sunk into a black mass in the ground, and shot toward the young guard.
The guard scarcely had time to scream as his body fell into the inky hole beneath him, his spear and any other holy equipment he had possessed clattering to the ground, casting away portions of the darkness as they made contact before the blackness disappeared.
Lorathin’s menacing laughter rang through the aphotic void in which the boy stood, the only light emanating from Lorathin’s red glowing eye socket. The demon watched as the exorcist turned, his eyes blind in the darkness.
“I can smell your fear,” he taunted as the boy reached to grasp the cross that had hung around his neck only a moment before. “I’m looking for someone,” he continued, scratching at the still stinging skin of his arm, a few strips of flesh tearing away. “She goes by the name Penelope Kingston. Where might I find her?”
Lorathin turned his gaze from the young guard, letting the darkness be the only sight the man saw, the image of his thoughts flashing before Lorathin’s eyes. The face of Penelope—of Carissa—followed by a quaint apartment building and the street upon which it sat.
“I’ll never tell you that, you—” the young man began, his soft words filled with hatred and terror.
“You already did,” Lorathin interrupted smugly, approaching the man and holding him still as he slipped his bony hand across the man’s throat. A dark mist visible only to Lorathin’s eyes seeped through the man’s skin, the sound of him trying to breathe through his now deteriorating lungs bringing a wicked grin to Lorathin’s face.
“Thanks for your assistance,” he concluded, commanding more of his mist to flow through the man. He felt the stinging in his arm fade and his nose straighten as the man collapsed to the dark ground.
“And that,” he said with a smirk, “is the fate that befalls corrupt ‘holy men.’”
He ordered his darkness to return the young man to 325 E. Dawnway before appearing outside the apartments to await Agrona and Kirin’s arrival, his senses ever weary as he hid himself from any passersby.

As the two women charge her Willow kicks off from the ground, twisting she covered her left leg in thick shadows and spun, her leg acted as a slope, changing the course of the balls of light at the fire wielding women behind her. As she came back down she used the same leg to aim a spinning kick to the women who had thrown the light balls.
(I am so so so sooo sorry for my absence, I am afraid I can not give further details on the reason why but please understand they were beyond my control. and sorry for the bad post, still haven't got a lot of time.)

Loki lifted a now sleeping Jarod and carried him closer to the center of the library until she found a comfortable-looking chair. She placed him in it and retrieved their bags before sitting next to him. "They'll come soon enough," she said aloud to herself, her hand stroking Jarod's hair.

Plushy Plushy seen Vanessa shoot the balls at the nice and neat looking lady the LORD also uses. Even as the light balls are swung back at her by the shadows, this was unacceptable. Plushy had to stop this, the neat looking lady had much work to do.
Well enough. said the glowing silver dragon (Saiirin), Plushy let her fly away, he had to stop Vanessa from interfereing with the neat looking ladys work.
"No Vanessa! Leave the perty neat looking lady alone! She has much work to do and is very busy! You must not interfere with the neat looking ladys work!"
Plushy walked over to the neat looking lady, as if he meet to put himself between the two to stop the fighting, and he would if Vanessa didn't listen.((thats ok, thanks for posting))

((It is fine. I just like knowing when an extended absence is going to happen. I know that life happens and things often spin from your grasp or you get busy. Real life takes priority over something insignificant like a roleplay. I hope that everything is okay on your end of things!)) Karinda dodged the redirected balls of light with ease as Saiirin flew to Karinda’s side.
What hath commenced since my absence? the dragon inquired, rolling as one of the orbs of light nearly collided with her.
Plenty, Karinda answered simply, her eyes never leaving Willow.
Raising her still flaming sword, Karinda dove toward the dark woman with Saiirin at her heels, the dragon’s claws and teeth bared as Willow turned a spinning kick upon Vanessa. Her sword moved to swipe the woman as she blew past, her body angled to move quickly by.
Vanessa jumped back and ducked so she was just out of Willow’s range. Within the span of the same action, she swung the blade of her scythe at Willow’s supporting leg, sparing Plushy only a glance as he moved as if ready to somehow put a wedge between her and the other woman. “When her work’s to endanger my town,” Vanessa said hurriedly, “I’m staying to defend it for as long as I need to!”
__________
Rodger entered the library, a cheerful tune vibrating from his lips, a large brown paper bag held in one of his arms. Catching sight of the vacant front desk, his eyebrows furrowed.
“Vanessa?” he called, placing the bag on top of the only cleared space of the desk. Receiving no reply, he reached into the bag and pried a banana from one of the many bunches inside.
Rodger turned and made his way deeper into the library in search of Vanessa as he peeled the banana and took a bite.
As he passed one of the many bookcases, the sight of a young lady and small sleeping boy sitting within an armchair caught his eye. Quickly swallowing the piece of the banana, he approached the woman.
“Good afternoon,” he said just loud enough for her to hear, a smile spreading over his face. “I don’t suppose you’ve seen Vanessa, the librarian, have you?”

(They will be soon enough, just with I had less hours at work right now, I really don't need the extra stress but need the money, oh well, also I hope you don't mind but for this fight willow may seem a bit god-mody simply because you are not meant to win this fight, its sort of like just to introduce her somewhat ,but you'll beat her eventually, depending on how the story goes of course)) As she landed there was a crash that sent a cloud of dust into the air from the rubble. When it cleared Willow came into sight standing on Karindas blade, perfectly still and not seeming to weigh the blade down at all. without a second thought black veins shot across the blade covering its wielder and pinning her in position, at the same time large black arms flung themselves from the ground and proceeded to punch repeatedly at Vanessa. "Well, it-" A strange beeping sound interrupted her, reaching into her cleavage she retrieved a small orb covered in runes. It glowed faintly in her hands and a voice, a camp sounding young boys, emitted from it "Heelloo Darling, ready for that good news you wanted are you? It took foreever to find you know" unlike herself, the man had a surprisingly cheery disposition, not the type of person you would imagine Willow contacting. "I take it you were interrupted?"She didn't make it sound like a question. "Nothing I can't handle darling don't go worrying about little old me now, besides" you could just about hear him flicking through papers "Looks like you've been stirring up trouble again, need some muscle?" "No, just a few meaningless grunts" "Good good, well have a blast sweetums, Treyo out" with a small blip the orb stopped glowing and was shoved back in its holding place. "Sorry about that, where were we?"

Plushy Plushy answered the pretty neat looking lady (willow) "Back to work! You is much to busy to be playing with humans. You let Plushy deal with them."
Plushy turned to Vanessa, and said "And you stop attacking the pretty neat looking lady! You don't understant her work, this town is not her problem, it is you interfereing with her job."
Plushy swung his tail around, and moved Vanessa out of the punched shadows way. He keept his tail infront of Vanessa, and blocked her from doing attacks to the neat looking lady.

((Rikku, I hope your situation improves really soon! Stress is never fun, especially if it's the extra kind.))
As the sound of another person entering the library reached her ears, Loki prepared herself to once again explain that no, the librarian was not present, and no, she could not check any books out to anyone. She heard the sound of rustling paper, then his footsteps as he came near. As soon as he was within her sight, she observed him. Thankfully, he seemed to have noticed the sleeping Jarod by her side and did not speak too loudly.
"She was here earlier," Loki began. He seemed like a nice enough person, but one could never be too careful. "But I'm afraid she's gone now. I'm not sure where she went off to." Loki looked down at the now stirring Jarod, then back up at the man in front of her. "I'm not sure when she'll be back, either. I don't work with her-we're just waiting until she returns-so if you're here for books I can't really help you out, unless you want to leave her a note. I don't think she would mind."
Jarod began to wake soon after the man's whistled tune traveled through the still air in the library, but was not motivated to end his nap until he heard a voice other than his mother's. That, and the smell of food had reached his nose. By the time his mother was done speaking he had sat up and was greeted by the sight of yet another stranger. Jarod couldn't help but notice that the man's hair was white, whiter than even his own (when he was physically being himself, anyway). And it wasn't even because of his age. He didn't look very old to Jarod. By this time, both he and his mother were wondering if this man was involved with the others who had been in the library, and if he was something not human. He also couldn't help but wonder if he had a banana to share.

Kirin smirked a bit as Agrona seemed entertained by his deception of Lorathin. She definitely seemed to approve. "they certainly aren't my exorcists by any means. They are a bunch of racist bigots who I only allow to stay here because they only harass those who come within their bounds." he explained. Obviously having no love for them, less so than Agrona had for Lorathin. When she brought up him underestimating Lorathin Kirin raised a brow. "I see, well no matter. If it comes to it I'll burn his flesh away until his soul has no where to reside" he said, obviously not about to accept that he was wrong to consider Lorathin beneath him, his pride was to great to acknowledge something so vulgar and hideous as anything close to a threat. They arrived to find Lorathin waiting at the apartments, ahead of them by a few seconds. "speak of the devil, you seem to have had fun" he commented, a bit surprised that he had dispatched the Dawn Trotters, but given the general lack of shouting and the sounds of a commotion, it was safe to say he didn't fight their full forces.

((Sooo sorry, guys! I started college this week and the workload is CRAZY. I have not had too much time to get online lately, so extended absences should probably be expected…)) Before Karinda could move her blade from beneath Willow’s weightless form, she gasped as veins of black spread down the sword and covered her, rendering her motionless.
Vanessa dodged the many large, dark fists spewing from the ground, her quick movements elegant even in their urgency. Her eyes narrowed as Plushy moved his tail in front of her, her gaze falling to the frozen Karinda.
After glancing to Plushy, she turned her head toward Willow.
“You were about to leave,” Vanessa growled, placing one of the ends of her scythe against the ground.__________________________________________________ Rodger smiled as the woman finished speaking. “Actually,” he began as the young boy sat up, “she hates it when someone just leaves a note. It doesn’t get logged in the system that the book’s been checked-out.” Rodger transferred the banana from his right hand to his left before offering his hand to the girl. “I’m Rodger, Vanessa’s brother. We run the library together.” Noticing the boy eyeing his banana, he glanced to the fruit before looking to the boy. “There’s more on the desk if you want one. I could go grab one for you,” he offered. __________________________________________________ “And clearly,” Agrona began after Kirin finished his explanation, “you have found ways to use them to your advantage. Well done.”
"I see, well no matter. If it comes to it I'll burn his flesh away until his soul has no where to reside"
Agrona smirked. “I’d like to be there to see that day.”
As they neared the apartments, the sight of Lorathin lurking within the shadows greeted them. As soon as he caught sight of Kirin, his empty eye socket turned red once again.
Lorathin snorted as Kirin spoke to him.
“I can’t say the same for a few of the residents of Dawnway,” he said with a sneer. “Though, I suppose I should be thanking you; my nose is in better shape now than it has been in years.”

Kirin merely shrugged, a soft smirk tugging at his lips, surprisingly modest when in Agrona's presence. "think nothing of it, after all one is not a genius for realizing that you can kill a mouse by telling it there is cheese in a lion's den" he said. Kirin raised a brow as Lorathin's eyes began to glow. "my my I was wondering where the light bulbs in your head were, you jammed them into your eyes instead" he mocked, turning to the door as Lorathin spoke, completely ignoring him. "anyways this is the place Agrona, I'm not exactly privy to her schedule, but its best to assume she's home" he said, approaching the door and knocking.

Plushy “You were about to leave,” Vanessa said. "Ah yes, thank you sweetheart, shall we monsieur plushy?" said the neat looking lady.
"Your welcome." answered Plushy, "but no, your work is not Plushy work, and Plushy work is not your work, we should part ways to prevent interfereance, as both our works need doing and both our task are differant."
Plushy poked the shadowed Karinda with his tail to see if she was ok. "See, Plushy has to work with this lady you shadowed, and you have other tasks to be tending to, it only best we part and go our separate ways. You are a pretty neat looking lady, maybe we could meet again, at a later time, when our work is done, but not now, we is much to busy now. Good bye neat looking lady." Plushy said. He had to wait for Willow to leave, as his work was frozen in a shadow beneath her.

"How wrong you are" she walked almost casually along the blade until she bent down face to face with Karinda,"until next time little one" caressing the girls check and kissing her gently on the lips. As she unbent herself a small image, almost like a black butterfly faded into view on Karinda's cheek. "Ta-ta" with a flash of black Willow was gone, along with the shadows holding Karinda in place.
