XXXXXThe twins blinked at the girl's words and let their shoulders drop. Harem? King? Had roy become king in the time they'd been away? There was so much they didn't know about him now. So much had changed. And yet, as he turned to them and asked to see their wounds, they found he was still that handsome knight in shining armor they'd fallen for. And even if they wanted to run away and hide their wounds, when he looked at them like that, there was no way they could deny him.

XXXXXLooking at him with a sigh, Carnation swallowed what pride she still had and shook her head as she rolled up her pant leg to show him the metal brace holding her leg in place and the slightly reddened bandages underneath it. "It's a bit of a rough patch, but that's the best you can expect on the battlefield...." she mumbled, leaning against her twin.

XXXXX"So, you're a king now?" Daisy asked, running the hand not tied against her body through her pixie cut. "You were just leaving with that knight when our projections last saw you...." she mumbled, wrapping her good arm around her sister and rubbing at her shoulder in a comforting manner. It still hurt, knowing he'd found someone else, but at least they could talk to him again.

XXXXXWincing as he began undoing the bandages, Carnation held her sister's hand tightly. Underneath the cotton wrapping and iron brace were a series of stitch marks that ran up her leg to her thigh in a nearly perfect zigzag pattern, several seemed to have popped open and were sewing themselves back shut. "I-it hurts... t-the air h-hurts...." she whimpered, clinging to Daisy tightly.

Petting her sister with her good hand, the light elemental gave a pout as she listened to Roy. Smiling at seeing him so proud, she hummed softly. "En.... It's a good name. But you'll always be Roy to us." she purred, blinking at her sister. "It'll be alright, just remember to hold it in." she purred, kissing the top of the pinkette's head. She didn't even seem to remember her arm still pressed against her chest, completely useless as it was.

XXXXX"Escape? No... We didn't escape. Our sisters were the ones who got free. Rose and Lilly, their daughters, even Iris and her siblings. And while they were fighting the war, Eris spent her time finding new ways to rip us apart and watch us pull ourselves together. She pushed us past our healing abilities, leaving us unable to repair what she'd done." Daisy breathed, finally looking at her useless arm in it's sling. "She kept us in a room with no light, or air, or sound.... Just us and the crystal she used to zap away our powers."

XXXXX"By the time our family got to us, most of the fighting was over. All that was left was to be rid of our mother. It was hard, battling against her... but Lavender and Coco managed to do most of the work, with the help of daddy. Using her own trick against her, we managed to split her apart into several pieces. Now each elemental carries a bit of Chaotic power inside them." Carnation murmured, rubbing at a part of her hair that was blood red like her mother's. Glancing to her twin, she placed her braced fingers on the blonde's cheek. So much bad had happened in the last two years, it was hard to deal with it all. Beyond their physical tortures, Eris had taken it upon herself to beat the prideful light out of her sister, breaking her mentally in ways neither twin had ever thought possible.

XXXXX "Don't be. We were taken to a whole other world. Someplace we should have told you about a long time ago, but never got a chance to..." Carnation mumbled, looking at him with soft eyes. "y'know, we broke up with you so that you wouldn't feel obligated to search for us. We didn't want you to get caught up on us, even if it hurt us to do so. Knowing you might have a chance at a life when we might not was what really kept us going."

XXXXX"In a way, though, I'm glad we never told you about our home. I can't imagine what we would've done if mother had gotten her hands on you...." Daisy hummed, helping Carnation up from the chair with her good arm, the duo only wobbling slightly. turning to him, she painstakingly pulled her other arm out of it's sling to turn his face towards them, ignoring the pain it shot up through her shoulder. "don't blame yourself for what happened to us. It was going to happen one way or another. We knew it would happen eventually, and we're glad that we could keep you safe and away from the dangers that woman posed." she hummed, pulling her shaking hand back into it's sling.

XXXXX The twins glanced from him to each other, Daisy biting her lip as she held onto Carnation's hand tighter. Looking back at him, the blonde twin let out a soft sigh and shook her head. "We haven't seen anyone else yet... We came back so we could pick up our stuff, but we don't know where it's been moved to since the dorms were cleaned out. Eventually we'll have to talk to Kiyaka about it, but first we're going to try and recover a bit more," she explained, the tiredness in her eyes suddenly more evident.


XXXXX "It would be nice, though, to catch up with everyone. I know Rose and Lilly took their daughters home, and Iris is somewhere on campus with her siblings," Carnation mumbled, tucking a pink curl behind a pointed ear. "What about you? Have you seen anyone from school here, besides Erik?" she asked, settling against her sister with her head on Daisy's shoulder.

XXXXX "It's been three years since you graduated, Roy. We were taken away before we could do that." Carnation said tiredly, leaning more against her sister. "That's part of the reason we came back, actually," she breathed, tugging her hair up out of her face and into a rather lopsided ponytail that hung off the right of her head. Without her hair to cover it, a series of tattoo-like swirling markings could be seen decorating the nape of her neck.

XXXXX"It was good to see you,Roy. And thanks for letting us stay here, we'll try not to impose," Daisy mumbled, smiling softly at him as she brushed her hand through her sister's hair. They hadn't gotten any rest since they'd gotten back, and it was starting to settle in on their faces, their smiles starting to become worn and their eyelids drooping as they tried to usher him out after his g- his friend. She was still important to him, after all.
