((Shits and giggles. lol what a friendly spirit...))

"The voices are getting louder again. It's been years since I went without my meds for this long Adrian..." Amaya murmured, curling up even tighter now.

"Just focus on me, Amaya. Just focus on my voice and ignore the rest." Adrian told her. "I helped you through withdrawl once before, I can do it again."

"This isn't just withdrawal Adrian...this is years and years of my illness being suppressed and now rearing up all at once..." She groaned.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 26, 2012 4:03 pm

"You're not crazy, Amaya." Adrian told her calmly. "I don't care what you're diagnosed with, you're not crazy. Just focus on my voice and block out all the rest. Think about Cali and Riley, who are waiting for us to get out of here. You can't give in to your illness now."

"I don't think she has any choice in the matter." Seth laughed as he walked in. "I already control your powers. Both of you. And she'll deteriorate faster than you. So when that happens, I can start the next phase of my plan." He said as he knelt down in front of Adrian.

Unable to do much else, Adrian spat in Seth's face in defiance. "You've got us in chains and have neutralized our powers. Isn't mentally tormenting her a little excessive? And if you do push her to a mental break, you really think you're going to be able to control her?"

((I just want to apologize for not posting, nor saying this sooner, but while I'm at school (Jan thru March, July thru Sept), the weekends are generally the time I cannot post. Just a heads up.))

The sun was setting, and Roran still had some things to do at home. Whistling, Zorlund and Jezzy came running. "Come on, it's time to head home. I don't like being out at night these days. Too much tension in the air for his liking. Unfortunately, he would be making half his walk in the dark.

The street lamps illuminated, his footsteps being the only audible sound besides the soft padding of his dogs' paws. Otherwise silent, a soft breeze was flowing around him, his hair ruftling. The dogs were a few yards ahead of him, sniffing around as dogs usually do. The soft smell of roast was in the air. Roran couldn't see the stars from the light pollution, but there were lights shining through the windows of multiple apartment buildings.

His dogs stopped instantaneously and together. Looking in the same direction, their snouts in the air, a soft growl being emitted from them both. Roran shifted to hide behind a bin, controlling his dogs' vocal chords to keep them silent. Peering around the edge of the bin, two mutates were there, ugly and large, ripping the flesh off a now deceased individual. Getting his dogs around to him, he tried to control his breathing.

What the hell am I supposed to do? Barging in on them would be bad, they've got claws and teeth and God knows what else. I can't compare to that! But going through the alleys is potentially more dangerous. Hell, I'm surprised these two are willing to be out in the open, especially when feeding on human. Oh God. Keeping his gag reflex under control, Roran stood up. Swallowing, he dared not open his mouth from fear of breathing too loudly. Taking a few silent steps, his dogs were still under his control behind the bin.

It was then that the terrible happened. Lifting his foot in silence, when he brought it down, a lost rock was caught between the tip of his shoe and the ground, being shot out and clattering against the ground. His eyes shot straight over to the mutates, and he painfully watched as they turned to see him. Cursing under his breath, the mutates moved towards him.

"Hah hah hah heh," wheezed the larger one. He had a jagged rock emerging from his right shoulder, his entire right arm made of stone, as well as some of his topless chest. "Looks like we're being smiled upon tonight; A feast!"

"Mmmmm, he looks scrawny though," hissed the other, fangs the size of a hand emerging from his mouth, blood dripping from them. "I bet his blood tastes good though." This mutate wasn't anywhere near as large as the other, but he was muscular, white hair flowing over his black clothing and dark skin.

Roran took off running, his mind only focusing on escaping at this point. Not bothering to look back, the slight breeze was now whipping his face, his hair flying wildly.

The smaller mutate then disappeared with a poof, reappearing ten yards in front of Roran, standing calmly. "Running is useless, my friend." He jumped at Roran, arms open for a tackle.

Roran dodged, pushing himself to run faster. That's when the ground began to shake. Turning to look back, the large mutate was barreling toward him, each step pounding the ground, the pavement underneath imploding beneath the might of his foot. Roran cursed aloud this time, looking ahead of him again as the smaller mutate disappeared once more, reappearing next to Roran but a few feet away. This time, however, the mutate was disappearing and reappearing instantly, every few feet. Roran knew what was going on. The mutate was getting a feel for Roran's travel patterns, just as predators that hunt in packs often do. The ability to teleport, though, allowed this mutate to do it all on his own, though.

Just as Roran realized this was happening, the mutate appeared in front of him with some forward momentum, crashing into Roran's body, both of them falling to the ground. Roran jumped up, standing his ground now, though, looking at the big brute as he slowed his running about twenty yards in front of Roran, coming to a stop, the smaller mutate appearing at his side. "Leave me alone," Roran panted, the running having caught up with him now.

"We can't do that" the smaller one hissed. "We've been killing in this town for some time now, but you've witnessed us. We need you dead too."

"I'm gonna crush you into dust," the larger one said.

Roran smirked, "You don't understand. You need to leave me alone." Roran began to breath normally, hands now clenched. "Messing with me will end your lives." Come to me.

"Hahaha!" The brute bellowed. "You think you can defeat us? A slim fellow such as you are!?"

"I don't want to kill you, but I will if I have to." Come to me!

"Ugh, I'm bored. Jones, kill him already." The small one ordered the large one.

"Be my pleasure, Max." The boulder of a mutate began stepping forward, laughing with each step. "I'm going to kill you now. If you really think you can save yourself, it would be really entertaining to see you try."

Roran stood still, eyes deadset on Jones. Hearing Max grunt, though, he shifted his gaze to see Jezzy jumping from Max's shoulder, knocking him to the ground, to Jones human shoulder, and attempting to puch him down as she jumped off, landing a few feet from Roran. Zorlund simultaneously jumped up onto the stone shoulder of jones, kicking off at the same time as Jezzy. Both dogs then ran behind Roran, who was smiling. He had given up on controlling them, they must have followed. The smile changed to a frown, though, when Max stood in a fit of fury, screaming, "Kill them!"

"Fine, then die." His arms shot up, sticking out with his hands open wide as mice began flooding out of the drains and dumpsters around them. The furry tidal wave crashed upon the two mutates, their bodies not recognizable as the mice covered their bodies, eating them alive. Screams filled the night as Roran stood and watched, his face expressionless. Max began flailing around, trying to get the mice off, the pain restricting him from teleporting, too much to handle as his mice covered body fell to the ground, writhing in pain. Jones, on the other hand, bashed his stone hand on the ground, shooting boulders from his hand when it was in the air. Eventually he hit the ground too.

A few minutes later, nothing was left of the two mutates. No flesh, no bone, no blood, no sound. The mice retreated to their homes after they were done. With the last of them gone, Roran was surrounded by total silence, the breeze softly coming into contact with his body. Staring at the location where Jones had fallen, his eyes were cold. Hearing Zorlund, he didn't turn, only spoke softly. "I warned them, I really did." Clenching his fists, he turned, beginning to walk home, his dogs now a few yards behind him.

Grinning, Seth slapped Adrian hard and stood up, wiping his face as he looked down at the man. "Someone who is already used to giving into the voices is much easier to control than a regular person. So yes. If that idiot Carl Northman was able to control her, then I should have no trouble at all." He told Adrian.

"That was different. You're no Sikes and she's not the same as she was in the arena." Adrian said ignoring the stinging in his cheek. "When you play with fire, you're going to get burned. I may not have my powers, but these chains are the only things keeping my claws from tearing you to shreds." Like he was in any position to talk big. But words were all he had at the moment. It was either put on an act or let the guy walk all over him. And Amaya could certainly use any hope she could get.

"Scary." Seth laughed, shaking his head. "Too bad I'm not concerned about your claws. She's losing. And then she'll become mine to control. Will you readily abandon her?" He asked, looking to Amaya, who was now whispering to herself. With the stress of the day and being without her drugs, she was starting to lose quickly.

"Stay with me Amaya!" Adrian called over to her. "You can't give up on me now!"
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 3:50 am

Amaya flinched and looked over to Adrian. She looked scared. The woman was shaking as she kept whispering to herself, her right arm twitching as it started to take its normal form when she was in her monster form, spikes shooting out from the arm as she kept whispering.

"Amaya! Listen to me!" Running out of options, Adrian tried singing to calm her down. It worked for the baby, and it worked for Amaya way back in the arena.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:17 am

Tears began streaming down Amaya's face as she looked at Adrian. All the voices all at once was driving her crazy as she began to rock back and forth, trying to drown out the sounds. "I'm sorry...I can't...I can't...just stop...please stop...go away...stop talking....STOP TALKING!" She whispered to herself, now staring at the floor again as her right hand tightened its grip on her head, blood trickling down the side of her face now as she kept whispering. "Stop talking! I don't want to....just go away..."

"You can control her powers, do you really need her to lose her mind too?!" Adrian snapped at Seth. He hated seeing Amaya in this state and he hated the one doing this to her even more.
