Yumiko smiled, only to wince slightly at the squeal. "O-ok! Jeez do you have to squeal so much?..." she asked, rubbing one ear. Told you... Shut up...

"N-no!..." Chi turned slightly in his lap, just enough so she could wrap her arms around him and bury her face into his chest. "P-please... I-i don't want you to get hurt... I-i... I forbid yo-ou to use Tsukuyomi... Y-you're blind enough as it is..."

"I hope so. You're a Jonin now... Besides, Juunibi has sensitive hearing," Yumiko said, still rubbing her ear. With a sigh, once the ringing was gone, she crossed her arms and turned to the Hokage again. "So, Sukiru-sama... Any new information on Taka? Did anyone talk to Vale yet, maybe about Taka's next move?"

Yumiko locked her jaw, gritting her teeth without actually showing it. "We need to prepare for Jugo's attack, as well as remain cautious of any secondary attack that even Vale might not know about. Taka might be smarter than they appear, meaning if they suspect Vale turned against them, then they need a back up plan..." 'Heh... I guess even I might get a turn tomorrow...' Juunibi smirked in the ANBU's thoughts. Yumiko didn't pay attention to her beast for now, focusing solely on the task at hand.

"Pr-promise me... you won't use Tsukuyomi..." Chi said softly, looking up at Vale. She kept her arms around his torso in the hug, refusing to let him go, but she didn't want him to lose his sight all together. The only exception might be against Sasuke himself, but that issue would be solved later.

Yumiko couldn't help it. She narrowed her eyes at the Hokage, only to glance off to the side with her hands clenched into fists. "F-fine... If he proves himself tomorrow against whoever shows up at our gates, then I'll consider trusting him as you do, Sukiru-sama. But for now, I won't be swayed in my decision. The village comes first. The Uchiha comes second..."

"Thank you..." Chi kissed him lightly before resting her head on his chest again, loosening her hold into a more relaxed embrace. She shut her eyes and was silent. Then her breathing deepened as she started to drift into a light sleep.

Sukiru sighed softly before glancing over at Shijura. "I know Yumiko's thoughts on the Uchiha, but as a Jounin, you're now allowed to voice your full opinion. What do you think of Vale?"

Vale lightly kissed the top of Chi's head before laying her down on the bed, covering her up with a blanket. He walked over to the window, opening it enough that he could slip out, and did so, closing it behind him. He watched in for a moment before jumped down to the ground, quietly moving his way to the village's entrance. Using the cover of night, he went out of the gates slightly, looking over the landscape. Finding a few patches that seemed like a reasonable trapping area, he quickly went about setting up trip wires, connecting them to kunai with explosive tags. After about thirty minutes work he stood, wiping his brow and walked back into the gates of Konohagakure. Turning around after a few feet he watched out the gate, unmoving.

Chi slept soundly for the thirty minutes that Vale was gone, and even a little longer. She hadn't slept much as of lately, and it was only time before she woke up. She sat up, realizing that there was a cover over her and she was alone in the hospital room. "V-vale?..." Chi was quick to get to her feet, forcing herself to remain calm as she left the room to talk to one of the other medical-nin. Seeing that no one saw him, he may have left through the window. She couldn't ask around if someone saw him since most of the village probably hated him anyways, but it didn't take too long to track him down at the village gates. "You know, you could have left a note or something..." Chi said calmly, stopping by Vale's side.

Yumiko dipped her head respectively. "Hai." With that, she merely glanced over at Shijura and nodded, then left the office. She waited outside the building for the Jounin, her thoughts wandering at the current moment.

Chi nodded, not questioning his actions. "Seems fair enough..." She went silent, only to sigh. She pulled out a small journal, Kimimaro's journal that she had gotten while at the hideout. "He said that Jugo was like his only friend... I'm not afraid to fight, but I'd rather try and talk to Jugo first before having to deal with the bloodshed..."
