Marcel watched as Eli got out of the way when the steam formed from the fire. He thought to sigh some from the water hitting Pyro, but he had to think of his next plans next. He looked over at the fountain and then thought about drawing water from his own body. He was relieved slightly when Eli said something and immediately had began to move the pipes that ran the water to the fountain, at that point, he moved out the way as instructed. He watched as the water began to spew everywhere. "Thanks..." He said slightly loud. He hoped he heard it and wasn't the type to try and ask him what he said. That would kind of distract them some. He looked to see Pyro up once again with a fireball in his hand once more. He couldn't have drawn them from his pipes or tank because they were still wet. He quickly glanced to see another person. A mutant with lava capabilities. He then began to think of the sudden change and then thought about the pipes. He could work that to his advantage, but he would have to need Railgun's help. He did say he would move to the support role for now.

Before he began to say anything, of course Pyro threw the fireball, it beginning to increase in size as it made his way towards Marcel. Marcel brought the water up near him to block the fire. The next move was made by the lava mutant. Fire came towards him. He brought his right hand over to move the water to block him again, but he was off a little as some of the fire hit him slightly on his side. He yelped a little as Pyro chuckled some, drawing in fire some more around his hands. Round one was his for now. He looked at Eli and got up from the small burn.
"It's Railgun right? Anyway, I need you to move the pipes and center them around us all." He began to draw in some more water around his hand as he tossed them at them both to get them to bag back some. Another distraction simply because he still wasn't used to using his arms separately to move water. He had to use both hands to control it more effectively. While they were distracted by the water, he followed up on it once more, using the water to hit the lava mutant and quickly turning to use the water once more to bag Pyro away once more as he began to shoot fire at him once again. Steam from both sides once more. If everything went right with the pipes, Marcel would be able to cause another amount of water to fall once again on them all. It was a risk that he was positive he could move the water out of the way from it hitting him and Eli. It wouldn't be a lot, but in the end Pyro would probably be soaking wet once more and the lava mutant wouldn't be able to escape from the water, and his skin would probably harden up, not to mention the area he had just hit him with was hardening up from the water.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✖ Allegra ✖ Alpha ✖ Telekinetic ✖ Mall

User Image Tsukino came up behind them, offering up her force fields, and Aurelie nodded... letting hers down for a moment to get some rest. “Careful... they've been banging at mine pretty hard... and if you're anything like me... if it bursts while you're using them it'll land you in the infirmary.” She said, not wanting her teammate to ascertain any harm while trying to keep them safe.

Leo told them to tail the rest of the group, and Aurelie nodded in confirmation. It was likely, Tsukino and herself would be working a lot together in the future, considering the similar effects they had mutation wise. A part of her was regretful that she'd not taken the Asian girl up on her offer to do a simulation. “Veritas... we'll hold them off with shields – lets get going/” She said, echoing what the animal mimic had already said. Sacrificing himself for the group? She didn't care what mutant ability he had – she wouldn't leave him behind. Not when he was a team member. Not when she felt responsible for this mess. All of it... had been her fault because she'd been too nervous to hang out with the whole team at once... and she'd convinced Leo to take her to the mall. And therein they'd decided to help a kid being bullied. Granted, the pair had been duped – Mystique had played the game well. But it didn't help the telekinetic from feeling guilty all the same.

But Leo grabbed her – a much faster plan than having Aurelie levitate Bella into the safety of the shield. Obviously, right now wasn't a time to stand here, when they should be high-tailing their asses out of the mall. “He's got her. Let's get out of here.” The blond said, motioning for them to follow the impromptu leader. But just as she said that... Opaque's voice sounded through the comm. s**t.

Bomb. Had she heard it correctly? Bomb... as in something similar to what happened to Hiroshima? Aurelie grimaced, jaw clenching. This day was going from bad to worse... and it'd started to even out so nicely before... “On it, Renaissance Man” He really needed a shorter codename. Blue eyes slid to Tsukino, and she gave a wary smile. “I figure... we can send it hovering... between the two of our shields, we should be able to contain the explosion, with minimal damage to ourselves.” She'd leave it out that her telekinetic shields had lost a lot of power. It'd be enough, of that she was sure. The headache after – would be a price well worth paying, if it saved those in the mall from dying in the aftermath of a bomb.

Opaque,” Aurelie said, raising her wrist comm to her mouth. “Moonlight and I are coming, but we need what part of the mall you're at – stat.

Raine appeared at her side then, and Aurelie gave a nod. “Fancy indeed. Though I wish we were just spending the day shopping.” The telekinetic said wryly. “It'll need to be timed perfectly – your detonation and Moonlight and I's shields going up just as the spark hits it.” It'd be close – a little too close for Aurelie's liking, but it was the best option they had. “As soon as Opaque gives us the location, we can get started.” And hope against hope... that they'd be able to pull off an impromptu bomb detonation without killing anyone.

Aurelie raised her wrist again, sending out a mass transmission to anyone who might be in the mall. “Get yourselves out of here. You've probably less than five minutes.” For safety purposes, they needed to retreat, so as to not be exposed in case things went wrong. “Get everyone out that you can.” How was it that her voice wasn't shaky, when the nerve synapses in her body were on fire with fear?

A meek and quiet response answered almost as if the voice was afraid of what would happen were she to be overheard which she probably was. "Uh I am not sure exactly. I think we are in a Aeropostale store. Maybe. Sorry I can't say for sure. He is nearby so uh bye..."

        Who was nearby?

A frown mottled her dainty features, as she guessed just who might be bothering their teammate. “To the Aeropostle store we go.” Aurelie directed, heading the small group the way she would have if she were still with the Corsairs.

Once there, assuming the entourage had followed, Aurelie barked out to Toad, drawing up a telekinetic shield out of reflex around the small group of girls. (Though she didn't actually look to see if they were there.) “Heard you were looking for a date.” She said, hands on her hip, eyebrow raising high on her forehead. “I've brought three to choose from.

A tongue flicked out, hitting the shield in a way that Aurelie failed not to shudder. “Hey! I thought you said 'date.' Which involves touching. Drop your shield, I'll hold you for a while, sweetums. Considering you're boyfriend isn't here.” He said, coming into the light. His pride was bruised from the dark b***h, but he wouldn't complain when there were more girls to try his luck with.

Tell you what, hand us the bomb and it's a deal.” Her eyes fell to Raine then, silently issuing the order to blast the frog-legged freak as soon as the bomb was exposed. Tsukino could put up another shield, and Aurelie would bring the bomb into the air, until they were ready to detonate it – when Toad was out of the way.

Team: Alphas
Of hardships and un-shiny moments
*EDITED DUE TO BLONDENESS*
One month ago

Hoshi stared at the shiny white speckles that were seriously out of place in the dark world of the Tim Burton special the teams now occupied. Leaning forward to get a better look, Hoshi yelped as she floated off the porch in her ghostly form and floated uncontrollably into the sky. For several minutes, she panicked that she'd go straight through the atmosphere- then she floated half way through a cloud. It was with some annoyance that Hoshi watched her friends and teammates figure out how to escape the freaky world entered unintionally, and then everything suddenly went blank.

Three weeks ago
Hoshi tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and waited for Mr. Summers to call her into his office. "You can come in Hoshi." His voice made her jump momentarily before she entered the office. Once inside, she hesitated. Hoshi had assumed she'd been called in to the office to discuss what had happened to her in the Tim Burton world-which she'd since learned was the mind of a student- but Mr. Summers face bore a wearily grim look. She was under the impression that if she could see his eyes that they'd be filled with sympathy. "Hoshi, I'm very sorry about this, but you need to go home for awhile. Your family was on their way home from the movies when they were hit by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, your grandmother was killed instantly, though everyone else is fine. Your mom called and asked that you come home to help with the funeral arrangements and such. I'll have someone take you to the airport in a hour." he said kindly as her eyes filled with tears. Hoshi didn't know what she was going to do without grandma Ash.

Present day

Hoshi hitched her shoulder bag higher with an exhausted sigh. She absolutely hated flying commercial. The x-jet was one thing- she could turn into a dragon and soak in a sun beam. She couldn't do that here, and it drove her absolutely mad. Not that seeing people freaking out over a dragon wouldn't be funny, but it would cause the x-men more problems than they already had. Thanks to the psycho who'd kidnapped the omega's student leader, the government was seriously considering the registration act. Again. Hoshi was deeply afraid that if that bill did go through, she'd be locked away in some dark dungeon- dragons had notoriously infamous reputations. Having come back from Ireland two days earlier than expected, no one was waiting for her at the gate and given the tension in the airport, Hoshi didn't think talking into her comm was a good idea. Fortunately, she had enough money to grab a cab back to the mansion grounds. Striding over to baggage claims, Hoshi gave a sigh of relief that she was almost back at her second home.

twenty minutes later she wasn't feeling so relieved- Somehow, her luggage had ended up on a flight to Latvia, and the airport told her there was little chance she'd ever see it again. Hoshi resisted the urge to growl and forced a pleasant smile on her face- it wasn't the TSA's fault that there'd been a mix up, and they got enough hell from everyone else. Thankfully, I’ve never spent much of the allowance that Mr. Summers gave me. Annoyed about losing that black dress just the same. She thought as she ordered the cabbie to take her to the mall.

Scouring the racks of Fredrick’s an hour later proved to be extremely therapeutic in relieving her of the stress of her flight and of the sadness she felt over her grandmother. She’d already been to Hot topic and a few other choice stores. Fredrick’s of Hollywood was a very adult centered store, but they had fantastic clothes. Hoshi had just paid for her things when screams filled the mall, making her scant training with x-men kick in. Ducking out of the store and way from glass, She crouched behind one of the bizarre statue things all malls seemed to possess. her fear of being caught shifting into her dragon form by the security cameras kept her from acting- at least, until her team leader was shot by the blue thing. Hoshi dropped her shopping bags and quickly went over to a group of girls who looked like they knew what they where doing-at least somewhat. Making sure to keep out of range of any attacks the enemies were using. "hey, I'm Seriyu. Where do you need me?" She asked the girl creating shields, making a face as Toad hit on another girl she didn't reconize. "Eeew." she added.

Time virtually froze for Christian the moment he jammed the pistol straight into the back of Mystique's skull. He did notice Eli handling Pyro... and someone else (Marcel) sneaking his own way into the fight and hitting the pyrokinetic with torrents of water coaxed from the nearby fountain. The blue-skinned woman's mocking tone of voice snapped time back into place for Christian, making him focus more on the task at hand. Balling his free hand into a fist, he let a dark blue energy encase it as he leveled his new 'weapon' straight in between Mystique's shoulder blades.

"Keep talkin' you damn snozberry," Christian said through clenched teeth, "Say another word and you'll sure as Hell find out." Though he was speaking rather forcefully and defiantly, Christian was starting to feel the tension of the situation to get to him; the feelings that Mystique was watching him out of the corner of her eye despite standing directly behind her didn't help matters. Just then, he felt the ground beneath him rumble, the marring of the mall's flooring causing him to lose his footing slightly. That coupled with feeling Siren's outstretched hand grasping at his coat's sleeve caused him to lurch forwards, instinctively clicking the safety on his weapon to the on position. As he fell, he managed to twist himself around, aiming his back towards the ground, but he only succeeded in slamming his shoulder into a jagged piece of dislodged marble. The shock of the hit knocking the wind from his lungs momentarily.

After sucking air for a couple seconds, Christian stood a few feet to the left of Siren and fixed his eyes directly on Mystique. "Siren," he said between heavy gasps of air still, "Are you..." He didn't get to finish the inquiry as he watched Mystique level her gun and begin to squeeze the trigger. Either out of fear of being shot first or knowing that he wasn't the intended target yet, he leveled his own gun and flicked the safety off just as quickly. He was too slow and Siren had taken a round in the shoulder. Not only that, Mystique had set her sights on Christian know. He had his own weapon leveled directly at the blue-skinned woman's left eye, fighting the urge to just squeeze the trigger, to just retaliate. Finally deciding to just do it, he was stopped when that b***h spoke up again and summoned five new members of the Brotherhood to the scene. From where he stood, he could get a good look at all five of the new enemies before his attentions were transfixed upon the two insect ladies bearing down upon his position. For what it was worth, Christian did adhere to the standard 'no-kill' policy, but hearing the Brotherhood's own orders to kill caused him to loosen his stance on that a tiny bit. Ignoring the pain that was coursing through his arm, he took a few steps forwards and fired a shot from his gun that sailed between the two insectoids heads. They only looked at him both with their cold, dead bug-eyes... which made Christian want to throw up on the spot.

His nerves were lessened a bit when he saw Digger arrive on the scene and immediately tend to the wounded Siren. He wondered how it was she'd gotten there without being seen, when he saw the shimmer of something, like the surrounding area around them was being distorted in one spot or was being reflected by a warped mirror. The distinct clicking sound of a weapon being locked into place told him that indeed someone was there. Christian could only surmise that it was his fellow Omega Chameleon. Feeling a bit of confidence swell back up in his chest, Christian dropped his gun to his side and spoke quickly. "Divide and conquer. What do you say, Chameleon?" There wasn't really much time to get an answer as he saw one of the bug ladies flap her wings twice and push herself off the ground and flew straight at him.

There were a lot of happenings going on that Christian was barely able to catch either briefly or out of the corners of his eye. Gideon was squaring off and challenging both the Wolfboy and the Irish Hulk when a women that was unknown to him (Katarina) joined him, shifting herself into a black panther. In one of his many dodging attempts, Christian saw that Leo had shown up to attend to Siren, giving the standing order to retreat... then immediately changed his tune. The arrival of three new Alpha faces to the party, one he instantly saw was Glitter, apparently shifted the odds slightly in their favor. Though the communication that piped through, about the bomb that was armed with only a five minute window to get the Hell out of Dodge wasn't lost upon him at all. That news, coupled with a cut he'd gotten on the back of his right shoulder from the last fly-by assault right pissed him off.

While turning to face his assailant, he saw Leo shuttling Siren away to safety. That was good, it gave Christian a slight chance. From where he was, even though he was doing what he could to get a bit of separation from the group, his friends were still in the line of fire and he was quite hesitant to take any sort of shot... all things considered. He did hear the orders that Leo was giving out at the time, though Christian didn't hear his name in the mix, causing him to pipe up. "I'm helpin' here. No questions asked."

With the people around the area he was engaged in beginning to filter out, Christian turned to face the insectoid that was buzzing around overhead. He saw her turning herself around, preparing for another fly-by, and charged up his right fist with a roiling, dark blue energy. That was when she struck. She swooped down at him, slashing at him with her bladed hands. He ducked and almost fired... when he saw that again more people were in his line of fire. Raine, the blonde (Aurelie) that was using some sort of shield to protect some of the Alphas that were caught up in this, plus another girl he didn't know (Tsukino) heading off to take care of the aforementioned bomb as ordered.

Christian lost sight on the insect momentarily while silently whispering a prayer to whatever god would hear him; the less collateral damage the better or so he thought. That was when the b***h got the drop on him, literally divebombing him as he was assessing more of the situation. To his credit, he did try to get out of the way but he still got hit. Two more slashes on his back, though not horribly deep, were there marking up his coat more and more. If anything, that piece of attire had character.

He knelt on the ground, feeling the blood flowing gently down his back and he turned his head to watch his enemy. She was starting to ascend high up, looking to make another strafing run it seemed. Choosing to ignore the pain, he stayed crouched to the ground and leveled his primed energy shot at the ascending insectoid. With a audible crackle of air and a dim blue flash, Christian let it rip, but didn't hit where he intended to. Instead of plugging the woman in the chest, he'd hit her on the right him, causing her to flutter to the ground in agony.

Taking the opportunity to finally stand tall, Christian did just that, taking care to roll the shoulder he slammed to the ground moments ago gingerly. With the brief respite, he was able to observe all the other fights raging around him, kind of soaking in the ambiance of the chaos. While he stood there, he did remember hearing Solaris' request that he kept her updated when things were safe. Things were relatively safe, at least at the moment. Messing with his comm, he again turned his head to where he saw the insectoid land and kept his eyes fixed while trying to find the right frequency. It only took a moment, but with the right one in place, he spoke up. "Solaris. We've got a situation here. Someone's set a bomb, but it's bein' handled as we speak," he said clearly and as concisely as he could knowing time was limited. "Plus it seems the Brotherhood's had a recruitin' drive."

Just as he said that, he saw the previously downed insectoid fly high into the air, rage evident on the woman's insect face. Letting his hand fall to his side, ceasing communications, he was clearly to keep this fight going. The only thing was that he was one energy blast away from being right out and that left him one option and one option alone in taking this annoying b***h down.

(OOC: Hope it's good. Sorry for the wait.)

xxxxxxxxxx ▬▬▬ O m e g a ' s SIZE Shifting Native______________

Danger roomxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

User Image

The size shifter was simultaneous distracted, amused, and annoyed by several things at once. Perhaps the event at the top of the list that made him grin was when Maddy followed suit in their friendly fire, and from a distance, he’d seen a flash of light as her gun went off. Aimed low at Roland. Had she seriously shot him? He was too far away to tell, but it didn’t stop the native from laughing at the prospect.

The merriment for him died out rather quickly though, mostly because somewhere along the way…It felt like some wires had gotten crossed. He heard over the comm, nigh simultaneously, Kerrigan alluding to the fact that they’d done something wrong, and Lillian outright telling them that ki'sómma was going lecture them until their ears bled. That killed his cheesing smile pretty quick, and let the mild annoyance previously mentioned.

Hadn’t this been a game? Or had he entirely missed the concept of what they were doing? He remembered it distinctly…Reading (aka... bouncing his head against the book in hopes of absorbing the information) a bunch of crap he didn’t care about for One-Eye’s class, and then the offer to go to the DR came. Narcissa had bossed them about, as per usual, and then he’d come down to the sub-levels, to hear they were going to play a game of mutant laser tag.

Laser tag, did not equate in his head as a serious mission or training program.

Besides… The one person he had to worry about hadn’t said anything yet. And until the Omega leader came down on him and gave him taste of the brutal temper he’d heard of, but had yet to see coming towards his person— He wasn’t concerned. How could he be?

"More like, she'll be irritated, because I didn't take her with me." Aren stated confidently. That he could actually see. And still it didn't worry him. Ki'somma wasn't always the b***h they made her out to be.

***

Aren and Dom spent most of the ride on the X-Jet bickering amongst themselves in less than hushed tones…It was followed by a few well placed sucker punches to one another’s upper arms, until Cyclops gave them a look that clearly instructed to tone it down. Their voices quieted, but the disagreement continued. There was a great debate that needed settled, and neither one of them was willing to back down. They’d paused, only when ki'sómma started to explain the situation going down at the mall, and at the rally… And a little bit of history about the magnetokinetic they were going to be standing toe to toe with.

But once the briefing was over, and the others were lost to their thoughts or notions of getting someone’s number…The contention continued immediately afterwards.

Aren snorted and gave Dom a disbelieving glance, clearly disagreeing with anything that was coming out of the Slovenian’s mouth. There was no way that the size shifter had been kicked out of the sim first… And if there was, he wasn’t admitting to it. “Give it up…You couldn’t shoot fish in a barrel…Someone shouldn’t be a such a sore loser, just because the underprivileged native shot him first… And shot him last.

What’s that Sacajawea? I couldn’t hear you over the overwhelming amount of drek* coming out of your mouth… I’m pretty sure you got hit last.” Dominik replied with a grin, hand running effortlessly through dark hair—Brushing it out of his eyes.

I’ll prove it to you.”, Aren relied, a faint challenge in his tone, “When we get back—

Rematch.” Dominik finished Aren’s sentence. He looked towards his Indian friend for a moment, deciding that this course of action to resolve their disagreement was agreeable. He knew he’d shot Aren out…But knew that the size shifter was way to stubborn to admit defeat. “Rematch. When we get back, we have a rematch.

Deal.”, Aren spoke sagely, a familiar grin falling to his chiseled features. “But the loser has to—

He paused, glancing towards Cyclops—Lowing his voice.

The loser has to streak through Scooter’s office.

Dom nodded, briefly hoping that Scott’s office didn’t have cameras.

**

Aren followed the group out of the X-Jet, earth toned eyes taking in the fight that was spiraling out of control in the streets below. It was hard to formulate a coherent thought when watching such senseless violence. The Siksiká had always been peaceful, as long as Aren could remember. He knew his own histories and the past of his tribe far more than he would ever recall that of American Government… It was still shocking.

He zoned on the chaos, until he heard his codename come from Narcissa. It took him a second to catch up as fire erupted and explosions echoed up the buildings from the streets. Ki’sómma hadn’t called him Tiny, which seemed to be the differentiation between when she was serious and when she wasn’t. He listened to the advice she gave, all the while trying to access his ability to help in this kind of situation. It was one hell of a first sanctioned mission to be thrown into… He hadn’t missed Psyche nail a man holding a Molotov…Nor had he missed the man burning alive.

Yeah, one hell of a mission.

The man of the hour, Magneto, seemed entirely engrossed for the time being with berating one of the politicians in his makeshift metal prison. Kerrigan spoke up, and he’d already been edging towards the fire escape. It started to rain, and suddenly the sheets that came down from the sky made things thrice as difficult. It was hard to see in the distance… A double edged sword, it provided them cover, but it also gave the enemy the same.

Knoxx hadn’t given him a direct order, but to provide cover for Ace until she got close enough to tone down Avalanche’s ability, so they could subdue him. He watched her slip on the fire escape, and reached instinctively to help her, but she was already back on track—Climbing down the metal quicker with every step.

The red headed woman was attacked almost immediately, but by the time he finished making his way down, the ginger was dishing out several helpings of a** kicking, ordering them to push forward. Aren could do that.

More adversary’s came from what seemed like nowhere, and everywhere—Sluicing through the rain like wraiths. Upon closer inspection, they were just dolled up in biker gang gear…But the crude weapons they held didn’t make him feel anymore comfortable. “Watch your back, Knoxx!

Keeping an eye on Ace, as told, he grabbed a leather clad man by the shoulder that was advancing on Kerrigan, and spun him a hundred and eight degrees. The man swung a piece of rebar at him, and thankfully missed as the native drew back his fist and threw a solid punch. Unexpectedly his fist grew several sizes larger, clocking the man hard in the jaw, as if he was suddenly wearing a boxing glove. Surprised at the sudden weight of his hand, the momentum pulled Aren forward until it suddenly shrunk back and he caught himself.

Well, that works.” he spoke to himself, the man laying on the street face down—Out cold.

There was a woman, hugging a small child tightly near the mouth of the alley. He creeped forward, letting himself shrink so as not to be so imposing. He would look like another child under the cover of the rain. Touching her shoulder, the woman jumped, but he motioned that she head towards the alley—And at first she sat still, afraid.

But a little more silent encouragement got her to skulk around the corner, and past the fallen mutants that his half of the team was laying out. Once outside the alleyway, she should be safe… It was ridiculous… On the other side of the building, things almost seemed normal.

Returning to his normal size, he was prepared to dive back into the fray, when the ground shook hard enough to make him stumble and trip. His legs suddenly felt like jelly, as if he had no bones left. What felt like some kind of shockwave send him faltering. crashing back into the ally way wall as the asphalt literally lifted off the ground and rolled towards him with a vengeance.

The native rolled out of the way ay the last second, the sound of glass breaking meeting his ears—The earth literally pushed up and split open. There was a man standing at the apex of the destruction, men at is side. He looked angry.

Aren really hoped that Ace would be able to do what Knoxx had asked. And he hoped that he could hold up his end of the bargain, and get her to Avalanche, so she could do what she needed to.

ALPHA:At the mall riot : Yeah that Hydra agent best not try anything......

User ImageThe large red haired mutant didn't seem to happy being called freckles.

Gideon watched as he actually stomped his foot in anger, just like a kid throwing a tantrum. It made Veritas smirk. Some people are easier to handle when they’re angry… and some are just more fun when angered in a fight. Well… That rule may have only applied to Gideon…Who didn’t mind a good scrap every now and again.

Though at the present time he wished there wasn't a non lethal order going on. Even though he isn't much for authority he certainly understood in this situation that less lethal was the best approach given the volatile mutants vs. humans debate. Sure he was tangling with mutants and not humans…But death on either side could be the spark that sets the proverbial keg off. A dead mutant would probably send many mutants rushing to Magneto's side. Which in turn would force humans to so something to retaliate. And that could result in another catastrophe like New York and Genosha.

He really didn't want a second thing like that on his hands.

Just then a panther appeared at his side which he knew to be the Hydra's agent-- Just from her scent. Due to that, and the not getting attacked instantly, and fact that she was still in sight, he deduced that it couldn’t be Mystique. Forms may change but without an added mutation scents don't usually completely fade. The girl smelled of a large feline…But underneath it all, all the fur, she still smelled the same. A shape shifter though, wasn’t a bad power… Though it was nothing Gideon hadn't dealt with before. He wasn't sure what this agent's game truly was… But for the moment she seemed to be on his side.

But he would be cautious of the panther as her helpful status could change in an instant. Well that chance, and given the connection to Hydra— Gideon does have the urge to gut the large cat.

And still may when the fight is over… But right now the shape shifter is useful. It can continue live until that fact changes.

He expected the panther to keep more focused on the werewolf mutant, Pack. But in a quick move the wolf was after Renaissance, who on Gideon's order was going to help Siren. Gideon almost had him, would have caught him, if it wasn't for Ginger Hulk hitting him with a chunk of who knows what. Gideon laughed reflexively as he got to his feet, having seen Leo get a good hit in on Pack. A good enough punch that knocked the mutant to the ground. Gideon moved quickly, and grabbed the wolf mutant by the tail and by the scruff on it's back, tossing it to his friend. "I told you to keep the wolf with you other wise this fight won't be fair Freckles." Gideon said cracking his knuckles.

Leo shouted for Gideon by his codename to retreat. "Not happening till you all are out. Think of me and the kitty here as the vanguard. Besides I have my own ride." Gideon said just as he and the Ginger Hulk charged each other. Ducking a strong right from Freckles, Gideon jumped and grabbed the Ginger's head driving one of his knees forcibly into the larger mutant's face. Ginger hulk reeled a bit not expecting the blow to have the force it did behind it.

He heard Allegra mention she and one of the new Alpha’s, Moonlight, would try keep them at bay with their shields… Gideon was about to say no thanks, considering, it's not often he gets to fight someone where he doesn't have to completely restrain himself.

But minutes later, there was a bomb to deal with. So the two shield producers were sent to take care of that… Which was good. Gideon could hold his own, and Bianca was a good person… She could use the back up far more than he.

Gideon dodged another blow from the Ginger Hulk, who was moving in close once more. The wolverine clone kicked off the large mutant's leg dropping his opponent to one knee. This was done in hopes of swinging over his shoulders and driving the larger mutant backwards to have him fall with Gideon's knees directly in his spine. But that didn't happen, as Ginger hulk quickly caught Gideon in a bear hug.

"I know this.... looks bad...... But if you aren't currently a panther...... and taking on the were wolf. Go help with the lava guy." Gideon said in-between getting squeezed by his really strong opponent. Gideon got him to let go by boxing his ears, causing the larger mutant to drop him and stumble back a bit.

"Your a tenacious one aren't you. Guess they never told you about the last brotherhood lackey that fought me." Gideon said, referring to the Blob, who in their last encounter was left laying in a pool of his own blood and brain matter.

My hearts longs not to be captured or killed!

❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀

Alex could hear the voices of others talking around her. She could hear Mystique’s reply to the man’s(Leo’s) question. Her ears also heard Eli and another person(Marcel) discussing ways to fight off Pyro and acting on their plans. But, no matter what she did, the French girl could not pick up on where they were coming from. The many screams and running footsteps made pinpointing any particular noise hard. It made it to where she felt like she was in an ocean surrounded by loud roaring waves. Unlike Bella, Alex had not the training or the capability to block out all sounds and focus on one. At least, not yet. Thus, the French girl eventually gave up and allowed her hearing to return back to normal, her eyes opening up slowly. “I am sorry…All the other noises inside this mall are making it hard for me to figure out if we have anymore enemies to worry about. If only I knew what kind of sounds to look for…”

Then, Mystique seemed to offer an ultimatum to the group. Either join them, or die. At least, that was what the bluntest way to put it in her mind. Alex felt a shiver go up her spine as she realized just how much danger they were all in. This wasn’t a simulation or a nightmare. They could honestly die today, and there would be no way to bring them back. The idea of not being able to live past this day made her heart pound and her muscles became stiff and hard to move. The blue green pools looked around like a scared little mouse surrounded by a pack of cats. Her hands trembled against her chest as she unconsciously moved closer to Reggie. I am scared out of my wits! I wish I had not come here! She knew the thoughts were childish and pathetic. But, Alex’s mind had immediately gone into panic mood. Thus, it was hard to push back the fear and replace it with calm determination like others seemed to have done.

Her eyes watched as the man(Christian) slowly started to crept towards Mystique. She couldn’t help but flinch slightly as he came within a few feet of the blue skinned woman. I hope he knows what he is doing. Then, everything happened within a few moments. The gun aimed towards Mystique’s head gave Bella the opportunity to use her power. She watched amazed as Bella pushed the blue skinned mutant away with just the use of sound waves. Amazing! I have never seen anything like it! However, the victory was short lived as the sound of gun fire ran through the mall. Her blue green eyes watched blood start to collect below Bella’s arm. That is not good! Will she go into shock because of it? The French girl had heard how people who were shot could bleed to death, and go into shock. However, Alex had no real life experience with this until today. We need to get her out of here!

But, the situation only turned from worse to horrible! Five mutants came out of the ruins of the shop nearby. The French girl noticed that one girl(Fyral) seemed to be a lava generator. Pyro will have fire to work with from that…would he not? Then, she noticed a man that was more wolf than human(Pack). His legs were bent the wrong direction and it caused her stomach to become a bit nauseous. Why am I so weak? This is pathetic of me to be acting like this! Even while chiding herself, Alex caught a glimpse of two Asian twins(Aoi and Miu) turning from human to insect like things. A shiver went done her spine at how creepy they were becoming. Why are their new forms so much creepier than they need to be? Is our luck just that horrible today? The last person(Brick) appeared almost normal compared to the others. He had ginger hair and freckles, with messed up glasses sitting on his nose. He looks just like any old bluff guy to me. Does his power lie his strength?

Unfortunately, the five weren’t here for tea and social time. The blue skinned mutant ordered the five to kill all of them, except for Eli. Her eyes wondered towards him, glad that one of them might make it out alive. However, the French girl had a bad feeling that Mystique wanting him alive wasn’t a good thing. I hope we are all able to make it out of this mess alive and in one piece. But, that seems to be getting harder to do by the minute. The group near the fountain already had one down, and that was their leader. Admittedly, Alex wondered if this was some kind of test. A test to see if the Alphas could function without Bella. If this is a test, then let us be able to pass it….even if we just succeed barely above failing.

Her mind briefly left the five to look over at Toad. His focus seemed to be on the girl(Aurelie), trying to persuade her to leave the man(Leo) and go with him. She cringed slightly as his tongue hit the girl’s(Aurelie’s) shield. Ew! That is nasty! However, the girl(Aurelie) threw back a remark of her own, earning a small smile from the French girl. At least she is not the type to let herself be intimidated. But, Alex founded herself distracted from the frog man as Mystique yelled at him. If they weren't in a life or death situation, the French girl might have laughed at the way she chided him. Instead, she kept her mouth shut.

The five marched towards the group now, two of them heading towards Bella while the other three tried to break down the girl’s(Aurelie’s) shields. She felt herself filled with the feeling of guilt and uselessness. If only my power was offensive….then maybe I could help more. But, I am not going down without a fight. Thus, the French girl tried to find a way to be useful to the group….without causing more trouble. However, Alex found herself distracted by a voice entering her ears. Their leader’s voice rang out, ordering the Alphas not to kill and to come to the fountain with caution. She made no move to act like she had heard a thing. After all, that would expose what Bella had done to the enemies surrounding them. Thus, the French girl stood still, trying to find something to do to help the others.

As she looked around, she noticed the man(Leo) whispering to the girl(Aurelie). She couldn’t hear them due to her having brought her hearing back to normal earlier. Because of this, Alex kept her eyes only briefly on them before observing some more. One girl (Megan) came towards them now. Something about her made the French girl feel she was a good guy instead of a bad guy. Just like the man(Christian) earlier, who was having a gun aimed to his head, she came to help out the group. But then, she saw something strange. In front of Bella, there seemed to be a strange distortion. It looked like the colors were moving like ripples in the water. Admittedly, Alex worried it was an enemy that had snuck up on them. However, when the distortion(Daylia) gave the other girl(Megan) her jacket to help patch up Bella’s wounds, the sensory adaptor felt relief flow through her. Thank goodness that she is not an enemy. But, she does have a good power.

Then, Alex heard bodies colliding. Her head turned quickly to see a white haired man(Gideon) run into Pack and Brick. His voice seemed to echo in her mind as he yelled for them to get Bella out of there. Soon, he repeated his order again as he was thrown by Brick. But then, two more mutants showed up to their aide. Well, she assumed the panther(Katarina) was a mutant. Something about the way the panther(Katarina) focused on Pack made her think that only a human could do such a thing. Besides, I do not think panthers are a common thing to be found in malls…are they? Alex only smiled to herself, feeling silly for the thought. Oh well. Silly thoughts in a moment like this show I know how to find humor in hard times…Though, not sure that is a good thing.

The second new arrival, a young Asian girl(Tsukino), had the ability to create barriers. At least, if the dome shaped barrier placed over the girl’s(Aurelie’s) wasn’t some kind of illusion. The Asian girl(Tsukino) soon referred to the girl(Aurelie) as Allerga. An eyebrow rose as she titled her head. What does an allergy medicine have to do with telekinesis? Now is not the time to ask questions of that nature though. Now is the time to act. But, her attention became drawn back to the man(Leo), his words echoing the white haired man’s(Gideon’s) command. There is a saying that fits the fact that it is better the retreat than to fight when outmatched…but I cannot remember it. While the man(Leo) went off towards Bella, she smiled slightly. Good luck.

After the man(Leo) retrieved Bella successfully, an opportunity arose for her to help. Her comm went off as a voice(Bianca) on the other end mentioned something about a bomb. Unfortunately, the voice(Bianca) was cut off. Maybe the others cannot follow his stench, but maybe I can…Alex closed her eyes as she enhanced her sense of smell. At first, the strong scent of smoke overwhelmed her and made her start to violently cough. However, the French girl pulled it together and started trying to find his scent. Luckily, she knew what frog smelt like, due to frog legs being a delicacy in France. Thus, it didn’t take long for her to find him. The moment she did, she cringed as the smell of frog was not pleasant like it normally was to her.

However, the man(Leo) started giving them all orders, which made her loose his scent. All the sudden codenames made her feel a bit overwhelmed, but she slowly started to put them together. Moonlight equals Barrier girl, Allegra equals Telekinetic girl, Opaque equals girl that told us about bomb….Her mind slowly started doing a process of elimination as the man(Leo) started to make his move, the French girl only registering now that the man(Leo) didn’t know her codename. Then again, she didn’t know his either. Oh well. Guess we’ll learn that soon enough.

Once Alex was able to find the frog scent again, her finger pressed delicately against her comm, hoping the settings were right to broadcast to Allegra, Moonlight, and Glitter. Before she sent it, she noticed a girl(Glitter), coming towards them. By the way she was acting, Alex could tell she was Glitter. Wait, why do I need to comm it when I could just walk over? She chuckled to herself as she moved over towards the two, assuming Moonlight would follow them. However, before Alex could announce herself, Allegra started talking. This caused her mind to be split between listening and focusing on his scent. Thus, the French girl found her mouth unable to work as Allegra continued to speak. Now, her voice could be heard in the comm, Alex realizing she was sending a mass transmission. I wish I could leave. Not sure how much use I will be disarming a bomb….but, I was given orders. I just hope the man(Leo) knows what he is doing.

Then, it seemed Opaque responded back to Allegra’s question, since Allegra motioned for the three to follow her to the Aeropostle store. The French girl followed like a little duckling following its’ mother, never straying far from the other three in their little group. Once there, she stood behind Allegra as her and Toad had an exchange. He is still nasty! To keep herself from being overwhelmed by his disgusting smell, she closed her eyes and reduced her sense of smell to normal. However, that didn’t stop her from smelling Toad. God! He smells bad even without enhancing that particular sense. Luckily, Alex was able to see that Allegra looked to be directing Glitter to do her job. Thus, the French girl knew it wouldn’t be long until their job was done. Let’s hope this works, or else we will become nothing more than charred dust…if we are lucky.

Then, another girl(Hoshi) approached them. After introducing herself as Seriyu, she asked where she needed to be. If only I knew the answer to her question. Her blue green eyes looked over at Seriyu before looking back towards Toad. "I think we would need to know your power first. What is it so that we know how you can help us?" The French girl kept her eyes focused on Toad, hoping she didn't appear rude for doing so.

"We will drink our fill of Alpha
Then, of golden sunshine that spills into the mall, specifically the Fountain, then to Opaque's location.
Till our brains intertwine with Reggie, Bella, Lexi , Allegra, Landslide, the man(Leo), Moonlight, the panther girl(Katarina), Veritas, Digger, Chameleon, and a man with a gun(Christian), with Eli, Opaque and Water boy nearby, then I am only with Moonlight, Opaque, Allegra, Seriyu, and Glitter"

It was not long before things got chaotic for the young X-Men team. Not long after they’d landed Storm took flight. A marvelous power indeed, but now was not the time to ogle the sexy women flying around. It was time to get whatever their mission was out of the way, just as soon as Narcissa started giving orders. Her eye immediately caught the red clad woman in the distance, raising all sorts of hell and attacking all who crossed her path. Orchid couldn’t help but smirk; she’d only just been talking about the Scarlet Witch a few minutes earlier, and here she was about to face her.

She’d decided then she wasn’t going to betray the X-Men, at least not yet. It was much too soon, and Orchid always liked theatrics; all the drama of a sudden backstab was lost when she hadn’t had time to forge relationships with the team members. More to the point, she hadn’t yet gotten what she’d wanted out of the X-Men. When that time came, she would be more than happy to leave them and join the Brotherhood, or perhaps even forge her own path.

Narcissa then began barking out orders to the team, splitting them up to take on different tasks. One of the impromptu teams was sent out to rescue some of the hostages. The other, the team she was on, was to go down and stop the Scarlet Witch. It was sad that they had to take down someone so beautiful, so powerful, and someone so representative of everything she believed in. She, like Orchid, was a goddess among insects. But until she decided when she was going to leave, she had to do as she was told, and for now she had to help take down the Scarlet Witch.

It was then that the wind around them began to chain; a certain dampness lingered in the air before it was finally replaced by falling rain, slowly increasing in intensity as the moments passed. Storm was working her magic. While most women would probably b***h and moan about getting their hair wet, Orchid was special in that no matter what was done to her hair, it would never be ruined. She controlled its texture, its length, its color; everything. And if she burned it off or had it cut? She could simply regrow it all in moments. Her scalp essentially served as an extra set of infinite limbs she could use at will. If anything the water added to its weight, and therefore made it all that much deadlier a weapon.

She followed along with great haste as Narcissa lead them with a leap from rooftop to rooftop, which Orchid had no problem with. While some of the others zoomed through the fire escape, Orchid was not as agile as them. While she did it swiftly, she took each step one at a time. Once she got to the bottom she kicked off the last ladder, which was suspended in midair, and went along to help the others.

Her first target was a new Morlock that had come in to help his allies. He was a tall one, with deep blue skin, glowing eyes, and wielding a pair of what appeared to be axes made of a bright energy. She did not have to make a move against him, as he attacked her first, swinging the axes in wide sweeps and large arcs. She jumped back a few steps with every strike in her direction, dodging and weaving through every attack. As she moved her hair woke up to become a furious mane with a life all its own, the many locks of her moving with her body. After what seemed like forever, evading, she eventually found an opening.

A thick lock of hair just over her forehead extended itself for many feet, eventually splitting at the end, the tendrils wrapping themselves around the Morlock’s feet. Two more locks extended theselves from either side of her head, wrapping themselves around his wrists, holding them apart. The rest of her hair made its presence known as well, becoming large snake-like coils with thick ends twisting to resemble some kind of small battering rams. Without a moment’s hesitation she wailed on the man, crossing her arms and letting her powers do all the work. After she was satisfied that the man had had enough, she finished by slamming one of the tentacles into his groin, and finished him off with a wild kick to the chin, letting him fall to the ground. It was nowhere near fatal, but he would not be getting up soon.

As more Morlocks seemed to near their position, her hair loosened, lying flat and wet on her person, crimson and black strands extending just past her knees; more than ready to do her bidding. She moved closer to the other team members, smirking as she readied herself to fight off anyone else.
”So when does the fun part start?” she shouted with something of a haughty tone toward her teammates.

((OOC: Hope it's alright. I'll change it if anyone needs me to.))

If she were actually focusing on those around her, and not allowing quite so much of the panther mind to come forward…She might have found the lack of reaction to a large, predatory cat wandering around the mall a little strange. As it were, she held her ground, snapping viciously at the wolf-man as he dodged by her, heading towards the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. She’d missed at first, where the scent of blood, something wounded had been coming from. But when her attention shifted with Pack, she realized that Rossi was holding an unconscious brunette.

A bleeding, almost delicious looking human. The want to drag her carcass up a tree and save it for later was…Hard to ignore. Her attention waned long enough for her realize what she was doing…Before she buried the animal mind as much as she could. These people were not food. She needed X-20’s assistance…Not his consternation, nor his ire.

Her claws clicked on the floor in agitation as the former HYDRA hostile seemed to be everywhere at once. The reports didn’t do him any justice at all. She prowled the perimeter of the fight this time, intending on keeping the mutants that big blue had cast towards her objective at bay. The sooner the targets were neutralized, the sooner she could get her answers.

The tension in the United States was not lost on her…Humans and Mutants seemed so incredibly close to civil war that she wasn’t entirely sure, that she wouldn’t have been safer behind Madame Hydra’s fortified walls. But being safe had never been what she’d wanted… She loved the thrill that came with a fight. More than anything…Kali wanted to be free.

All these little X-Brats seemed to take complete advantage of the fact that their superiors weren’t psychotic tyrants. It annoyed her, faintly. They had the choice to fight. The choice to run away. With HYDRA…It was either do, or die trying…Because if you failed, you were dead anyway.

She growled at the large, freckled, mountain of a man baring teeth as he took X-20 into a bear hug—Her ears going flat against her skull as she darted forward, claws finding purchase in the red haired mutants calf as Gideon boxed his ears, escaping from his grasp as a flash of blue light filled the area. Her sensitive cats eyes were overly large for a moment as they adjusted to the light, gaze landing on the boy with the gun.

Guns always made her…Nervous.

She hadn’t pulled away from Brick before she turned the man’s lower leg into neatly sliced ribbons of bloody flesh and ragged skin. Her claws were wickedly curved, so that when she pulled free, it ripped through everything in its path. A mortal wound, for smaller creatures like deer and coyotes. It was only so much meat and shredded muscle to her own eyes… She was tempted to bite him in the other leg while he howled, her jaw like a vice.

But her thoughts, plans were interrupted as X-20 started speaking, giving new orders, and she snarled at him with something that only could be described as kitty-disdain. X-20 seemed powerful enough in his own right…But was he really that smart? Sending others against a lava-mutant? What would they do while he…she…It, burned her flesh off?

Wouldn’t it make more sense for the one with the healing factor and adamantium skeleton to go after the potentially fatal mutant?

Her attention for the time being, turned back to the wolf that was pulling himself to his feet. The lava mutant was still milling about, appearing almost catatonic…Like a victim from a burn unit. The hydro kinetic had done a number on it... She would work this problem, and when, if, she dredged up a plan…Some way of dealing with Lava Girl, that didn’t involve her dying horribly…She would act.

Her tail flicked in the air, filled with warning. Pack seemed to stumble, dazed from the hit he’d taken from the S.H.I.E.L.D. boy, and she launched herself at him, her paws landing first on Pack, pushing him back towards the ground as they snarled and clawed angrily at one another.

Advancing In The Opposite Direction Is What I Meant… Yeah…

Luckily, most of the citizens had cleared out of the mall by now, but some were still cowering behind counters in various restaurants. There was still a lot of activity in the parking lot as well, but the death rate if the bomb were to go off was greatly reduced than what it had been five minutes ago. Still, Leonardo wasn’t wasting time; he was going full blast towards the exit, holding Bella while hopefully having Landslide, Tempest, and Winter Wolf in tow. There wasn’t any sort of resistance as they were making their way out, seeing as how there wasn’t anyone that was trying to stop them in the first place.

As the animal mimic reached the glass doors, he spotted Gambit trying to direct crowd control. It was a futile attempt; no one was listening because they were raving mad. Running up to the kinetic energy manipulator, he instantly dispatched the wounded Bella into confused Gambit’s arms. “Take her,” he muttered. “She was shot and she’s still losing blood.” It was then that Leo noticed that he could have brought Bella outside by himself; he didn’t need to bring the other three with him… but still, he didn’t exactly know if one of Mystique’s lackeys would spot him and try to eviscerate him.

Turning to go back into the mall, Gambit called, “Hold on there… what’re ya gonna do?”

“What I do best…” Leonardo mumbled before turning back inside and motioning to the others to follow him. When he waved his hand to have them follow him, that was when he realized that his shirt and hands had Bella’s blood on them. It wasn’t the first time that someone else’s blood had been on his hands… Leo shook his head, focusing himself on the task at hand. He could see that the Junior X-Men were actually gaining the upper hand on the baddies. Ginger Hulk Brick’s leg was torn up, Fyral had just taken a huge hit from Marcel, and the HYDRA agent was wrestling with Pack. It seemed like she was helping after all… good. The enemy of his enemy was his friend, as far as he was concerned. The only ones that needed to be taken care of were the twin flying Asians.

Almost as if they were telepathic, the twins focused their empty, black gaze on the group of four that had just returned. They swooped down from their elevated position with the sound of an angry hive of bees attacking an irritant. Taking action, Leonardo switched his ability to spider agility and leapt towards the one closest to him (the one called Aoi), pushing her back and grabbing her forearms in a vice grip so that she couldn’t slice him to bits using her sword-arms. The other one went for Landslide, Tempest, and Winter Wolf. Bringing his knee up with break-neck speed, he hit Aoi viciously in the stomach, making her double over. However, this did not break her concentrating in flying, as they were both still in mid air.

Now enraged, the Asian insectoid flung Leonardo high into the air with the intent on flying up to him and stabbing him in the stomach on his way down. Leo was faster than that though, and at the precise moment that she was within range, he exploded his legs out, furiously batting Aoi’s sword-arms out of the way. Then, with his legs still extended on either side, he slammed his fists down on Aoi’s collarbones, fracturing at least one of them. At that moment, the both of them started to fall back to the ground… and Leo didn’t like the look of that, from the height they were at. He grabbed onto Aoi, who was surprisingly still trying to bat her wings as hard as she could to stay in the air. The fragile Asian girl couldn’t handle the larger man’s weight, however, and the both of them went down.

They hit the ground hard, and the shock caused Leo to bounce off of Aoi and fall back onto the floor… which wasn’t too kind to his bruised ribs. Coughing, Leo looked over to Aoi… she seemed incapacitated for now. Good. Still on the ground, he reached into his pocket and was surprised to see that his communicator was still functional… they were durable little machines. Clicking it on, he sputtered,Allegra… how’s our bomb situation?” as he said the last word, he spotted movement in the corner of his eye… the movement of an insect’s wing. Seriously? What was Mystique feeding these things?

“You’ve got to be kidding me…” he muttered, audible over the comm. Another push of adrenaline forced Leo to his feet using his spider agility, still holding the comm in his hand. Clipping it to his ear, he got into a shabby battle-ready stance, ready to face off once again. Aoi was as well equally weakened, but wasn’t ready to give up just yet. With one of her wings crushed, she began to attack Leo with her blade-arms, slicing him horizontally across the chest on the third try. Leo stumbled back, touching his chest and seeing his own blood spill out of his body. Oh, hell no. As Aoi came in for a follow-up attack with her right arm, Leonardo blocked it with his left. Aoi tried to come in with her left, but Leo smashed his fist down with such force that it broke the small Asian’s arm. As a finisher, Leo right-hooked her across the face, taking her down for the count.

As Aoi hit the ground, Leo’s body had finally had enough. His vision blurred and the room swam around him, causing him to stumble backwards. He caught himself on the fountain, his breathing ragged and shallow. The animal mimic had finally reached his limit; his throat was dry and his lungs felt like they were going to explode. They had to get out; fast. Hopefully, the bomb could be taken care of and the last of the lackeys would be disposed of. Then they would be home free.

"Got it." Eli responded to Marcel's request. "And yeah, it's Railgun." He said, raising his hands and more pipes started to pull up from the ground, like roots being pulled from the dirt.

They were, for the most part focusing on Tsunami considering he was the larger threat to them. Moving his hands here and there, the pipes intercepted balls of lava and fire, melting down slowly, forcing the magnetokinetic to bring more metal to them. Benches and trashcans slowly started to disappear as Eli was forced to use them to protect Tsunami and himself. And as he did so, a slight sting started to ping through his body as he could start to feel the strain of his ability.

"You gotta finish them quick Tsunami, I don't know how much longer I can keep this up." He said, struggling to move a heavier metal object that he used to block a torrent of lava.

Alpha - Mall - Bomb Squad, Activate!

User Image
Raine couldn't help but smile at Aurelie's suggestion that the situation would be infinitely better if they were at the mall shopping as opposed to trying to save the world. Of course, the brunette could only agree - she didn't have extra time all that often, but when she did she liked to shop. There was something about new clothes that calmed her - well, that was probably the same with all girls her age, right? Drawing her attention back to the job at hand, the firefly gave a nod as the general game plan for dealing with the bomb was formulated - make it go boom inside the shields. This was certainly going to be a test of their organizational skills and timing. If they could pull it off, however, it would certainly be heroic. This was the kind of thing they trained for, wasn't it? So why was she suddenly so nervous? I mean, there were explosions involved -- yes, that actually made a lot of sense.

The blonde Alpha sent out a general message for everyone to get the heck out of Dodge, Raine's eyes turning around the general area to make sure that others were following her teammate's suggestion. She was surprisingly calm and confident despite everything that was going on, which impressed Raine greatly. It took a few missions for her to feel confident in her Alpha skin, so to speak, so she was glad to see Aurelie easily making the transition into Allegra.

It wasn't long before the group was making their way towards the Aeropostale store, the brunette halting quickly behind the blonde as she threw a shield up in front of them, yelling at Toad. There was some banter between the two of them, Raine's hazel eyes narrowing towards the Brotherhood member. She caught Aurelie's glance towards her, giving the slightest tip of her head to show that she understood what she was supposed to do. As soon as they got the explosive from Froggy, it was her duty to take him out. And considering how crass he was towards women, it was a duty she would be all too happy to fulfill.

Her hands balled into fists, a deep breath attempting to suppress the electric charge bubbling just underneath her skin, giving her a glittering appearance. They were then approached by Hoshi, asking where she was needed. Alex responded, asking what it was that the girl could do, Raine never really taking her eyes off the Brotherhood member in front of them.

"Seriyu, they could probably use your help making sure everyone gets out of this area and as far away as possible," she said simply, trying not to sound like she didn't want the girl to stick around. The truth of the matter was, from what she knew of the girl's powers, there wasn't much she could do to help them detonate this bomb. And the last thing she wanted was for someone to stick around them when they would be better suited for helping out some of their other teammates with the chaotic situation still happening throughout the mall and parking lots. Unfortunately, they were running out of time.

Bianca continued hiding and moving when necessary as Toad began looking for her to pay her back for her hitting him in the chest. He seemed relatively fine which was disappointing then again it was probably too much to hope for a knockout hit on him. He was calling for her every now and then to come out where he could see her but she refused. Like she would stand half a chance against the man alone. As she moved from one rack of clothes to another her comm went off. Reinforcements were on the way thankfully they just needed to know where she was at. Listening for a moment to hear where Toad was Bianca moved farther away then ducked down and brought her comm up to her lips. "Uh I am not sure exactly. I think we are in a Aeropostale store. Maybe. Sorry I can't say for sure. He is nearby so uh bye..." She spoke in a quiet voice so as to avoid being overheard by Toad. She didn't even want to think of what the frog would do to her if he were to catch her.

Reaching the back of the store Bianca held her breath as she heard him drawing nearer and nearer to her. Unknowingly drawing some more nearby darkness to her before moving again she prepared to send another beam towards him when the voice from the comms called out to him. Oh thank god. Looking out until she spotted the blond near the front of the store she was pleased to see she was accompanied by a few others. Then shortly after another girl arrived. Moving towards them the long way around to not arouse suspicion she listened to what was being said. Toad seemed to be hitting on the blond which was just gross. Why he thought anybody would be attracted to him when he smelled and quite frankly looked like a sewer was beyond her. Stopping as she was in the perfect position to make a run for the group of her teammates Bianca listened as Aurelie mentioned the bomb. Oh he didn't need to tell them where it was since she knew perfectly where it was.

Bringing her comm up to her lips she projected back to Aurelie again speaking still in a quiet voice. "I am about to make a break for you four mind helping me out by lowering your shield for just a second or two?" Waiting until she got some kind of sign Bianca stood up and broke out into a run for Aurelie and the others. She sent a bolt of dark energy over her shoulder and in the direction of Toad for distraction purposes. Making it to Aurelie she was pleased when she didn't hit a shield and stopped next to them. The shield was up in time to stop Toad's tongue from wrapping around any of them or even touching them as it hit the shield. The one girl (Raine) had sent told the newest arrival that there wasn't much she could do. Letting out a breath she wasn't aware she was holding she spoke up in a louder voice now no longer afraid of being over heard. "The bomb is towards the back of the store. I think he put it by one of the cash registers. So what is the plan with the bomb? We disarming it or something else? Not sure how I can help exactly."

Looking back over at Toad she watched he moved again and suddenly and without warning launched his tongue towards Tsukino attempting to wrap his tongue around her and throw her to the side. Horror appeared on her face as his tongue did indeed wrap around her waist and she was pulled towards the green man then flung towards a wall and hitting it. Moving closer to Aurelie to make sure she was safe Bianca bit her bottom lip. "What are we doing about him? I can help with that if need be." Bianca didn't know what anyone really could do after all. She knew Aurelie's had something to do with shields as Toad had mentioned her having a shield. Asking however where he could plainly hear was out of the question. They needed to have some surprise on their side. "We should probably check on that girl once he is out of the picture as well. That sounded pretty hard."

(Tsukino autohit to help move the story along and give some reason for her not posting)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✖ Allegra ✖ Alpha ✖ Telekinetic ✖ Mall

User ImageHello Seriyu.” Allegra said quietly. “Glitter's right – the evacuation needs more help than we do.” Plus, more people trying to help could only assimilate something similar to the “too many cooks in the kitchen” deals. And that was the last thing they needed. If she stayed – there was more of a risk for her. “Once most of the people are out of the mall – see Renaissance Man for more instructions – he's acting as leader because Siren was shot.

The girl voiced her opinions on what she thought of Toad, and while Aurelie agreed – right now was the time to repress any unnecessary commentary. What was about to go down was entirely too dire to be making jokes in her opinion. However, she left it alone – figuring that the girl would do as bade this time around. Maybe she hadn't heard the announcement to both the teams that the telekinetic had broadcasted just a few minutes ago...

s**t. She'd forgotten about the other blond... Leo had told her to come with them, and Aurelie didn't know her mutation either. Though, she seemed like a smart girl – surely she'd know when to activate her mutation without specific instructions.

Allegra... how's our bomb situation?Leo's voice thrummed through the comm.

Aurelie exhaled as she put the comm to her mouth. “Currently still an issue, Reni. Get as many people out of here as possible before we detonate it.” Her shields held fast, effortless for now because nothing was pushing against them.

Bianca asked for her to drop the shields so she could come over, and the blond nodded, peering out into the store to try and catch any movement that might have been her teammate. The dark haired girl dashed to them, and for a split second, Aurelie released her telekinetic shields so as to let her come into the protection that she could offer them. Thankfully, she had the location of it already, so they didn't need to waste precious time tracking it down.

Unfortunately, Toad's tongue had slithered between the walls in that split second.. and had coiled about Tsukino's waist, sending her hurling about the store – crashing into one of the displays and then into a wall. The telekinetic's breath hitched, shocked that he'd been so quick... before he shrugged. “I prefer girls with brighter eyes, sweets. Who's next?

It made her flesh want to abandon her skeleton, to watch him eye the group like they were special guests of honor in his next feast. Rather... more like the entrees. The sensation was just altogether creepy. “Seriyu... new plan – get her out of here and to a medic to make sure she's alright.

Bianca offered to take care of Slime boy, and she nodded.. “Please do. Glitter and I are going to take care of this... as quickly and efficiently as possible. I'm assuming that she – ” Aurelie let her eyes slide over to Alex's form... “Can assist in taking care of him.

Had she mentioned how screwed this whole situation was? Should she even bother to mention it?

Eyelids drew heavily over sapphire gems, and Aurelie inhaled a sharp breath. Without Tsukino's assistance, this had just become a lot harder.. hard enough... that once it was over – she and Elixir were going to be fast buds again. Because she was most certainly going to pass out from the explosion.

Not that they'd need to know that, until after the bomb situation was cleared – what was a visit to the infirmary if they could fix her after they saved a lot of lives?

Motioning with an arm for the group to follow her, to maintain the protection of her shield, Aurelie found the cash register rather easily – the bomb gave off a flashing green light that seeped through the cracks of the drawer, which didn't make it hard to distinguish what was behind drawer 3. She sighed and whispered, “Get ready... it might take a bit for me to lift it up enough to disconnect it from the counter.” Meaning, (though she doubted Toad would catch on) that her shields might drop for a second or two.

She'd been right – it'd been like trying to rip something that had been ductaped to a surface off. The screws that had held it to the table stripped with a grinding noise, and the cash register hovered in the air, as though someone were holding it now. “Alright, I'm going to transfer our protection to around the bomb on my count to three. Just before I say it, Glitter... I think you know what to do.

Breathe. Her lungs were unsteadily drawing oxygen in. “One.” They could do this. “Two.” She seriously, seriously hoped that the timing would be just right – their lives depended on it. ” Three.

And make sure to pull me out when I fall. Was the last thing she thought of, just before blood started dribbling from her ear canals.

"Alright let's go." Dimitri said quickly as he too, attempt to make his exit out of the mall and far away from here as possible.

Seeing as how the exit wasn't across the entire mall and was only a few seconds away, it was easy for Dimtiri and Bianca to escort the children out of here. The playboy had pushed the door when out of nowhere he heard the sound of a gunshot. Immediately The playboy's hand froze and his eyes looked back at where the source came from; Mystique holding their leader at gunpoint. There was no way Bella could have been just...gone like that. That scared familar feeling everyone experienced at one point ran all thoughout the Playboy's body instantly."No, no don't tell me.. she can't be it can't happen he thought. Obviously Bella wasn't immortal but they still had more adventures to do, more places to see, and more asses to kick before their time was up. His eyes looked towards Bianca's; her tears already expecting the worse from Bella.

"Hey we don't know that ok? We have them outnumbered, remember?" Dimitri told her, trying to get her to think on the positive side and put a smile on her face. The positive was was the side that he always favored; plus this was a "mission" so she couldn't lose her cool mentally or elses everything else would fall.

Moments later they saw their leader in the distance; thank the higher powers. He knew that the X-men, especially the Alphas(or whatever team he was on) didn't get off'ed so quick like that. One had to put in effort just to make the Alpha's consider not going easy on their opponents. Five targets decided to put this to the test; five new mutants who weren't friends to the Alpha's. Between Dimitri and Bianca her powers had the least chance of hurting innoncent people. Technically Dimitri could get nasty with the mutants, but he didn't need more people on the injured list like Bella was. "Hey, no problem, just pick me up something from the food court if you have time." he smiled before he let the kids go through the doors first, followed by himself.

"Rain?"

He was a student long enough to know that the weather doesn't have sudden changes like that unless the sexy and talented Miss O had anything to do with it."If Storm's here then the other's may be here as well. Nice" he thought. Orignally it was Rogue,Logan and Cyclops but backup arrived after it was clear that certain Alphas(Leo/Aurelie) didn't know how to shop; they knew how to party instead. The kids were too focused on getting to safety that they didn't even ask the Playboy how it went from sunshine to rain. It was bad enough outside before they got inside the mall. Going back out was on another level; molotov cocktails that made Max Payne smile, more baddies and car explosions. It looked like another day in the Danger Room. The Playboy followed the escaping crowd that looked like they had a least chance of getting ******** up from the mutants or anything else and attempted to blend in. With a few kids he went from Alpha Playboy to a young dad in moments; going as far away from the mall as possible.

"Seriously!? A bomb. Im getting c**k-blocked by children again! only instead of them blocking poonanny their blocking my chance of having fun." he thought to himself after hearing Bianca's bomb message. By the time this was done he was gonna have a long session in the danger room by himself.
