For a moment Fu was wondering if they were talking about the same man. The difference between them was that Vera saw Baihu as a lover while Fu saw him as her father. The woman smiled gently and got off of the girls wings, but held to her wrist like the person in front of her would disappear. "You're not so different from me." The woman told the younger. It was a true statement as the woman looked back on her childhood. "Baihu may be my father, but I was raised by my mother. They met at a party and there was a one night stand. I was four when I first met both him and Chen." She told her. She had so many half siblings and not one of them had the same mother as she did. "I don't think that my mother ever told him that I was his daughter, but he came up right to me and called a little tiger." Her eyes got a little misty. These memories were her childhood. One without the man who she would later call father. "I was always alone up to that point, but Baihu picked me up and took me away from my mother playfully. My mother of course protested, but papa just responded with 'She's my daughter too and I want her to be with me and have fun even if it's for one day'. That is the type of person he is. He doesn't care who he upsets as long as he has his family with him. He loves to be loved and give love. That's why it's hard to think that he just let you go." Fu told the person who she thought would be her mother. This wasn't the same stuck up Fu that would say something about everything in a negative way. This was the Fu that was still her father's daughter and loved him very much. "I don't want to believe that this is the end. I want to believe my father's words when he told me that he was excited to marry you because you were a person that could match him and even be agreeable with me and all my siblings. I sometimes think that he purposely lost the bet." Fu confessed to her what she thought and how she felt

Kurai wasn't sure if he could do anything to help so he didn't want to get in the way Ya know I think they're having a bit of family trouble at the moment I think they need some time alone Kurai wasn't sure if he should leave or not because he hates to leave people alone when they are not in the right state of mind I know but... I don't want to leave them thats just rude let me ask if they need some space The female nodded in agreement and went along with Kurai's idea Are you ok? Do you need some time alone? You seem to be going through some issues right now if you don't want me here at the moment then I will go

Taking a deep breath and trying to regain control of herself, Vera slowly shook her head. "Match him, get along with all of you? Not a chance...how can I, you're all older than I am. And I'm to be his wife? Oh, wait, that's right...now I actually have a CHOICE," Vera commented bitterly, tears falling down her cheeks again. Cringing as Kurai spoke, the shapeshifter probably thinking she was a freak now, Vera shook her head again as she held on to Fu's hand as if the half-nymph was a lifeline to sanity. "N-no, you're not...you're....fine," Vera said, looking down at the ground. Taking another deep, hiccup-y breath, Vera let go of Fu's wrist and pulled her own away to bury her face into her knees, holding herself close as her wings quivered in discomfort and nervous energy.
Staying that way for a moment, faint sobs still heard occasionally in the rushing wind, things calmed down for a bit. And then the changes Vera had gone through receded, leaving the pale-skinned half-elf everyone knew. Or thought they knew, so much bottled up that she couldn't talk about Vera sometimes felt like a stranger to herself. But the wings stay, comfortingly warm as they moved to enclose Fu from raindrops as a REAL storm came in over the city. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry you have to have me as a stepmother..." Vera stated, so soft it was doubtful the shapeshifter could hear her. "I'm better...now..." Standing, Vera brushed herself off and grimaced at the shredded pieces of her shirt. Sighing, Vera bent to pick them up, the wings folding close against her back. Stuffing the piece of cloth she found into her pocket, the slender half-elf hunched her shoulders, playing with the top ridge of a wing like other girls played with their hair, nervous and not wanting to deal with people again at that moment. "I DO like Baihu...I just don't feele like he's getting a good deal," Vera stated, taking another deep breath before tugging at the steel door as if she hadn't been the one to tear it off her hinges. Getting it loose with a squeal that made her wince, Vera left it open and left the others to head back down into the mall as her wings slid back into her body, shoulders hunched in tightly-closed discomfort and still-present emotional turmoil.(...gyah. Why do I always choose to have the moodiest characters?? x_X sorry... sweatdrop ish...)

Kurai seemed a bit sceptical about the whole thing after Vera sad that she was better. He didn't want to bother them if he was just a nuisance to them, but he decided to take what he was told and to roll with it. I take it that it is wedding trouble then I you're sure I'm not a bother I'll stay but if you want me to go I will Kurai wasn't really sure what was going on but he didn't want to make things any worse then things already seemed in bad shape for them You just seem to have a lot on your mind right now so I don't really want to get in the way... but... if you need help clearing your mind I could help Kurai said hesitantly cause wasn't sure if that was the problem but also didn't want to be just some random guy watching everything happen. but I must say you wings are quite fascinating Kurai says to try to relive Vera in any way possible. He then followed her down the stairs but he gave her a little space just incase she needed it. Then the female had started to talk to Kurai Why are you spending so much time talking to them? You always seem to have me do that for you, kinda surprising to see you talk so much Kurai didn't really know how to respond but he tried I don't know... I have been wondering that myself lately Kurai wasn't sure what to do next, so he just followed behind for the time being. (lol its alright)

Fu let Vera free as she seemed to have some control over her emotions, but held the woman's hand so she didn't feel alone. "That's right you do have a choice. You have a choice to make my father continue with his commitment to you, to run away, or whatever, but a real woman gets what she wants." It almost sounded like a battle speech about what Vera should do to herself. "I think because my father couldn't look at you mean that he was just as hurt as you are. He isn't proud of it, but at the same time he doesn't want to hold you back. He had no balls.Be a woman and get up and tell him what you think and force him to take responsibly for his actions."

"Um..." Vera's eyes widened, and she flushed. "U-unless I'm really upset, I couldn't do that..." she murmured, voice quiet. Hand passing in Fu's, Vera used her free hand to scratch at the back of her head. "I'm just...not, like that. I mean, I've gotten in peoples' faces before..." The flush deepened as Vera remembered poking Azure in the chest, and her eyes widened even more. "Oh no! What will everyone think, won't they be horrified I actually got mad at my fa-..." Looking off to the side for a moment, the half-elf sighed. "At Azure? I still can't really call him my father, even if logically it explains so much," she said, gesturing with her free hand absently at her tattooed back.
Turning to look back at Kurai, Vera hung her head and flushed a little. "Thanks..." she stated, unsure how to respond. Aside from Baihu's attentions, it was probably the first time she'd been complimented. At least in regards to her wings. Usually people freaked out as if scared, or just took them in stride...just saw as Vera strange like that, yet completely normal.Just any other non-human being. Which didn't help her self-confidence or esteem at all. Taking her hand back from Fu, Vera gave the half-nymph a curious look. "I don't think I can be that forceful towards Baihu, but I could try..." Shaking her head at the thought, Vera frowned and looked ready to run again as they approached the marriage store, but then she pulled her chin down like a bull ready to charge; she was already looked down on by the children, this behavior couldn't have helped their opinion of her at all. And Fu had sounded a touch...derisively demeaning and condescending while saying Vera could run away if she wanted, but should fight for what she wanted. But first...
Vera marched right up to Azure, uncertainty in her eyes and stubbornness in everything else as she stopped and crossed her arms. "Next time, make your sudden revelations in a more decent setting, so that family problem can remain private," she stated firmly, feeling the anger and hurt rise again. It made it easier for Vera's tone to stay strong, being firm like for the dress ideas she had had. In other words, it allowed Vera to enter her more warrior-ish mindset. It helped her face problems head on, instead of just bending and letting life happen to her. "This time it was relatively minor, but if it had to do with opinions and led to tempers lost, private property damaged is less of a hassle than when everyone around not involved could be harmed," she shot at him, some annoyance in her tone at him for not taking that into consideration when she had her breakdown. But also Vera was unhappy with herself for having such a lack of control. Turning to Baihu, Vera dropped her arms and her face softened, but still stayed a touch compromising. "You're another Guardian...just standing by like that, I felt like you believed me not worth fighting to keep. I may be dual-natured, but either way I usually stay willing to listen to either side, so at least speak up and give your opinion. Just not saying anything at all...it feels like you don't care. Don't care at all, for me...is that true? Do you not care enough to fight to keep me, try to convince me to stay at your side...?" While she spoke, Vera got close and gave the tiger big eyes, raising a hand to lay it lightly along Baihu's jaw, just to harden her voice with bitterness and take her hand away...affection given, only to be taken away. She turned away from Baihu, not even looking over her shoulder. She didn't want to hurt him, but at the same time Fu's words came to mind. Well then, it couldn't hurt to indulge in some dragonic greed, would it? "How about you show me just how much you value me, CONVINCE me this is what you want. Otherwise, I don't know whether I can see you in the same light," she added, almost sadly, before heading out towards the front of the store. Raising eyebrows at Fu as if to ask how she did, Vera moved out with arms crossed unhappily over her stomach and head down, wings slowly extending so she could fly home.(moving kitty ears!! DX i want i want! *makes grabby hands* lol....kitty~ heart =^w^= lol Vera's not TOO terribly happy about it, but she tried to grow balls XD whooo, major learning moment for Vera~! ^^ tried to make it good, sorry ^^; hope it's ok...)

Kurai wasn't too sure about how to handle the situation due to little exposure to people at all. He decided that he would examine the situation to try to learn what problems some had to go through. He decided to reply with a bit of advice for help Well if you ever want to clear your mind and don't know how i would be glad to help or if you need any help at all Kurai replied with a bit of a worried sound to his voice. He kept thinking to himself that they probably didn't want him here and they didn't want him to be around see their problems. He followed them back to the store for the dress but he didn't want to cause any attention so he stayed by the door and watch what had happened. Kurai had thought about what Vera had said earlier about not being able to call him her father then the women spoke What do you think she meant by that? Kurai wasn't to sure how to respond I don't really know, maybe she didn't have a father growing up... but I can't be too sure, I can't ask either cause its not my business They both felt a bit saddened by the thought but Kurai shook it off to keep appearances. Kurai listened to the conversation as closely as he could and then he noticed that Vera's wings coming out again. Kurai could help but watch in amazement since he was always fascinated about anything with wings or any transformations. (lol you can rub them if you want but i can't give them away a friend of mine gave them to me and I'm still trying to get a good avi that complements the ears lol dont worry about it)

Fu watched with pride as Vera stood up for herself. Even if the young half dragon didn't marry her father it was still worth it just to see her act like a woman. In fact Vera seemed to surprise everyone in the group. Azure because this was the first time that she heard Vera race her voice and it was almost like there were few people who would raise their voice to him. "He summoned me." He said pointing at Baihu. Baihu looked at Azure like the man had betrayed him. "Only at his request." Baihu responded pointing at Jun. Jun lowered his head. He knew that he had done wrong. "Forgive me Vera. I can't see you as a mother and because you are younger I wanted to protect you from doing something that you didn't want to do. My father didn't really want to do it." Jun told the dragon woman. Mai smiled in her bubbly way. "Please forgive Papa. He really does love you in a creepy Loli kind of way, but he is honorable." She told the woman. It was clear that Mai was fine with Vera becoming her mother. Chen the oldest chuckled. "My. Such an outburst. The tiger family could use a strong woman like you as their mother and leader."

Vera took a deep breath, turning to listen to the children's opinions. Crossing her arms, the half-elf looked from person to person, and shook her head at Jun. "I kinda figured NONE of you could see me as your mother," she commented with a gesture at all assembled, her expression sort of amused, but mainly dry and resigned. "That's been one of the greatest weights on my mind. That I would never have your respect as a person, let alone as someone who's supposed to be your mother." Shaking her head, Vera took a deep breath and let it out in a sigh, raising calmer silver eyes to the group. She DID raise an eyebrow at Chen, and snorted. "I don't think I'm all that strong...stubborn might be a better word." Crossing her arms again, Vera stared hard and long at Baihu, in some small part of her mind wanting him to squirm. "I still need time to process this, and you know what they say...Actions speak louder than words."
Shaking her head and crossing her arms over her stomach again, Vera moved to talk to Kurai outside. "So...I could use help with mental exercises, yes," she told him, crouching down to give the boy an uncertain smile. "Would you like to go somewhere a little more private so there aren't as many distractions?" she asked Kurai.(...)

Kurai kinda laughed about the more private comment We should start off in a more private place till u get the hang of it then when you do we should move to a more obnoxious place so you can really get intune with your self Kurai wasn't really sure where to go because he was still new so he asked about a place soooo.... um.... im still a little new around these areas... have any place you want to go that would be nice? kurai said curiously, then he thought that he might want to figure out what she would want him to be as for a teacher Also you need to be calm for this so I need to know, who would you rather teach you my male form, female form, or judging that you're half dragon you'll understand me, would you rather me be in my wolf form, just so you can stay calm through the whole thing(sorry its late at night and cant think of much right now)

The half-elf sighed, standing and shrugging a single shoulder. "I enjoy being among trees, but we wouldn't be as likely to be interrupted if we went to my place." Shaking her head, Vera looked at Kurai with some curiosity. "I don't know, I've never really tried talking to other animals, all that much," she admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. "I'm curious to see you as a wolf though...I'm sure you make a really handsome wolf," she assured the shapeshifter, trying to smile again. But she was still uptight and feeling emotional about what had just happened, so raised her hands palm up in an not-knowing gesture. "I don't know what would help most, honestly...I don't know if at this point I could even concentrate. I have a lot on my mind, now," Vera sighed, sounding frustrated.(no problemo....and i forgot...... *plays with cat ears* =owo= kitty! lol gack, short =_= bleh)

Kurai kinda laughed Well where ever you feel the most comfortable, thats the key focus right now Kurai listened to her handsome wolf comment No one really says much about my wolf form and I don't really get a good look at myself in my wolf form so I wouldn't be able to say, kinda funny though, every chance I get I will change into it, just feel more free ya know Kurai laughed about it but then kinda looked a bit down remembering about the time he first woke up in the middle of know where when he first met the female and his wolf, but after a few seconds he shook it off and continued on. actually its good that you have a lot on your mind that actually helps me out a bit kurai said as he put his hand on Vera's shoulder. You just tell me where to go and which teacher you want and I'll teach you the techniques to calm your mind(lol u really like my ears don't you? and dont worry its ok to have a few short post every once in awhile, though i wish i could get my post longer look at your then at mine it just looks pathetic lol)
