None of Hellma's bunch rolled this lucky escape number ~ tough luck!
The majority of students having cleared out, Hellma surveyed those who remained with a smirk. "Well then...where were we? Ah yes..." Claws plucked at her blouse and...she was buttoning it up. Oh thank Jack she had been just playing around ahahaha...several students relaxed slightly. "Well, that is enough of that! The time, it is very late, and this forest full of dangers. Let us get you snots back now?" Wait...she sounded, of all things, pleasant. Maybe the stories were wrong? Maybe she was really a nice person after...
"Up we go!"
The forest shadows converged on the students, and where they were once teasing now they gripped at the students with firm, icy hands and lifted them up by the ankles. There was a brief moment where they might have slipped past, but alas, luck was not with them this night! The hands gripping Coralie gave the reaper a firm shake as the headmistress chatted pleasantly, "Such bravery! I do admire it! But you seem to lack a certain sense of self preservation, yes?" The headmistress surely approved of Lilith's attempt to defend herself as well, but her shadows didn't hesitate to bat the damned soul away as they hoisted her up. Claire's stomach did, however, manage to get an interesting taste of the shadows as they wrapped around her midsection.
Hellma began to stroll back toward the school, and the shadows followed, with upsidedown students either struggling or simply swaying back and forth in that chill grip. Morton dipped dangerously low several times but happily didn't get anything chipped off during the trip. Cristof managed to keep limbs intact, though there was a rather iffy moment with a sharp tree branch, but the science department would have been able to fix him better than new even if it had...well, it didn't, so no worries!
While staying still didn't save Barth from Hellma, it did save him a walk back from the forest. Good job, Barth! Colette, sadly, did not get a chance to see which lingerie set Hellma was wearing today, a loss her nightmares will surely mourn. Oh but wait, nightmares rejoice! Hellma was singing now, cheerfully! And was she listing slightly to the side? Oh Jack, were the shadows joining in?!
"Ehhhhhn the tinker he did tooooy ~ !
With the witch's maiden clock!
For as her he~art did tick,
So his somethingsomething....lunge and rock ~ !"
Speaking of rocking, it is to be hoped that Lizzy wasn't prone to motion sickness, as the shadows begans to sway with the headmistress. If Tess managed to remain unconcious through this, she's definitely the luckier of the two! Eventually though, the odd little caravan stopped by the monster dorm, and then the demon dorm. The undead dorm had it's quick drop off, and then finally they stopped at the reaper dorm, where the shadows uncermoniously dropped the remaining students on the doorstep, Ashford falling heavily on top of the others.
For a moment Hellma stared. There is a strong possibility that she was wondering where she was and why there was a pile of students in from of her. There is an equal possibility that she was wondering how much their organs would fetch at the local market, and if she had enough ice to find out. Eventually she turned away and walked back toward the school, voice soon raising horridly in the distance.
"Aaaaan the shaft did temble ~
Aaaaan the gear she did qu~ake!"
Soon it faded away to nothing, leaving students wondering what the hell just happened and was it really, truly, over now?
