He shrugged. "In the sexual way? Only two. I have refined the art of seduction to get my family willing donors, though." Something he did not enjoy doing; the look in his face conveyed that. He saw her bite her lip and noted absently he'd like to do that.

"Alright." Mala offered a small smile to Angel, even if she did feel a little nervous with the girl resting her head so close to her neck. Despite this, she went on to continue her conversation with Riley and Van. "I'm far from poor, so I'm pretty sure we're all going to be completely wasted by the night's end." she said softly with a slight bit of amusement.

Ceri nodded a little. "I see..." she said. She kept quiet for a while, thinking about why she was reacting the way she was. IT was horrible.

He made a soft humming noise. "You're thinking about something. What're you thinking about?"
Angel frowned slightly. "Vampires can't get drunk. Like, ever. I tried once. Alek said I drank half the vodka in the world, but I don't think it was that much."

"Im thinking about life, in general. And my brother.....I haven't seen him in years....He just up and left," said Ceri quietly. You could tell she was still hurt by it. She then cracked her neck. "That's all."

"Family shouldn't leave family behind," Alek muttered. "That's one of the principles my kind functions on." Leaving family without due cause was a terrible thing to do in vampiric society.

Ceri whispered, "Mine did. That's why I never really trust." She didn't realize that Alek could hear this. SHe crossed her arms again, right at her waist. She just looked at the woods ahead of her.

Alek considered a moment, then walked closer to her. "I might not act it, but I have trouble trusting from when my mum killed herself and my dad attempted to murder Angel because of her wings." He held his hand out, offering to hold one of hers.
"Oooh!" Angel's wings folded against her back as they rustled excitedly. "I used to play this really neat game, where—" Her face suddenly fell as she remembered something. "The game needs flowers," she mumbles. "The special midnight flowers that grew in my garden." A few tears slipped down her face.

"I wonder, is Dwarven ale any different from the stuff taverns have?" Riley mused, already looking forward to the party, if you could call it that.
"Oh yeah, it's supposed to be way more potent and ten times easier to get drunk off the stuff." Van said with a bit of a smirk. He'd treated Riley to his first night of booze when he turned old enough, which was thankfully after Mala had left to study, or they never would've gotten away with it. They learned something that night: Riley was a light weight when it came to liquor, and Van was already entertained by the effects of potent Dwarven ale on him.

Ceri blushed. She said, "Thank you, Alek, for the thought....It was a long time ago.....I'm over it....It just sneaks up from time to time..." She nodded at him. "Just be thankful you still have your sisters."

He let his hand fall to his side again, although he continued walking close to her. "I am," he said softly. "Even when they're being rather annoying." He said that loud enough for Angel to hear him, and she said something very, very inappropriate about him in vampiric tongue.

Mala gave a look of sympathy towards Angel. "Don't worry too much about it, okay? Things'll get better over time for you. Who knows? You might all find a new and better home someday." she assured her before going on to say what she wanted to Riley and Van. "I just thought of something insanely hilarious yet insanely stupid. Why don't the three of us have a drinking contest?"
