Sky looked at the man. She at man with a calmed face one that wasn't quiet sure how react. "You're a strange man." She commented to him. She wasn't afraid to put the negative comment in the forefront. "Society does hate love. That is my belief. I can point out laws and other stats to prove it. That's why I never bother to fall in love." She told the teacher. "And I don't need college. I'll end of being employed in the family business of being a sandman. Two weeks training and I'll be out in the field."

Tristan walked out onto the bleach and pulled her date along. She stayed away from her siblings who seemed to be talking to a man down the beach a bit. Once she find a spot the girl sad down and pulled out a wallet before reaching in and pulling out castle making items. They would be the tools of battle. She handed a second set to Conan. "Lets ask each other questions while we build." She commented and started to dig. "Favorite color?"

 Conan Smith Conan was pulled along by Tristan as he observed the beach, it was his first time here, and noticed a group of people in the distance before his attention went back to Tristan as they sat down at a good enough spot. He watched as she pulled out a bunch of sand castle supplies and gave some to him. "I would have to say green.. and yourself..?" He replied curiously as he gathered some lightly moist sand and started putting it into a bucket.

Tristan had started to pile some sand into a bucket when Conan asked her the question. "Wow. We like matching colors. My favorite is purple. Okay how about a pet. Do you have one? Or if you don't what would you want?" Tristan asked the teen.

Conan Smith "I used to have a pet cat at one point.." Conan replied as he remembered his orange tabby. "But he died of old age recently.. Lived for 28 years.." He added as he started making a wall of sand around him with his hands. "And yourself?" He asked with a light smile.

As a sandman all she had a few. "My family has pet Moles and Tapirs. I wish I have a had a pet cat. They're a lot smarter and cuter than the ones that my family gets." She answered. She really didn't want a yelping dog to deal with.

Conan Smith "My cat liked to eat and sleep..though I found it a bit weird that the neighbor's dogs were scared of my cat though, I never found out why.." Conan replied as he remembered every time his cat went over there.

 Show Me How To Lie....
With the combination of such a serious face and the insult, the teacher couldn't help but laugh. "So I have been told." he agrees, restraining his laugh to a small chuckle. As she persisted in her comments about society and love, he simply raised a brow. "I'd like to think that society is working on it. Change is hard, you see, and things like marriage weren't even designed for people in love. The concept of love changes from person to person, but if people avoid it, then I see a much lower chance of acceptance being widespread." he raised a brow at her on her comment about falling in love, and couldn't help but grin again. "That's the beauty of it all. Love us uncontrollable, and it will take with it who it will. The absolute worse kind is one-sided." he became distant for a moment, as if remembering something, before quickly snapping back to the present. "Become a sandman? How does that work, exactly? Don't tell me the song is accurate."

Tristan smiled and let out a laugh of joy and amusement. That cat sounded like a master of all and didn't put up with anything. "That cat must have been great. I'm sure you really loved him to death." The teen commented.

"As for being a sandman we use sand of the magical type. We can go invisible and sneak into a persons room spreading the dust of their eyes. Haven't you ever wanted to know how your eyes became all crusty over night?"

Conan Smith "I guess, but he was pretty lazy, so I never knew how he did it." Conan replied with a light laugh, finishing a circular wall and started the towers.

Listening to her short tirade with amusement, the older man simply shrugged. "Something for the best is never easy." he shares, unmoved by her speech. "And a sixth grade reading level is far easier to work with than no reading level at all. It covers the basics, and provides a nice foundation to build off of. But then again, it's easiest to get through to the masses with simple words. No one likes a know it all." he smirks faintly, shifting his attention to the second conversation going on. He paused before answering, as if considering her question. "I suppose I have, at some point. It just seemed like another part of life."

Tristan's castle started to look something like a mot and bailey castle as she started with a mound and then taking her tools and started to build a castle. "Would you ever want another cat again?" The purple haired girl asked with a smile.

"Yeah, but they don't know what the words coming out of a politicians mouth really mean too. Have you ever sat and listen? They every once and a while will throw out a 'big' word here and there." The oldest Charbonneau sister commented. She was finally able to drop the sandman issue.

Conan Smith Conan's castle soon came into shape as he made two tall towers and part of the main castle. "Maybe, but it wouldn't be the same.." He replied honestly as he looked at her.

Beginning to enjoy this small debate, the drama teacher grinned again. "And they change around the wording, or just use a synonym. You'd be surprised how many people oppose something using a slang word, when the support the same thing using a more sophisticated word." he agreed, reaching one hand up to brush his fingers through his hair and pushing his bangs from his face. "But that's exactly the argument for higher education. The more people that take advantage of their opportunities for school, the more people we have that are qualified to think for the less intelligent masses."

Tristan smiled as she started with a basic tower on her castle. She was pretty far behind the her new boyfriend. "I agree it really is never the same. But there is always hope for a better tomorrow."

Sky was going to have to disagree with Adney. She even shook her head to show that she rejected that idea. "Higher education isn't for everyone. If you can stay smart and do something else it's just as good. I think continuing live learning is better. You can take community classes to learn more."
