"Gross..." His ears flopped out to the sides, and had he been in his human form, he may have turned a slight shade of green...

Tila nodded. "Yea, that's what we got to do is feed them chewed up worms or they will die." She said. "Go get Xen and make him come take care of them. Did he ask you to revive them? if he did they are his responsibility." She said.

Rose smiled. "Your welcome dear. Just rest. I'll stay with you." She said smiling and held onto Sally's hand as she watched her, happy she was alright.

Xen and Fred
"Dad, I want to be a sorcerer when I grow up." Xen said happily while they were both eating their lunch.

Fred coughed up the food in his mouth.

"Are you okay dad?" Xen rubbed Fred's back.

"Why do you want to be a sorcerer?" Fred always thought that Xen will become a teacher or an explorer or a doctor. Sorcerer never cross his mind.

Xen started to tell about Tala revived the dead birds. "So I thought when I become a sorcerer and you died, I can revive you back to life."

Fred put Xen on his lap. "Xen, I rather you not do that."

"Why? Don't you want to be with me forever?" Xen gazed up to his dad's eyes.

Fred sighed. "Its against the cycle of life. Everyone will die in the end and new life will be born. It's bad to raise the dead. For one thing, sometimes the person isn't the same person you knew before. Sometimes it become a monster."

"I don't understand dad..." Xen was confused.

"You will understand it when you are much older. You just need to know there is bad consequences that you have to pay when you bring back the dead to life."

"Okay... I'm going out to the woods again." Xen replied and gathered his stuffs before leaving. He can see that his father was upset about it. "I won't be far. I promise."He said before his father could say it.

Seeing the back of his son, he was reminded of his old experience. It happen when he was just a lad. He once worked as a cook in a mansion in his father place when he was too sick. There he saw how his young master tried to revive his dead kind brother using black magic. He was able to do it but his brother wasn't fully the same. Fred once caught him eating a raw uncooked food. Unable to cope, Fred and his dad quit the job and leave the place. They never heard from the rich family ever again.

"Yes...?" Tala's ears flicked backwards,

Hearing a sort of 'crark' he turned his attention to a bird in the air, it's plumage as black as coal, yet with a selection of feathers a crimson red...

It landed on his head, watching it's brethren as they skittered around beneath the feet of the 'large beasts that talked'

Tala was suddenly forced onto his hind legs as one of the not-so-brightly-coloured-chicks made a lunge for his front paws.

Without thinking, Tala came down on the squawking cretin, crushing one before beheading another.

From its perch on his head, the crow-like-chick continued to watch, tilting its head as the 'large beasts that talked' destroyed the rest of its clutch.

4laugh "Woah!" Seeing Tila lunge at him with her claws, Tala leapt high to avoid her, dislodging the bird on his head. It took to the air with a disgruntled 'crark' before taking up refuge in a nearby tree where it glowered at her from a safe distance.

"What's the big idea?" Tala growled, also deciding to keep a safe distance...

Tala looked up at the bird, then returned to his human form.

"It didn't attack us like the others..." Tala noted, "Also, it's plumage is different..."

Seeing Tala in his new form, the bird fluttered down, landing upon his shoulder for a closer inspection, before turning it's head to glare at the panther.

"Erm..." Tala looked at Tila, "Something kinda went wrong...but this little one's fine." He switched the attention to the bird on his shoulder, "Isn't she a beaut?"

He lifted his arm, slightly bent so she could perch on it. The bird hopped down onto his arm and fluffed up her wings before casually starting to preen herself.

"I know..." sweatdrop "That's because she's special." He smiled weakly; the bird, sensing his unease gave a soft 'crark' and nuzzled against the side of his head before flapping her wings to shake off the loose feathers from her preening.

"I didn't expect what happened, to happen, and I don't plan to do it again in a hurry...but she's really quite the opposite of her clutch..."
