OOC: Things are going with my mom. It's just they've only given her a year and s**t, so yea. That's about as good as it's going to get, eh?
IC: Jacen read silently through every page of the electronic documentation. And it was all one hundred percent correct, so he surmised, with the exception of two things. And those things bothered him. Over and over again, did he read those pages. He wanted it to not be right. He wanted whoever got all this information to be wrong, but somewhere, somehow in his gut he knew it was the truth. It was especially evident when he compared a picture of his newfound sibling with a picture of himself, that they so convieniently had in the file. There was no mistaking the resemblance.
Out of frustration, Jacen dropped his head and covered his eyes. This couldn't be happening, he thought as he sat somewhat motionless as the wall came crashing down.
"Friend or Foe this time?," he heard someone say as the dust settled. Probably Penance, judging by the voice. Jacen kept silent.
"Scion, look away from the monitor."
And he did just that in time to avoid benig seriously blinded by cathode rays. Still, it took a few minutes for his eyes to seriously adjust to the light and when they did, he saw everyone was congregated in a large group. Brotherhood and X-Men all working together. Jacen shook his head again, and stood up when an older gentleman started to plug away on a console next to his.
"You never answered me," Penance asked out of annoyance.
Jacen just walked up to her and looked her dead in the eye. "That's because I didn't want to." He cleared his throat and proceeded to continue. "As long as we're all in here, you have nothing to worry about from me. Not saying that I'm going to be friendly, but we do need to co-exist peacefully to get out of this s**t." He heard a couple of words of agreement from the group. Meanwhile, another of the group was speaking with someone else new. Apparently, they had just arrived as well.
"Cut the chatting short, will you two? We're on the run, remember?," said Wanda in her normal angry tone of voice.
Some things never change, Jacen thought as he let her agitation start to fuel his own energies. The older bloke was still hammering away at the computer console, trying to access something. Jacen peered over his shoulder once to see and then he quickly moved away. Apparently, he was trying to find a good layout of the facility.
Jacen felt they had a brief spot of time, so he went and scoured some of the deceased comp lab techs for anything useful. Thankfully for him, he found a half pack of cigarettes which he swiped. As he lit one up, he looked over and saw that same short blonde girl giving him a rather disgusted look. And he knew he was going to have to say something to her sooner or later. Sooner or later.....

The past twenty four hours had been nothing like anything Alanna had ever experienced. She mostly kept quiet and behind people to avoid being hurt. She wasn't a fighter really. She never had to use her abilities to do anything other than hide. But on her own terms, she was trying to figure things out.
In several places of the base, she had to grab onto somebody's arm. In the more mechanical areas her sight was dark. The air didn't give her much knowledge of the things around her. But this room gave her more to work with, the stone on the floors and walls were natural enough and dank enough that the elements let her see her world... and she didn't trust several people there. They gave off a weird aura.
Quite frankly, the Demon guy who just appeared didn't sound friendly or feel it to her. She half expected him to grow ten heads and devour all of them. But it seemed like Anna and Penny and maybe some others were much more knowledgeable of such things. So Alanna wasn't going to say anything. Scion scared her a bit to. Even when the elements tapped around him, they turned black making him invisible to her in a way.
But what amazed her the most was when Jamie lit the room up, she felt like she could really see for the first time since she was 11. The light he focused held so much elemental energy that she could really see.
"What are we waiting for?" She whispered to Jamie, "This seems like a bad place to stop. Do they always do this?"

"Wow, that's a cool power," Penny said as Victor left the mainframe with their way out. She was definately ready to leave. This place probably wasn't going to get very friendly anytime soon. She was waiting for the Storm Troopers.
"This way," He motioned to Anna to start taking out strategic walls. Penny looked behind them to make sure that they had everybody together. She fell back to keep a look out for anybody following them. Their trail wasn't very hard to miss.
OOC: Sorry for this being short, I didn't know where Moren wanted to take this escape. Are we running into anything before we get the heck out of Dodge?

Anna slouched against a console as people talked, trying to decipher the best ways of escape. Tactics weren't her strong suit, she just did what she was told. Although she looked somewhat casual with her posture, her eyes betrayed her, shifting around, watching people with intent. She felt uneasy with so many people in the one room. Considering that only a few hours ago, these people were all at each others' throats, she didn't trust more than a handful of them. In fact, the could trust a grand total of 3 of them. Victor, Jamie and Penance.
She didn't smile when they were greeted by a large man, looked strangely demonic. She didn't deny him their company, for all she knew he was just another prisoner getting free, so be it. But at the same time, she made it very clear with her lack of interest in him that he was not welcome, nor was his company desired.
The light thrown from the monitor was a welcome change. For the first time in a long time, Anna felt like she could see properly. It was almost comforting. She could look around and see everyone in the room. Near the back of the room, the young man everyone seemed to call "Scion" was rummaging for items. He picked up a discarded cigarette packet, and hastily lit it. Anna just stared at him, with a look that said nothing. Obviously, she wasn't shaken by the fact that he was swiping smokes, it was how she'd come to know him. Loser.
He returned her glare with an odd look, almost of pity, or... It was indescribably confusing. So she simply turned her head away and tried not to think about it. Whatever problems he had were none of her business. She flicked her hair, made sure it was straight, then continued slouching.
The teacher, Victor, stood with a grin, he'd apparently got enough data to deduce the best way of escape. And he immediately set to work, pointing Anna in the right direction. She stood from her relaxed stance and rubbed her shoulders as a brief warm-up. Without another word, she walked to where Victor had pointed, and carved another clean doorway through the solid wall of concrete and steel.

{Demon looks rather ragged, actually, like he's been to hell and back. Which, in many ways, he has. Actually, there were a couple of things that I wanted them to run into. A couple of mutated, Umbrella-Corporation style things.
Penance - I can arrange for Storm Troopers. I actually have the Imperial March on my MP3 player.}
He sniffed the air briefly, and as he looked around, a large X-shaped scar was visible on is cheek (Kenshin style). "Something is loose here. Not human. Not even close," he says, tensing noticibly.
"Loose? What're you talking about?" Morgan said, still carrying Freya. That stungun had taken a lot out of her.
"Get down!" Demon cries, tackling Anna, just as a dark form leapt out through the hole she'd just made in the wall.
The thing that had attacked Anna turned to face the group. It was covered in scales, and reptilian in appearance. But it had human features as well. It walked on two legs, albeit crouched like some sort of animal, and had two large, very muscular arms that ended in cruelly hooked claws.
It roared at them, revealing glisteningly sharp fangs, then charged again. Demon grappled with the creature, stopping it in mid-charge. "Go! Now!!" he cried, still grappling with the creature. It managed to throw off Demon, slamming him into a wall, leaving a noticible dent in the concrete.
It roared again, and leapt in them, but was repelled by some invisible force, leaving a few ripples in the air. Astral's hand was raised. "Forcefields. I do those," she said.

OOC: Running into things is cool. Haha, Storm Troopers... Nice. Can they ride around on their little hover car things which I can't name like on Endor? Then little Ewoks will jump out of the jungle and help us? Yub yub. (My daughter walks around babbling and sounds like an Ewok, quite funny)
IC:
"You guys take all the fun away," Penny said as the group was pretty much forced out of the room by this Demon guy and Astral lady. Not that it was really true, as soon as they got through to the corridor Victor wanted them, another scaly ugly thing jumped out to meet them.
"Jamie, enough light?" Penny asked quickly.
"Yup," Jamie said and flared up the room. Those who hadn't sheild themselves fast enough were ready to go. The lizard creature was blinded and off his game immediately. Penny jumped up and used everything left in her muscles to bring the pipe she was holding down across the neck and shoulders of the creature. It jolted in pain but wasn't completely downed. It took a swipe at Penny's feet as she jumped away.
Penny cursed as she felt a sharp pain. She did her best not to focus on it. It would go away soon enough... hopefully.

OOC: Sorry if I have this lizard thing wrong. . . How human is ********. It isn't enough that we're dealing with trying to work with the brotherhood, stay away from guards and meeting new mutants is it? First a demon shows up, then a lizard. Why can't we just catch our breath?"
Jamie stared at the lizard, as it looked warily at him, ready to strike at any time. Jamie smiled slightly and raised his flashlight, with the light turned up so that it was pointed towards the lizard. He turned it on, and at the same time pumped it up with his power, temporarily blinding the beast. He drove his knee into it's stomach while it was screeching. Then the lizard shook his head and looked up to see that he was surrounded by multiple copies of Jamie. He had hit it with enough light to make anyone see double, and with his power he created enough illusions that it should have trouble thinking for a few minutes.
Jamie tilted his head slightly back. "Hey, Penny. Are you alright?" He asked over his shoulder.

"Whoa," was all Alanna could say as she saw the read and orange lines of massive fireballs shoot through the darkness of her site. That was control. Could she learn control like that over the elements?
But boy did it smell, "I know I haven't said much through this all, but that creature is really starting to stink up the hallway. Can we continue this conversation in another corridor?"
She could feel her appearance turning with the feeling of her nausea from the smell of burning scales. Her hair and skin was probably changing to some green color.

"Very well. Next time, I won't save you from becoming a meal," he responds with an irritated tone. He sniffed the air again. "More will be coming. We must move quickly," he says. There are several roars from behind them, coming from the lab where the other had been blocked by Astral. "You must flee now! I will hold them off!" he cries, motioning for them to run.
One of the creatures comes bounding down the hallway, using it's arms as extra legs to give it a boost of speed. It leaps at the group, and Demon's arm shoots out, catching the thing in the chest, and knocking it back a few feet. It snarls at him, revealing it's teeth, and slashes at him, tearing through his shirt and leaving a rather large gash in his chest.
He clutches at his chest, trying to hold the wound closed. He catches a glimps of his hand, and his face fills with a look of terror. "N-no...." he mumbles, then let's out a scream of intense pain.
He falls to his knees, hunched over. The wound begins to scab over, and his body begins to change. His eyes change from dull blue to pure red, tow small bulges appear on his shoulderblades, pushing through the shirt. Two massive, skeletal wings burst from his shoulders, and he cries out in pain. Skin begins to appear on them, as does leathery flesh, giving them a batlike appearance. His top canine teeth elongate into a pair of fangs, and a two small nubs of bone press through his forehead, forming a pair of small horns. His fingers elongate, and become claws, and the muscles in his arms and legs begin to bulge. His shoes are ruined as his clawed feet press through the toes. He is in obvious pain through all this, and when the change is complete, his hunched over on his hands and knees, breathing heavily. He looks up a the creatures, then at the youths behind him, then back to the creature again. The lizard-man roars at him again, and two other come running down the wallway, screeching madly.
((And THAT is why he's called demon.))

John watched as Anna responded to Demon getting out of his 'line of fire' by telling him to never touch her again. He took a sideway glance at Noko. She was sound alseep, her head resting on his shoulder. Great, he thought, The one time someone acts as bad as I do and she's asleep to miss it. Then again she wouldn't be in this state if it wasn't for that mutant-hater and his stupid bomb....and of course the 'loving' X-men go and save the boy that was after one of them. And looke where we are now. Another bunch of mutant haters. I'm surprised to see that the X-men were so willing to take these people out. John snapped back to attention when he heard a cry of pain. He looked up just in time to see that Demon had transformed. He was about to ask why when he noticed that a lizard man had appeared. John walked up until he was standing side by side with demon. He took out his lighter and started it. "You know as much fun as it is burning everyone alive... I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!!! John cried. He sent three fireballs past the lizzard-man and watched them hit the computer he was standing by hind. The explosion that followed it sent the lizzard flying foward. John then took the fire from the computer and made a giant blade in the air, and then sent it crashing down... BAM!.... the lizzard man's head came rooling to a rest a Pyro's feet. He looked up and saw two more comming. "I'll deal with one, and you can take the other," he said to Demon. He took his blade of fire and lifteted into the air again. This time he formed it into a giant hand with a ring on it. SMACK!!! The lizzard-man closest to him was pimped smacked into the nearest wall. John walked forward to the guy to finish him off.

The sky was blue and the scent of spring was in the air as she and wanda, who she knew by name only, were seated on cushy fainting couches in grecian style dresses. She streached out and grinned over at wanda who looked compleatly confortable being fed grapes by Ewan Mc Greggor in a loin cloth. Looking at her own attendee she couldnt help but smirk at the fact that Karl Urban looked really hot dressed as Caesar from the Xena tv show...and that he looked even better rubbing her back. She sighed happily. " This is the life.." she muttered as the bird chirping was replaced with yells and an explosion. Noko groaned and looked up jut in time to realize her Karl Urban was not there...wanda was irritated and pyro was yelling.
I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!!!
Noko winced and sighed her eyes fluttering shut again from being worn out. Looking over she blinked at wanda who was staring at her like she was insane. Thats when she realized she hadnt been keeping track of her powers and she had leaked her dream to the girl. " Sorry" she muttered " Sometimes i just...forget. I have weird dreams" She apologized still holding onto pyro.
