.Johann.Tiernan. Johan actually laughed slightly, shutting his book and tucking it away.
"Not now... perhaps when we go back outside. Your hair looks so pretty in the sun."
The compliment was given with a slight grin before the man offering it returned to his food and drink without missing a beat. "Oh... okay..." He smiled slightly, releived that he wouldn't have to stay still just yet. He looked back down at his fish, mouth watering slightly, and began to eat. He ate slowly and perfectly neatly, the very image of a cat eating delicately to make sure that no mess was made when the meal was finished.
"Hmm?" Shin seemed to freeze, turned slightly towards Haro, his frosty blue eyes mingled with an expression of confusion and a sort of deep, almost pathetic, pain, like a child. Over all, he looked surprised and not a little hurt. "O-okay... should I... leave then?" he asked somewhat nervously. All his confedence seemed to have disapeared as he stumbled over his words, making him look even more like a child.

Mie-tanuki "Hmm?" Shin seemed to freeze, turned slightly towards Haro, his frosty blue eyes mingled with an expression of confusion and a sort of deep, almost pathetic, pain, like a child. Over all, he looked surprised and not a little hurt. "O-okay... should I... leave then?" he asked somewhat nervously. All his confedence seemed to have disapeared as he stumbled over his words, making him look even more like a child. Memories continued to flood the boy's delirous mind, making reality a bit fuzzy around the edges. Holding a hand to his hot forehead, tears pricking at amber eyes, Haro quickly closed aforementioned golden orbs, fingers digging into his scalp.
He...he looked so much like Wei, save for the eyes. Shin looked a lot like the people of his memories. ...then again, it had been a few years, maybe the young male really couldn't remember what his owner and Wei had looked like, just giving them a slightly altered features...but he swore-
His head felt heavy from all the thick, slow thinking...thinking that pushed him to dig into past hurts...and the past really didn't matter right now, but his disoriented mind thought otherwise.
"I-" He really didn't know what to say, words forming in his mind but choking up and bubbling over into a strangled whimper when he turned to speak.
"Not...you," he mumbled, clearing his head for a moment. Not Shin, not Shin... "I hate Wei," he added in a dry tone, the words not giving him the happiness he thought they would.

"Wei...?" he asked, curious. Who was Wei? But it was evident that he was releived that Haro didn't hate him. His whole self seemed to relax and he seemed less nervous, although he was still worried about the youth in the bed. "Who is Wei...? Or is that something you don't want to tell me? It's alright if you don't..."

Laughing to himself in a sort of sad way, as if something inside was making him realize how utterly pathetic his past was, Haro turned to Shin with overly glassy eyes. A regretful smile twitching onto slick lips, the boy answered in the best way possible...
"I'm not sure if I know enough words to explain him," he murmured, voice lowering as he thought for a moment. How could he ever figure out Wei in just a few sentences? "I think...I think he was my owner's friend..." He started, pausing for a few moments to recalculate what he should say, refigure how much he wanted Shin to know.
"I think he was my friend too, I mean, I'd like to think that. He...knew I could look like a human, and he taught me how to speak for the most part," he added with a wistful laugh, cheeks flushing painfully at the thought.
"But he...I didn't like the things he did to me," he whispered, tearing his gaze away with a frown.

"The things he... did to you...?" Shin asked, his voice a mixture of curiosity and concern. He wanted to know... wanted to try and help the boy, but he didn't want to pry... Memories were painful... he knew that from experience... "Shh... it's okay..." he said, walking to the bed to sit down by Haro. He stroked his brow softly, brushing some of the sweaty locks from his glistening forehead, or what he could see of it (because of the washcloth). "He's not here now... he can't do anything to you..." he said softly, wanting to comfort the boy.

Haro wasn't sure he wanted to explain everything Wei had done just then, so instead he turned his head slightly, just enough so he didn't have to look at Shin, cheeks burning. With the fever on top of his overall shame, the teen felt like he was inside an oven, but it was just his overheated body.
Trying to shake away the groggy feelng the fever brought, Haro mustered up a smile as he attempted to explain, "He...did a lot of nice things. He taught me how to talk...and walk for that matter, and...he let me out of my cage. He wasn't a bad person," he started, more or less trying to reassure himself that Wei had some good in him.
He just wouldn't stop.
Deft fingers curled up into a loose fist, the young man ran a knuckle up bare skin. 'Haro-tch, stop...stop crying, you idiot,' he hissed against the boy's ear.
"He wouldn't stop. I asked him to," he whispered, "I asked him to stop...I- I a-asked...I...I said p-please. H-he, he taught me that...that was a nice thing to s-say...I-" Choking back on fumbled words, the younger teen placed hands over his wet eyes. He knew he was acting dumb, he knew he shouldn't be crying...Wei wasn't here. He hadn't seen him for a year and...and he shouldn't be crying.

"Shh... it's okay..." he murmured. "I won't let anyone hurt you..." He continued to run his hand through the youth's sweaty locks, massaging his scalp as he did. "No one can hurt you here..." ((Sorry... I know that's really crappy, but I have writer's block... ><))

[[It's perfectly fine. :3 I hope it goes away, writing blocks are annoying. I find drawing blocks worse though. xD]]
"I know that," he answered weakly, not quite wanting to answer at all but he felt that he was obliged to. He didn't have a clue as to where Wei was or what might have happened to him in his absence over the past year and that fact didn't comfort him in the least. He could still be...he could still be in the area and the idea frightened the boy horribly.
Stress overwhelming fragile senses, unsettled eyes stared up into blue, unwavering.
He wished he could believe Shin.

He watched the boy silently, wishing there was something he could do to comfort the boy, but it seemed no matter how hard he tried Haro was always worried over something... "Is there anything I can do for you?" he asked softly. "I... don't want to see you hurt..."

Was there anything anyone could do? Possibly...but Haro couldn't really think of anything right then. He was too tired to keep thinking about anything, much less what would help him.
You can't break my spirit, it my dreams you take... ...And as you move on, remember me, remember us, and all we used to be.
Sitting up slightly, the younger teen ran slenders fingers through damp hair, pulling back said bright locks with one hand before turning to Shin with a sad smile. "Mn, I don't think so...I'll be okay," and he truly meant it. Once this fever passed he'd be back to his normal self, all mental walls would soon be rebuilt once more.

He frowned slightly, but nodded. "O-okay..." he said softly. "Do you want to watch a movie or something to help pass time until you get better? I... I..." He paused for a moment, not quite sure what to say. He dismissed the beginning of the sentence with a shake of the head and then began again. "If there's anything you need, you can tell me."

Rubbing the back of his hand against his forehead, ridding it of its sticky feeling, Haro closed his eyes a moment letting out a sigh. He'd be okay soon...or at least he assumed since he was no longer cold at all, nor somewhere in between, just plain hot. Licking his upper lip questioningly, brows furrowed slightly at the salty taste, many of the ordinary things about humans were completely new to the younger male.
Letting his hand fall back to his lap, the bright haired nearly seventeen year old glanced over at Shin, "Nn..w-what...what is a move, a movie, anyway?" He asked with a bit of difficutly while pushing longer strands of hair off to the side in an attempt to get them off his shoulder.

((Speaking of disappearances.... *Goes to post*))
Johann watched the feline intently as he ate, a small grin playing at the corners of his mouth, and his wine glass perched delicately in one elegant hand.
"You really are adorable, you know that..."
He said, musingly.
"You do everything with such... grace... it's beautiful to watch."
The honesty in the statement was clear, and as he said it, he took another sip of wine.

((xD Welcome back.)) He blushed slightly, glancing up at the man and fumbled, nearly dropping his fork. "Ah!" He looked back down again, the blush becoming much more noticeable now that he was embarrassed about being so clumsy a split second after being called graceful.
((He's soooooo cute!! whee )) "Ummm... like moving pictures on a screen... It usually tells a story... Oh, and there's music and voices in it, too. It's sort of like watching people inside of a box...."
