"To the park then M'lady." The waiter came back setting the box down. Vincent grabbed that, walked around and pulled her chair out, being gentlemen like and escorted her back to the car. Again helping her into the car. A quick two minute journey up the road brought them to the largest park int the city. It was massive block of green and open spaces centered in the middle of the square. The cafe was blocked from view from here, his hotel just barely visible above the trees. Not that he was going back.
"I don't have a blanket, but I do have a four thousand dollar silk lined dinner jacket. There's a lot of grass, a few people. So let's pick a spot and see what we can see." His hands were surer now and weaved into hers leading her into the park. He found a spot, and idyllic spot. One straight of the movies. The park had artificial hills ever now and again. Their spot was on the crest of own of these hills with a massive willow tree just behind them. He spread out his jacket for them to sit on.

Logically, she knew that he probably would but she hated it when guys hindered their performance level for her benefit. Sal sighed and tried again, "I mean, why would you have to slow down your pace? Is it too fast to be cionsidered 'normal'?" She listened as he laid out the rest of the plan. Her head was bobbing affirmatively until he reached the part about the revolver, the one he had used that night most likely. Sal almost lost her nerve but gulped. "You had me till the big gun. Do you really think that I will be ready for that? Can't we just stay with this and the like for now?"
She had raised her purse to indicate the gun inside of it. When he had given it to her the first time, the weight had been apparent and it forced her to link her hands to hide the fact of her straining slightly with a little purse. Now though, it was hardly noticeable but still, that could not mean that she was ready for something heavier. "Anyway, we're off to the concert now, correct?" Jesus is my Lord ♥

"Indeed," she said, tugging her knees to her chest. A laugh escaped her as he admitted that he had wanted to be a pilot and admitted the desire behind that dream. No, she had not wanted to be a business owner or even a baker, no matter how much fun it had been with her mother. What had she wanted when she younger, when her family still seemed relatively normal like everyone else's? Naomi caught Vincent's face before his lips left hers. She kissed him softly before answering his question, "A singer."
"It was so weird. I was probably five years old, already had my knife from mom but I could not get it out of my head how - magical, for the lack of a better word - it seemed to be on stage. It never worked out, the planets never aligned for it to happen. He either failed the competency exam, didn't have enough money or flat out dropped out because of other issues.
"It just never happened. I tried, several times to get my PL. I am a nervous test taker and failed the test twice. Didn't have money once and then dropped out after my mother found me, she was dying.
