D i c e k i t“Even after my mirror's been shattered, I still see the reflection.”___________________________Dicekit scooted back, her nose crimson with blood. She heard a shreik from the camp entrance as her mother raced through the entrance to her kits, wrangling them back to the nursery with her tail. "You three need to stay inside! It's dangerous out here." She mewed, staring in worry at smokefoot's cold body. "What's so dangerous about it?" dicekit asked. Death all seemed simple to her. Doveflight sighed. "You'll understand when you get older. Now stay in here and i MEAN it." her mother mewed, pushing the three towards the nest. Doveflight turned and ran to owlwhisker, and dicekit could hear her mother shout. "What in the name of great starclan Happened?! I go for a walk and then i come back to find a cat DEAD! Not to mention my daughter looming over it!"

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon turned to Doveflight and Wavepelt, addressing them both. “Smokefoot ate part of the sick rabbit Duskpaw brought to camp for Willowstar to inspect...The rabbit had a disease called the 'Madness', and Smokefoot caught it. The Madness causes a cat to become bloodthirsty and confused, killing anything and everything that lives and breathes, and in Smokefoot's case, his target was Softkit. Emberpaw wasted no time in slitting his throat, and here Smokefoot lies now. Your kit Dicekit, Doveflight, apparently thought that the body looked interesting...I suggest you keep your kits in the nursery until I get the body out of here. In the mean time, make sure you don't touch his blood. The Madness can spread in several different ways...” Owltalon meowed in his typical monotone, as if the situation was simply another tedious aspect of everyday life.

Wavepelt sighed clan life is hard but this is ridiculous! "What a great time to join the clans, when a disease was making cats into murderers. Thanks Owltalon, I think that would have been something that I should've been told earlier though." Then a familiar scent drifted to him Nightclan! no wait, Stormclan?, it's that strange scent that both clans had!

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon's eyes widened even further and locked onto Wavepelt. He white tail fluffed slightly as it swayed back and forth. “Well then, Wavepelt, you might want to reconsider being a part of BreezeClan, because I fear that this is only the beginning.” His flat tone gave away no emotion, yet even a kit would know that Owltalon's temper was flaring now. The last thing the Clan needed in a time like this was a cat with one paw in each world.
[[What scent are you talking about? The Madness? .__.;;]]

Wavepelt was surprised, he was just kidding "Lighten up Owltalon, I was just joking. I would give anything to stay in the clan, even my life." Wavepelt meant that, he didn't know why but his instincts told him to protect the entire clan, and to undure whatever dangers faced Breezeclan.

“Softkit…” Oakkit murmured worriedly, butting him with her head.
“Softkit, it’s OK. You’re safe now. Emberpaw saved you…”
His fur was slick with sweat and he was shaking, his eye’s showing white around them. His breath kept coming in ragged breaths.
Oakkit was scared.

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon straightened up. He knew that Wavepelt's words were honest, but with one warrior dead and the entire Clan at risk, he couldn't tolerate jokes. “Losing a warrior is nothing to laugh at...You'll have a chance to prove your words soon enough. Now, if you'll excuse me, I believe it is time to bury Smokefoot.” He dipped his head to pick the tom's limp body by the scruff. He breathed in shallow breaths through his nose as he dragged the corpse out of the camp. Smokefoot left a trail of smeared blood on the ground as Owltalon hauled him over to the burial site. Once there, he spent a few moments digging a hole deep enough to cover the tom completely. Muttering an incantation for Smokefoot's safe journey to StarClan, he laid the tom into the hole and began pouring the dirt back into the whole. Once he finished, Owltalon raised his eyes to the sky, sending a silent prayer to StarClan for Smokefoot's acceptance. After all, the tom's horrific actions were not of his own choice... Owltalon bounding quickly back to camp and lied down once more at the edge of the clearing. He place his head on his dirty paws, eyes scanning all cats that still stood in the clearing.
[[Sorry, I just buried him quickly, otherwise his body would begin to rot, and not everyone's online, so...yeah. > >;;]]

D i c e k i t“Even after my mirror's been shattered, I still see the reflection.”___________________________A wave of guilt flooded over Dicekit as Doveflight nodded. "yes, Owltalon. I'll make sure to keep the three of them in good check." With a jolt, Dicekit realized the blood spot on her nose. Spadekit looked over at her, then her eyes went wide. "wait a minute, Dicekit, your nose!" She shrieked, scooting back into cloverkit. Dicekit trembled at the sight of her nose and let out a wail. "I Don't want to die! I wanna be an apprentice!" Doveflight looked from across the clearing and froze, then bolted to the nursery and snagged up Dicekit. "Your nose, why is it red?!" she asked, her voice panicked. "I-I stuck my nose in Smokefoot's pelt! I wanted to say goodbye!" She cried out, her eyes brimming with tears. Doveflight turned her head. "Owltalon, we have a Problem!" she called across the clearing. Dicekit trembled, and the presence of her mother wrapped around her, soothing her. "there there, my kit. It's okay. everything will be alright." the dead leader cooed.

Wavepelt padded up after Owltalon came back from burrying Smokefoot. "Owltalon, I need to apologize about joking, that's just how most loners handle sad instances. I guess I still have some of my loner spirit in me, but I know I have more clan blood than loner blood. My great-grandfather was a cat from the original clans, he called Breezeclan Windclan and all the others the old names. I'm sorry if I'm boring you should I leave?"

O w l t a l o n“Belief is not a matter of choice, but of conviction.”___________________________Owltalon flicked his tail across Wavepelt's nose affectionatly. There was no need for words here, and besides, Doveflight and Dicekit were wailing for him to come. Quick as lighting he bolted over and saw Dicekit's nose. Owltalon saw the fear in her eyes, and it pulled at his heart. He let out a soft purr. “Don't worry, young one. The only way you'll become sick is if you have an open cut and the blood touches your bare flesh. Let's take you to the river and wash it off. Doveflight, if you don't trust me with her, you may come along.” Without waiting for a reply, he bit into Dicekit's scruff and carried her away in a smooth trot as he headed out of the camp.
[[I didn't know what to do about her nose...So now I guess that it's off to the BreezeClan-SeaClan border! o.o;; And lol, you keep calling him Owlwhisker. xD Which is actually a good name... owo]]

Wavepelt was happy now, yet completely devastated about Smokefoot. He thought about asking again about where he would sleep but then he decided he should later and he just padded over to the warriors den. wait how did I know this was the warriors den? Wavepelt thought as he went in and sat while he waited for Owltalon to get back.

_________________________________________________________ Doveflight“Nothing is a dead end. You pick up the pieces and start over.”___________________________ Doveflight nodded to the tom. "i trust you with her, owltalon. I'll be in the nursery." she mewed, returning to her spot. Her two other kits were quivering. "What's wrong, little ones?" she asked. "i-is Dicekit going to die?" spadekit asked in a fretful mew. Doveflight shook her head, rasping her tongue over he kit's ear. "no, Spadekit. Dicekit will be just fine. But we have to be careful, the 'madness' could easily spread. So i want both of you to check your prey from now on before you eat, okay?" The two nodded.

He still wasn't moving, but his heart beat was steadier now.
Oakkit's hopes remained grounded, burried by her fear for her brother. What was wrong with him? Why was he shivering so? How could he be cold and still be sweating? His fur was soaked by now, and his fear-scent was strong. His claws kept coming in and out, his whiskers and tail tip twitching periodically.
She couldn't leave him. Instead, she buried her nose further into his pelt and mewed helplessly.
Without Softkit, she was lost.
