(hmm, I've been taking lessons since I was twelve, jumped my first building at fourteen)
PostPosted: Sat Apr 17, 2010 10:51 pm

(( Lessons, you say?
Back when I started, they weren't even giving those, and the sport was called "Ghetto hopping" where I was.
We just got bored, so we decided to try taking "Alternate" routes on foot races.
It kinda ended up evolving far past that, huh? XD ))

Kageko started to argue, but decided not to, fearing that her argument might insult Hiruzen. "Alright then," she responded, her small body already disappearing into the crowd as she sprinted to her home. Kageko couldn't help but think as she easily weaved through the mass of people, .

He watched her disapear from his view, and then turned to the so called "Fishing booth"."Now, you'll get what you've had coming for a long time, you friggin' fish!"
Kageko would later find him infront of the stand where you try to "catch" fish using a paper paddle, scooping the fish up, and depositing them into small bowls. Hiruzen currently hadsix bowls full of goldfish, and, under his mask, a slightly... Insane grin was spread widely, as he continued scooping up the few leftover fish.

(( Back then, it was in Atalanta, I think...
That's were I had gone for a business trip with my father.
Kinda picked it up from some neighborhood kids.
And that sounds AWESOME.
A whole slew of guys jumping about! XD ))

Kageko slipped through the crowd, trying to find Hiruzen, which was just about as easy as trying to find a needle in a haystack. the girl thought from behind her fox mask, which was completely black except for three white, whisker-like lines on each cheek and a white inside for each of the ears, . Unable to find an alternative method, Kageko was stuck with going with the crowd and keeping her eye open for her friend. However, finally, she had enough, and with that she jumped onto the top of a stand then, from there, onto the top of a building. From the building's roof, Kageko looked around for her friend as her kimono, which was completely black except for a white sash and white bands bordering the edges of the sleeves and dress, fluttered in the slight breeze. On the right side of her head, too far to the right to be covered by her fairly shallow mask, was a crescent moon-shaped hairpin, the black color of which contrasted sharply with the white of her hair. Looking around from her new vantage point, Kageko finally caught a glimpse of Hiru's fox mask and his clothes next to the fishing booth. she thought to herself as she made sure that her mask was covering her entire face while making her way towards the booth where Hiruzen was at.

Hiruzen felt a slight shiver as he scooped up an almost completely black goldfish, only it's head and the edges to it's fins a pearly white. He glaced left and right quickly, and upon finding nothing threatening, resumed his capture of the now-refilled pool of fish. He was at a festival in a village that didn't hate his guts! What could possibly go wrong here?
Aside from that, he'd even made a friend! Well, he at least liked to think of her as a friend, but then again, they'd only really known eachother for the conglomerate time of a day, so maybe it was a bit presumptious of him?

(( I can't really help you on how to really get started, Meta-san, but the first preresiquite is being physically fit.
The people who can't support their own body weight on their hands will soon fall off somewhere and break something.
The second is good hand-eye coordination. You will most likely be grabbing onto small targets in the timeframe of three or two seconds. Missing would be painful.
Flexibility is a plus, too, as well as a good dose of courage(though a sizeable amount of idiocy is just as motivational). ))

(OOC: I think Ultima has the idiocy part down xd .)

Kageko, unlike Hiruzen, tended to make friends easily and already considered the boy her friend, which was why she was currently planning a trap on him. However, it was nothing too big, just something small and simple, seeing as they haven't known each other for that long. Sneaking up quietly behind him, Kageko switched her normal, black fox mask with a much more demonic, red fox mask that she had just bought. For a weapons user, she was extremely quiet thanks to training from her older brother. Making sure to not show any signs of her sneaking up behind Hiruzen, even keeping her shadow hidden, the girl crept up behind the boy and let loose a blood-curdling yell as soon as she was right behind her friend, shaking her head furiously in an attempt to make the already scary mask even more scary.

... And he simply continued scooping away. After the next fish though, he sighed, and grabbed the two or three dozen bags of goldfish and stood up, turning to look at, "Eh? Is that you, Geko-chan? Nice mask." He slid his own mask to the side, and pulled the ear-buds out of his ears, looking down at her expectantly.

(OOC: LANCE!!! HIRUZEN WILL BE PRANKED scream scream scream scream scream !!!!!)

Pouting as she moved her mask down to reveal her eyes while still covering the lower part of her face, Kageko stared up at Hiruzen a bit before complaining, "Hmph! I will get you one day." After getting that out of her system, she responded, "Yep, it's me...," she paused a bit as she noticed all of the fish that he had caught, ".... By the way, what's up with all of the fish?". With her final sentence, she deftly moved the red mask from her face to the left side of her head while pulling down the black mask from the right side of her head to her face, doing her best to hide her whiskers as she did so.

If he had noticed her whisker-marks, Hiruzen certainly didn't show it. With a nervous chuckle, he held up the bags of fish. "Well, I used to always fail at this particular fish-scooping game, and that annoyed me beyond belief, so I kept training to master it, and now... Well, now I guess I just go over-board with it. Oh, and this one's for you!" He held out a bag containing a small black goldfish, pearly trimmings along the edges of it's fins, and a white head. The fish stared up at Kageko, seemingly puckering it's lips in an attempt to say... Something, though it wasn't quite certain as to what, exactly...

"No... He's right in front of you."

(( I'm certain he will, but calm down and let the poor boy enjoy the rest of his day. Not like he hasn't been tortured enough for a while already.
Oh, and guess what? Hiru-chan's the newest Jinchuuriki of the Gobi! *Puffs up self-rightously.* ))

"Wow…," Kageko simply replied as she heard Hiru-chan's reason, "You must be really dedicated…." When she was given the fish, her face practically lit up with joy, which Hiru probably couldn't see because of the mask. However, her enthusiasm could be heard in her voice, "Really? Thank you! Wow, the coloring is so cool!" then she thought of an idea, "Hey, Hiruzen pick up your fish and come follow me!". With that final sentence, the girl then trotted back into the crowd, making sure that her friend would keep up with her.

He blinked, before quickly picking up his little baggies and offering a quick bow to the man running the station he had just pillaged, before shooting off after Kageko. "Geko-chan, wait! What're you planning?!

(OOC: Got it 4laugh . )

Kageko continued trotting through the crowd, looking at the various stands to find what she was looking for, . With a skid, the girl suddenly stopped in front of another game booth. Lined up as prizes were various assortments of dolls and toys and whatnot, ranging from silly masks to simple aquariums to humongous dolls and items. "Wait a bit," Kageko asked Hiruzen as she went up to the stall and asked for five balls, which cost the American equivalent of $2.

The game seemed simple enough, knock all of the stacked blocks, there were three, off of the table to win a starter prize. The starter prizes could then be traded in for bigger prizes, which could then be traded in for the grand prizes. Each intermediate prize required two starter prizes and each advanced price required either three intermediate prizes or six starter prizes. Then, there were the grand prizes. Each grand prize required either three advanced prizes, nine intermediate prizes, or eighteen starter prizes.

Kageko thought to herself as she stretched a bit,
