The Incubation Facility [Open to select few](next group p29)

Saedah on insticnt had shrank back and half hid behind her fathers leg out of habit when the larger group of people entered the facility. She didn't like it when there were larges groups of people around. Her reddish eyes peered out from behind him as she noticed that a girl was speaking to her. She swallowed shrinking back a bit before her father nodded his head to the trio and the man he assumed was the gaurdian.

Kuyoja wasn't exactly the type to just start up a converstation with complete strangers, but by acknowledging them at least he was showing Sae there was no reason to be frightened.

Sae's attention was suddenly rivited on the girl who was approaching and speaking to her.

"..u.uh.." She started with a stutter her face blushing at the compliment. "t..thanks." She murmmured looking at the ground as if too nervous to make eye contact.

Suddenly a woman was there talking at them, she flinched at the rules...she didn't even want to be here. So there was no worry about her wanting to touch or run.

When they came upon the first ...egg her egg....she tried to not look at it directly. But...still she caught the color green in the corner of her eye and she couldn't help but give it a very shy look. She called it a Ashkoort. What a weird name.

She also had mentioned it was a cave dwelling type...and all sorts of horrible images popped into her head when she thought of caves.
A nudge from her fatehr indicated she needed to answer the woman.

Twsiting her hands in front of her she glanced at Peri and then looked to the ground.

"...w.will..i..it be ..b..big?" She finally managed to get out.

Peri glanced at her notes before giving a bit of a shrug. "I'm not sure how big it will get, but since it usually lives in caves, I would say it wouldn't get as big as some of the other dragons. It'll be little when it hatches and grow bigger with you."

She waited a moment to see if the shy girl had any other questions.  

[Kuyoja]

She so desperatly wanted to know if she had to take the dragon. Couldn't they give it to someone else? Why did she had to take it? She opened her mouth to say just that when her father interrupted.

"Being a cave dweller would it prefer dark surrondings? What is it prefered diet?" He inquired. It was easy to see that he was far more interested in looking after the creature than she was.

Shifting on the spot she went to cling to her fathers side. She wished her father didn't sound...so interested in the dragon. She didn't want it.

Peri nodded a bit. "It will probably prefer darker locations, but being raised outside of a cave, it might not be too bothered by light, though it will probably have an aversion to bright light." She shrugged. "There's no telling, really. As for food, it will eat meats like most dragons." Or, that was her guess. She needed to get with Felicity some time and figure out more about these new dragon types.

"You can stay here with your egg if you want, or follow us." Peri glanced at her clipboard again. Moving on~

She led the way to the next egg, where it sat under an artifical waterfall. "This is Clayton's egg. An Atma. The shell is very, very thick and the mother will place it under a waterfall in the wild to weaken the shell so the dragonet can hatch. These are highly territorial dragons. Any questions?"

Dei only shook her head a giggled a little bit when Sae muttered and hid behind her dad. She seemed much nicer when there was another girl in the room, "You're welcome," She said before they were led off to see the eggs.

The triplets were herded forward by their father. They all waited patiently while Sae's dragon was explained. Save for Claydon who fidgeted and grumbled anxiously but didn't say or do anything since Marco was there.

Deidre watched Saedah a little curiously as she was told about her egg. The girl was kind of surprised that she seemed to avert her egg rather than be enthusiastic. Weren't most kids excited about their dragons?

Once the group finally moved onto the next egg Clays eyes lit up when he was told this would be his. He got as close to it as the woman would allow as he looked at it intently, "Yeah! Is it gonna be big? Or tough? What's it gonna look like?" Clay asked concentrating on the dragon. If it were to be anything like Baroness Clay would be happy.

Marco let Clay take care of the questions as Romeo peered at his brothers egg curiously and Deidre peered back at Saedah curiously still fixated on her hair.

Kuyoja had tucked away the information in the back of his head. It was useful information, he hoped that some day soon he would be able to help Saedah look after her dragon.

"Well Saedah, it isn't that scary now is it?" He murmured as the group carried on without them. He wanted to linger a bit longer to stare at the egg and picturing what would come out of it.

Saedah looked to her father she puffed out a cheek looking a bit annoyed and still a bit fearful. She had to admit her papa had a point. The egg wasn't really that terrifying. It was just her mind constantly was a step ahead of her...she envisioned horrible things suddenly popping out of that egg. Perhaps she had to vivid an imagination.

"Did you want to see the other's eggs?" He inquired looking down at his pink haired charge. Saedah was still a long moment before she shook her head.

"No..papa..." She whispered, she had enough to this day. Her nerves were shot. "Can ..w..we...go home?" She inquired and he nodded his head before leading her back to their apartment.

Peri nodded. "They are a strong breed. They have to be, living a solitary life like they do in the wild. As far as size, they're probably about average compared to other dragons... which is still really big compared to you or me. They're very territorial as well."

"Any other questions?"  

[Unaru]

Clay shook his head though he still watched his egg with fascinated eyes. He wanted to touch it, to see what it felt like. He glanced back at his dad and the teacher, he doubted he'd be able to get away with that though. So he continued to stand there and looked at his egg standing as close as he could.

Marco waited patiently as Clay watched his egg, which is more than could be said for Romeo and Deidre. The two kids kept glancing ahead wondering and waiting.

Peri nodded and led the group onward. "This egg is Romeo's. It is a Mephis." She gestured to an incubator where an egg sat submerged in water. "The Mephis live in lakes and large ponds. They can dry out if not able to access water for a long period of time. It is believed that they can produce toxins through their skin." Peri paused for a moment. This was sounding like a rather familiar little frog boy...

"Any questions?"

Isabella was, as one would expect, extremely excited about learning about her dragon or, more so, her egg. She arrived with her hand firmly clamped in her father's, almost bouncing with excitement.

"Where is everyone?!" she chirped.  

[Perilas_Coleman]

Peri glanced up as one of the students arrived. "I don't know, but they're late and so we'll go ahead and get started. Just a few rules first. No running and don't touch anything unless I say you can. Okay?" With that, she gestured for father and daughter to follow her as she led the way through the incubation facility to one of the incubators.

"Isabella gets a Bethore, one of the saltwater dragon species. These dragons don't think much past their immediate needs and will need looking after as far as classes and such go. They act mostly on instinct." Peri looked up from the notes on her clipboard. "Any questions? I'll do my best to answer. This is one of the first of these dragons we've gotten, so I'm afraid not a whole lot is known about them yet."

Izzy nodded happily and followed after the woman, almost skipping. A Bethore? That was a funny name! She laughed and clapped and of course immediately had a slew of questions.

"What do they eat? Can they go on land? What do they look like?!"

Henri suddenly seemed hesitant. As far as he had heard, dragons in D-Corp were highly intelligent and could even communicate with their owners. He wasn't sure he wanted his poor little girl to have some horrible ravenous monster. If he had wanted her to have that, he would have bought her a shark.

"Bethores are carnivores and eat fish, as they live in the ocean. They are capable of going on land, though I'm not sure for how long. They travel to a nearby freshwater lake to lay their eggs."

Peri glanced at her notes. "They look a lot like an eel, with small legs and a large lure."

"Well, unless you've got other questions, that's about it."

Izzy suddenly frowned. She didn't like this lady. She was a jerk! Looking almost indignant, she snapped a picture of her egg with her disposable camera and turned to leave. Henri just followed for a lack of anything else to do.

"Ah...thank you! Thank you very much! We...ah...we appreciate it!" Out they went again.
