"Serak... The name does not bring any memories to mind offhand. The power of blood you described seems incredibly foreboding. I would reiterate that you should visit the Fate Tower and seek out Archmage Alanna. She might have some archaic records of the individual. I'm afraid that's all I have for you."
"Thank you for all your assistance, Beremond. Until we meet again."
The paladin smiled and nodded as the group began to make its way out of the cathedral. As Tjaden passed by, he placed a gauntleted hand onto his shoulder.
"Come and see me again when you have gained more experience in the ways of the world and I will teach you of Balpheron's true glory."

Tjaden nodded back with a tinge of a smile. "I would that we could speak longer upon other, less pressing subjects. Your wisdom will prove a valuable resource. We will meet again, you and I. Let us see, then, what we talk about." Tjaden replied. Humans and their gods...always needed someone else top believe in them. Still, Tjaden was a tad bit curious about this Belepheron character. He had seen the emblems and tapestries and they were quite alluring.
Once they had left Beremond, Tjaden simply spoke up. "Though it is tempting to go straight to the archmage with this, we should probably look for Selce before we go. She may want to be there."

Erron was lost in thought as they left the building, muttering to himself about what path "Edge" might follow, but shifted his attention to Tjaden figuring he would make a trip down to the docks after their primary business was handled.
"Who knows, she might already have met the Archmage for all we know," He said chuckling, after all: life was full of surprises. "If she isn't too busy and Prometheus may want to come with us as well...we will have to inform Laren and Zal of what has transpired as they seem keen on relaxing and exploring the city after a hard march and battle...speaking of which, how are you feeling after the journey from Tradewind?"

"Tired, but it is not too much of a strain." TJaden said. "I apologize if I seem too eager to be done with this, but it has been some time since I felt so...useful." Tjaden said with a laugh. "Despite the grim situation, I prefer this to jumping from one mode of transportation to the next. I'm sure some downtime will do us all some good..." Tjaden reasoned, more for himself than the benefit of his comrades. Elves were long-lived and patient. Humans less so, but well balanced. However, Tjaden was an Orc, live fast and die young was not just a saying, but a way of life. He would do well to remember that he was now far from his own kind...a stranger in a land of beings much different from himself. He would have to change the way he did things.

Selce and the arcanist made their way to the Fate Tower. The enormous structure dominated the skyline of Haven, it's white gold stone and suspended crystalline lights that dotted its entirety from base to its zenith.
The man led the young wizard into the audience chamber. A large crystal chandelier with countless candles hung from the ceiling as numerous magelings and other guests milled about the lower reaches.
"I have forgotten my manners once again, my name is Cervantes Lerax. I am only a middle ranked spellcaster within the Host Tower, but the Archmage has stated that she wishes to see anyone who has potential in the magic arts. Please wait here whilst I locate her."
With that, Cervantes stepped onto the glowing platform in the center of the chamber and disappeared in a flash, his form melting into light and then soaring upwards into the ceiling.

((I could wait, but waiting is so boring,)) Kal slowly awoke, seeing the light fading and having gotten a small nap in. He undid his traps, collecting them for reusage, and equipped his new items. He quite fancied the feel of the shortsword in his hand, it had more weight, but it felt comfortable. More powerful than his daggers, and with little speed compromised. He also liked the feel of the leather armor, feeling it's aura of defense. Leather weight, chainmail defense, a perfect combo. And all for a bargain of 600 gold. He slid his robe on over the armor. He felt the weight that had added to him and could tell that his speed would be less than par, but he figured he could stay up to average with the normal halfing. He closed his door behind him, nodded to the front desk and left for a little voyage to the docks. He heard that some thieves may be found there. He had a hint that with so many thieves in one place, perhaps he could find a tutor for the time being. He kept his eyes and ears open, hoping to catch any clue of a thief or any special tutors around. He kept his ears especially perked up for a certain ability. He heard from his parents that if you could find somebody from a small specialized clan of people, usually called shadows or something of the like, you could learn abilities that very few had. ((I figure he wouldn't get there in one post, or if Tonas wanted him to hear something, now would be the time.))

Selce smiled as Cervantes dissapeared from the teleportation ring. She stared around at the room they had entered. She watched the small crowd of magelings and guests only to glance about nervously. Selce had figured that the spire must be called the Host Tower, and Alanna was its master obviously. Her nervousness picked up even more when she wondered why a powerful archmage would want to see anyone who had potential in the magical arts. Her smile stayed though as her imagination began to stop giving her ideas and thoughts of what might be done to her, mainly among them living the rest of her life as a frog.

Laren noticed the halfling leaveing the tavern and realized she had seen him come in a long while ago. It was odd, he went to his room when it was still early in the day, and left when the sun was begining its fall.
So she decided, perhaps because she was a bit tippsy or just because she was curious, to follow the short fellow, "Hello friend!" she said happily as she walked up to him on the street, her nose just the slightest shade of pink.

Kal glanced behind him at the drunken girl following him. It was Laren. He chuckled. "Hello, have some of the finest ale you've ever had? Or was it all rumors from braggarts that own the bar's?" he asked, still keeping eyes peeled and ears open for anything else. A person beside him, especially a drunk person, made him seem not so suspicious, instead, he just looked like he was escorting a drunk friend to wherever she was going.

The current time is now 4:00 p.m.
Selce had been waiting at the bottom floor of the Fate Tower for roughly twenty minutes before the portal in the center of the room made a loud noise as both Cervantes and an elegantly dressed woman appeared on the platform.
The man and woman made their way towards the young wizardess, stopping next to her and allowing the regally dressed woman to speak.
"Greetings, Selce. I am Archmage Alanna, 2nd seat of the city's ruling council and master of the Fate Tower. Cervantes has told me that you have potential for learning. I would like to test that theory. Would you mind coming with me to the upper floors?"

Laren smiled at the question, "Well it tasted pretty good, but it wasn't as potent as the Dwarven stuff."
Then laren noticed the amused look of the halfling, "And I know what your thinking," she said swaying slightly, "I'm not drunk! Just got a bit of a buzz going is all," and almost to contridict that statment she gave an uncontrolable kickup and then giggled slightly, "Well maybe a little drunk..."

Erron and Tjaden are stopped at the Mage Tower informed that the representative for the sector was currently busy in a meeting and would be freed up in some time, something vaguely about "Initiation" and "New Students"
Erron looks over to Tjaden and says "Well it seems we have some free time, I'm rather interested in meeting this "Edge" the paladin spoke of, not many monks choose to venture from their training dojos until they have completed their meditative and spiritual training, perhaps he could help me understand my chakras better..." He went off on a trip of excited muttering again, lost in thought before he continued "What do you think you shall do until then?"

Kal laughed out loud a bit more. "Haha, I would definately have to say you're into the 1st stage pretty far," he commented. Suprisingly, Kal knew the stages of drunkenness. He'd once been taught by his father so that he could learn when a person's judgement was on the fritz. Allowed for persuasive thievery. He could persuade the person at that time, that they should help him steal something because it was 'right' and 'just'. But after that stage they became useless because they began to lose motorskills. He understood that she'd had more potent stuff, so he accepted that she might not have been as impressionable. He did wonder if things still affected her differently, and almost wanted to kiss her, knowing that it would test her judgement, but he decided against it.

"I do not know, but I will find something to occupy me." Tjaden said, reassuring Erron. "You go find this man and satiate your curiosity." The Orc smiled to the monk, gesturing with a nod that he should be off. "Good luck."

Erron wandered off towards the Docks district wondering how he would go about finding the man among all of the citizens of the town, hopefully he would be able to find him before the party had to move forward from Haven.
