Teagan gasped a bit at the surprise kiss, but she soon melted into it in little time at all. After a few breathless seconds, she pulled back just the slightest bit. "What was that for?" she asked, amused.

Nat smiled like a Cheshire cat, eyes still closed. "I'm just so incandescently happy....I figured it the most appropriate way to express myself..." He mumbled, going in for a little nibble before pulling back, the roguish grin still in place on his mouth. "That and I love to see you blush..." He whispered smoothly.

She was blushing, quite badly, but she couldn't find herself getting mad at him for making her so red. "You're lucky you're pretty," she whispered as she kissed him again. "Very, verrry lucky."

Nat smirked between the kisses. "Well I'm glad to know my Boyish charm has gotten me somehting worthwhile..." He murmured back, bringing her in closer as he smiled more lovingly.

"Darlin', you better think I'm worthwhile," she said, half warning half teasing as she gave him a few more kisses. In the back of her brain, though, Teagan was begging Nat to just get rid of the bag she'd given him back instead of having it sit in his pocket. Was she worthwhile enough for him to dispose of it soon, before he could have second thoughts?

------------
Nat was with Teagan for the afternoon, helping her with some orders and just enjoying being around his girl.
He had been recovering from Raquel's 'death' faster and easier than Damian, so by now he was already moving on with his life. Except for when somehting sentimental reminded him of her, that was the only time he was down.
He knew Teagan knew she had nothing to worry about, since his affections were not ones of love. No they were on a much less intimate level.
Though he knew he and Teagan were. He loved her, very much, and had many times wanted to take things to the next level. Physically -im assuming they havent,idk-, he would enjoy, but it was not his main objective. A little ring box was always kept in his trouser pockets, waiting for the right moment to be sprung.
Though to say Nat was getting cold feet was an understatement. He knew he wanted to be with Teagan for the rest of his life. There was no question there... and he was fairly sure she felt the same. But there was somehting about marriage. Not only did it scare him, but he was afraid to take away Teagan's independence. Her wild, yet non reliant, strong features made her her... its what he loved about her. He was afraid by marrying her, she would lose that fire, much like Raquel and Damian had been struggling with years ago.
it had seemed that since they dropped the marriage idea, things went back to normal. So despite this itching and yearning to call Teagan his bride, Nat couldn't help but be hesitant in the whole matter.

Teagan, on the other hand, wanted to believe that she didn't really care if they got married or not. As far as she was concerned, they were already like a married couple. He'd come over to help her with her business when he could, they would share everything with each other. Music, dreams, thoughts, and they were almost always on the same level. She adored him, not only because of that connection, but just for himself. Nat was everything she wanted, and least expected. It was love.
Marriage, though, was some kind of fancy ceremony she imagined having, but didn't need, probably because Teagan had always conditioned herself against possessions or events she couldn't afford. Still... after being at Lorey's, something about the idea became even more appealing. For all her floral life, Teagan had made the bouquets, nosegays, and arrangements for events she wasn't invited to. But just once, couldn't she be the one getting the flowers?

"Hey hun? Where's the extra reams of ribbon?" Nat called over his shoulder from the closet where he was searching for the elusive last detail for the order he was working on.
"And I was wondering if you wanted to grab dinner later?" He added to the original question, trying not to make it sound odd in the least bit. He was thinking about mentioning it that night, but then again he was still on the fence with it all.

Teagan, meanwhile, was taking cookies out of the oven. This double-duty life was working out really well, she had to say. "In the box by the last cooler. Sorry I kinda hid 'em on you," she called out. "And sure, why not? Where to?"
It was strange for Nat to be spur-of-the-moment with dinner outings, but she certainly wasn't complaining if it meant she didn't have to cook.

"Ah..." He pulled out a the spool he was looking for, pulling out the length he needed before snipping it.
"Eh, I dunno...I was thinking that little place in town...where we had our first date?" He suggested, hoping she'd agree. "You know...its erm...actually close to our...anniversary...." He seemed to blush a bit, glad she was n the other room so she wouldn't see.

Suddenly Teagan was behind him and hugging him tight, with her face pressed between his shoulder blades. "Better not suck like our first date did, Mr. Keep His Distance." Of course she was joking, but she had to admit that the restaurant still reminded her of that awful sting. Everything that happened after that, though, made up for it tenfold.

Nat sighed loudly. "How many times do I have to keep making up for that!?" He exclaimed, faking irritation. "I mean, I'm just trying to make this special, and, I dunno, I kinda find it all sentimental..." He shrugged, acting sad. "I just wanted to make it special for you..." He sniffed, glancing back at hr, not breaking his act.

Teagan moved her chin to the top of his shoulder so she could be right next to his ear to give her own little agitated act. "Nat, you keep actin' all sad and offended, and I'll kiss that stupid little frown right off your face." The challenge was made, and Teagan was ready for anything he might say or do. They were always toying with each other, though never going too far or saying anything that might actually take the other off-guard.

Nat spun around, a soft smile on his face though his eyes were mischievous and sly. "I'd like to see you try..." He challenged as he smirked a wee bit.

Teagan reached out to trace a finger from his ear, across his jaw line, and ended under his chin. She looked just as mischievous and sly, though right when she looked like she would try to claim a kiss, she turned on her heel and walked back into the kitchen. Would he follow, she wondered? Would he wonder why she just left him? All in the game. She never knew if she was going to win.
