[Enters back from the Training Grounds]

Hatsume:::. The short shinigami would finally return, treading in from the direction of the training grounds with another female figure by her side. Her red hues aimed at her Captain who seemed to be training with the fellow members; one of the soul reapers he was training was somebody who she never recognized before. "...Mikazuki san, have you ever seen him before..? You think he's new here....?" Her questioning was spaced apart and slow, obviously distracted from trying to remember if she seen Irish or not.
Well, whether or not she knew him or did it wouldn't keep her from continuing to watch the event occurring. Wondering what to do never the less.. >.>; She wasn't expecting this to go on when she came back, but it was.... so.. ? A smirk creeped it's way onto her lips, oh how fun it looked! ^^ Training was always fun in the kitsune's eyes! Or just watching! So exciting!

"Dammit, he's just as clever as I suspected." Alder frustratedly thought to himself. Doing the only thing he could to, he took his feet off the ground before Mock clashed his blade, and used the force of the clash to launch himself backwards, narrowly avoiding the stab made at his torso. Alder gave a grin before beginning to attack. "It looks like I'll have to be a lot more cautious than in my fight with Amatsu. Very well then." Alder said with a light chuckle as he placed his Zanpakuto in his left hand, a very unusual move for rapier users. He lunged again at Mock, this time, leaping from side to side with individual thrusts of his legs. Using the forces from the leaps, he built up pressure in his right leg, and threw an immense kick at mock's left shoulder. While he threw the kick, he delivered a quick set of slashes with his left hand. These blade movements were faster, more intricate, and certainly more deadly than the ones created from his right hand. The slices were more accustomed for a scythe, but Alder had found a way to morph those powerful slices into a style suitable for a rapier.

And does this fact surprise you, in any way? The Captain inquired in a rhetorical fashion, upon hearing Alder's remark on how he would have to be more cautions this time.
Truth was, that MockaDash had yet to understand Alders resolve. Most rookies that wanted to spar with Mock, had always one of two reasons behind it (or even a combination of both, sometimes). Either they wanted to learn from him, or they wanted to prove a point (for example, as a means to show their Captain their own skill). But Alder seemed different. It was as if he actually believed that he could beat Mock.

Instead of wanting to spar. Alder wanted to challenge his Captain. This, on MockaDash's opinion at least, was not at all condemnable in itself. That is, depending on what were the ulterior motives behind his resolve.

The short distance that Alder created between the two, as he evaded Mock's previous thrust with the wakizashi, was enough to put them both out of the range of each other's blade. As Alder performed the leaps that allowed him to built up pressure for the kick, the Captain leaped backwards as well, only once but rather far. Mock could tell that his opponent was gaining momentum for a final lunge, so since he (Mock) remained stationary, he needed the extra space to maneuver - Unlike Alder's technique, that was building up speed and power as he "went". MockaDash's technique was based on sudden and powerful bursts of speed, brief but relentless moments of offense alternated with moments of rest, so his stances had to reflect just that.

When the young man tried to kick him, Mock simply grinned and sidestepped to his left (also pivoting over his left foot, to the right), slightly ducking as he did so and totally dodging the blow in the process. Placing himself in such a way that he was facing the leg as it passed by him, and rising up again, he performed a circular motion with his right arm, bringing it up and then above his own shoulder. Needless to say, Alder's slashes performed with his left posed no threat whatsoever to Mock, since the Captain was already on Alder's right side. Not only that, but Alder had been rather reckless. By aiming a kick at such a high point as the shoulder, he opened his right flank, and Mock took advantage of this as he dodged the kick. When Mock brought his right arm up, he was slashing with his dagger at Alder's totally exposed Achilles tendon, and did this with extreme speed and precision, since he was wielding such a small weapon that allowed him to approach its target with ease.

If his opponent's tendon got severed, he would be greatly impaired, since he relied on that to move and jump. Even setting the foot on the ground would be extremely painful from now on. If Alder got hit, his technique would suffer a tremendous drawback. And Mock was pretty sure that he would be rather successful, at least in damaging any part of his leg - if not the desired tendon - since Alder had not only built up so much pressure for the kick, but he was also performing slashes at the same time. His quickness of response to an attack to his flank, in such situation, was highly compromised.

Danko did a handstand backwards, while doing this he aimed a kick at Mashiros head. He got back up and parried the spinning slice, then he sliced at Mashiros chest.

((Its ok, we all have our flaws... but we also all help one another when they need it. That is why this is one of the Best Squads in the Seireitei. Now, back to the post!^^))

Mashiro was beginning to get irritaited by how well Danko could move. It took real skill to be able to battle with that type of speed, even with a veteran such as Mashiro. Sure, he wasn't the best fighter in the Squad but he was good enough. After all, he was being trained by the best. Though Danko had his skills with fighting, it seemed to Mashiro he was following the same patern over and over. First he would block, or avoid, then move in for the attack. If this was the case, then Mashiro was in for an easy win. "Now now, kicking isn't very nice is it?" Mashiro asked from a safe distance from the young shinigami. At that same time there was a pale, blue light that was comming at the unexpecting shinigami.

Mashiro did not see the kick to his face comming, but there was no need. His spinning attack was more than enough to dodge the kick, as well as continue the move. Then again a bit of friction on his back was enough to miss Danko by just hairs. Mashiro's blade was parried by the young shinigami, but only because he was trying to slice Mashiro's chest. Aside front that this caused the Blonde Shinigami to sweat a little. If he had not missed his stepping he could propably be dead from the hole in his chest. This caused Mashiro to take action quick and stop "Playing Around". " Hadou #1, Shou." instead of using it on Danko, Mashiro pushed himself back and allowed the room between them to grow. Since Danko did not know how to use any kidou, this could have been the perfect moment to take advantage of that. " I hope you keep that speed up, Danko.... Hadou #4, Byakurai." Mashiro said as he raised his right index finger, which was holding his zanpaku-tou. The blue, pale light went flying at the shinigami. Sure it was easy to avoid, but at least it would keep him on edge while Mashiro assest how Danko moves, and how to exploit it.

Alder flashed a grin as Mock moved to his right. He felt a small sting in his tendon, and instinctively threw his leg away from Mock's dagger, executing a sideways spin midair. While he was still very close to Mock, about a meter away, he pointed his right index and middle fingers at him. "I don't like using this move, but...I suppose I'll need to, to even have the most miniscule chance of hurting you." He said with a grin. "Hadou Number Four....Byakurai." He said calmly as white lightning burst from his fingertips at point blank range.

((Hum... You felt a sting in the tendon. Does that mean I at least cut through your skin? - even if only a bit? Until I have confirmation on this, I can't make a better post than this one.))

It was impressive how Alder was able to avoid Mock's attack, given his current situation and balance. On top of that, to be able to aim a kidou at his Captain. Pulling rabbits out of your hat, eh? Mock remarked, smoking from his kiseru that was hanging on the corner of his mouth.

Coincidentally, one of Mock's favored kidous and the one he used the most on all his years as Shinigami, was Byakurai. The Captain was so accustomed to such a spell, that aiming it or dodging it, to him, was as normal as breathing. In this particular situation he was in, it made no difference if the shot was made at point blank or not. Alder performed it without aiming at any particular point in Mock's body, and because he was attempting to avoid the Captain's attack with a spin, his aim was mostly off. (( I'm going with this, because you did not specify a target location for Byakurai.))

The Byakurai would scrape Mock's left shoulder at most, but it didn't even amount to that, as MockaDash lowered his body a bit while casting his own kidou. He opened his left palm at Alder's legs. Hadou #1 -- Shou! And immediately after it, had the index finger of that same hand, aim at Alder's torso. Hadou #4 -- Byakurai!. The first spell would cause Alder to lose balance, preventing him from effectively dodging the second one, aimed at his chest. Also a point blank Byakurai, like Alder's, but one cast with deadly precision and aim.

Alder was still moving in the air when Mock executed his attacks, so the Shou wasn't going to reach him before he thought of a plan. After a few moments, Alder chanted again, :Hadou Number Four...Byakurai." This time, the white lightning hit the first hadou dead on, proving to be a worthy catalyst for an explosion, which sent Alder flying backwards. In an immense stroke of luck, his body had been moved upwards, and Mock's second attack grazed his back, lightly burning a straight line up his spine. When Alder landed he was about ten meters away from Mock. When his feet hit the ground, he noticed a small burning sensation in his left foot. He looked down for a short moment to see that there was a slice in his foot. Luckily, it hadn't injured the tendon. "You're playing for keeps...." Alder said with a light chuckle. "I'm not sure I can stand up to that...." He said. He sounded upset, and rather depressed with his tone of voice, but the grin on his face appeared to be quite the opposite. Alder's stance changed suddenly, and he appeared to be in a ballroom. With light steps, and graceful leaps, he dashed at high speed towards mock.

(I've gotta go. I'll edit the rest in when I get back.)

((Hum... Shou is not in any way a fireball. It's just a pulse of energy that pushes the target away from the caster. I'm sure you can edit that part and keep the same end results, though. And thanks on the info about the cut, that was all I really needed to know. ))

Such nonsense. Mock replied to Alder's words. You seem to be forgetting your place, Alder-san. I'm merely matching my skill with yours. Otherwise, I might end up killing you by mistake. The Captain inhaled a large amount of tobacco smoke, taking a deep breath, and letting it come out slowly, while speaking. This was never a matter of you standing up to anything I do or don't. Don't be fooled. I might have indulged your will to fight me, but for my own reasons. Don't expect to be able to overthrow my power, this soon.

By now, the wakizashi had absorbed all the blood in it, and its blade turned black. The blood, was that from the cut made on Alder's foot. It took more time than usual for the blade to absorb it and be able to release its powers, due to the small quantity of blood that was drawn. A violent surge of reiatsu swept the field as, inadvertently, MockaDash had his spiritual pressure tenfolded. The Captain was keeping his reiatsu at near non-existent levels, as he always does. Over the years he has become a master in controlling this to full effect, and used it not only to surprise his opponents, but also to efficiently control the quantity of energy being spent with each move. But even at so low levels, after the release of one of his swords, the resulting reiatsu would be matching that of any average 3rd seat.
In his right hand, Mock wielded now a large man-sized nodachi. Completely dark in color - blade, tsuka and tsuba.

As soon as the first muscles in Alder's legs twitched, in preparation for an upcoming charge at the Captain. Mock had brandished his large Zanpakutou, and with this movement, released a large wave of compressed reiatsu aiming towards his incoming foe. The wave was malleable and was being maneuvered by Mock's will, while the Captain himself was keeping his guard down after having released it.

The wave approached Alder with greater speed that the one the Shinigami was exhibiting. As it approached him head-on, it spread itself to the sides, in an attempt to engulf its target within, collapsing on itself with a massive explosion of dark energy. Being struck by such attack without any sort of cover, was like being cut by hundreds of blades at the same time. And being an energy wave, only an opposing energy of the same strength could counter it.

†»‡«Hatsume»‡«† Excited eyes watched anxiously with every move taken place in the battle between the Captain ranked, and the newly ranked man. Settling down to the ground with her legs crossed over each other and her tail stretched by her left side, the female shinigami would simply admire the match and patiently wait while making sure Mikazuki didn't leave... or so.
Alder was able to bring some serious expressions to the normally overjoyed soul reaper, she was wondering what his intentions were in the battle... it nearly disturbed her in a way considering how she had a inner protectiveness for her own Captain. She needn't have to worry, knowing very well that MockaDash could take care of himself fine. "......Hehehe, That's right Captain, you show `em!" Childish words escaped from her vocals cheering him on. >=) Finally, and lastly- a simple anxious flicker of the tip of her tail would repeat itself over and over as she watched the on-going events.

[Enters from Training Grounds right behind Hatsume]
Mikazuki followed quite closely soon after Hatsume arrived. She looked up and found the Captain and others sparring for training. Her eyes gleamed at their movements and attacks. It was very enthralling and exciting; she she tightened her fists slightly, as if in anticipation of the next breath-taking moment.

"No, I'm not sure if I've seen him before either. He might be new as well, not that I have any seniority either," she answered to Hatsume's question.

Moving her sword over to the side, she placed herself down near Hatsume, but in a kneeling position. Hips placed firmly on her thighs, Mikazuki focused herself and tried to read the flow of the battle happening in front of her, half-hoping that she would be able to pick up something useful by studying each of the participant's actions.

Alder made no noise as the wave got closer and closer to him. "There's only one way to dodge this, from what I've studied." Alder remarked, mostly to himself. When the reiatsu wave was within inches, Alder aimed his right finger right next to his right foot, and chanted his hadou. "Hadou number four....Byakurai." The lightning bolt flew from his fingertips, and exploded as it hit the ground, knocking Alder at extremely high speed to the left, to the point where Mock's wave shouldn't be able to turn that sharply to pursue him. Alder looked at where he used to be, and saw what the waves would've done to him. He grimaced at the thought, but more so at the rock shards that were now stabbed into his right arm. He wasn't able to gain a proper footing, and skidded across the ground, halting at least a hundred feet away from where he started. He stood up shakily, with the same grin on his face from before. "I don't suppose your wave can still follow me....? From what I saw from your other battles, your reiatsu waves can make sharp turns, but not 90 degree turns." Alder said, assessing the power of the reiatsu wave, its speed, and the amount of radius it had by looking at the ground it had so easily torn to shreds.

"These are easily my last legs. I didn't think I'd get worn out so quickly....but...I have used a lot more kidou than normal." He said as he regained his stance. "This will obviously be my last move." He said blatantly. It was obvious in his tone that he was upset, but he disregarded it, and fired off another white lightning bolt. "Hadou Number Four...." He stabbed his rapier into the ground, and knelt behind it, with his left hand on the handle of the blade. He aimed his right hand at the ground in front of him. "Byakurai." The lightning bolt would've sent him flying, but he held firmly onto his rapier, which swung backwards. Alder had used recoil forces, and, with the rapier as a medium for the energy, threw himself at Mock, pulling the rapier out of the ground as well. Right now, he was flying right at Mock like a torpedo in water. He aimed his right hand again, at the ground in front of Mock. "Hadou Number Four, Byakurai." He breathed out quickly as the lightning bolt burst from his finger, leaving him a shred of reiatsu, and not enough for any more kidou. The explosion kicked up a lot of dust. all of which was drenched in Alder's reiatsu. Alder was also sent high up into the air, under the cover of the dust cloud. Due to it being shrouded in his reiatsu, he could be anywhere in that cloud. He was right above Mock, and lunged down at him, aiming a powerful slice from his left shoulder to his right hip.

Impressive. Mock remarked, on the method Alder used to escape his attack. The Itsuryu collapsed upon itself as it was about to, and the targeted Shinigami was able to successfully escape, thanks to the creative method he resorted to. It's seems you've been watching some of my spars in this Squad. But keep in mind, that you only saw what I allowed you to see. His voice turned even thicker. I'm sure you've figured it out by now. The reason why you're getting tired so fast!
Wounds made by Mock's nodachi won't ever heal, unless the Zanpakutou's Shikai is unreleased, or the the wound is healed with kidou - or the Zanpakutou's influence negated in any other way, with a superior reiatsu for example.
Thus, Alder's wound in his right ankle, however insignificant, had been shedding blood all this time.

As Alder came flying at Mock, as if he'd been fired from a canon, the Captain actually took the time to clap his hands - clapping with the left on the right one, that was holding his sword. Only at the last possible moment, as the powerful Byakurai was about to hit him, did he raised his left hand at the incoming kidou, arm stretched and parallel to the ground. Bakudou #39 -- Enkosen. An amber shield appeared in front of his open palm, and blocked the pale lightning, as ripples of it were sent to all sides.
The Captain looked up, with the kissaki (the blade's tip) of his nodachi still pointing to the ground, as Alder appeared above him.
Alder was shrouded by the clouds reiatsu, but it wasn't his reiatsu that Mock was tracking. Mock was trailing his own, mixed on Alder's blood. That Shinigami's blood belonged to him now!

Raising his left hand at Alder, as the Enkosen shield was allowed to shatter, Mock said Bakudo #8 -- Seki.. A small circular orb appeared hovering above his palm, in the exact location that Alder was aiming his rapier, thus blocking it. The Captain then brought his right arm up, with amazing speed.

Itsuryu!!! He roared.

Over the length of the large blade, a wide dark wave of reiatsu was formed, and as if it was a tide of blood, aimed to engulf Alder within. The wave did not released itself from the Zanpakutou's blade, rather, it remained attached to it, thus, simply greatly increasing the range and combat power of Mock's slash.

This is over. Mock said, as his blade clashed with Alder's and the the black tide came out if it.

((Not really. It's up to you. xp ))
PostPosted: Wed Aug 05, 2009 7:24 pm

(Hm...you're really trying to push my creativity, aren't you? ^^)

Alder's eyes widened with astonishment as his captain stopped his trump card with ease. "....blood signals..." He said through the dust cloud that remained. "This means...that every drop of blood that I lose, he can sense. Like what I saw from his previous battles, there was a limit to just how much reiatsu he could detect before losing his target. The blood should operate the same way...." Alder thought to himself. "But now, my main concern is avoiding that wave...." Alder said as he noticed that the steel portion of Mock's Nodachi was still in his reach. "That might work...he didn't release it as a wave...so if I can just get out of his reach...." Alder thought again. As the Nodachi was in mid swing, Alder used his position to swing his feet down onto the steel part of the blade, and kicked off it, using the momentum the blade had to further increase his speed that he flew off at. He narrowly avoided the extended portion as he landed on the ground. The dust cloud from before was still up, so Alder had time to execute what he needed to do. In one motion down his arm, Alder tore all the rocks from his arm, causing it to bleed profusely. He ran all around mock, leaving behind him blood drops everywhere. Once a few hundred drops had accumulated, Alder went in for a sideways slash. He was facing Mock's right shoulder, and he aimed a slice down the side of his torso, using the same deadly slash from before. Luckily for him, the cloud of debris remained, so his attack was under good cover, hopefully from sight, and sense.

(( <.< Hrrm... I hope Irish comes soon. He has a Kitsune to meet after his spar! Ehh, This post might be pretty bad, I'm not feeling well today. ))

†»‡«Hatsume»‡«† Sensitive ears flickered towards Mikazuki as she knelt next to her down to the ground which rippled with vibrations and non-stop violence between both spars. Vibrations, vibes, and movements that echoed and shifted through the ground's crust much like water which the fox paid deep attention too.
Hatsume wasn't sure if others could feel this rumbling feeling benethe them when they sat or stood, or if they could hear or feel it like she did. She was born with this ability- and as far as she was conserened most of her fellow siblings were capable of sensing it, aswell as fellow villagers as she grew up... so why did this matter? The kitsune was deeply intuned and wanted to share her thoughts with Mikazuki. "They are amazing aren't they Mikazuki sama? I remember seeing the the man Captain is fighting with, but I can't recall his name. He's admirable in battle, but I think he lacks in one patciulcar thing- unless I'm mistaking him too soon...." She paused just for a second as the lightning of all the demon magic flashed far in the disstance. "He breakes one of the rules of battle inwhich I follow by. This rule is to never underestimate your foe, or overestimate them. It's my guess that perhaps he think he understands the Captain's power to a certain point; but in reality everything he may know could be a illuisuion. After all you cannot determine somebody's full battle-structure over afew spars or fights." She glanced at Mikazuki before returning her gaze on Mockadash and his oppenment allowing a surious and a much more calm expression to take over her facial complesion. "Afterall I seen the Captain in afew fights or spars. I have a observing ways to try and notive weaknesses or loopholes; I also understand skilled fighters can delibterly cause themselves to look something they are not, so when you think you know them and go to strike for what you think is the weak point... it is actually their tangling web of tricks to take you out. Their strong points, everything you saw of them- was fake. A illisuion for you be played like a doll to do what they want! Even those who are unfournate enough to see his Bankai; are sure enough to not understand our Captain's battle tatics." She finished her small speech shifting her ears back as she did and relaxing when MockaDash had called out the battle was over.
Her expression was still calm and relaxed, gazing towards the battle as curious struck at her. "...You know demon magic don't you...? I kinda feel like if I'm the only one in our squad who dosen't know any Demon magic what-so-ever. It's not that I can't learn any.. I never got the chance to learn any." She released a sigh, finally closing her eyes and lowering her head. ~--~;
