She can tell by the movement of the water against her waist, and the sound of him splashing that hes dived into the pond. For the moment though she is enjoying a few moments of peace. There are no pressing matters to take care of, no duties that need fulfilling. In short its the first time, since her enslavement, that shes been able to let her mind drift away. Let it wander to the farther corners of her consciousness, let her guard down and her defenses fall. Shes so far 'gone' that she doesn't realize that she has started to hum.

When he swims around he didnt noticed at first so then and there he just having a moment in his house that wasnt sad or depressing. But as he neared he heard her humming, he stopped and stayed silently and litsened eagerly to her now melodious humm.

The more relaxed she becomes the louder her tune grows. Soon, without even realizing what she is doing, Charis has started to sing an old Atlantean folk song. Its a very simple verse, all about good family life, praise to their gods and good fortune to all. The kind of blessings that are well accepted in every and any society.

He admires the tune slowly nodding to it, soon you will find him humming to such. When a time passed by he was next to her looking at her singing then without any warning he clapped loudly like an applause to her song* Wow you voice is amazing! well i suppose you being a mermaid and all but, still, it was good.

Amid the lazy sounds of mid-day and the warm sunshine, the sudden sound generated by his clapping hands might as well be a thunder crash. Her eye widens and she sits up. For a few moments there, she had forgotten where exactly she was and who she was with. Her mind had gone back to her past, remembering such days as her song had depicted. Swimming through the ocean depths with her friends and family all around. Frolicking and playing together like a school of large, half-human fish (go figure!).

"Earth to Charis" He said gently, tilting his head nonchalantly to her actions. It seemed that she was reminded of something good of her past and that made him happy to see it with his own eyes. finally! She was lax and tranquil now. That made others curious, fish that is.

At first she doesn't respond to him, but slides herself off the pond. Although the song had a good nature to it, its brought a melancholy expression to Charis. Its reminded her of what home was like, what has been lost to her forever. The friends and family that she'll probably never see again. Once she is full submerged she tries to relax, the soothing, soft water, for once not working its magic on her nerves.

He looked at her and saw her sad. Wanting to help her be happy he warmly hugged her to help her relax smiling in the tight embrace.

When he hugs her so suddenly she blinks and looks down at his arms, the bareness of his skin feeling strange against her belly. Growing up, touch had been something reserved for you family or very close friends. And in the pens she had avoiding any kind of contact for fear of a beating. This is perhaps the first gentle touch shes received for awhile. After a few moments Charis smiles and rests her hands on his arms, falling back to lean into his hug.

He smiled and looked at her hugging her tightly and smiling, after a while he left the affectionate hug and got an idea, he spoke it gently to see if she would agree to it. "Charis why dont you meet some of the folk that reside here im sure you will like it much more. By the time you are back into this hous you artificial lake will be done and ready for you to inhabit"

She blinks her eye and turns to look at him, not entirely certain what he meant when he said 'artificial' lake. How could a lake be 'artificial', whatever that meant. But his suggestion... meet other people?? "But... the only place I know here is this pond.. how would I meet them?"

He extended his hand and looked at her "Follow me Charis i will show you" Afte he said that his eyes show a glint that could be a sign of complete thrust "I can bring my friends here if you liked"

Charis takes his hand, but only swims to the bank of the pond, stopping just before her scales touch the mud. Biting her bottom lip in nervousness she looks around, studying the foliage and life around her, temporary, home. ".... perhaps it would be easier to bring them here akri, unless... unless you can think of some way that I could easily move around." she replies, the fin of her tail slipping through the water.

The maid blinks at his speed, then sighs quietly and slips into the water. She lets herself fall to the bottom, her hair floating all around her head like a cloud. With the cool liquid filling her lungs again she is able to enjoy the peace of being surrounded by its arms. Staying there, she slowly strokes one of the larger fish that swims up to her, treating it the way others might treat a dog.
