Cat shook her head and picked up a magazine. She certainly couldn't argue with that.

Bruce then looked at himself for the first time, realizing that he was wearing only a shredded pair of pants, a very loose-fitting pair of pants, at that. Damn, must have changed again. "Um... Do you know where I could find a change of clothes in this place?"

She smirked very, very slightly, but did not look up from her magazine. "Yes," she replied noncommittally. She'd seen some spare bedrooms on her way through the house, and thought that there were probably extra clothes in them.

Bruce looked at her and waited a moment, then said, "Well, where? I'm very, VERY close to being more exposed than I ever care to be around you."

Cat looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Goodness. I'm not sure if I should be insulted or not. Second bedroom on the left. I'm not sure if anything will be in your size," she added pointedly, with a very small but very amused smile.

Bruce smirked, and said, "Don't be. It's not you. I just have eyes for another woman, is all." Holding onto the top of his pants so that they didn't fall, he stood up, and walked in the direction Black Cat indicated. Thinking about it, was Betty Ross in this Multiverse? He hadn't seen her since he was pulled into it, but then again, the General held her up sometimes. Held Bruce up sometimes, too; it's pretty hard to have a date when you're big, green, and dumb.

Bruce found the room the indicated, and was pleased to find a white dress shirt, white boxers, black slacks, black socks, and black dress shoes, all sitting in the closet of the bedroom, all somehow fitting him, despite the fact that Strange was definitely of a better build than Banner was. He got dressed, and walked back to the sitting room. "So, what brings you to the house of Strange?" he asked of Black Cat.

"I want a nap," Cat said noncommittally, "And I'm unlikely to get one anywhere else." It wasn't a lie, either; it just wasn't the whole truth. She looked over the top of the pages at him for a second, and then set the magazine down. "And why weren't you hiding? I would have thought you'd have been camping out in the emptiest place you could find."

Bruce Banner shrugged. "I DID. Nick Fury found me. Reed Richards had been working on a way to fix the merging from the other side of the crisis line. That's what we've been calling the border that separates this Universe from our normal one, the crisis line. We decided it would be a good idea to have someone with as much scientific skill as possible come to the other side of the line and perform the same research, hopefully allowing for some way to bridge the line and make it possible for us to return home. They've figured out a way to come here voluntarily, but how to get back is a different story. Being ne of the best scientific minds in our world, as well as capable of... defending myself from harm, they decided I should be the one to continue the research on this side. If nothing can be done soon, Reed might have to come here himself. In any case, I had just gotten here. Apparently, they can't choose the point of entry here, as i landed in the middle of a battle zone, and changed. The building was being destroyed. That was my last memory before changing. All that research is probably gone now. I'll have to start from scratch."

Cat nodded slowly. "That makes sense, I guess. I'm sorry that happened." She paused. "But you shouldn't take it too hard; Tony Stark's on this side, and I know for a fact that he's been working his a** off."

Bruce smirked, and said, with absolutely no trace of it being a joke, "Working hard doing what? Finding a way back, fighting off the bad guys, or getting laid?" All three were extremely viable options for Tony.

"Finding a way back," Cat said with absolute certainty. "I might have, uh, accidentally hacked into one of his computers when I was borrowing some of his newest tech."

Cat crossed her arms and glared for several seconds, then shrugged and stood. "Maybe. If you really think that's a good idea. He could definitely use the help." She turned and started to walk out, but stopped after only a few steps. Without turning around, she said coldly, "But if you loose control, and my Spider ends up dead, I will never forgive you. Always a pleasure, Dr. Banner," she added, and then sauntered out of the room.
