Mathias shook his head. This arrow was designed for use against vampires. The silver tip was dipped in holy water. And even though Mathias was pureblood, as long as the arrow was in him, he'd continue to lose strength. His ability to regenerate and use magic were also diminished as the arrowhead weakened him. Mathias slumped against the corner of a building, holding around the arrow. "No..no I'm not alright. Seems the people attacking or whatever were prepared for vampires." Mathias winced as he struggled to remain concious.
Einon had been talking with his mom and Artemis when suddenly a spot on his chest felt like it was lit on fire. He collapsed to his knees, screaming. "AHHH!!!" He held his chest even though there was nothing there. His breathing was ragid, sharing the 'pain' from his father's wound; even though he was miles away.

Aura's angry hiss echoed. She closed her hand around the arrow shaft and muttered, "Then perhaps we should take it out?"
At that particular moment, she sounded more like her mother of twenty years ago than she did herself, and there was an eerie tinny quality to her voice - as though two people were speaking. "If I pull it out, what happens then?"

Engela turned sharply away from the map and knelt by her son, holding him briefly in comfort as she had when the twins had been younger. "Einon," she said softly, "what is it?" Not that she couldn't guess. Whatever was going on down in the city, it was bad. But she had to ask - she knew Vix was already torn about her duties. As a mother, she had to find her missing daughter. As a wife and a warrior, she had to go back to the city. Engela thought she knew what the woman would choose, if Einon gave her the expected news.

Mathias winced again. "Well, if you pull it out, it'll stop weakening me. BUt I'll have to immediately go hunting, to replace the blood and energy I've lost. And I'm not leaving you here, so it should just stay in for now. I'll be okay." Mathias stood up slowly, following his daughter.
Einon groaned again. "I..I don't know what happened. But...but I think something terrible happened to dad." Worry was all over Einon's face.

Aura shifted, blocking her father. "Dad," she said sternly. "You know it's got to come out now. Do what you have to - there don't seem to be any soldiers along this street, and I can take care of myself for however long it takes."
She reached out and took hold of the arrow shaft, pulling it out in one swift motion. "Besides, Mom would kill me if I let you leave it in."

Engela's eyes clouded briefly. She nodded. "Okay," she said simply. Although she wanted to go right away, follow Mathias and Aura, she knew better. She knew Aura wasn't harmed, and if she was all right she would be able to help her father. Glancing up at Vix, she was unsurprised to see the look of determination come across the woman's face.
"Lexi is a big girl," said Vix softly, hating herself for having to say it. For having to choose between her daughter and the rest of her family. "I don't think she needs me as much as they do. Engela?"
She watched the woman nod, watched the portal open. With a brief, sad smile, she whispered, "I'll come back, I promise," and stepped through into a war zone.

Mathias snarled as Aura ripped the arrow out. Grimmacing, Mathias's fangs grew and his eyes turned bloodshot as his blood tried to heal himself. He stared at his daughter, using all his control to not attack and feed off her. He didn't tell her that it'd be an insatiable bloodlust as soon as that arrow was removed. He had planned on opening a portal for her to go home then remove it himself, after she was safe.
Einon looked up at his mom. "Mom, we need to go, NOW. Something's wrong. I..I think Aura is in danger from dad now.." He didn't know how or why, but he suddenly could sense what his father was feeling. Unquenchable thirst for blood yet struggling restraint.

Alex pleaded and he broke Naomi's grip and started marching back pushing on through his wounds just as stubborn as his father he had to get back to his father he just had too 'A Silverwolf always fulfills a promise' was echoing in his head it was something his father had told him
Leon was directing the small militia avioding combat as best he could he wondered if alex was going to make it or not he sighed
Maverick chuckled at Sora and he ran up rather quickly to her disarmed her and placed his blade agianst her neck and said "a fiesty one i love that in women"

Engela cursed viciously. She stepped away from her son and reached through the connection to her daughter. "It'll be all right, Einon. You stay here. The last thing I need is both of you out there," she ordered flatly. "I'll fetch Aura."
She opened another portal, using her connection to her child to show up where she had to be. Stepping through, she winced.
Aura stood with a bloodied arrow in her hand, eyes locked with her father's. Without saying a word, Engela went to her daughter's side and met Mathias's eyes as she took Aura's hand. Never looking away, she pushed Aura lightly towards the portal. The girl began to speak, but Engela only shook her head. "Go," she said.
She didn't dare look away to see if Aura had obeyed, but knew she was gone once the portal closed again. Only then did she relax, however slightly. She wasn't afraid of Mathias, not even in this mood - her only worry had been for Aura.

Aura landed in the room. She frowned down at her brother, who was still on the floor. "Einon?" she inquired. "What are you doing down there?"
Though the voice was reminding her that she had to go back, she knew she had done what she could. With both her parents there, whoever was in trouble should be all right...if her father fed before finding him. Or her.

Vix moved swiftly along, looking for either Leon or Alex. She thought wryly that things never changed. Scanning the crowd, she moved on, keeping her sword drawn, just in case someone took it into his head to get in her way.

Mathias snarled when Engela showed up. The small part that was still the father and husband was glad Engela showed up and felt ashamed he had no control right now. But the thirst was still strong. He advanced on Engela. A bigger target, more blood. Licking his fangs, he stalked around her.
Einon got back to his feet, groaning. "Whatever happened to dad, it felt like a fire happened in my chest. Then uncontrolable thirst, directed at you, sis. What happened?"

Engela waited patiently. She wasn't going to go anywhere. Mathias would regain control, or he wouldn't. If he didn't, well, he'd attacked her before when he was like this. She'd let him feed off her until he regained at least some semblance of control before, and she could handle it. She knew she could fend him off if he tried to completely drain her - and better that he attack her than some innocent bystander. He'd feel guilty later either way. But at least she wouldn't be dead.

Aura looked at the arrow she still held. With a little sound of anger and disgust, she threw it at his feet. "This happened."
Then she looked up and spotted the blond boy. "Who are you?" she asked coldly, still on something of an emotional roller-coaster from everything that had been happening in the past few minutes.

Vix looked at him softly and took his hand. "I know," she said quietly. "Mathias and his daughter are here somewhere - I think they came to help him. I'll see if I can find them." Her eyes darkened. "Take care of yourself." Then she let go of his hand and kept going.

Mathias growled at her and pounced, sinking his fangs into her neck. As he drank, the blood restored his powers and healed the wound.
Einon looked at the arrow and hissed. He could smell this elemental silver as well as the water that was on it. "Is dad okay? Where were you guys? Will he be coming home or is it gonna be out hunting?"
Artemis was ticked that this girl was so cold to him. She didn't even know him. Just like Alexa. "My name is Artemis. I live down the street from the Silverwolfs."

Leon watched his wife go off and he kept directing the soldiers as best as he could he knew better now to not exert himself

Ignoring the sting, Engela rested her hand lightly on the back of his neck, subtly encouraging. No use letting him get the guilts over something she'd become perfectly comfortable with. Only when she began to feel exhausted and slightly shuddery did she push him back - wincing as the fangs pulled out - and step away. "Better now?" she inquired.

Aura shook her head, looking down at her brother. "I don't know. Mom stayed with him. We were down in the city. I have no idea," she said, answering his questions just as rapid-fire as he'd asked them.
Then she looked over at the blond boy again, and gave him a tired smile. "I'm sorry. A lot of stuff's been happening and I didn't expect you to still be here. Hi, Artemis. I'm Aura."

Vix continued along her path on the street, looking for her son (who she had no doubt would still be trying to fight - he was just like his father) or Mathias and his daughter, either of whom would probably know where to find Alex. They were just good at that sort of thing - at least, Mathias and Engela had been, and she assumed their children had picked up some of that power.

((i'm assuming Alexa is very very pissed at Alex i liked that twin connection of pain idea tho SSD meant to tell you that earlier)) Alex saw the figure of his mother and he began to move towards it a look of grimace on his face he kept pushing

((OOC: Thank you. I ripped it off some RL twins I know. Also, you'd better believe she's pissed. I've been waiting for Kirra, but hell, I can post with Lexi now.))
Alexa was on her knees, struggling to get her breath back. "What the hell are you doing, Alex?" she managed to snarl, though she had no expectation that he could hear her. If he didn't stop this soon, she might have to go back and kill him just to get some damned peace. How was she supposed to get anything done if she was constantly feeling the pain of the wounds her well-meaning but less-than-warriorlike brother was getting himself?
