"Mmm." She sighed softly. "I have every intention of taking it easy today." She said, leaning back to see Alek's face. It seemed sweeter, a little more open than before. The red eyes were clear and bright. Still Alek, but more-so as well in its own way. Considering how she was feeling, she wondered if she looked different to him. Or, maybe she was just a little high from the experience.
Peeling her eyes away for just a moment, she thought everything looked brighter. Actually, a little too bright. She looked up, spotting the sun high in the sky. So late! Was it still rising or falling by now? Either way, she chuckled, reaching up to play with Alek's gloriously tousled hair. "I fear we slept the morning away."

"Hmm?" Alek's features softened as he looked at Ashierra. He had always found her especially beautiful but for some reason the sunlight that flickered through the leaves made that fact stand out even more to him.

He was about to comment on it to her before looking over in surprise. Afternoon seriously? Alek playfully smacked at Ashierra's hand which was playing with his hair and caught it in his own. The cattaur laced his fingers with hers and gave them a gentle squeeze, "They'll think we're dead or something." He commented lightly before looking back at her.

"Though I can believe I'm dead - to be with such a beautiful angel like this."

Ashierra sighed again, kissing the fingers caught around her hand. "Don't say such silly things." She murmured, pressing his captured hand against her cheek. She closed her eyes against the thought. She knew he was playing, but still...
She smiled, kissing his hand again. "I'm not an angel any more than you're a taurified god. As much as you look the part."
She did flick her ears back at the thought of 'they.' "Will Jade still be in the village?" She asked softly.

His hand squeezed her's before pulling free. "Aye, aye." Alek purred as his fingers trailed lightly down Ashierra's cheek. His movements paused a split second before his fingers wrapped around her chin and lifted her gaze to his."Just look?" Alek grinned, "I guess I did trick you mortals after all."

He moved back towards the path. "Well I guess we'll just have to see if she is." Alek replied looking back over his shoulder, "Come on, Ashierra. We've got some moving to do."

The sooner they left this village the more relaxed he could feel. Right? Hopefully.

"Ah. I should have known." Ashierra smiled, taking a moment to stretch, trying to brush a couple tangles from her hair with her fingers as she followed after Alek.
Reaching the path, she looked both ways. As much as she wanted to take Alek's hand and go down one of the forks' paths, she also didn't want to leave without saying good-bye to Jade. After all she had done...
Ashierra smiled again, giving the male's haunches a pat. "Well, lets get moving then."

"Of course." Alek moved down the path and gave a light, tricky, sweet smile to Ashierra from over his shoulder. "I like moving. Question is how fast?" With that the cattaur pushed his back paws against the firm ground and leaped onto the path.

As soon as he landed, Alek took off running. A bright grin decorated the male's face as he remembered running on a beach. He dodged branches and couldn't help but to think about how much easier it was to run without trees and bushes as obstacles.

Ashierra instantly narrowed her eyes, recognizing Alek's sneaky grin. "Hey!" She laughed, pushing off through the foliage after the male, starting off a bit slower than she could have gone. Last night had left its mark on her muscles. Besides, now she could enjoy the view ahead of her without feeling too guilty.
It didn't take long though until her old self kicked her legs into higher gear and she started to catch up, claws digging at the ground.

Alek was still laughing as the village came into view. His paws stung at the harsh contact with the hard ground, but it wasn't too bad especially since he had slowed down in the middle of the run. But it felt so good! Feeling the breeze against his fur as he became a running blur - he loved that feeling especially.

He loved other things special too. Talking of which - he had lost track of his surroundings, including those surrounding him. Alek looked for Ashierra with a light grin. "Looks like it's still standing!" He joked as he looked back to where the village gate was open.

Late afternoon as it was - well he wondered about Jade's whereabouts. Even that other cat! What ever could be going on? Alek shrugged even as he thought it. Other taur's business was not his own that is unless they were directly involved in his business. But right now the need to move, to travel was starting to burn again.

Ashierra kept good pace with Alek until the village. She slowed more as it came into view, remembering the previous hours there. "Yeah, still standing. Luckily." She shook her head. At the rate she had been going, she probably would have burned the whole place down by the end of the night.
As they passed through the gates, she hugged closer to Alek's side, eyes scanning everywhere. "Unless you want to eat here, I just need to grab my bag from the inn room." She wanted to leave soon too.

"Very luckily." Whispered Alek while he shook his head in faint disbelief at the memories of the fight and of...other things. This place was something he wouldn't forget any time soon. His gaze settled only for a second on Ashierra as she hugged closer. Alek's attention was mainly focused on the village path. It seemed pretty clear today - no sign of danger yet.

Still he couldn't help but to place an arm around Ashierra's shoulders. "I don't think we need to eat here. I mean - we can grab some supplies at the market, but no sit down meals. Unless you need to eat?" He looked down at Ashierra with a faint line of worry. "No matter how much I want to grab supplies and my stuff and flee - if you feel the need to stop or rest, I will."

Although Ashierra wanted to smile as Alek's arm went around her, she was preoccupied with watching her surroundings. Was this a sleep in day for everyone? It seemed so... empty.
"Huh? Oh, no, I'll be fine. We can grab my bag, freshen our supplies and go." She said, nodding slightly. The word "flee" had made her uncomfortable. Them? Fleeing? It seemed silly that they should be afraid of this place anyway after proving their strength the day before. Or, when Alek had proven his strength. She had just been a little kitten... Her eyes slid forward again to hide her self-anger. "We can just get out of here."

"They're seeing if the bandits are going to come back for revenge." Whispered Alek as he observed the empty streets. Surely not. Those bandits were probably shivering in some hiding spot since their naga and magic supply were mostly cut off now. Such fools to depend on a snake for life.

"Alright. You go ahead into the rooms and grab our bags. Mine's right there in plain view and I already paid the inn keeper." Alek smiled reassurance, "I'll be right down here waiting for you by the time you leave, if not just wait for me. I'm going to buy some supplies." His arm freed her and the cattaur stepped away. After another step Alek paused and looked back at Ashierra, "Anything you need while I'm shopping?"

Ashierra frowned slightly. If they came back and tried anything, she would kill them for making her look so weak before. For bringing that naga. And for terrorizing this town.
Nodding, she turned to go inside, pausing only to look back, tilting her head slightly. “Just some fresh food. Everything I need is in my bag.” She gave him a small smile, turning back to the inn entrance. It was oddly comforting and unsettling at the same time, feeling how much she wanted Alek to be around. After all this time, thinking alone was better.
Inside the inn, she headed straight for the stairs. Even inside, there were only two lone patrons in the main room, sipping drinks and talking in low voices. They barely looked at her as she went through and up the steps. There was Alek’s bag. She tossed her own next to his, but first stepped into the restroom to rinse her body off. The cool water was soothing.

"Alrighty then." Alek disappeared down the street towards the main market. With a relieved sigh the cattaur noted that some were braving the outdoors and vendors had opened some shops. His gaze softened, good. Now the question was who dared to sell to him?

With a bitter chuckle the cattaur went further into the shadows of the street.

Soon enough he came back with both bags filled, not to mention a second shoulder bag that hugged his chest. Fire magic lit up his eyes as he tossed up an apple and then bit into it. Mmm'hmm. His odd habit made a vendor sigh as they watched the cattaur heading back towards the inn.

Refreshed, Ashierra fastened her bag to herself, lugged Alek's bag over her shoulder, double checked the room and headed down the steps. At the bottom, one of the two patrons was standing at the bottom of the steps, looking at his hands until her silent paws entered his field of vision.

"Ah, you... You're one of da bandit fighters, ain't'chya."

Head tilting down slightly, she gave it a gentle shake, hand relaxing from Alek's bag in case the cervi was about to yell at her. "No, not really. Those were... friends of mine, fighting the naga off. I didn't do much."

The cervi shook his head with more vigor. "Nyuh-uh! I saw'd you dere, from mah bedroom winda'. Dat one green chick, she lifted you up in de air droppin' you on dat naga an' you an' dat ohder cat attacked dat naga jack like no tomorrow wuz comin'. Could only juz' barely see, 'cause of dat fiyah ring, bu' I saws it." He grinned bashfully. "We, ah, meh buddy an' me, see, we wanted ta t'ank ya." He looked back at the other male for support, but the cervi at the table kept his head down. "Dem bandits were real terrors. Real terrors. Ev'ryone else heah too afraid ta go after dem wit' dat naga 'round ta retaliate for dem. Mah buddy an' me, we's new heah, bu' it still home now, bu' we couldn't do nuthin' on our own." He smiled again. "Dey's worri'd now t'inkin' dat dey might come back angry, but I don't t'ink we'll have any more trouble wit' dem now dat der' leader is gone and beat."

Ashierra stared a moment, first, trying to decode what the man was telling her, then out of bashfulness of her own. Had she really helped? Up in the air? Flying! Just like she'd thought!
"Oh, well, you're welcome." She breathed, looking between the two males. "And... thank you, for telling me. ...I'll be sure to let the others know."
