"Yes," Adonai called in answer to Kara's question, nudging Rhea forwards towards the playroom, though they both kept their cloaks on. "I don't think Rhea will let me go today, she's still a bit leery from yesterday."
They wandered into the playroom, Rhea clinging to Adonai's robes as if she would die if she let go of them.

"I take it she's still mortified from yesterday?" though the question was more of a statement, she looked down at Rhea and smiled reassuredly, "You know when I came in, Haradhel already finished setting things right. She told me being an elemental user allows her to fix nearly everything and she wasn't angry at all."
In fact Haradhel was more worried than anything else, but it was probably best to leave the worry part out.
Looking back at Adonai Kara explained, "Well, I was told Rhea would need help beyond once I go back home, and I was wondering. If Cindy agrees would you like to have her teach Rhea for however long it takes?"

Rhea's face turned a light shade of red at Kara's mentioning of the previous day's disaster, and despite being reassured that Haradhel hadn't been angry, she chose not to reply and simply pressed herself closer to her father's robes, as if trying to hide.
Adonai blinked at Kara's suggestion and thought it through for a moment. Finally, he smiled.
"If Cindy is willing to stay here for an unknown amount of time," he told Kara softly, "then we would be honoured to have her ... and greatly in her debt."
He smiled down at Rhea. "What do you think?"
Rhea pressed herself even closer to Adonai's robes and stared up at him shyly. "Who's Cindy?"

"Cindy.. or rather Cinderella as she was named is my eldest daughter," Kara explained, "She was taught magic, even though she focuses more on making lotions and potions, she has also been here a few times in the past. Your father knows her."
Well as much as he ever could seeing as he had only met her twice, the third time she believed Adonai was missing, but well... she was sure Cinderella was told that Rhea was Adonai and Shael's daughter she would agree to it.

Rhea looked up at Adonai and tugged on his robes to get his attention. "You know her, Papa?" she asked in a curious voice, sounding more like herself again.
Adonai couldn't help but chuckled. "I have not seen her in a very long time," he admitted. "Not since I was young ... it has to have been at least twenty five years ..."
And when he thought back on it, he knew it was either twenty five or twenty six ... just before Ahren had been born ...
"Has Cindy even been here since the ranch was first begun?" he asked Kara curiously. "I haven't seen her since the first time anyone from your world saw the ranch ..."

"Once only, it was when you were traveling," Kara explained, "I don't know if Shael told you since the two have met."
They talked quite a bit, which was good seeing at the time Shael had been... slightly (understatement) upset at Adonai having left. Cindy of course hadn't changed since then, but seeing how long it took her to become at least a teenager no one was surprised by this.

Adonai blinked. "I ... no, she hadn't mentioned," he murmured, looking very much as if he wanted to scratch his head in confusion. "Though ... I have to admit," he added sheepishly, "me coming home with her brother and sister probably drove it from her mind, if she was thinking about it ... you never met them ... I should ask them to visit, it would be rather amusing."
He chuckled softly. "And they have good reason to come ... they haven't met Rhea yet. Between us trying to find a ... settled way of life, and the two of them taking care of Pen and Lothiriel ... it's been pretty hectic for all of us. I understand the palace is ready for them to move in now - or soon - so that will leave Reuven and Rayna free. Freer, at least."
Rhea looked up at her father. "Is that my aunt and uncle you told me about?" she asked him.
Adonai patted her gently on the head and nodded, smiling warmly. "You'll meet them someday," he murmured.

Kara giggled at that, yes she would agree so.
"No, I haven't, it would be nice to meet them," she admitted, "I didn't know Shael had siblings."
Though then again no one asked, not even after all this time, it just never occured anyone to do so.
"You surprised her greatly didn't you," Kara asked Adonai.

Adonai chuckled softly. "Yes ... of everything that she had imagined I might be doing, I don't think finding her blood family would have crossed her mind."
He tried to pry Rhea off his robes - unsuccessfully - and looked back at Kara. "Shael has an older brother, Reuven, and an identical ... or rather, almost identical twin sister, Rayna," he explained. "I say almost identical because Rayna is several inches taller, which I can only explain by Shael's time in captivity. Her growth must have been severely stunted by malnutrition. Not to mention the injuries she had when we found her ..."

Kara tried to keep a straight face watching Adonai try to get Rhea to let go. It reminded her of Miyu in a way.
"Yes... that is to be expected," her eyes trailed back to Rhea, "Rhea... don't you want to come over here?"
Poor girl must be beyond nervous and shy.

Rhea pressed herself closer to Adonai's robes and shook her head.
"We should go outside," she mumbled, her words muffled by his robes. "So that I don't wreck anything again."
Adonai's eyes were filled with pity as he looked down at his daughter, placing one hand on her head and stroking it gently. "I'm going to stay with you today, remember?" he reminded her softly. "It will be all right ..."

"Alright," Kara replied putting her book aside.
She stood up and allowed herself ot shake out her skirts a bit before making her way over to the two.
"Let's take the lesson outside, don't worry, everything will be fine."
She had done well yesterday despite any set back, at least Kara thought so.

Rhea looked up at Kara as she drew near, and a the promise that they would be heading outside, she perked up a bit and loosened her grip on Adonai's robes - though she didn't let go entirely. She nodded and started toawrds the door, her wings ruffling slightly as she walked.
Adonai smiled at Kara and motioned for her to lead the way outside.

Kara smiled softly and nodded making her way out, forgoing the cloak because she still didn't need it. It was cool but not too cool, and the feathers were still good for warming her up.
She opened the door, feeling the cool wind at her face as she stepped out.
"A good clear day," she murmured thoughtfully, looking down at Rhea.

"Probably not for long," Rhea muttered under her breath as she followed Kara and her father outside.
"We brought some extra clothes for Rhea, just in case," Adonai smiled at Kara. "Shael was ... well, she was horrified when she saw how wet Rhea was when she came home yesterday ... though she tried not to show it."
That was the one thing that Rhea was sensitive about: her magic, and her lack of control over it. Nothing else ever seemed to bother her.
