Eve just shook her head sadly and stared ahead of her. At his question, she looked to him and shook her head again. "Thank you, but no thank you. Never in my life have I eaten infront of others. It's a strange quirk of mine, but thank you for the thought." She told him with a light smile. Sighing, she got to her feet and grabbed her sword that rested nearby. "I'll be outside training." The princess said to everyone before leaving the shelter, going out into the snow to fight imaginary enemies.

Vadász grimaced, it hadn't worked. "Alright..." He murmured, getting up from where he was, nodding to her when she left. "Maybe I'll tell one-" He drew his swords and blocked, knocking away the fangs that had leaped at him. A snake hit the ground, hissing at him when he changed into a hawk, screeching before diving down before the snake could get away. Countering another attack, his beak tore at the eyes, hearing the cry in his head of the human whose form that was. Flying back, he dove again, getting hit with the tail with a screech. Again he knocked away the fangs, twisting the head as he stabbed with his beak once more, talons grabbing the body before flying up a bit, slamming the head repeatedly against the ground. When the blood started pooling he stopped, dropping the snake while changing back to his human form. He was panting, holding a hand to his arm where he had gotten struck. "Dammit... That was too close." He muttered, the charm around his neck beginning to glow when ice started forming around the body, shattering into millions of pieces once it was fully formed. If I'm found, I'll probably only bring trouble to them... Turning his gaze to Cori, he gave her a small smile, a hint of sadness in it. "Forgive me for troubling you both." He ripped the arm of his shirt off, looking at the wound, a vial soon appearing in his hand. He poured it's contents into the wound, tying the sleeve around the wound for now. He poured himself a fresh glass, downing the entire thing in one gulp.

Roran looked up to Leena when she spoke to him. "This pup? He's an old friend. We got into a rather awkward hunting incident. You could say we were hunting for the same thing." Roran looked down at the wolf when the horses began to move faster. Kantern had begun to change his pace, catching up quickly. His eyes slightly narrowed, they both knew what he was thinking.

Kantern was keeping with the horses as they trotted along. Lowering his head to smell, his shoulder blades began to show as he walked. He was trying to get the horses' and the woman's smell. Roran was being friendly with them, so they must be of some importance to him. Catching all three scents, he memorized which scent went to which being. A horse was easy to track. Their scents were rough and had a wider range. Kantern could smell a horse a mile away from where they actually passed by. By the human-like creature's scent, he could tell she was a wizard. Their scents were very much like humans, when tracking. The smell wouldn't travel very far without some wind, and even with the wind, you had to be downwind or right on the trail the humans took. Human-like creatures were the hardest beings to track using smell. Wizards, for example, had a scent tainted with magic. Magic's scent was very bitter, even the ones that are used to bring pleasant smells to the surroundings. At the core, all magic's scent is bitter. Kantern could smell it all over the woman. What made it difficult to track wizards was the fact that, when teleporting, the scent's trail would end in what can only be described as a magical, bitter explosion. If that were the case, the trail would be lost.

This wizard smelled peculiar to him, as did Roran's usual scent. They had traces of elves on them. It wasn't too shocking since they were in Aduial, but the smell was strong enough to prove that they had been in the presence of elves. An elf's scent was lighter than a humans, they left even shorter trails than humans, and if you weren't a mile behind an elf, or anywhere downwind of it, there wouldn't be a trail at all. You basically had to be right on top of them. Plus, elven magic was different from normal magic. It was still bitter, all magic is bitter, but it had a sweetened bit to it as well. This didn't concern Kantern too much, elves were genrally kind creatures, especially to a wizard, but to a hunter, Kantern couldn't be too sure. He heard the woman's question, letting Roran answer.

He raised his muzzle to smell if Roran had injuries. He could tell if you had a cut or a bruise easily by the smeel of your blood being stronger than usual. Roran didn't have any, his scent as it had been when they first met, unharmed. A hunter's scent was more concentrated than a human's, the smell being stronger in perspective. Even so, hunters are nearly impssible to track. Most of them wear some kind of cloak or cape, which catches the scent trail and keeps there from being anything but a very small trail. You'd literally need to be within five yards to smell them. Since that's the case, a hunter would know you were there before you even catch the smell. A hunter's scent is also dirtier, for lack of a better word. Not only more conentrated, but it was a stronger smell. The peculiar thing with Roran was that his blood had the Mereth magic in it. Kantern knew how that blood affected Roran. Because of it though, the center of his scent was slightly bitter with magic. Kantern could pick Roran out of a crowd anywhere because he could easily have a one of a kind blood mix. The only way to get a smell anywhere similar to Roran's would be to clone him. Kantern took pride in this knowledge, even though it didn't help anything.

The horses began to move faster and Kantern opened his eyes. Immediatly he set his pace to keep up. He could outrun a horse anyday. The problem was stamina. His stamina couldn't outrun a horse's. He knew he could go to his were form and stay with them for as long as they ran, but he didn't want to waste away the strength. As soon as he caught up to Roran, he jumped up at the hunter, transforming in the air and sliding in behind his friend. The transformation was a very smooth one. His body would glow a bit as the body's edges became like water and remolded themselves. His hair imediatly wipped behind him, allowing him to see. "My old friend, how are you?"

When Kantern jumped, Roran had to tighten his hold on the reigns as the horse tried to move away. The horse stayed under control, luckily, and Roran smiled at his friend's presence. "I'm doing well," Roran spoke without tilting his head to the side. He knew Kantern, of all beings, would hear him without the need of raising his voice. "What brings you to Aduial?"

"I should be asking the same! I've been here looking for you! I figured you could use some help. Talagand hasn't offered any help yet, but I can assure you that when the need arises, Eve shall have the aid of the Talagandian's at her side. We knew they were there waiting for the elf."

"I'm here to gain the aid of the elves. Eve needs them now, and they seemed to have listened, though if they sent the whole army they are more foolish than I thought." Roran expression grew dim. "Kantern, have you heard of the incident in Talagand. It just happened, so I doubt it, but a huge explosion happened. Altarion is behind it and a chunk of T alagand has been destroyed. Eve made it there, and Altarion attacked."

"I know of it now." Kantern's voice was lowered. "Listen I know I should go back to aid my kind, but your mission is of higher importance. If I were to go help now, Altarion could just ruin everything we fix. If I aid you and get rid of Altarion, what we fix afterwards will not be disrupted for a long time."

Roran nodded. "Okay. Well, right now we're heading out to some of Aduial's villages to try and get a small regiment started. Right now, that regiment will go to Eve's aid as well, though if what I now fear is true, that could change." You looked to Leena ahead of them. "Lady Leena, how much of the army left with that group?" His voice was raised so she could hear.

Kanern only knew she was a wizard, though with what Roran addressed her as, he assumed she was royalty or a high ranking officer. Roran would be called as such in Moth. He kept quiet once Roran spoke to the wizardess, wanting to know the situation.

Leena seemed relieved that he wasn't bothered by the necromancy, glancing back to the werewolf once more. "Ah, I see." She then paused, her eyes clouding over as they rode. Something was wrong, very wrong. "Mi történt -hoz akadály? Miért mindenki mozgott még?" She murmured, turning her gaze to the right, one of her spies there, keeping up with them.

"Volt helyben. Ez akar látszik amit merénylő kapott -hoz másikak." The woman replied, watching her queen calmly.

Her lips tightened into a thin line, "Rendben van Húz mindenki ki. Megőrülök -hoz kell megpróbál valami máshol. Megpróbál -hoz eltartás némely része a akadály megjelöl mégis , eltartás néz felső a Király és Anira." She told her quickly, her eyes darting to Roran and his friend next to her. She may have been raised in Mereth, but she still held Aduial blood. "Stay with them dammit! Make sure that they get out before the attack comes." She had noticed her spy pause, sending her away with the flick of a wrist.

Blinking a little as she heard Roran, she appeared calm again, though the air started feeling rather thick, giving off the oppressive feeling one can get before a large storm. "It was the entire army. Aduial is completely left open to attack at this point." The edge in her voice gave away what she was really feeling, Sebesen suddenly pulling far ahead of Roran, the need for speed was crucial. They are already moving... "Von!" She called, looking next to her again. "Make sure you protect that crystal with your life. Get that to Talia, it's the only hope that Aduial has of survival. Megy most! Siet!" She commanded, glancing back to the castle. "Anira! Get out of here, if you can hear me at all, leave and take your father with you if he's back yet."

Her cloak disintigrated rather suddenly, the outline of her body glowing faintly. She chanted silently, accessing every well of power that she held within her body for this, it was one of the most difficult spells to cast, it was one of the forbidden ones due to it's nature. I have no choice. She was expanding the affected area so it was the same as the barrier she had order her spies to erect around most of Aduial, the spell only affecting the area inside of the barrier. She had to alter it a little so that those that were still there wouldn't be affected, which made it all the harder. Pulling a shard from within her robes, she threw it onto the ground, making it shatter as she said the last words of the spell. Now when the force from Altarion came to Aduial, they were in for a surprise. The longer they stayed within this invisible barrier, the more it would eat away at their flesh and kill them slowly. The landscape appeared the same, but it would be deadly for them when they came. It was a spell that ate at the soul and body. If one or the other perished first, then it was death that greeted them in that instant. Anira and the King would be safe while they were there, their elven magic able to protect them.

Panting, she checked to make sure it was correct, slumping on Sebesen's back from exhaustion. She would be lucky if she didn't fall off of the horses back, for now she was safe due to how she collapsed. Her face was drawn, a little paler than normal, the mare whinnying before slowing to a stop.

"We cannot leave our kingdom. It is alright. We are protecting our people, even if it means the death of us." Anira replied very calmly. But soon she saw what Leena did and sighing, she went out to retrieve the queen, kneeling by her as she slowly restored her strength with Elven magic. "There is something of Eve's we must protect. Our people can try to run, but if we leave, we let them murder Selena." She explained quietly as she woke Leena back up. "You need to leave. Everything we've done, we've done in preparation for this." She said with a light smile. "Aduial was destined to fall, but our fall might help Eve get more support from other countries. The army was too small to split up and still be of any use. It was hard decision to make, but we are alright with it. The people fled long ago, there has been a spell up for months." She murmured.

Leena blinked slowly as she opened her eyes, everything blurry at first before they focused on Anira, her eyes widening a little. She listened silently, knowing that the crystal that Von was holding was already in pieces, a husk. She pushed herself up slowly, wincing as she felt her head throb a little. "Alright..." She said softly, holding a hand out over the ground, the shard that shattered piecing itself back together before returning to her hand, vanishing once more into her robes. "May your souls retain such peace." She said quietly, the mask shredded as if by fire, showing the small smile on her lips. Sebesen snorted a little, seeming anxious to go. She bowed her head to the Princess, touching her forehead gently. Letting her hand fall away, she let Sebesen ride, ignoring how it hurt to watch the home of her mother die like this.

Roran heard the queen and his eyes darkened. "As I was saying," he told Kantern, "if what I fear is true, it'll change." He pulled the reigns, having Gyors spin on his hind legs. Kicking him forward, he was going back to the castle. He had to get to the king.

What the hell are we doing? I thought we were going to get men for a regiment!" This was not like Roran. He hardly acted impulsivley. Roran loved to have a plan set in place and then to execute it. "Roran, what's going on?"

"Aduial's entire army is leaving to go with Eve. With them all gone, this place is unprotected. Knowing the few elves I do, I'm sure they're okay with falling with their kingdom. We need the king though. He's the only reason we have for getting aid from other countries. He's our only reasoning tool other than Eve being Selena reborn."

Kantern shook his head. "What would you say? Um, 'yes, well, we have the elf king's support, so we thought you'd support us too?' Really, Roran?"

"Precisely." The horse came upon the castle rather quickly. They hadn't gotten far, after all. As soon as they got near, Roran jumped off and Kantern did as well, transforming into his wolf form. When Roran looked down and saw the wolf by his side, he smirked. Bursting into the room, he spoke before he could tell if anyone was there. "King Lostarial, you need to come with us!"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 21, 2008 1:50 pm

"General, what's going on?" This day was not going how she would have liked. Now that everyone was getting ready to leave and grabbing as many horses as they could from the townsfolk, she was stressed even more.

"Hm? Oh! General! Well, the King has recieved orders from the princess to send the army out. Everyone's leaving. Including, and especially, you."

"When the hell did he come, and why did he not ask for me?"

"Who knows. Maybe he realizes that this position is not meant for women who look so shy but can be so fierce. Especially ones who are only in their position because their mothers were."

"You talk poorly of my mother again, and I'll have you demoted." The general immediatly stopped speaking and went back to business. Lyn was confused as to why the king hadn't asked for her, but she wasn't going to question him. Their orders were to give aid when asked. They had been asked. It was time to give.

It took only five minutes for Lyn to get everything ready to go and onto her horse. By their horses' standards, they'd be with their princess before dawn of the next day. As she had her horse walked out to the front before setting off, she looked back at her army. She opened her mouth to speak and the world seemed to drown out as silence filled her ears. "The princess has called for our aid," her voice magnified itself. She was screaming, nor yelling. "We will get their by dawn, and cannot afford breaks. Those who need it, take it and meet us as soon as possible." Turning the horse around, a big "Yes General Nacelyne," followed. As soon as she kicked the horse off, the thunder of their travel began.

Leena heard Gyors whinny, pulling Sebesen to a stop. Dammit. She climbed off of her friend, patting her muzzle, whispering something in her ear, "Találkozik minket -nél vár, Én haladó -ra előre." She smiled softly, vanishing into the light, reappearing outside the castle, running in after Roran. He didn't know what Anira had said, though, would he have listened was another matter entirely. "Roran! Roran we need to go!" She called, glancing around for him before she spotted him in a room.

Coming up behind him, she touched his arm, then swinging around ahead of them to block their way. "Stop, we have to let this happen. Anira and her father accepted this fate. This has to happen. Anira told me this." She knew that he may push past her, but she had to try. "I hate to say it, but we do... So please, lets just go and catch up to Eve and the army. Otherwise Altarion's forces that are coming here will find us and what we have done will be for naught." Though the princess had returned to her her strength, it felt like it had only been most of it, swaying a little though she stayed on her feet. It didn't help that she was using her powers anyways. "Please." She whispered, glancing between the two of them. "You have my word if anything to try and offset the others into joining us." She stood straight, tracing a line around her neck with her finger, removing the fabric that had formed her mask, leaving part of her neck exposed. It wasn't important if he saw scars, her hand letting the black fabric hit the floor. Her golden eyes were watching his now, not showing any form of weakness in herself. Please listen to me... She hoped, sensing a shadow coming ever closer towards them.

"You are here because you believe you need me as any proof for support from other countries. Well, I guess I'll be another stubborn elf to hate for you. I'm not leaving. At my death, my sword shall be sent to Eve. And once it is in her hands, she should have no trouble gaining the support of other nations. However, I must stay here with Anira. I am king. If my land is forsaken, then I am as well. And Anira and I must protect something of Valanthiriel's that she could not take with her. If that is destroyed, then Valanthiriel could be in even greater danger." The king said as he turned his head to Roran, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword.

Aki sighed, watching the forests burn. Her army had been ordered to stay out as long as possible, only a few going in to keep the fires burning and spreading before retreating, where they immediatly fed on those they had found. She felt the amulet against her chest, to ward of necromancy. Each of her Red Sisters held one as well, and several of the leaders of her army. Only the ones she didn't want dead. "How much?"
"Ten dead already, more feeling the effects. Nearly a fourth of the forests are gone." the soldier said, retreating away from the princess as soon as she had nodded, a dismisal.

"You aren't and stop appologizing to me. Us. Whoever." Cori said, shaking her head in frustration at her inability to speak properly. She bit her tongue, looking to him after a moment as she forced herself to not bombard him with questions, most circling around his well-being. "Because you're not supposed to be here?" she asked quietly, motioning faintly to the snake, or what was left of it, and pushing back the urge to let him wrap his arm properly, with something other than a shirt sleeve.

He blinked a little at the firmness in her words, staring at her blankly for a moment. Then he smiled distantly, he could sense her self-restraint. And so, he reached out to calm her with his empathetic powers, adding in a sense that it was alright. "Alright then, I won't." He murmured, sighing heavily as he nodded. "Yes, that." He glanced to the shards of ice as they melted, the glow fading from around his neck. Suddenly he chuckled, offering his arm to her. "You want to fix it right? Go ahead, I won't bite." He was quiet then for a moment, eating another sandwich before returning his eyes to her. "Cori, you don't have to worry about asking me too many questions." He suddenly said quietly, brushing his wine colored hair back.

Cori paused, taken aback. "A telepath too?" she asked after a moment, smiling faintly. She moved so that she could rewrap his arm, green eyes not meeting his as she did so. Ever since she was little she had always done this, been almost paranoid when someone was hurt. Unless of course, it was herself. Then she ignored it or did the bare minimal.

Vadász again looked at her blankly, "A telepath? Me? Oh no! No no no," He couldn't help but laugh a little, smiling softly to her as he watched what she did. "No, as an empath, well, a strong empath, it's easy to tell what people are feeling. I don't consciously do it, but it happens. So, from there I extrapolate using their actions, tones of voice, inflections, body language, where they look, that sort of thing and judge from there what they are thinking about. He then looked up, sighing lightly, "I know you said not to apologize, but I am. I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, this ability of mine. I know it has made many feel that way, so, if it bothers you tell me and I just won't say anything about it or use it anymore around you."

Cori looked up, then smiled. "It doesn't bother me, not nearly as much as a telepath does. It's just reading me, not my thoughts. Directly anyway. I might glare at you for it depending on what you find, but I'm fine with it." she said, relaxing and finishing with his arm, sitting back on her heels. "Too tight, loose?" she asked, nodding towards the bandage.
