I--Oboy. Ryal wasn’t too happy about being left to fend for himself. I… I don’t even really know him! What do I… what would he be interested in talking about?? I don’t know how to relate to a Dark User! He’s-- He stifled a sigh. He had already been through all this in his head. He didn’t need to do it again… He cleared his throat, trying to think of anything that might spark the attention of someone from the Dark Kingdom. “So… how do… What uh… what can you… do? With your element, I mean?” He shifted his weight a bit, still feeling like an awkward clutz in the conversation. His eyes wandered the horizon once again, scanning for something-anything to draw his attention. Maybe he could find something to start a real conversation. “What in…?” In a sudden panic, he flew out of the warm water and had his clothes and weapons on him in an instant. Near the edge of the woods, beyond where the Earthen soldiers were beginning their celebrations, Ryal could just make out a figure. …Evan and… A tiger…? Evan looked ready to strike. NO! You can’t-- Ryal dashed in their direction, wanting to get to him before anything could happen, but his momentum was stopped nearly as suddenly as it had started. He skidded to a halt as he realized… Seth… I can’t just-- He spun around and tried to hide his embarrassment with a look of concern, which was not entirely an untrue statement. “There’s something going on out here!” He jerked his head in Evan’s general direction. “I need to go check it out… something isn’t right! You can-- well, you come or not, but I need to check this out!" Ryal paused just long enough to toss his clothes over himself and grabbed his weapons as he dashed passed. As he neared the area where the two were squaring off, or rather the one, as Evan seemed to be doing most of the work here, Ryal skidded to a stop, kicking up quite a cloud of dust. And capturing the attention of both his near mindless friend and an almost certain foe. Evan's head snapped around, showing a snaggle toothed snarl which immediately became a look of confused shock when he saw who had caused the racket behind him. Boy! Danger, now! That Boy! Feeling heavily protective of Ryal, he whipped his head back around to face the tiger once more, moving himself between the hulking beast and his young charge. "Evan, wai-- what are... No! You don't need t--" Ryal's reasoning was drowned out by a low, deep, and very loud growl. It rattled on, it steadily grew in intensity, stirring even more anxiety within Ryal's harbor of worry. As it continued, it became apparent that the sound was, in fact, coming from Evan. Then, seemingly without any warning, Evan dissapeared into a dense cloud of dust all his own as he launced himself at the offending tiger. "NO!" With a single sweep of his arm, Ryal pulled an arrow froom his quiver-which at this point was at his feet, knocked it, and pulled the bow tense. He had to take a moment longer to aim than he would otherwise, to avoid hitting Evan. He increased the pull on his bow, a bit of overkill at such a close range, but he didn't want to take any chances.

Suddenly, the assassin heard a sound coming from the forest, he could just make out two figures standing around where he...
He dashed off, pulling his bow as he ran, leaving the likely confused paladin behind without a thought. As he approached the two... humanoid figures, one was human, but the other did not appear so, he was able to make out what sounded like someone trying to speak clearly when they were panicking. The beastial humanoid pounced, and the archer behind him knocked an arrow. He could immediately tell it was meant to be a killing shot. Before he could think, an arrow had been knocked into his bow, sighted, and fired. The arrow was engulfed in shadows as it flew towards it's target, the shadows only adding to the speed at which the arrow moved.
Aspect shifted his weight as the half-man leaped at him, springing to his feet, and out of the way of the wild charge. While keeping his claws safely retracted, he tackled the creature, and placed the majority of his weight on the man, and began to lick his face while emitting a loud rumbling sound from deep in his throat that seemed to placate humans a good portion of the time.
The arrow Ninton had fired pierced the shaft of the arrow the Knotherner had knocked in his bow, shattering both bolts. "Don't fire upon my mount." Ninton's eyebrows creased as he looked upon the scene. He didn't really know what was happening at the moment, but he would not allow anyone to harm his mount. Then he looked once again at the archer. He seemed familiar, but Ninton couldn't put his finger on the why.
