If she wanted to turn back now, it was too late. As they entered, Avarice closed the door, watching the two. "So, Gregory. This is who you've decided to recruit to our ranks...interesting. Hello, Lily."

Sergei was looking over the scroll when he found an interesting tid bit on the abilities of a count in his family specifically. He found that he could use the sonic waves of his bat ability to communicate with a specific person who could detect such things. Sergei opened his mouth and sent a sonic wave instead of speaking so Gregory would learn and tell him what was going on."I thought it was best for me not to scare the living crap out of her, tell the doctor I am getting closer and the bats say that Edward just tried to kill himself or something of that nature. Tell me what is going on because I won't be able to see Gregory and may be later I'll let you watch me kill a village of people."This was the ideal child, obedient and filled with a love of hatred and death just like Sergei.

He looked up at Avarice. Deciding to tell Avarice the part about Edward's suicide attempt when Lily wasn't around. "Sergei didn't want to scare you Lily. That's why he isn't here." He said, smiling.
Dr. Avarice examined Lily's expression. "So, you intend to leave The Red Cross and join us instead? Or is Gregory here being hopeful? I can assure you though...I will keep a close eye on your well-being. The child interest me far too much."

((I'll just wait for her to post and once you guys have talked for a little then have Gregory tell Sergei what's going on, in a summary not exactly. Because otherwise Sergei will be clueless and Gregory won't get a valuable lesson in death. xp ))

Sergei read further to discover that becoming an ancient was possible but two things stood in his way. One was getting into a vampire mansion for the ceremony and the second was getting all of his grand father's equipment for an ancient was a title past down by blood and objects that the previous ancient stored power in should they die before passing down their ********, first the vampires are after me and then they are one step ahead of me. They must have anticipated that I would turn on them from the beginning and took my heirlooms before I could get to them. If only one of my family members were still alive I could find out where the rest are. The only thing this scroll is good for is telling me what I can do with the power and how to get it, but not where to find the things I need."

Gregory felt bad for listening in, but couldn't help it. 'Maybe it has a hidden message within the note?' Gregory thought, sending them back towards Sergei.

Sergei didn't mind to much, he called out to Gregory for him to come over to his room while Avarice talked with Lily."I had thought of that but no, I tried all the tricks I could think of including a flame which is why the little part at the bottom is singed. But I think my grandfather assumed that the vampire's would figure out where he put the other items so he put them in locations I would think of. The way I see it the only ones not claimed by the vampires are as follows, a gold chain that completes my family crest which I already have, my grandfather's journal, and my mother's bracelet. But the only person who would know the location of any of those would be my brother, and all that's left of him is his head and I don't think he'll be raising from the dead any time soon to talk with us."Sergei smirked at the prospect, how upset his brother would be that he had reached count before him.

Gregory entered, hopping up on the bed. "It said something about your bloodline, correct? Why not try putting your blood on it? Maybe that's how it'll work?" He wasn't sure how Sergei would take that, but he figured anything was worth a try. "Unless...you tried that."

Sergei nodded, he had used the blood from his gash he got from that count earlier."Actually I used about five people until the keeper of scrolls in a near by village said that it wasn't going to work that way. I believed him only because he was the only person left in his shop and it made sense. Wait a second, you must have some sort of necromancer ability since you excel at everything else odd. Do you think you could make my brother's head speak with us for a moment and tell us where the necklace or bracelet is?"It wouldn't have been the first time the child had surprised him and he assumed it wouldn't be the last.

He looked skeptical. "Earlier I read some of Avarice's books...so I could try. Bring me his head." He seemed hesitant. "Sergei. The process requires me to put blood on his lips...that isn't going to revive him or anything, is it? He can't...regrow himself? Can he?"

Sergei shook his head and took his brother's head out of his coffin and took out his dagger."No, that's impossible, I know enough about necromancy to know that for a fact. But I have seen heads speak, and complain, and die again only to be revived a second later by a very upset necromancer. All I need to know is where the location of either one is, or both, not the exact placement, he would never say that, he hated being precise, it's how I killed him. So here's a dagger and use it on me or who ever you need blood from, I have plenty to spare."Sergei cracked his neck and wondered if this kid really knew what he was doing.

"I'll use your blood. That way he'll have to listen to you. You know the right questions." Holding out the dagger, he muttered the words he'd recited from Avarice's books earlier, running the blade down Sergei's palm. He watched the blood pool, then smeared it onto the dagger until he figured it would be enough of an amount for Sergei to get what he needed from his brother.
Finally, he dipped his fingers in the blood and applied it to the head's forehead, mouth and ears just as he finished the chanting. "Now we wait." He didn't want to disappoint Sergei and hoped it worked.

Sergei whispered something in his brothers ear and the head breathed in some how and began to talk in Sergei's ear. Sergei nodded and the head exhaled, dead once more."We have a problem and an easy find. Our problem is that some idiot raided my mother's tomb and stole the bracelet, but that isn't half the problem. He was tracked down by my brother twenty years ago and was killed by him. My brother then buried it there and guess what's there now, the red cross building in the outer lands. We'll deal with that later, well unless you can ask your mommy to get it for you. But the necklace is easy to get, well for me it is. I have to fight my way through trolls in Germany. So I think we should make getting the bracelet the priority, I will go to germany on friday."Sergei couldn't help but laugh at the mommy thing, Avarice was a sick man, and Sergei admired that.
((I will actually be on vacation from friday to july 29th.))
