Synne nodded "For our kind of magic it's normal to use a wand. But Mommy and Uncle Sal and Godric can do wandless... and so can we! Erian can do soem thinsg but he mainly had to practice with a wand."
Erian shrugged "I guess... I just don't want to be hated by someone I'm living with..." He bit his lip nervously.

"Saber and Arcanon don't have any magic that I know of," Valzar said pulling the book back down. "But Proteus doesn't use wands either...he works with a different type of magic."
Arcanon frowned, "Why would you say that? No one around here hates you, Erian."
In the darkness of his chambers Azaroth stirred from a restless sleep. He groaned pushing himself up, aching muscles instantly reminding him of recent events that echoed in dreams. "Nightmares are more like it," he muttered shaking his head trying to clear it. He still felt tired, but at least it wasn't the same complete exhaustion that had forced him to retire...what was it, hours, days ago? He couldn't be sure.

Synne blinked "really? What does Proteus use?"
Erian shrugged and looked down "Well... he might. Since now we're all living here..."

"Not really sure," Valzar admitted. "Something with lots of symbols, he's always drawing them."
"He won't," Arcanon said firmly. "And if he gives you any trouble he'll be dealing with me. But I seriously doubt you'll have to worry about that."
Azaroth eventually emerged appearing slightly worse for wear, but at least that was better than he felt. He first checked the main room, noting the bag Sal had sent over tucked under the couch. He carried it with him as checked the library, then the kitchen, a faint smile appearing on his face as he caught sight of the kettle and tea cup.

"Oh!" Synne smiled "That sounds like either Runes or alchemy... they're other branches of magic. I'm pretty good at Ancient runes... when I use them."
Erian nodded "Okay.."
Ro was pretty far by now, from both Az's house and where her own was. She wanted a fresh start if she was going to find a new place.

"I think it's the A one that he uses," Valzar said trying to remember. "That sounds right."
"Just relax," Arcanon smiled. "You're going to be just fine here."
"Where is everyone..." Azaroth asked aloud making his way up the stairs. He stopped at the first door hearing the voices inside and opened it slowly, "Is this where everyone's hiding?"

Synne nodded "I don't know Alchemy too well but it does use a lot of symbols"
Erian shrugged and looked up as Az looked in "Hi dad.."

Valzar nodded, "Proteus studies them a lot."
Azaroth set the bag inside the door before moving to check on Erian's progress for himself, "How are you feeling?"

"Thats neat! Maybe I can have him teach me too..."
Erian shrugged "I'm okay.. I had to take another pain potion earlier." He fidgeted a bit "I'm going to stay with Arc awhile... he said I could..."

"If you can ever catch him," Valzar shook his head. "Proteus is usually running all over the place."
"If that's what you want," Azaroth said quietly, instantly another bed appeared across the room as the warlock regard his oldest son. "Just so long as his disrespectful nature does not rub off on you..."
A small glint in onyx eyes was not lost to the teenager who grinned at his father, "If you were not so stubborn, we would not have to resort to such creative means..."
Azaroth rolled his eyes, "Speaking of stubborn, have any of you seen Rowena?"

Erian giggled and shook his head "No... Mommy was unpacking her room.. and then I think she wanted to work on her library... but I've been up here with Arc for awhile.."

"You'll have to pull him away from his new friend," Valzar said quietly. "He found another little pegasus to play with."
"Alright," Azaroth looked back over at Arcanon. "Take care of him."
Arcanon nodded.
Proteus frowned, "Hey, what about me? I'm always getting left out..."
"You help out your brothers." Azaroth added with a small smile, "Try to keep Saber out of trouble."
Proteus groaned, "That's like a full time job..."
