Moments later, an attractive cop on a motorcycle came through, stopping the vehicle with a roar and staring up at the blimp with an expression of a mix of plenty of emotions, some of which M.A. recognized to be disgust, anger, and consternation.

"Team Rocket," she said under her breath, shaking her head before turning to M.A. and her brother.

"Are you the two who called?" she asked, cooly business-like and to the point.

"Yes, Officer," Michael answered.

"Please tell me what happened here."

Michael then explained the scenario; how he'd had his Pokemon stolen, how he'd had Jin follow, how M.A. had held off the lady while Jin went off to find Michael's Pokemon, which actually were not with the stolen batch on the woman's back. She had stashed some and taken only about a fourth with her; a move she'd made when she was aware of a the-distant Jin following her. Meanwhile, M.A. was busy nursing her Pokemon in any way possible.

"She must be one of couple of the Pokemon thieves that have been springing up recently," the woman said, frowning as she scribbled down the details. "Thanks to you two, though, the trainers of these Pokemon will be very glad to see them back."

"Let's get these guys back to Slateport. Here, both of you, get on the bike. I'll ride you back." M.A. watched blankly as Michael returned her Pokemon back to their respective balls and set her on the bike. As the both of them were a bit too gangly to fit on her relatively large bike, Michael chose instead to rise on one of the stolen Pokemon back.

It was an interesting procession, two girls in the front on a bike and a parade of Pokemon following.

Meanwhile...

"You know, darling, Boss won't be too happy with that kind of carelessness," the young man from earlier said, swinging around in his chair to face the slightly older woman. His tone was still perfectly caring and hospitable, but there was an undeniable edge under it. Disappointment? Maybe. No, it was more of... disgust. No, disapproval for a job done poorly. The woman shirked from the sudden criticism; since she'd been working with him (a.k.a. two days ago), he'd never shown her anything less than kindness.

"It wasn't supposed to end out that way," she muttered angrily. She would sink into them if she looked too long. "If only that guy's Bug hadn't snuck around us." She turned away from him, knowing she'd sink into his ocean blue eyes if she caught his gaze. Damn good looks.

He knew it, too, for he leaned in closer to her and smiled a roguish smile. With a gentle hand, he brushed her ebony hair behind her ear. His breath on her cheek caught her off guard. "Don't worry, love. Just be a bit more cautious next time; in any case, we have quite a load as is. Now, now, smile; a smile compliments your face wonderously." When she turned to look at him incredulously, he quickly took her hand and kissed it.

She blushed crimson, and Jaxon grinned in response before turning back to the mechanics of the blimp. Some inbred part of him required that he treated any women - though particularly the pretty ones - with his definition of perfect care, although that usually tended in his being a tad too flirtatious. Whether or not he was conscious of his effect remained to be found out. In the back, a large bin of Pokeballs sat, all of which had been stolen more or less. Routine stocking-up, while they were here and all.

The sun was setting as Crenu entered the city scape on his bike, flying past pedestrians and using the hopping features to go from side walk to railings and back again whenever someone slow was in his way. Even though the sun was still out and wouldn't vanish for a little while, some of the building turned their lights on while others turned theirs off. Checking his watch Crenu found out why. "Six o'clock, forgot how late the sun stays out in the summer. Guess the night life of Goldenrod's gonna start soon." Night life or not, the city streets were still heavily populated by people out doing their daily activities and more or less enjoying their lives. Coming to a cross walk Crenu slowed to a stop and waited for the traffic to pass. Through the corner of his eye he saw a young couple holding each other so close that they almost looked like a single two headed creature. As they laughed the young man gently ran his fingers through his partner's hair and kissed her. Despite his best efforts, a small smile escaped his mouth as he watched, his attention snapped back to his own business only by the giant television screen that was attacked to the side of a near by building. The image of an attractive female news anchor with brown hair came into focus as her slightly high pitched voice echoed over the noisy street below.

"With the Beach Party only a couple of days away, people's excitement seems to be on the brink of exploding! This celebration is promised to be bigger and better than anything Poke fans have ever witnessed. And with the blowout set to be in none other than Slateport, one of the biggest harbor cities in the world, how can it be anything less? Be sure to check out the celebration and be a part of the many events that will take place in just-"

The Beach Party, that's right! I had forgotten all about it, has the end of the month come already? She said that this was going to be the biggest celebration ever, with publicity like that there is sure to be quite a turn out. That also means that there will be countless trainers for me to battle, this is an event that I simply must attend. "Plus I bet Ky and M.A.'ll love the idea of a big beach party." Crenu grinned for a moment as he got back on his seat and got ready to peddle across the clear street, but the cars had been stopped for a while already, he was to busy watching the screen and thinking to himself that he missed his opportunity to cross and would have to wait for the traffic to stop again. Crenu sighed deeply as this was brought to his attention by a truck that nearly took the tip of his nose off. "...I hate the city."

That was it, then. Jaeshan would take his Pokemon north of the city to get in some serious training. Ryka had entrusted that special little Beldum to him, and there was no way he was going to let either of them down. With a newfound resolve and eagerness, Jaeshan stood up and gathered his things, making sure each Pokeball was secure at his waist. As he made a move to exit the Pokemon Center, however, a poster tacked up to the bulletin board caught his attention. "Beach Party, July 1st..." he murmured, reading it over. According to the little blurb at the bottom it would be quite the gathering, filled with trainers, fun and games, and celebration. He pulled his PokeNav from his pocket and checked the date - it was only the 27th. "I could get to Slateport by then," he murmured, making a note of it on the device's internal calendar. There was probably a lot he could get done before the first in the meantime, as well. I am going to try and help Beldum evolve before the Beach Party, he thought, putting the PokeNav away and heading outside.

It was past noon now, so first of all Jaeshan found a Pokemon-friendly restaurant where he and his party enjoyed a filling, nutritious meal. Combusken and Shelgon seemed to have a lot to discuss, both being in their second stage of evolution, even though Shelgon didn't eat very much. Jaeshan knew that he wouldn't be able to change the dragon's mind, especially since she considered it to be part of her training. Butterfree and Nidoking were happily chattering together as well, both being the two 'elders' of the team at the moment. Beldum chose to remain alone, much to Jaeshan's dismay, and it almost seemed to be begging to go back inside its Pokeball. Jaeshan returned each Pokemon and paid the bill, happy to be done with that and on his way to start some training.

((Jae is still on the 27th so I'm going to work to catch him up))

Lairon reared up, standing on his hind legs before slamming onto the ground and charging forward in a very scary Take Down. His eyes were locked on Scizor, ready to veer off course if she dodged. He wasn't going to let her avoid him again. But whether he was going to let her or not, that didn't mean she couldn't try. Although, she wasn't going to. Instead, she braced herself and took the Take Down head on. It was futile. It was like a man trying to stop a locomotive. She crashed against the Lairon's front and, the behemoth kept going until he could smash the Shiny Pokemon into a near tree. When he heard her collide, he jumped back (as best a Lairon could jump) and roared loudly. He was triumphant.

"Don't get too cocky, Lairon!" Kilik barked, "But keep up your pace! The two of you are doing great. Scizor, use Focus Energy!" She glared over at her trainer. What was the deal with him making her do such boring moves? Nonetheless, she closed her eyes and felt her body calm down. Orange light surrounded her body for a moment then disappeared. Kilik nodded. That was it. As the two continued their battle, the boy pulled out his new PokeDex and examined his Lairon. The height, weight, and move information appeared on the screen. "Hm..." he glanced at the moves he was going to learn. Double-Edge? He let out a low whistle as he turned his head to Bahamut, Who was enjoying a nice lay in the morning sun, watching the two fight. Soon, it would be her turn. How exciting.

Without hesitation, Lairon barreled forward once more with another Take Down, aiming straight for Scizor's chest. His eyes burned with a passion unseen before. He could feel his heart pounding beneath his rocky exterior. Hitting her wouldn't be so easy this time. Now that she was focused, she managed to not only dodge the Take Down but hit Lairon with a critical Quick Attack. Not that it would do too much extra. Kilik put his PokeDex away and crossed his arms. With the massive Defense of his Lairon, he was going to be here a good while.

They arrived at the Slateport PokeCenter rather shortly. Michael helped Mary-Anne down from the bike, though she didn't exactly need the aid, then turned to the policewoman.

"Anything else I can do for you two? If it weren't for you, these Pokemon would be gone," the woman said, gazing at them evenly. M.A. was getting the feeling that little could upset this woman's composure.

"No, no, it's fine. My Pokemon were stuck in the mess too, so it was only natural. Thanks for the ride, Officer Jenny," the elder brother said with a small smile. She nodded then led the rest of the Pokemon to the police department to be reclaimed by their respective owners.

After she left, M.A. busted into the PokeCenter, handing Tora's and Ulani's Pokeballs to the pink-haired woman behind the counter. "Please, can you check on them?" she pleaded. The woman smiled gently. "Of course! Rest a while and maybe have some food; I'll come to you with an update, if you'd like, after I see them."

Mary-Anne smiled gratefully, then turned around to see Michael right behind her. He analyzed her face. "Don't worry, I'm sure they're fine. Maybe a bit bruised up." She nodded, letting that hope fill her chest cautiously. He then turned to Nurse Joy and gave her Jin as well, just for a refresh -- he'd been tired after chasing and tackling over that motorcycle.

Since they hadn't had breakfast yet, they helped themselves at the cafeteria. Daemyn looked curiously around when Tora and Ulani hadn't joined him, but upon M.A.'s explanation grew sulky when he hadn't learned of the battle. Michael had released his two of his remaining three Pokemon too -- Spade, the Linoone, and Ambrosia, the Meganium. "Where's Kito and Grace?" M.A. asked, after patting the two present fondly. "Kito's at home, taking care of things, and Grace is too big to let loose in here," Michael answered between mouthfuls. He ate like a starving Snorlax, M.A. thought to herself, giggling. Michael gave her a confused look, not understanding her outburst. With his mouth full, he chuckled, shaking his head at his little sister's strangeness.

He always had this drug-like affect on her that made her calm, somehow. Otherwise, she'd be pestering the Nurse on how her Pokemon were doing.

That in the end would have turned out unnecessary, for the woman herself came to the cafeteria with a breezy, content expression on her face. She tapped M.A. lightly on the shoulder to get her attention.

"They're perfectly fine now, miss. Just refreshing up a little; they'll soon feel like nothing happened at all."

It was a good thing the pokemon center was so close by. Both Robin and Ampersand were exhausted from the long day. The door slid open to reveal a mostly empty pokemon center, a few hikers were sleeping to the side and Nurse Joy seemed to be cleaning up for the evening. Heading up to the counter Luffy on her shoulder wide awake and looking like he might start causing problems. Holding back a yawn as she stopped in front of the helpful nurse Robin unclipped Razs' pokeball and set it down on the counter before plucking Luffy off of her shoulder. "I know its late Nurse Joy but could you please heal my pokemon?"

The tired nurse just smiled at her sleepily. "Of course I can, it shouldn't take to long at all." Scooping Luffy up and picking up Razs' pokeball and taking them into the back room for a moment. It wasn't long before she returned with her pokemon all healed up. "Have a good night."

"Thanks, you to." Robin sleepily responded before heading off to the far far corner of the pokemon center where Ampersand had seemed to settle down. Settling down on a couch Robin set her stuff down before going off and changing into her pj's. She hardly remembered brushing her teeth and climbing into bed. She barely registered pulling a blanket out and settling down on the couch Razputins pokeball beside her and Luffy curled up on top of her.

Keegan also picked out a selection of foods he liked at the grocery store, as well as a variety of Pokemon food. To be honest, he wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for Kasiya. While she was loading up her things onto the conveyer belt to pay, he managed to sneak ahead and pay for the whole lot of things, ignoring any protesting that came from his companion. After that, he suggested they go back to the spot they were previously at, as it was a good place to sit and watch the sunset and enjoy thier makeshift dinner.

Once they arrived, he spread out a blanket for them to sit on, overlooking the ridge and giving them a great view of Hoenn. Keegan sat down on the blanket, kicked off his wooden sandles and lied back, lazily releasing each of his Pokemon. Artemis took off like a shot, happy to be able to stretch her wings, while Tierra, obviously, decided to bask in the remainder of the sunlight, and was asleep in moments. The other three were happy to dive into their dinner, as both Loki and Althena had been famished after the battle. Moeder stood tall and proud nearby, keeping a close eye on everyone, just like a mother would.

Kasiya was quite happy to finally just have a rest, as she took her time eating and enjoyed all of her favourite things slowly. Her Pokemon were happy to all be outside of their Pokeballs again too, and she was rather surprised to see Seto and Casimir 'hanging' out together. At the moment, they were the two 'senior' members of her team, but regardless it made her happy to see the Absol opening up to another Pokemon. That being said, Seto wasn't all that tough to get along with, so long as you were a fellow Pokemon, that is. Flash and Adamantine stayed right next to their trainer, both seemingly vying for her attention. Even though Kasiya didn't really consider her to be a baby anymore, the young Larvitar was still fond of being babied like one. Flash finally gave in before going over to investigate Themis, as he was often drawn to other Electric-type Pokemon. Digger had positioned himself on top of the rock and was picking at his food. Even though the Sandslash would never admit it, he did like just being out of his Pokeball and hanging out with the others. Leviathan, on the other hand, had spotted Moeder, her old teammate, and was proudly showing off how much she'd grown up.

"This is really nice," Kasiya said quietly, leaning back and closing her eyes. One arm was cushioning her head while the other was patting Ada on the head. She couldn't help but wonder if the little Larvitar ever planned on evolving or if she was more content to stay in this form because it was easier to play up her want to be babied. Either way, she sure has come a long way... the trainer thought, yawning a bit.
PostPosted: Tue May 27, 2008 9:59 am

Moeder had practically squealed with joy upon seeing Levi in her new form, and had promptly scooped up the Marshtomp and stuffed her into her pouch. She had done it when Levi was a baby Mudkip as well, although she had the idea that once Levi evolved to her final form she would no longer fit. Keegan just laughed at the sight of the two Pokemon, glad that they could at least keep in touch. I wonder how Dante is doing, and the rest of his Pokemon, too... he thought, sitting up and having a long drink of water. It had been fun traveling with Dante, and Keegan missed the trouble they would get themselves into. "Good times..." he mumbled, lying back and closing his eyes.

Themis was also happy to meet an fellow electric Pokemon, and it seemed as though the two of them were getting along already. By now his Pokemon had all eaten, including Tierra, who was looking like she was thinking about interacting with the others. Keegan watched her through one open eye, wondering if she'd ever try to make friends with her own teammates, let alone other Pokemon altogether. The redhead sat up, hugging his knees to his chest. He felt much better now that he'd eaten something, but for some reason he felt uneasy, like something was going to happen. This is strange, he thought, trying to shake the feeling of dread, but found himself unable to. He looked towarrds Kasiya to see if perhaps she felt something too.

The doors to the Goldenrod City gym swung open with an eerie creak, revealing an elaborately decorated maze of flowers. Miharu had to stand on tiptoe in order to see over the boxes of flowers, and she could see a few trainers milling about. She knew that battling them would be good experience, even if she had to go back to the Pokemon Center before taking on Whitney, whom she didn't see anywhere as of yet. Taking a deep breath, the small girl headed inside, deciding to take the first path she saw - directly in front of her. It was fairly easy to follow, with few turns or twists to take. She did come upon a clearing very soon, and wasn't surprised to see a taller girl with long, strawberry blonde hair sitting on an overturned crate, checking over her fingernails. She spotted Miharu and stood up, placing the nail file in her back pocket. "Welcome to the Goldenrod Gym," she said, her voice upbeat and cheerful. My name is Jessica and I shall be your first opponent." She gave a slight bow and held up a hand, revealing two Pokeballs. "You'll have to defeat me if you want to get to Whitney!"

"That's fine with me," the green-haired girl replied with a smirk. "And thanks for the welcome." Jessica only smiled and threw her Pokeball, revealing a small, pink and puffy Pokemon - a Clefairy. Miharu knew that Clefairy were fairly rare, and also that they had the ability to infatuate opponents of the opposite gender with the slighest touch. I know Clefairy are more likely to be female, but that leaves me pretty screwed if it turns out to be a male, she thought. She reached for Starrie's Pokeball and held it up. "Let's go, Star-" But at that moment, the second-to last Pokeball on her belt shook and suddenly the small Mareep was standing where Starrie should be, bleating happily. "Sparkle!" Miharu said, her voice almost at a scolding tone. She looked at the Mareep, and then to Jessica, who seemed confused. "You're not Starrie. But go ahead and try you want to. You need the training anyway," she shook her head, and studied the Clefairy, hoping it wasn't too experienced. "Go ahead and give it your Thundershock!"

((I dont know how many days behind Miharu is... I think it's still the 27th for her too, actually. But it doesn't matter since she's not going to the Beach Party anyways. Either way she needs to catch up.))

Robin woke up surprisingly early, though this wasn't from her own will. Apparently Luffy had woken up earlier then her and decided to go bug the other people in the Pokemon Center. The people had apparently also been asleep and had not enjoyed a hyper Aipom jumping on top of them. So Robin had been awoken by a bunch of angry people holding Luffy up by the scruff of his neck. Groaning she grabbed her stuff and Luffy from the angry people before heading off to the bathroom.

Shedding her PJ's and tossing them into the sink she took Hat from Luffy and let Razputin out as well. They all needed to get clean, hygiene was important after all for her and her pokemon. Picking Luffy up she reached in and turned the water up to scorching hot and stepped in. The hot water waking her up and relaxing her aching muscles. The two days she had been out on her adventure she had walked, run and just been more active then she was used to and her body was feeling it. Just standing there and enjoying the heat and getting the dirt scrubbed off of her Robin let Luffy goof off in the water below her splashing around. Deciding not to join the pounding water Raz just used the water drops gathering on his body to clean himself off. Washing her hair Robin quickly finished up getting dressed and tieing up her hair so it wouldn't get her clothes wet she gathered her stuff up and left. Behind her Luffy was mostly dry and running around her feet probably trying to trip her or something while Razputin buzzed above her.

Making it to the small cafeteria Robin claimed a small table and left her pokemon there, giving strict instructions to Raz to stop Luffy from getting up, before heading off to get in line. It took her a bit to think of something for Raz to eat. Eventually she grabbed a bunch of fruit for him along with huge tray fulls for Luffy and a modest sized breakfast for herself. Setting the stuff down in front of her pokemon she sat down herself and started breakfast.

They were all finishing up when Ampersand walked into the cafeteria looking much more awake then the last time she had seen him. Unfortunately for all the other pokemon in the room his appearance signaled them falling face first into their food. Good thing Raz had finished rather quickly and just fell asleep into an empty bowl. Pulling a seat up at Robins table Ampersand leaned back and grabbed an apple off of the Hikers plate behind him. "Good morning. I hope you are all rested up and are ready for another day of travel." He grinned at them as he took a bite of his stolen apple.

((posting with both at once! why didn't i think of that xD))
It was obvious from the happy noises Levi was making that she was quite fine riding around in Moeder's Pouch. Kasiya couldn't help but laugh at their antics as well, glad that Keegan's Pokemon seemed to get along with her own. A pang struck her heart as she realized how much she missed Ariel, Shocker and the others, knowing it was the first time she'd kept Ariel out of her party. I'll bring Shocker and Ariel to the Beach Party, she thought, knowing the two would both enjoy it. It hurt much more than she realized, being separated from the Vaporeon. She couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Ariel hadn't touched the Water Stone that one day, seemingly long ago. The two of them had a very close bond, so perhaps she could have become an Espeon, or even an Umbreon. She glanced towards Flash, busy playing with Themis, and smiled. I'm glad she evolved into Vaporeon. It was perfect for her, she thought, adjusting her green bandanna carefully.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Keegan watching her, and she turned to look at him. "What's up?" she asked, noting the concerned expression he wore on his face. "Is something wrong?" At those words, Seto's black ears perked up, and he looked at his trainer, and then to his trainer's companion. His long tail flicked slowly, as it seemed the Persian could also sense that something was up as well. A low growl escaped his throat as he stood up and looked around, ears and tail flickering in annoyance.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
It didn't take long for Jaeshan to find his way north and exit the city, and it dawned on him just then that he had never been up this way before. There were two paths he could take, one of which seemed to lead to a watery route, and another, which a signpost pointed out (Rusturf Tunnel --> ). Curious as to what this tunnel was, Jaeshan decided to head that way, hoping that at the very least encounter a wild Pokemon or something in order to give Beldum some experience. That is, if Beldum doesn't decide to flee instead, he thought, still feeling bad for the young Steel-type.

He'd only been wandering around for maybe ten minutes when Jaeshan spotted a blue and red Taillow pecking at the ground nearby. Deciding it was a good opportunity, Jaeshan released Beldum, who immediately ducked behind its trainer's legs, peering out with its crimson eye in order to try and spy any danger. "It's a Taillow," Jaeshan said with a sigh, smacking his forehead with his palm. "You should be able to defeat it, since it won't be able to do much to you. The only way to get stronger is to practice, right?" Beldum seemed to think it over for a moment before it came out of hiding, and fixed its one eye on its new target. "Good," Jaeshan said, nodding. "Now use your Take Down!"

The Taillow hadn't been expecting to be attacked just then, so when it was suddenly barreled over by a glimmering and very heavy Pokemon, it let out an annoyed screech, flapping its wings and shooting glares at them both. "Again!" Jaeshan called, secretly crossing his fingers behind his back. Beldum needed a win now, even if it was against a wild Pokemon and not another trainer. We can do this!

((I dunno because it's in the rules. Freakin' copycat. lol That being said, wanna control Baldy? 'Cause Salt and Pepper is mine. domokun ))
"I don't know," Keegan shrugged, watching as Seto went into alert-mode. "I just have this feeling of... dread or something. Like something is going to happen, and it's not a good thing, either." He stood up and slipped on his wooden sandals, nodding at Themis to accompany him as he then proceeded to do a sweep of the area, intent on seeing if anything or anyone was around them. He didn't see anything right away, but movement from the entrance to the Jagged Pass caught his eye. Themis got on guard as two large men emerged from within it, and even though Keegan wasn't one to jump to random conclusions, he couldn't help but feel that these two men were shady in character, and their choice of dark clothing really didn't help their case any, either. He quickly ran back towards Kasiya, and started packing things up in a hurried manner. "We should go," he said in a hushed whisper, throwing glances over his shoulder to make sure the men hadn't seen them yet.

Themis let out a low growl and retreated towards his trainer, and Keegan felt his heart sink a little as the two men were now heading towards them, talking quietly between each other and grinning at the two young trainers as they approached. "What's the hurry, kids?" the first man asked, tall and slim with salt and pepper brown hair at the temples, a thick, English accent weighing heavy on his voice.

"No hurry, we're just finished here," Keegan retorted, standing up and glaring at the two to let them know that he wasn't afraid.

"Sure looks like you're packing up in a hurry," the second man, who was short and squat with a large bald patch atop his head, stopped and rested his hands on his sides, a little out of breath. His voice was gruff and husky, contrary to his slender partner's.

"We heard you bested Flannery today, Red," Salt and Pepper said, scratching his chin, "and we wanted to test your mettle. You and the little bit over there." He nodded towards Kasiya, and smirked. "After all, you're halfway to a full set of Hoenn Badges, so you must be some sort of tough."

Keegan glanced over at Kasiya and shrugged. "I'm game if she is," he said, studying the two once more. "Battle conditions?"

"Double Battle, and you lot can use as many Pokemon as you need to get through us. All twelve if ye need to," Salt and Pepper added with a chuckle. He held up his first Pokeball and let it fly, revealing a small-ish, fox-like Pokemon, with a furry, fluffy mane and tail. Its fur was bright orange, and it let out a sharp bark to let everyone know it was ready - a Flareon.

"Fine with me," Keegan returned, looking around their group of Pokemon. "Moeder! You're up!" The Kangashkhan stomped forward and glared down at the fox Pokemon, ready to pummel it into oblivion. Both she and Keegan turned to Kasiya, wondering who she would send out in reply.

Sparkle bleated happily before letting loose a blast of electricity, and to Miharu's surprise, scored a direct hit. The pink Fairy Pokemon winced from the shock, bits of remaining static traveling over its body as the attack faded. The small girl smiled approvingly, thinking that maybe having Sparkle out there on the battlefield wouldn't be such a tragedy after all.

"If I wasn't so devoted to normal type Pokemon, I'd capture myself a Mareep someday," Jessica said, obviously fond of the small, electric sheep. She wasn't fond of the shock it had just delivered to her Clefairy, however, and quickly orderd for it to counter with a Doubleslap attack. The pink fairy dashed forward, and didn't hesitate to smack Sparkle across the cheeks three consecutive times before hopping back, its cute face twisted into an angry glare. Sparkle seemed hurt by her opponent's actions, and retreated a bit, her tail glowing faintly and hanging sadly behind her.

"It's all right Sparkle, it's all part of a battle," Miharu said reassuringly. "We fight our hardest during a battle, but we always try to get along and be friends when the battle is over." Her words seemed to lift Sparkle's spirits a little, as she let out a little bleat and prepared to attack again. "Good girl! Now try your Tackle!"

"That's pretty wise," Jessica said, contemplating the idea as her Clefairy danced out of the way of the charging Mareep. "I never thought of it like that before, but now that you mention it, all of us here in the gym are friends, even when we're battling. Okay Clefairy! Pound it!"

((Kay. But I'm not gonna do the double post thing for the double battle though... too confusing, especially if both characters are battling. O-o;; ))
Seto had jumped up and started to follow after Keegan and Themis, keeping his distance, but his senses sharp. Meanwhile, Kasiya made sure the rest of her Pokemon were close by, just in case. She was a bit surprised to see Keegan coming back towards her, and even more perplexed as he began to pack up the remainder of their picnic. "We should go? But why?" she asked, ready to protest. That is, until she saw the two shady men heading their way. She stood and walked over to Keegan, wondering just what they wanted. It seemed they wanted to battle with them, which was fine in Kasiya's eyes. "I'm up for it," she said simply, looking at each of her Pokemon, who had in turn, decided to crowd around her in case things got rough.

Kasiya couldn't help but smile at the sight of the Flareon, as it reminded her of Kilik's. A part of her was hoping she'd see him again at the Beach Party, but now wasn't the time to think of the party. Keegan called on Moeder to fight, and Kasiya's eyes lit up with an idea. She looked to Levi, and smiled. "Okay Leviathan, you're up." Nodding, the Marshtomp stepped forward, looking up at Moeder and then to the Flareon.

For a moment, Kasiya was sure it would be two versus one, but after a second or so of hesitation, Baldy sent out his own Pokemon - a sturdy, blue turtle with winged ears and a long fluffy tail, a Wartortle. "You kids better not hold back," he warned, waggling a pudgy finger at the two younger trainers.

"I never go easy," Kasiya shot back, glaring at Keegan as if to warn him not to say a word. "Levi, start things off with your Water Gun! Attack that Flareon!" she shouted. Levi reared back and let the stream of water fly.

"That's child's play," Baldy scolded, clicking his tongue. "Wartortle, step in there and block it! Show that little squirt what a REAL Water Attack can do!" The Turtle Pokemon stepped forward, grinning smugly at Levi as the water bounced harmlessly off of its hard shell. Taking a deep breath, it then opened its mouth and fired a pulsating ring of water at Moeder, a Water Pulse.

"Rex? Are you sure you don't wanna go back in your Pokeball? You're kinda heavy..." Ky groaned as he walked along Route 34. Rex at the moment though was fast asleep in Ky's arms, and didn't seem to be waking up any time soon. It was times liked these that made Ky wish he had a bike with him, but having been through worse, Ky simply watched with a relaxed sigh as the sun began to set with Goldenrod City in view.

It felt strange being on the road by himself. Up until now, he had always had a partner walking with him: Crenu from Violet City to Azalea Town, and M.A. from Azalea through Ilex Forest. But, Ky guessed it couldn't be helped. Crenu decided to be on his own and M.A. had some important family business to attend to (as was explained by the old couple). He wondered when he'd get to see her again, which made him think of the Beach Party.

"You guys are so awesome," Ky couldn't help saying under his breath as he held Rex gingerly. "This party should be perfect."

"Tot... dile," Rex added with a snore.
