lol yeah but im a tech geek if it has tech in it i watch it, read it, play it, build it, etc (puns allowed and accepted! im such a good sport!) district 9 looks to have some tech in it remincent of Exo Squad (E-Frame), and Mechwarrior (Elemental). so even if the movie sucks it will hopefully have crazy tech in it!

the first commercials looked liek that but the others where people wan them gone aliens ant to go home government say no and the concentration camps point other wise

Seriously, though, I hope it isn't a wash like so much of the rest of this year's movies have been.

When I was in film school a few years ago a buddy of mine from South Africa showed me a short film made by a guy also from SA. I think this is what eventually became District 9. It was interesting in the the aliens had taken the blacks role in apartheid and they were now the ones being forced into segregation because they were stuck on Earth. Don't know if this is the same thing but it looks like it.
Also, I saw GI JOe last night. Big fan of the series growing up, I had all the toys watched all the cartoons that kind of thing. It was aimed towards a younger crowd but it was ok. Not the best Blockbuster I've seen this summer but it was entertaining.

UHF. How could I have missed out on such a classic for so long?
And yeah, Big O. Because we need more giant robo series that have the style of the Batman animated series paired with noir and giant robot fisticuffs.
