August shrugged. "Perhaps not, but that was my second time over jumps and I didn't fall...perhaps you're just being chicken." He said, deciding to be equally as nasty.
Shana gave Rose a glare then picked up her hoof by force. "You are not going to do that to me, ma'm." She said forcefully.

Rose snorted, she wasn't used to haveing someone go against her. "I'm not chicken." She grumbled and turned her attention to Shana not happy about being forced to hold her hoof up. She reached to n** Shana.
Emma saw what Rose was trying to do and quickly grabbed the mare's muzzle, locking her hands around it. "No you don't. That's quite enough Rose now knock it off before you get yourself into more trouble.
Rose tried to pull her muzzle away from Emma, but recieved a flick on the ears and snorted.

August chuckled quietly to himself. "Prove it." he said, with a teasing smile, he knew he was getting to her.
Shana quickly picked out the hoof she has working on and and moved to the right hind hoof, asking Rose to pick it up. She remembered when August had been a fiesty young colt and acted much like Rose was now. Shana taught him discipline and she gained respect from him. he rarely ever acted out anymore.

Rose snorted and pulled her muzzle away, picking up the hoof Shana asked for. "Fine I will." She took on an impish look, flicking her tail.
"You sure know how to work with her. Does August ever act like she does?" Emma asked curiously, the mare gave her more greif sometimes than she could stand.

Shana smiled as she finished the second hoof and moved to the side Emma and Amy were on, asking Rose to pick up her left front hoof now. "He used to be as a young colt. But he quickly figured out I woulsn't take that from him. I kept his discipline throughout his growing and he grew to respect and love me. He doesn't act out anymore. Not only did I train him, but also his breed is bred for not only the conformtation and strength of the horse, but also the mind and the personality of the horse as well. That also helped greatly with his training, he's very smart and open-minded to new maneuvers, making him quite easy to train." She said, smiling.
August chuckled. "You'll jump?" He asked her testingly, pawing at the pavement of his crossties.

"Moon was something like that, when she was young. But with dicipline she understood that it wasn't aloud and doesn't do it anymore." Amy said as she picked up a body brush and worked on Rose's body.

Shana finished picking out Rose's hooves and put down the hoof pick. She patted Rose. "Good girl." She said. She looked over at Emma. "I could help you with her, if you want.." She offered.
She walked over to August and pulled a carrot out of her pocket and gave it to him, stroking him as he ate it. She unclipped the crossties and led him into the stall next to Rose's, then returned to Emma and Amy.
August lowered his head and took a mouthful of hay, then stuck his head out of the stall door and munched on it as he watched the three people work on Rose, which was greatly entertaining to him.

"I'd like that. I could use some help." Emma patted Rose, working on untangeling her forelock.
Rose snorted, "I'll jump them as soon as I can get away from them." She pushed Emma with her muzzle so she could look at August better.

Rose shook her head annoyed with the stallion. She turned from him and stomped, pushing Emma away plenty rough. She snorted and stepped forward to paw at the door.
Emma stepped away and looked between the two horses. "This is exactly the behavior that got you rehomed in the first place Rose." She pushed a spot on the mare's chest and Rose stepped backward tossing her head.

Shana too pushed on Rose. "Cut it out, mare!" She yelled at her, giving Rose an evil glare.
August's ears flickered back and forth and he laughed. "Oh, Rose, she just gave you the evil eye, you're going to get it if you don't stop NOW." He sighed and rested his head on the stall door and watched with great amusement as the two girls worked with Rose.He warned.

Rose snorted and backed away. She ignored August except for sending him a glare. Turning her attenion back to the girls she pushed her muzzle towards Shana and snapped at Emma. She knew she could get away with more when she was dealing with Emma. She aimed a kick at the back wall connecting with a loud snap. She picked both her front feet off the ground a few inches in a little rear and continued to snap at the girls.
"Rose!" Emma stepped back from the mare, giving her exactly what she wanted and Rose took her oppertunity to push her back further.

Shana gritted her teeth and pushed back against the mare, grabbing her halter and pulling her out of her little rear, She yanked her head down and held her eye-level with her own face, giving Rose the death-stare. "Mare...STOP..." She hissed though her teeth.
August pinned his ears back, afraid, he remember when Shana had to get so tough with him. He learned his lesson quickly... "Rose I'm serious, stop." He warned.
