*Sophus emergerd from his slumber completely unaware of how long he had been unconscious.
It was the scent he was picking up that awoke him from his motionless state.
He remembered that smell, it was from his youth, it was like dry ice but had a sinister depth to it.
He flickered his eyelids adjusting to the candles which lit his current location.
The rush of light sent shards of pain to his forehead.
Wincing a little, the scenery emerged from the behind the current blur. He was sat in a chair several feet away from a marble wall.*

...No..i..how did i get here ?

*The boys voiced bounced off of the walls in echo.
Emeging from behind him that same rustling sound of armoured boots arose.
As they stood behind Sophus a hand stretched out and rested on his shoulder.*

I DID, MY SONS.

*Sophus whirled his head around to his fathers voice behind him. As he did so
the corner of his eye locked onto the black butterfly.
Tensing his thigh muscles he raised himself from his seat and grasped the bug in his hand.
His fathers hand fell to his side loosely hanging into his cloak followed by a sigh.*

Son...im sorry for having caused a stir. I did not expect a reaction from the judges at all, let alone this swiftly.
I imagine the demon knight will be tracking our position so we cannot stay for long.
Regain your strength then make haste.

*Hades had always informed his children of what to do or when to do it but never gave a in depth description of why. All the years of ruling without emotion seemed to crumble away his caring side.*

I will only leave as long as you stick to your duties and sort this mess out. I dont have ANY part to play in the MESS.

*In a fit of rage he threw his hand into the air releasing the butterfly.*

Why have you troubled me so....

*Hades didnt reply, his eyes had locked themself into a trance like state. He was concentrating, focusing, trying to depict Laiex's current location.
His drooped hand had started to raise, submerged in an aura of darkness.*

I shall send some guards above land to cover up your escape.

*Sophus was furious, not only was he stuck in a life or death situation but all sense of logic had flown out of the window. He was being ignored, he was lost in a whole underworld of politics which he couldnt grasp the meaning for.*

Im..going.

*Sophus held a open hand out to the butterfly*

..I was at least safe with her. Youve never been there for me.

YOU WOULD HAVE DIED IF I HAD NOT COME FOR YOU.

*With his fathers last words ringing in his ears Sophus sealed up some of his energy and shrouded himself in a cloud of darkness. It arithed against his body slowly dissolving it from his underworld location.*

*A peak of sudden energy exploded into existence a few miles away from Laiex's position.*

.: Ah finally i see the fox has come out of his hole .:

*He whipped around and charged for the power surge releasing a burst of cosmo to propell him faster.

Within a matter of moments Laiex had arrived in the location yet nothing was in sight.
His chainmail hand gripped his belt, his eyes focused on his surroundings.
Lowering his stance by a few inches Laiex whipped out a set of daggers from his belt and launched them into the air.
The curved blades sunk into something within the air, blood started to seep from the dagger.
A hideous Ogre like beast ripped with bulging muslces and spikes came out of his invisible disguise, wounded.
It roared dripping its thick saliva from gaping jaws.
Now other beasts emerged from what seemed a lifeless plain and surrounded Laiex.

Nice to know my senses never fail me.

An imp like monster slowly crept towards Laiex's heels attempting to slice his calf muscles, a wyvern rotated its mid air position ready for a headshot and the Ogre raised its tree trunk sized arms and prepared a swinging blow for Laiex's torso.
Unintimidated Laiex jumped gracefully into the air avoiding the imp who now seemed to be stunned that his silent advance had been picked up.
The Ogres bloody wound now seemed to blacken and spread through the beasts veins and arteries clogging them up with some black poison making his offensive effort completely null.
It collapsed forwards and landed straight onto the ground making the daggers hilt push the blade deeper into the beasts body.
The ogre vanished as it perished.
Now in mid air Laiex made a cross guard by bracing his two arms together, covering his head.
The Wyverns impact knocked him back but unwounded.
As Laiex fell back from the air he withdrew Killgorin, his sacred blade screamed as it was unsheathed and brought down upon the crawling imps skull, crushing it into two.
His boots scuffed the dusty earth to give him grip as he landed.
The Wyvern swooped for him once more this time equiped with a firey breathe but Laiex was ready.
He picked up the now bodyless daggers, made a forwards roll with Killgorin which resulted in the descending wyverns stomach being slit open, spewing its intestines onto the floor.
It crash landed crying in pain, its talons clawed away in panic and an odd spew of fire erupted from its breathe as it lay disabled on the ground.

Having time to take a breathe now Laiex had realised something was not right. Why the sudden monsters ?
A moments thought passed until the idea of falling into a trap sparked him.

s**t...Wheres that b*****d hiding !

*The gateway erupted from the earth just within the gates of Hades castle, the black edifice rearing above Bailey as he emerged*

Last stop, Hell. Everybody off. Remember kid... hurt my brother and no promise will save you.

*As Bailey left, a single black butterfly weaved sporadically across the courtyard, then in through a first floor window, a breeze whipping up around Corbin as Hades harpies looked down at him from their perches on the gables. Swooping one after teh other, they landed in the courtyard, each cockingits head and trying to work out what the strange new thing in their realm was*

Its a zebra!
A centaur!
A waste of time more like!
Its a demon.
Hades standards have dropped then...

*The harpies chortled as Corbin passed by, none of them stopping him, but heckling all teh way until he entered the silent entrance hall.
On the walls, grotesque tapestries hung in various states of repair, the floor burninshed marble. Small insects buzzed through the air in all directions, but every now and then black butterlfies flittered across teh intersecting halls, all of them seeming to head deeper into the sanctum.
As Corbin woudl proceed through the halls, more and more minor demons and wandering souls would show themselves, poking their heads round corners, whisperinga nd chittering before melting away again, all of this accompanied by the moans and screams of tortured souls and captive beings inside the castle*
