Destiny nickered to Colonel and swam towards him, once she reached him she playfully nibbled at his arms.
"Yeah sure looks like it." Colonel's stomach growled as he fended Destiny off. "I'm hungry what do you say we eat and dry off."

Wildfire swam over to Gwen
"Sounds good to me."Gwen said grinning as she slipped onto Wildfire's back. She held on as Wildfire climbed out of the water prancing around. "Stop you silly or I'm going to slip off."she giggled.

Eclipse closed her eyes but her ears betrayed how nervous she was. Her ears flitted around constantly, and her whole body jumped at some sudden noises. She couldn't quite get to sleep because the Fort wasn't inactive yet. She silently waited for Kalypso to respond; she understood that it took a while to gather your thoughts and express things properly.

Colonel tried to get on Destiny but the mare swam side ways so that he fell back into the water with a splash. He came up and grabbed the mare's mane. Destiny tolerated this and swam along side Colonel. Radar wasn't hard to find as he had rolled in the mud, successfully coating himself and then returned to the tree.

Kalypso sighed. "The worst part about it is that I really mean it. We don't escape, I hope I die." He watched the gelding and the man leave, feeling relieved. When Eclipse lied down next to him, he was surprised, but also pleased she had done so. He swivled a bit and laid his head over her back. He deeply cared for Eclipse even only knowing her for a few days. The way he felt for her reminded him of the way Path felt for Konoha. He sighed again and closed his eyes, enjoying her warmth. Suddenly a random thought struck him and he lifted his head. "You know, I don't get how these other horses can even slightly like humans. So far, they have given us no reason to like them. They've captured us from our homelands, injured Path and Konoha, then deliberatley slapped his injury. Only the girl has shown some kindness, but I don't trust her either. Apparetly they expect our spirits to break under them, then they try and build us back up with kindness. If they're suddenly kind, they expect us to love them...I don't get that at all...." he said with a troubled look on his face. He laid his head back on Eclipse's back and snorted. He looked up and noticed her ears were flitting in every direction. He nuzzled her shoudler and watched the men still wandering around the ranch, wishing they would just disappear, occassionally glancing up at the slowly sinking sun.

Gwen laughed watching Destiny swim sideways. She slipped off Wildfire's back landing lightly on her feet. She saw how dirty Radar was. "Somebody needs a bath thats for sure."she said with a grin. She led Wildfire over to the tree tying her where she could graze.

"Sure looks like it." Radar shook, sending mud flying. Colonel stepped out of the river with Destiny beside him. He tied the mare next to Wildfire and grabbed the lunch and his hat. Coming up behind Gwen he placed the hat on her head. "Let's go eat."

"Let's. I'm starving."Gwen said with a grin. She noticed Wildfire nipping at her stomach a bit. "Hmm I wonder....."she mused thinking.

"Hmm you wander what?" Colonel led Gwen over to an outcropping of rock about twenty feet from the horses. He sat the food on the rocks and climbed up offering Gwen his hand to help her up.
Destiny raised her head to look at Wildfire. "Something bugging you?"

"I think Wildfire might be pregnant."Gwen said taking Colonel's hand and climbing up to sit beside him.
"No. I think the foal just kicked, it felt weird."Wildfire snorted.

"Realy, well we'll just have to keep a close eye on her. What stallion has she been near?" Colonel opened the food and pulled out bread, dried venison strips, sliced turkey and ham, cheese, a tomato, more apples and a pair of oranges. "Looks like the cook went all out for us."
"Alright." Destiny laughed, "I beleive you'll have to get used to that." She nuzzled Wildfire's withers and dropped her head to graze more.

Eclipse sighed, she knew how he felt, but it was still hard for her to hear him say this. She relaxed a bit when he laid his head on her back; her ears slowed in their movements. With a low groan she laid down all the way, on her side with her back facing Kalypso. She streched her legs out, feeling somewhat exposed. "I don't understand it either. I still think that there are more bad humans than good. I don't totally believe that they listen as much as they give orders." She snorted in disbelief after she said that. She thought for a moment, "You should probably get some sleep; I remember that you didn't sleep much last night." She wasn't really tired, it was just somewhat nice to give her legs a rest for a bit.

Kalypso lifted his head long enough for lay all the way down, then laid it back down on her side. He sighed again. "I know....but even so, I still hate all humans." He nuzzled her side with his cheek. "No, you get some sleep. I'm not even going to try and fall asleep until I know you are. And don't worry about me, I'm perfectly used to doind all-nighters."

"Chaos, the Appaloosa stallion. The fence was being repaired in Wildfire's corral about three months ago so she got put with his little herd."Gwen replied watching Colonel pull out the food.
"Yeah."Wildfire giggled then began grazing again.

She nodded, "Alright. I suppose you might be; still, try to get some sleep tonight." She yawned and let out a low sort of groan/moan. She said softly before closing her eyes, "I don't blame you for not liking humans after what you've been through." She closed her eyes and sighed again, lying her head down all the way on the grass and truely relaxing. She was slowly falling asleep.
