Fight songs are of the devil. One in particular is Rocky Top. We have to play a song that represents all the uneducated redneck losers that actually enjoy the pointlessness of the sport that is football, and that is it. What really sucks is that our band director absolutely has to re-write it to the point of utter lameness, resulting in my deep hatred of the song.
Joy to the World must die as well. At least our parade version. How many trills can be in a single parade tune? According to "Joy to the World," an infinite amount. The entire clarinet part is just trills and it sounds awful.

cantique de noel. augh! its the most boring song in the world. i play a tuba part (b/c i play contra bass clarinet) and there is no moving parts whatsoever.
and the harmonica wizard march. its got so many high notes i cant reach. a fireside christmas should be burned too. it changes tempos AND time about 8 times.
and lets not forget my girl. it was one of our songs in marching and we had to play it at the beginning of homecoming. i kinda liked it before that, but during homecoming we had to put it on reapeat for a thousand times and we were stuck out in the freezing cold and i swear my fingers were getting frostbite.

I know its sad to say, but i no longer appreciate our alma mater. it was good at first, but now its so overplayed at EVERYTHING, its disgusting. Too much of a good thing, oh yes.

Last year for our Christmas concert, we had to play The Little Drummer Boy. It's not a bad song, but the French Horns had the worst parts ever!!! We played exactly the same thing for the entire piece:

windsprints needs to DIE!!!! a slow, painful, tortous death!!! it's supposed to be a minute and a half long cause it's really fast!! it's freaking 2 pages long! and no, i'm not a little person who's playing easy music, this is a high school wind symphony song (the highest band in our school, tryouts necessary) and it needs to DIE!!!

Rocky22 Nessun Dorma is the worst song ever made I'd have to disagree. With a good trumpet player it's a very awesome song. I hate 3rd Suite. It's always either ..-bom ..-bom ..-bom ..-bom for horns, or it's duhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduhduh. I mean, it's a complex piece and stuff.. but ..lame.

no band played this but it was played over before home football game Cat Scratch Fever. That song did not need to be played as much as it was played.
