Sirica
Sirica trotted along with Aneres, she thought about both questions carefully before answering. "Any one is fine to start. The slits should be..." She paused, stretching the wings slightly, just enough to feel the shirt pull tight, "about, a foot long and five inches apart. When they grow, we will widen the slits." Sirica nodded confidently. They entered the room and she quickly sat dwon and traced with her fingers where they should be. "Here to here, let's cut them!" She smiled broadly. Though she had been out of her egg for thirteen years, for a demon of her species she was still quite young, and very innocent when the ancestral memories did not drag themselves up. They were a life line of sorts, instincts she could rely on should the need arise.

As they went into Sirica's room Mordred decided to go play on the piano while he waited for them. The song was slow deep and almost sad to hear. Mordred closed his eyes as he begin to play, allowing his shadow hands join in on the song. He played this as he waited for them to finish.

The vampire nodded as she memorized the size of the slits and how far apart they should be. When they got to Sirica's room, aneres smiled as she walked over to sit next to the demon. She took the scissors and picked up one of the shirts, Aneres cut the slit quicker then Sirica probably could but slow enough that her hand didn;t seem to dissapear for a second. Aneres checked and made sure that the slits were how they were suppoesed to be. The vampire smiled.
"This ones done, next."
If Aneres had dog ears they would of twitched when she heard music playing softly down stairs, but of coarse she didn't have dog ears so she didn't show that she heard something different. She hoped Sirica could here it because she thought their master was very good at playing the piano. The vampire held the scissors up, the handle pointed towards the demon girl, to see if Sirica wanted to try.

(( Don't worry. You'll find something interesting to do with him. Hopefull in a while. ))

Chase stared at Ari, his eyes blank but slowly catching a gleam of forboding. The boy slowly but firmly took his wrist back form the other and tore the bandage off it. Bleed to death? He'd seen cheetahs lose more blood than him and still live, but somehow that didn't seem the same. . . He shrugged inwardly and looked over at Ari with eyes sunken with fatigue. He smirked though, then motioned to the vent and the stool.
"You're the one with claws. Mine broke."
It had been the lack of sunlight, although Chase didn't know it. And he blamed Nikon for having some weird power that broke his long nails. But he also admired him in the slightest for that too, which was odd.

Ari grumbled and looked at the stool and then to the vent. He judged how far it was and stood on the stool. Once he glanced back at Chase and sighed. No matter what he thought, he was no cheetah. He was raised like one, but that did not mean he was the same. Of course cheetahs could lose blood and still live, but that was in their body's survival. Most humans, from what Ari observed, lost blood, and they would usually pass out then die or just die. The neko shook his head and looked back up at the vent, continuing to judge the distance. It was close enough that he could fit his fingertips over the edge. So, if he jumped, then he would be able to grab inside, right? Ari wanted to test his theory, so he jumped up and tried grabbing something on the inside of the vent, but there was nothing there! The neko fell back on to the stool and tripped over his foot, falling over backwards. He landed on the ground and cursed quietly. "Stupid... Vent..." he growled and looked at Chase with a grumpy look. "Nothing in vent to grab," he mumbled.

Chase, who was preoccupied with pealing off the rest of the bandages, only looked up when Ari tripped over his foot on the stool. His eyes widened and he jerked forward on instinct, stopped a foot from Ari when he realized that the neko was already on the floor. He blinked twice then his expression dulled and he nodded sharply in acknowledgment of what the neko said. So he needed something to make a handhold. . . This should be fun.
The cheetah backed away from Ari, looking around with a sullen glaze to his features. He walked over to the dresser and tried to pull off the handle. It looked shar enough to make some sort of grip, but appearantly it wasn't, since it wouldn't come off the drawer. He growled then whacked the top surface hard, hoping for one of the handles to drop loose. Nothing happened, except for the dresser rocking slightly.
"Next. . . " He murmured before turning to examine the bed. He suddenly spoke a bit loud. "Does it have an end you could of see?"

Ari watched the other and tilted his head to the side. What was he trying to do? It looked like he was trying to get something to create a handle to grab in the vent. He stood up slowly, not wanting to get a head rush, and yawned. The neko watched Chase closely and then back to the vent, wondering if he had seen anything on the inside to grab. He went over and grabbed another stool and set it on top of the first. He waved for Chase to steady it. There were a lot of things in the room they could use to pile up to get out, but they had not tried it before. He grumbled and began to climb up the short mountain of stools to see the inside of the vent. He peeked inside and looked down at Chase. "If Ari get in, then Ari can help Chase in," he said and coughed. He did not know how the other would get in thanks to the rocky stools, but they had to try

You'd think cats would be able to scale some rickety stools. But no, these things were trecherous! Someone must have sawed one leg shorter for all of them. Chase found nothing of use on the bed. . . The rope sheet? He untied it. It could come in handy. Chase wasn't much of a negotiator, but he was a strategist. He usually almost got out of the cages he was put into by playing sick or using dishes and utensils to pry open the bars or pick the lock. But eventually they had stopped leaving the dishes there until the next day.
The boy rubbed his red markings on his forearms, pushing his grey hair out of his eyes before walking over to Ari with the sheet drapped over his shoulder. He firmly held the stools in place and stuffed the blanket under the leg of the one on the floor to steady it, that way it would be easier for Chase to steady the one on top.

What would really be annoying is if Nikon walked into the room now. He did seem to have this annoying habit of walking in on the two just as they were about to escape. Grunting, Chase looked up at the neko and blinked, watching as the other tried to get back intot he vent.

((WHAT!? I had written a reply, and it didn't post it... wtf?))

Ari looked over at Chase and watched him closely. So, they were going to use the sheet rope they had created. Hopefully there was something clingy inside the vent that would take hold of the rope. He looked back up at the vent and thought. How would they get both of them in if one person had to hold the stools steady for one person to get inside? How would the other get in? That was what should have been solved first. Hopefully Chase had an idea. Ari looked back at the boy and grinned slightly.

((Was that a hint to bring Nikon in? We should have him pushed out a window...))

Chase rolled his eyes then tapped his foot impatiently, trying not to get to frustrated. He couldn't though, becaue this was much better than most things he could think of at the moment. And those included being in that underground cage, having guns being pointed at you ready to kill you, and being in one of those publc cages where people gawked at you.
"Well, if you're not gonna go up there again, you hold the stools!" He frowned, waving the end of the cloth rope aimlessly in front of him. "Can attach this to somethin'. . . "

(( I dunno. Whatever you want. Doesn't matter. . . Much. ))
PostPosted: Sun Dec 02, 2007 7:37 pm

((Matter much...))

Ari glared and looked back up at the vent. Now he was getting upset. Chase was really hands-on while the neko worked more in planning it out. He stepped away from the stools and waved his hands to them. All he wanted was to get out. He did not care, he did not care who... He just wanted out. The neko held the stools steady as he waited for the boy to climb up. Just as he did so, he heard the door unlock. His ears twirled towards the enterance to the room, and his tail flared. The neko looked at the door and hissed lowly. "Nikon..." he growled.

The human master walked into the room and looked at them, his eyes turning cold. They were planning on escaping again, and in a better way! He rushed inside and grabbed the neko, throwing him back. Great, there goes being a nice master and being equal with his slaves. Ari grunted as he sat up and rubbed his neck, shutting his eyes tightly. Next was the boy. "Get away from those stools!" Nikon yelled, pointing at both Chase and Ari. The neko stood up slowly, holding on to his neck.

Chase hesistated, then nodded and clambered up ontot the stools. Hey, if the neko didn't want to do it, Chase would! But then Ari hissed somehting that the boy heard as life-threatening and not to gracious. Nikon! He groaned, but when the door opened and the human walked in, Chase was already halfway to the vent. Why stop then? He growled when Ari was tugged back, and spat at the man, but he didn't stop to wait for Nikon to slap him around after he tried to escape. He'd at least get somewhere first. Hoisting himself up on the vent with his elbows, he peered inside the steel tunnel, scrabbling at the wall with his feet.
"In hell I will!" He snapped back, now off the stools and looking desperately for a hand hold in the vent.
It wasn't twenty seconds before one foot missed the wall completely and the cheetah boy plummeted down, whacking his head on the corner of the tallest stool then bringing both of the stools both with him.
There was a loud 'oof!' and then a groan, but all in all, Chase didn't feel like moving after that.

Nikon chuckled as Chase fell to the ground. "Serves you right," he said and walked over to the boy. He grabbed on to the boy's arm and pulled him up from under the stools. Ari, who was still hurting from being pulled around like a rag doll, glared at Nikon. The neko had just about enough of the human and his cruelty. He jumped at the human's back and dug his claws into his shoulder. "Gah! Get off me, you rotten cat!"

"Ari not rotten..." the neko hissed and looked at Chase. He clawed at Nikon's hands, making him let go of the boy. Ari ran to Chase's side after getting Nikon away and knelt beside him. "Chase...?"

Chase lay perfectly still, his eyes unfocused at the ceiling, his breathing shallower than normal. He faintly heard Nikon yelling something, but he didn't care about that. Then his arm was taken roughly and he was pulled out from under the stools. The boy blinked at the man, staring at him as if he was someone he knew but had not seen for a long time. He looked over at Ari, then involuntarly jerked back when the neko jumped at Nikon. The cheetah boy napped out of his stupor, his shoulders quivering slightly with the tense feeling to run, but Ari was already beside him. His brows came together slowly and he tilted his head to the side ever so little.
That fall had really hurt! He couldn't feel his feet.
"Hm. . . ?" He murmured, then his eyes narrowed on the cat ears and he frowned as if he had just realized who he was alking to. "Well, that didn't work. say we try fitting through the window bars next."

The human master looked at the boy and laughed. "You can't escape..." he said. Maybe something inside clicked, and he finally realized that he was hurting the two slaves he had chosen. Though, it was too late to get the neko's trust back. Ari's tail was flared out as he stood beside the boy. A low, grumbling growl formed in his chest as he glared at the human man. It was too late. Too late to gain trust from the neko, but it did not matter. Ari's mind was set on escape and hopefully learn something from Chase out in the fields he was talking about. Ari looked at the other and whimpered, his ears laying back.
"Chase okay...?" he asked quietly and then glared at the man. Nikon just stood there dumbfounded. He left and shook his head. What was he doing? His home was no better than the cages they lived in. Neither of them trusted him nor did they want to stay there. That was enough for him. If they escaped, they escaped. But, he did not want them to go. For some reason, he had grown attached to them... But how? It was strange. He sat down on the couch in the living room, having closed the slaves' bedroom door, not locking it, and looking up at the ceiling.

Chase looked from the growling neko to the man when the human spoke. He blinked, trying to register the man's face, but he was too far away. His long distance vision had gone blurry and he shook his head slowly, endeavouring to get rid of the dull throb there. He glared silently at him though, for his words were not ones that the cheetah boy wanted to hear. He wanted to at least be able to walk somewhere without being told what to do and how to do it! This whole situation was a pain!
"Fine," He replied shortly, watching the man leave then collapsing backwards to lean on his hands. His stomach growled again and Chase felt suddenly a slight bit embarrassed. He had eaten a fruit, and that was usually enough to keep him going in the cage for a good two days. Appearantly not enough for a few hours in this house.
"You hear a lock click?" He asked slowly, turning his gaze up to the neko's eyes.
